So, Escape is... definitely a game, and not exactly the best in the series. But, do you have a favorite moment? Be it a little joke dialogue or from a cutscene. I think mine's when you try to use the grog on anything except the actual solution and Guybrush just goes "No! My grog!", or with gameplay when I picked up the manhole cover and just ran off to the next screen still.h holding it, that was really funny to me for some reason.
Escape is.... yeah. It's definitely a game. And one that I can (and have) ranted about. In a condense nutshell, as part of the Monkey Island series, it's most definitely the weakest, there's no tip toeing around it. As a stand alone? It probably wouldn't be nearly as atrocious but I will never forgive the over abundance of pop culture media and the depiction of your newly wed wife.
Like I said, it's a rant I can go on if prompted (and have on stream).
But, with all that said, yeah, I do actually have a favorite moment. A few of them, actually!
Like I said, the game isn't the strongest and definitely the worst/weakest in the series, but there are moments and jokes that do genuinely get a laugh out of me.
1- The Guybrush and LeChuck puppets. I love those puppets. Anytime those two appear I'm always giggling, especially so during the part where you actively try to get the general (whose name eludes me right now and I'm too lazy to look up) to fire at you.
2- Guybrush being (RIGHTFULLY) allowed to be an absolute public menace. Such as him bullying Marco Polo, his absolute done-ness of Herman and Jojo, and how he was towards LeChuck (and Ozzie) before the absolutely terrible detestable portion of EMI that is the titular island itself.
3- Throwing the dart at the player and at the JPEG balloon. Every single time this makes me laugh.
Bonus this particular moment with Guybrush and the match. I liked this moment enough to make a gifset and also because this was one out of maybe three times in ALL OF ESCAPE that Guybrush and Elaine were on the same page, he made that joke and she DIDN'T disagree with him.
#monkey island#sorry to fans who like Escape.... I try to find highlights without going foam in the mouth ;u;

Introduction
Hello!
Salutations, friends, travelers, and all those present.
I'd like to welcome you. My name is Angel. She/He, please.
I'm sure we'll find something here that interests you here.
I'll have a bit about me, (most of) my fandoms, and my personas/self inserts and my fandom and non-fandom ocs.
I do roleplay sometimes. Usually only with friends, but if you're fine with doing short and simple stuff I'm sure we can give it a shot! Please keep in mind that I have a life, and a busy one at that. So, I may not have the most time in the world. And if I don't like roleplaying with you and I don't find it fun I will tell you so (politely) and stop replying. Here are my rules. Also, I don't usually censor and am generally okay with darker topics, but please let me know what you have in mind before we start.
I'm just a silly little fae that loves stories and bats. Hope you have fun! Don't be scared so ask me something or start up a conversation!

🎃SpookTober 31 Days Prompts🎃
Day 29: Candy Apples🍭
Monkey D. Luffy x GN!Reader. Fluff. Luffy loves food. So candy is no different. Indulgence. Luffy is so freaking adorable! Cute moments. SpookTober Prompt: Candy Apples🍭
●☆●☆●☆●☆●☆●☆●☆●☆●☆●☆●☆●☆●☆●☆●
☆●~Sweet Tooth~●☆
You and Luffy head to a Halloween carnival and with the promise of popcorn and food, Luffy drags you over to sample some tasty candy apples.
"This is gonna be so freaking cool! I'm gonna win so many prizes!" You Cried as you and Luffy headed towards the Harvest Carnival.
"I'm gonna eat SO much food!!" Cried Luffy as he ran after you with a laugh.
The Harvest Carnival was in full swing, you had jugglers, acrobats and clowns all on parade with spooky attractions offering up scary experiences and the prize stalls were jam packed with super cute spooky plushies to win!
The food stalls were busy with customers lining up for popping popcorn, flaming hot dogs and swirling candyfloss, along with a stall selling scrumptious candy apples, a perfect Halloween season treat!
"I'm gonna try my hand at the game stalls" You Smiled.
"Food stalls for me!" Cried Luffy and the two of you headed towards your destinations. You arrived at the stall with super cute Halloween Squishmallows to win and you were eyeing up a few.
"Step right up my good customer! We have spooktacular plushies for you! All you have to do is win the game and you'll pick a prize!" Cried the game master.
"Okay!" You Agreed excitedly.
"Right, hit all the targets to win!" Cried the game master. You smiled and took the ball, lined up the shot and threw the ball, hitting the first target. You repeated this until all targets were hit and the bell sounded, signalling a winner.
"Congratulations! You are a winner! Now pick a prize to take home with you!" Cried the game master.
You picked out the super cute Mallow Mash Emily the Bat Squishmallow and you squealed with joy when you received it.
"Oh my gosh! She's so cute!!" You Squealed with delight as you cuddled the spooky Squishmallow with love. The Game Master smiled and you went along your way.
