Recently discovered a more unique take on a Momswap au I did all the way back in 2021 and thought it was such a neat concept that I wanted to revive them!

Basically, I had never really seen any Momswap aus with Topaz and Aquamarine and eventually added Eyeball as well! (Especially considering she’s one of few gems who seemed to have an affiliation with Pink Diamond) Just something different I wanted to try and I like how they came out!

I really do truly love momswap au - I think it puts the homeworld gems in such an interesting spot character development wise, and I love trying to incorporate all of the main story bits they have in canon to their momswapped selves. it's an au I would love to explore a bit more!!

"The Smothering - Steven Universe Fan episode" by Comedic Interlude at YouTube

I found while a few years ago, and even now, this is easily one of the best Steven Universe fan projects I've seen. It's mostly an animatic, but it has the writing, voices, and audio cues you'd expect from an actual episode.

If you haven't seen this by now, then it's definitely worth looking into! It's quite an accomplishment!

My version of Momswap Pearl.

In this AU the diamonds are kind of the same, except each one had their own way to deal with the grief of having lost Pink. Yellow became apathetic and filled with guilt over having treated Pink in a bad way. Blue went kind of... crazy, in constant denial, therefore she became hard to deal with, and barely talked to other gems of her court (and the diamonds too) as she’d talk to them like they were Pink, and White sought for vengeance, taking care of army’s matters and sending gems to attack the Crystal Gems back on Earth.

Our Pearl used to be part of PD’s court until the whole “shattering” issue, in which PD’s gems went to belong to both YD and BD and she ended up being Yellow’s and was given to a gem of her court to assist her. She got caught in the middle of the war alongside said gem and was trapped in a mirror, just as Lapis, being released by Steven years later.

Her powers include Psammokinesis and Nephelokinesis.

A lot really changed! Her season 3 look I didn't include as its just season 2 hair with season 1 clothes only main difference being slowly increasing eyebags
