Twice's 10th member has a nightmare, J-line in action!
A/N: Heyyy, I'm back fr lol! Sry for taking so long to post but finally the semester ended :D I hope that my friend Thira_Harris that gave me this idea on Wattpad likes it! :)
The request: Hi I want to request can you do where y/n have a nightmare and she went to the Japanese line. They calm her down and babied her she fell asleep on their chest. Thank you ❤️. Love your book
PS: Tysm for everyone that reads what I write, I hope I can bring a smile to your faces every time I post! I'd like to thank whoever sent me this idea 'cause I loved to write it <3
__________________________________________________________
Y/N woke up with a start, drenched in a cold sweat, gasping for breath. Her heart raced in her chest, and she shivered uncontrollably. It was just a nightmare, she reminded herself, but the vivid images still haunted her mind, refusing to let go. She desperately needed comfort, a respite from the shadows that lingered.
In her state of distress, Y/N found herself instinctively gravitating towards the room of her fellow TWICE members from from the J-line, Momo, Sana, and Mina. The Japanese line had always been a source of warmth and solace for her, their gentle presence reassuring and comforting. With that thought in mind, she slowly made her way down the hallway, her steps heavy with exhaustion and anxiety. As she reached their door, she hesitated for a moment, her hand trembling slightly before she finally knocked. A few seconds later, the door swung open to reveal a concerned Momo, her eyes widening at the sight of Y/N's disheveled appearance.
Momo - Baby? What happened?
Momo's voice was laced with worry as she pulled her lovely dongsang into a gentle embrace, her arms enveloping her smaller frame.
Y/N's voice trembled as she explained, her words tumbling out in a rush.
Y/N - I... I had a nightmare. It was so vivid, and I can't forget it so I'm afraid.
Momo's grip tightened, and she ushered the maknae inside the room. Sana and Mina were sitting on the bed, their expressions softening as they noticed the girl's distress. Sana beckoned TWICE's honey to come closer, patting the spot next to her on the bed as she spoke with her voice filled with tenderness.
Sana - Come here, sugar. We'll take care of you.
Y/N didn't hesitate as she moved towards the bed, sinking down beside Sana. Mina shuffled closer, wrapping her arms around their kiddo from behind, completing the circle of support. They formed a cocoon of warmth and love, shielding her from the nightmares that plagued her mind. Momo gently brushed the stray strands of hair away from Y/N's face, her touch soothing and delicate as she whispered to calm down their youngest's troubled soul.
Momo - You're safe here, lovebug. We're here for you.
Sana began to hum a soft melody, the familiar tune spreading tranquility through the room. The sound wrapped around Y/N like a gentle embrace, easing the knots of fear in her stomach (I mean- who wouldn't die in peace if Sana sang to them? I for sure would lol).
Mina's voice joined in, her tone gentle and comforting.
Mina - You don't have to face it alone, darling. (A/N: Am I the only one that feels like Mina would be the type of person to say darling with her sweet voice? Just me? K lmao) We're with you, always and forever.
Y/N closed her eyes, allowing the combined melody and soothing words to wash over her, the weight of her nightmares slowly lifting. The warmth and tenderness that surrounded her created a sense of security she hadn't felt in a long time. Momo's voice held a touch of reassurance that made the maknae feel like everything would be okay.
Momo - Let go of the fear, sweet girl. We'll protect you, just like the family we are.
Sana leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to Y/N's forehead.
Sana - We love you, honeybee. You're not alone.
Y/N felt tears prickling at the corners of her eyes, overwhelmed by the depth of their care. She whispered an answer back, her voice choked with emotion.
Y/N - Thank you unnies.
Mina squeezed their maknae gently, her voice filled with unwavering support.
Mina - You're important to us, cutie pie. We'll always be here, even in the darkest of times.
Time seemed to lose meaning as the youngest leaned into the warmth of their embrace, feeling her heartbeat gradually slowing down, matching the steady rhythm of the arms that cradled her. The exhaustion from her ordeal began to weigh heavily upon her, her eyelids growing heavy. Y/N's breathing steadied, her tension slowly melting away as a sense of peace settled over her. The Japanese line continued their quiet ministrations, fully aware of the significance of their role in this moment. They were the anchors that kept the girl grounded, the pillars of strength that she could rely on. As the room fell into a hushed stillness, Y/N felt her body relax, the overwhelming fatigue pulling her closer to sleep. Momo, Sana, and Mina exchanged gentle smiles, their eyes reflecting the depth of their love and care for the kid they called their little sister.