You bumped into Luffy on the way to the next stall, munching away on a bag of freshly popped popcorn with a big grin as he held out a hot dog to you.
"Here, I got you one too!" Grinned Luffy as you took the hot dog with a thank you and a smile.
"Did you get one for yourself Luffy?" You Asked
"I already did! 3 to be exact!" Replied Luffy with that big sunny grin of his. You laughed, of course Luffy would eat 3 hot dogs! His love of food, particularly meat was his favourite.
"See you won yourself a prize!" Remarked Luffy eyeing your Squishmallow. You smiled proudly at that.
"Sure did! Wanna try your hand at a game?" You Asked.
"Yeah! Let's go!" Cheered Luffy as you two headed to another game stall.
This game stall had you firing water guns into the mouths of these clowns who each had a balloon. If you filled up 3 of your clowns's balloons, you'd win.
Buggy the Clown was there and challenged Luffy instantly upon seeing the Straw Hat Pirate.
"You're going down Straw Hat!" Cried Buggy, snarling in Luffy's face. Luffy just smirked back, infuriating Buggy further.
"We'll see Bozo" Smirked Luffy.
"It's Buggy!" Snarled Buggy.
The round started and you watched anxiously as Luffy, determined to win went straight into the game. You watched as Luffy filled 2 balloons as Buggy finished his first. Before you knew it, Luffy filled the last balloon and won the game, the bell sounding off as Buggy cursed at the pair of you before storming off angrily.
Luffy picked a fluffy plushie of a Franken Bear Squishmallow and he cuddled it, sticking his tongue out at Buggy's retreating form.
"Wow what a sore loser!" You Remarked with a scoff. Luffy nodded in agreement. Buggy could be really childish sometimes and tonight was no different.
You two spent the a few coins on some games, taking part in a spooky haunted house experience before concluding the night with trying out the delicious candy apples.
"You've ate so much so far! Sure you won't get sick Luffy?" You Asked. Luffy laughed.
"Nonsense Y/N! If I can't get seasick, I totally won't get sick from eating a few candy apples!" Declared Luffy. You chuckled but went along with it.
You purchased two toffee dipped candy apples and Luffy purchased 3. You watched as Luffy took a BIG chomp outta his candy apple and a big smile came to his face.
"Is it good?" You Asked taking a bite out of yours and smiling at the sweet taste.
"It's REALLY GOOD!" Replied Luffy through a full mouth, making you both laugh together. You both nibbled on the candy apples as you walked around the lively Carnival, lit up by the bright lights, the smell of popcorn wafting through the air and the taste of candy apples on your lips.

How Bloons Tower Defense 6 related to Product Management
Recently, I have been revisiting one of my most favorite beloved games of all time: Bloons Tower Defense 6 which was made in 2018 by game studio Ninja Kiwi. While previous iterations were Java Applets and Flash games, this one is a full fledged Windows PC Game released on Steam.
Essentially, there is a track or a path that balloons and blimps go on, and you place monkeys on the sides to pop the balloons; you lose health points if the balloons reach the exit. It’s extremely colorful and whimsical as a game. Seems rather childish and easy until you realize that further levels require you to literally look up tutorials and play with others to win the final rounds. (Still very fun regardless!)
Levels range from easiest of the easy -> multiple extremely hard modes on over 30+ maps. Some more difficult levels on these maps include having half cash, double health on the blimps, and 1 Health Max, to name a few. With all of these really have you think about how you spend your money, which qualities in the monkeys you pick out, etc.
You’re probably wondering why I like it in the first place, and how this even relates to Product Management and Strategy. Let's get the obvious out of the way: I don’t like First-Person Shooters like many other folks do, and I really do like the bright colors Bloons TD 6 provides. The bright colors really are deceiving with how challenging the game can be. Additionally, it’s stress relieving and makes me forget frustrating stuff in life.
Now, on to the PM side… how does a Tower Defense game relate to PM strategy and Business Intelligence?
You have to thoughtfully craft out and strategize your next moves until each map fully ends
Budgeting is an extremely important component between dying and winning within the Bloons TD Series. One wrong purchase can literally mean you’re dead, especially in the harder modes.
Top-down, you have to know every skill tree that monkeys offer in order to maximize gains and strategize budget.
Yes you can look these features up while playing, but it often times wastes time and it’s better just memorizing the skill trees
Big Picture: you not only have to take into account all of the above for every level you play. In addition, you also have Knowledge Points skill trees so you can buff up your defaults for every level. Strategizing this can set you up for greater success even more.
While yes, you can purchase some of these with real life currency, working hard for these is much more rewarding. One particular level I am struggling with right now is Half Cash mode on the first map, Monkey Meadows. Once I figure out the solution I’ll definitely come back here with some stellar advice! But for now, I have been trying to slowly figure out the perfect solution.
