Pulled the numbers on what colleges were most common for the US/Can actors. This is mostly taken from the Wiki. May be missing some actors/colleges. I generally tried to only count it when an actor actually got a degree in the performing arts, but it's possible that some of these still went to college for something else. I'll probably do this for the UK eventually, too.

4 Cal State - Fullerton (Ellie Wyman, Abigail Sparrow, Lauren Mariasoosay, Taylor Sage Evans) Columbia College (Courtney Mack, Megan Leung, Mallory Maedke, Shantel Cribbs) Sheridan College (Julia Pulo, Elysia Cruz, Hailey Alexis Lewis, Julia McLellan)

Zuma Beach
If you're looking for a great spot to sunbathe in Malibu, then Zuma Beach is an excellent choice. It's a wide stretch of clean, sandy beach that's consistently ranked among the best in Southern California, and it's also a popular destination for surfers.
It's also an ideal place to watch the sunset, and if you're lucky, you'll catch a glimpse of whales in the winter months!
You'll find plenty of parking at the beach and there are lifeguards to keep you safe, as well as a number of food stands. There's also a boardwalk that runs the length of the beach and makes it an ideal location for romantic walks at sunset.
The sands of Zuma Beach are soft and smooth, and they're perfect for building sand castles or swimming in the warm ocean. There are a number of volleyball nets available, as well as beach games and activities for children.
There are a variety of water sports available at Zuma Beach, including surfing, bodyboarding, and swimming. You can even snorkel to see sand dollars, sea urchins, and kelp. You'll want to be aware of rip currents in the area, though.
If you're looking for a less crowded beach, try Dan Blocker Beach (known as Corral Beach by locals). It's a small, county-owned beach that doesn't get much traffic in the summer, so it's easy to enjoy a day at the shore without having to worry about other people.
You'll also want to check out El Matador Beach, which is one of the best beaches in Malibu to watch the sun set over the horizon. There are a number of rocks that create stunning contrasts between the crashing waves and the soft sands.
Another great beach to visit is Las Tunas Beach, which is a narrow, rocky beach that offers a scenic backdrop for beachwalkers in the eastern end of Malibu. This undeveloped stretch of beach is a popular fishing and scuba diving spot throughout the year, with a parking lot offered along Pacific Coast Highway.
Other beaches nearby include Point Dume, which is a secluded bluff with amazing views of the Santa Monica Bay and is a great spot for whale watching in the winter. The area is home to a number of hiking trails, as well as tide pools full of sea anemones, crabs, and mussels.
There's also a small Westward Beach located next to Zuma Beach, which is another good option for a casual day at the shore.
A few other notable beaches in the area include Topanga Beach, Leo Carrillo State Park, and Malibu Lagoon. Each of these beaches has its own special appeal, and each is a must-visit for anyone in the Los Angeles area who wants to enjoy a day on the beach.
There are many other hidden beaches in Malibu, too, and you should take the time to discover them. These beaches might not be as famous as their more famous neighbors, but they're still a beautiful place to spend a few hours with the family or take your significant other on a date.

The Best Way to Spend 5 Days in LA
Tumblr media
With so much to see in and around LA, from iconic movie and film sets at Universal Studios to Disneyland, Hollywood, the Chinese Theatre, and the plethora of shops dotted along Rodeo Drive, having an itinerary is not just a good idea – it’s a necessity.
And with every great itinerary comes the need for well-located, comfortable Los Angeles accommodation – with the LA Mariposa hotel just minutes from Universal Studios and an enjoyable hike away from Beverly Hills and the opulence of West Hollywood.
Without further ado, here is our guide to 5 memorable days in LA.
Day 1 – Explore on foot
Take a walk through LA and get lost in the network of footpaths, hiking trails, and incredible viewpoints. This is the day to get to know your surroundings, keeping your eyes peeled for the infamous Hollywood sign as you go.
Some of the best hiking routes for more serious explorers in LA include the Griffith Park trail, the Runyon Canyon trail, and the Upper Canyonback trail (the latter of which is particularly popular with dog owners as dogs can be let free all along the trail).
Day 2 – Universal Studios
Just minutes from the LA Mariposa hotel, Universal Studios is an immersive and exciting day out – combining rides and the theme park atmosphere with an eye-opening studio lot tour which takes you through and past both active and historical sets from some of the most popular movies and shows on the big (and small) screen.
Day 3 – Hollywood, Rodeo Drive, and Lunch out!
This is the day to splurge – saying goodbye to your diet and hello to great local food (as well as a few treats and gifts from some of LA’s hottest shops. A visit to Rodeo Drive and Downtown LA will have you celeb-spotting without even trying and will give you a chance to explore and try out some of the juices and dishes you see on the most popular LA-set shows and movies.
Day 4 – Disneyland
Disneyland in California is the original park that Walt Disney himself designed and opened, and as such it is a must-see for fans of the films, the concept, and the world that Disney creates. A fun day out whatever your age, enjoy rides, the parade, and the evening firework show – as well as a plethora of great food and drink all day long.
Day 5 – Sun, Sea, Sand
What better way to close your holiday than with a day on the beach – with the most popular beaches in LA and wider California including Malibu beach, Santa Monica beach, Cabrillo beach, Venice Beach, and Leo Carrillo beach. Santa Monica beach and pier is the closest beach to the Mariposa hotel, or you can jump in the car and head further away from LA to really immerse yourself in the relaxed Californian lifestyle outside of LA.
Stay to watch the sunset and enjoy a picture perfect end to a busy week!

Day 38 - Leo Carrillo State Park Campground to Wilmington
Last night was the final camping night of the trip. Options were limited south, so I found a cheap motel and hostel tonight and tomorrow night. Thankfully last night was bone dry, so all my camping equipment can stay packed away until I get back to Vancouver.
Last night was also the warmest night on the trip. Was nice getting out of the tent in the morning and not feeling a chill.
The riding today started through Malibu. Given how well known it is, I thought there might be more to it. It's mostly just big homes up in the hills and on the ocean side of Hwy 1. There wasn't any real city centre or anything. I guess just homes for the rich who don't need amenities (they have everything in their homes?).
Cycling along Hwy 1 went fine. I'd read it can feel sketchy at times with lots of cars parked on the shoulder forcing you onto the highway. There were certainly a number of times that happened, but I'd just wait a couple seconds for a lull in traffic and pass the parked cars. Went pretty smooth and after about 30kms I hit Santa Monica and the start of a 20 mile bike path along the stretch of beaches through LA and the surrounding cities. The bike path wasn't too busy, thankfully, as I can imagine on a weekend or during prime time the area would be swarming with people. The stretch of beaches is pretty astonishing. I was surprised by the size and how clean and well maintained it was. It was nice to see that they take so much care of such a huge area.
I didn't stop too much to hang out, the riding was going pretty smooth and I was enjoying just going along the path through all the different beaches (Santa Monica, Venice, Manhattan, Hermosa, Redondo, and more).
After some time, I needed to start heading east through the city. Google Maps had me cut over through Torrence to get to Wilmington, my destination for the night. That ended up being mostly on bike lanes on the city streets, though LA seems to have a penchant for creating bike lanes that just…end. To be fair this is a common thing I find in lots of cities. Weird planning 🤔. Usually at that point I try to find a side street to ride on before coming across more bike lanes. That worked out well enough for me.
My motel for the night is near LA's cruise ship port. There isn't much around so I will just stay in tonight after grabbing dinner. The port is far enough away for me to not want to check out.
Hitting the home stretch now, two more days of riding and I'm in San Diego!