They knew that nightmares might visit again, but they also knew that Y/N would never have to face them alone. In the safety of their embrace, she had found a shelter, a place where her fears could be silenced, and her heart could find solace. As she finally succumbed to sleep, her head resting on her Mina unnie's chest, a sense of tranquility washed over her. The Japanese line held her close, their love serving as a shield against the darkness that had plagued her dreams. And so, Y/N slept, cradled in the loving arms of her TWICE family, knowing that when she woke, she would find the strength to face another day, fortified by the unwavering support of those who cherished her. As the unnies watched her sleep they could only have one thought:
I am proud of our chosen family.
A/N: I apologise for any errors, English is not my first language. Pls, let me know if there's something wrong, ty for reading <3

Can I get some headcanons for 1-A with a s/o that loves flowers? Like they garden them and gift flowers to their friends a lot.
I’ve been loving your writing, keep it up 💘
WAAA <3333333
Izuku thinks it’s really cute, he loves receiving flowers from you. For your first date though, he was unsure if he should get you flowers or not, he knows you love them but … what if he gets really bad flowers?
Todoroki thinks it’s sweet. You remind him of a gentle flower, so the fact you like flowers so much only fuels that idea in his head. He gets you flowers for every date you guys go on.
Bakugou seriously cannot fathom that he’s dating somebody so different from him. His friends still make fun of the fact he’s destroyed many flowers without a though and you treat them like your babies.
The first time you gifted tokoyami a flower he knew he was in love. It was a black petunia, and it filled his black heart with so much warmth. He thinks it’s really sweet.
Iida appreciates any flowers you bring him. In his eyes it’s how you show appreciation and gratitude towards others so he always accepts your flowers in full. Mina always cracks jokes about how in love he is with you, to be so willing to cover his room in flowers for your sake.
Kaminari loves flowers too fun fact. His parents own a flower shop of their own, just a fun headcanon. Anyways, totally starts giving you nice flowers as gifts as well! You two are adorable :)
Kirishima gets teased by his moms a lot, because he literally calls them everytime to be like “y/n gave me another flowers” “AWWWW” he just starts gifting you flowers to pay you back for it but he cannot help but wonder if the flowers are even… good by your standards? Hard to tell.. honestly
Aoyama goes out his way to give you a rose, everyday. He starts doing this as a way to woo you, but it ends up just being a habit of his. And you as well to give him a pretty rose. It’s honestly weird if the two of you don’t give eachother a rose.
Shoji thinks your interest in flowers is sweet, he’s secretly fangirling over it. Also fan girls the first time you gift him a flower but he manages to keep his cool around you :) very hard to do though, believe him.
Ojirou doesn’t ever say this outloud but man he thinks you’re super adorable, loves any flowers you give him, even if he acts kinda .. shy about it. He ends up buying you a little flower pin for you to wear.
Sero is too nervous to buy you a flower that isn’t to your liking, but appreciates any you plant for him. Likes spending time with you by helping you plant, but he fucks up the process occasionally.
Ochako thinks it’s neat, she makes flower crowns with you everytime you guys hang out. It’s fun. Makes you a flower bracelet and necklace while she’s at it as well.
Mina always tells you how cute she thinks you are, she makes it a habit to wear flower dresses on your dates, just so you’ll pay extra attention to her and make her feel extra confident !
Jirou can’t help but feel like this is some delinquent x innocent flower person fanfic. Even though she’s not even a delinquent.. lol it’s the punk rock aesthetic isn’t it. She loves you very much she just can’t help but feel like she’s in such a cliche trope. She doesn’t mind though.
Momo has tons of money so she just… buys you tons of flowers. Buys you nice flower dresses (if you don’t like dresses then a masculine version lol) you two buy flowers for eachother a lot at this point lol. She also offers to help you with a flower shop, if you wanted.
Tsuyu thinks it’s sweet, always gets red in the face whenever you decide to put a green flower in her hair. She does the same to you as well, you guys are the cutest.