Actually, in a way, this issue is comparable to a dilemma that some companies share. How can you create a value-add to the customer that's cost effective, revenue-gaining, without cutting corners down the line? something I have noticed from other levels in Bloons TD 6:
Be consistent with your service offerings and prices
You need to be generally consistent with your pricing model and service offerings or you might get a high customer churn
if there is a significant change, have an off boarding scheme and also notify customers with ample time to consider options
You can always add in perks later but don't add too late in the process
this indirectly might cause churn as customers might think, “I can get/should have gotten these features for a similar price elsewhere!”
If you have a service installation, conduct regular meeting/satisfaction check-ins and health checks on the service offered
You can determine a meeting cadence that's appropriate with the customer if needed but it's not recommended to have random or surprise meetings unless there is an emergency. (also, “should have been an email” is definitely a consideration depending on the situation.)
Additionally make sure you regularly check in with customer care and marketing teams to make sure canned responses and response funnels are up to speed
Team Preparations - make sure your team is skilled enough + ready for the project
See how I worded that – I didn't say omnipotent and super-expert people needed to be in your team. Just make sure they know what they're talking about have the experiences needed, AND know how to talk about it in different contexts, different audiences. Keep explanations simple when needed!
Many teams over-hired during the Pandemic and took a bet on many people who under performed. I have also actually seen folks be promoted to senior and staff roles right out of college (Eek!) While we all need income, you should be reasonable when hiring and bringing folks into projects.
While this is definitely a video game and not real professional experience, this does very closely echo some of the real-world experiences I have had. I had an interview a few months ago for a PM Position and they have heavily emphasized budgetary measures. (Their solutions offered to customers included cost-effective cloud products and architecture.) This really has had me thinking since, "Is it even possible to be cost-effective AND have quality service offerings?" Yes, it's definitely possible, and Bloons has taught me this. Obviously you can't have everything in life. In Bloons, I always anticipate and can't WAIT to have the final skill in the skill trees when I'm beating a map. But looking at bigger picture and my current budget the whole time, while doing budget forecasting has really helped my long-term vision of what is possible.

My live reactions to the Anti-Woke games list
TL;DR: go buy Ikenfell, Tactical Breach Wizards, Subnautica or Celeste!
For those of you not chronically online (lol you're on Tumblr, who am I kidding), a group has recently released a list of games containing "woke" themes. Obviously, I'm gonna link to it and suggest you buy one of the games in red, but here's my live reactions for you to enjoy under the cut. I swear to g-d these incels have the thinnest skin known to man or beast:
Bloons?? The fucking monkey balloon popping game???????? How… what. What even.
Hogwarts legacy is WILD given JKs descent into madness
Oh man I gotta reply Subnautica again, that game slaps
LMAO From Software stay winning, Miyazaki says this foot fetish is rated E for everyone
Cassette Beasts is completely unsurprising.
Wait, Cloth Hollow Knight was a lesbian?????? Where did that get revealed???? I love her?!
LMAO at Portal 2, these are truly the softest little boys imaginable
I don't think I've ever seen a straight Stardew fan; I can't believe it's not red
STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT IS INSANE LMAO????? Guess it's woke to acknowledge that women play video games
Hardspace Shipbreaker mention eyyyyy
LMAO at Spider Man MM. Once again, the thinnest skin imaginable
Yeah, completely unsurprised to see Celeste here. You go girl
DREAM DADDY MY BELOVED LMAO. My only contact with this particular piece of media is Arin promoting it in a Starbomb album
I don't know what “Hustle Cat” is, but I feel a need to find out
You're telling me a game called “Super Lesbian Animal RPG” exists and is woke? I'm shocked, truly
AMOGUS
How is The Outer Worlds not red? Did they miss the whole anti-capitalist theme of the game?? They're not just thin-skinned, they're also stupid (not shocking).
Ditto Armored Core VI; I guess it's missable but like you kinda have to try
Outer Wilds my beloved, I forgot that literally everyone all the hearthians were NBs
Wouldn't have expected a game called “Super Punchy Face” to be woke, but good for them
IKENFELL MY BELOVED. Yeah this game is queer as hell, it's also super indie so I'm glad they didn't miss it.
Yeah obviously vampires are gay. Come on now.
Huh, I hadn't considered No Man's Sky, but yeah I guess? Lol.
Every RPG is woke, shocking. I'm so surprised.
Again, could not be LESS surprised by Stephen Universe.
For one beautiful, shining moment, I forgot that Apex existed.
More gay vampires yeehaw
Age of Empires DE??? Wow.
LMAO do NOT come for Tales of the Shire like that and get your information wrong you dumb fucks; Tolkien LITERALLY described one of the races of hobbits as having brown skin. The lack of literacy is ASTOUNDING.
KOTOR stay winning
UNEXPLAINED DIVERSITY for No Rest for the Wicked, an early access game we know little about the lore of??? I'm deceased LMFAO
Ninja Pizza Girl sounds rad as fuck
Wartales is kinda wild ngl
NOT THE KFC DATING SIM IM DEADDDDD
Overcooked on the list???? For a disabled raccoon????????
Wingspan is insane lol
Another Crabs Treasure mentioned RAAAA
Oh shit Wizard with a Gun is woke? I'm gonna need to buy that
They missed Tactical Breach Wizards. Shame.
And the list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1AVTZPJij5PQmlWAkYdDahBrxDiwqWMGsWEcEnpdKTa4/htmlview?pli=1#

Are there any tower defense games similar to the custom games from WCIII Frozen Throne?
Are there any tower defense games similar to the custom games from WCIII Frozen Throne? I really enjoyed playing those custom/modded tower defense games from Warcraft III, you know, the lobbies that weren’t DOTA. Where can I find something like that now? Plants vs. zombies etc wasn’t quite it. The monkey balloon pop iOS game was ight but still not quite there. Surely the game I’m looking for is out there. Clash Clans:
Clash of Clans is a free-to-play, strategy mobile game released in 2012 by Supercell. Clash of Clans allows the player to build a base of their own design, train troops and attack other player's bases to gain materials to improve the defense of one's own base and get trophies to move up the in-game leaderboard. Players can also form together in a clan to compete against other clans to get to the top of another leaderboard. During later stages of the game, base upgrades require many materials and take many real life days to complete; enticing the player to spend money to make it faster.
The main selling point of the game is that it appeals both to the players who want to spend time carefully designing a sound base and those who just want to climb the ranks aggressively.
Bloons TD:
Bloons is a free-to-play, strategy mobile game released in 2007 by Ninja Kiwi. The main gameplay loop in Bloons is that enemy balloons will float along a track and the player must stop them before they go off the screen by deploying dart-throwing monkeys and other towers to pop the balloons. The player will receive in-game money to spend upgrading the power of the towers and to deploy more of them. Though it is a simple concept, it is executed well with many different types of towers and balloons, with upgrades that can drastically change the role the towers perform. The game is challenging, with many different waves and balloons that'll scale with the current wave.
Achikaps:
Achikaps is a free-to-play, strategy / survival mobile game released in 2016 by solo developer - Ivan Yakovliev. The main aim of Achikaps is to build a base, upgrade it, fend against attackers and expand your base. To build most structures, the player must use a varied amount of materials gathered by other structures. There are people roaming the base that must be given roles on what to do (like working at the structures, bringing materials to the structures and defending the base). The game received its popularity as it was fairly simple and the art style reflected that, as the sprites are all lines and multi-coloured shapes. A trend with Yiotro's (Ivan Yakovliev) games are that they have no advertisements or microtransactions.
Antiyoy:
Antiyoy is a free-to-play, turn-based strategy mobile game produced by Ivan Yakovliev in 2015. Currently Yakovliev's most successful game, it's gameplay is very simple while still being a challenge. The main aspect of the game is taken part on a hexagonal grid where the player must expand their kingdom while keeping their money at a positive. The player can use troops to uncover tiles to build on and claim while an enemy player or AI is doing the same. The troops work in a tier-based system where peasants can claim unprotected tiles, spearmen can claim tiles protected by the castle and can kill peasants, knights can claim tiles protected by a level 1 tower and can kill spearmen, and swordsmen can claim any tile and can kill knights and other swordsmen. Each turn the player will gain money based on how big their land is and how many troops they have - if the money gained next turn is negative, all of that player's troops will die (higher tier troops cost more each turn). The game ends when only one player remains.
Shotgun King: The Final Checkmate:
Shotgun King is a turn-based, roguelike, strategy game developed by Punkcake Delicieux in 2022. The game takes a spin on the classic game of chess where the player plays as the king... who also has a shotgun. The waves get harder as the player is forced to pick one of 3 cards that come with a positive and a negative trait at the end of a wave. The game follows the traditional chess rules where the king can only move one square from their origin, while the other pieces follow their classic move patterns. The game ends when the player is taken by another piece and therefore checkmated. The player can either move or attack before their turn ends.
The game is so popular due to its unusual twist on the classic chess board game, by turning it into a roguelike.
I am looking into this game solely because of the card mechanic at the end of a wave, I find it interesting that it makes the player and the enemies stronger and think it could be something to include in my game.

This ability is particularly useful for dealing with tightly-packed groups of bloons that are often difficult to take down. Aside from its offensive capabilities, the Apex Plasma Master also has a passive ability that increases the attack speed and range of nearby towers. This makes it an excellent support unit that can enhance the performance of your other towers. Overall, the Apex Plasma Master (Dart Monkey) is a top-tier Paragon that can easily dominate any battlefield.