do any of the teachers ever notice the things happening to y/n? (i headcannon Mic and Midnight as yanderes that would give advice to 1A lol)
yandere!Class 1A x fem!reader
[2.1K]
Summary: Aizawa is the first one you approached in regards to your certain predicament.
Warning: nonconsensual recording
Aizawa suspected something wasn’t quite right by the moment he saw you entering the class a minute before the bell rang, all haggard and teary-eyed, though you tried your best to obscure your disposition. He always knew you to often be in a state of discomfort whenever you were compelled to socialize, especially with your classmates, but now - you looked as if you reached your limit of holding the weight of the world on your shoulders, crashing down all at once as depicted on your crestfallen expression.
And when you showed up in front of the faculty room, timidly soliciting his presence, his suspicions were only further verified. Even with a pending question regarding subject matters in your mind, you weren’t one to approach a teacher to inquire about it, and if you did it was because the teacher was the one who would ask your attendance; never the other way around.
Present Mic was the first one to acknowledge you. He stood up from his office chair, waving at you comically. “Yo, (l/n)! Having trouble with English again?”
You never had a problem with his subject; he only insisted that you’d come to him in regards to that. “N-no, not really. May I speak to Aizawa-sensei?”
“Talk with me instead!” He enthusiastically spoke and headed over to you. “Come on, what’s the matter?”
“It isn’t your place to ask that when I’m here.” Aizawa interceded, clearly unimpressed by Mic’s antics. He failed to see the latter’s displeased countenance. “(L/n), what is it?”
You avoided eye contact with him, averting your view to the ground - that was alright. You were always like this, and he didn’t mind. Nothing out of place except for the fact that it looked as if you were about to cry any moment now.
“Can we- can we, um, talk somewhere more private?” You asked quietly.
His brows raised in wonder at your request. Nevertheless, he didn’t decline you, only nodding lackadaisically before heading towards the teacher’s lounge, where you followed him suit. He flicked the door tag to ‘occupied’ and entered the room after you, when he told you sit on the three-person sofa situated not quite on the farthest left of the space. Then, he settled himself on the chair across you.
“Well?” He asked, expectantly.
But you had once again your head above a thick cloud of anxiety. You knew that after the event with Momo in the girls’ locker room - where you had injured her against your will because she had been violating your personal space - your homeroom teacher kept a cautious eye on you in case you’d re-enact that incident. And it wasn’t just that incident that made him look at you like you were a criminal on the loose, either. Your classmates found and did a lot of ways to place you in Aizawa’s naughty list just so you wouldn’t snitch on their abusive (they’d call it affectionate) behavior on you.
That didn’t erase the fact that you were nevertheless his student; he cared for you no less than he cared for his other pupils, yet you were just too ignorant in figuring that out. All that mattered to you was that you’d voice out your current concern to him, but with your insecurities holding you down it seemed it would be more difficult than you had primarily foreseen it to be.
“I-I,” you stammered out, fiddling with something inside your pocket, “u-um, you see, t-there’s this, I mean, I can’t-”
He grew increasingly frustrated with your constant stuttering, and although he did understand your shy nature which largely affected your conversational habits, he only had so much patience to deal with it.
“I don’t have all day.” He stated, glowering at your form in mild irritation. “If you’re going to keep doing that, talk to the wall.”
You abruptly halted in speaking after that, only looking down on your lap, staring wide-eyed, grief-stricken at the revelation that perhaps he really did not want to heed any of your words because you were just that bad of a student that he had decided you were not worth much the effort to concern himself with. And maybe he was right - that your words didn’t matter because you didn’t matter; that there were more affairs he better be tending to than yours; that you were only making a big deal out of this when it truthfully wasn’t.
Oh god, you felt like vomiting. Self-deprecation was getting the better of you.
He stood up and sauntered to the exit, not bothering to spare you a glance. “Come back to me when you actually know what you want to say.”
It was a matter of seconds when you ran to him, pulling him back rather harshly by the grip you had on his sleeve. He turned around due to the force to see your head still hung low, avoiding his gaze as always - only, your shoulders were quivering sporadically, and occasional sniffs were heard from your person.
“P-please, sensei...” you voiced out, shaken and horrifyingly delicate. “I-I’m so scared. Please.”
While he looked at you with contracted irises, countenance now alert from your unexpected disposition, you pulled your trembling hand out of your skirt pocket, nervously disclosing to him from your palm a small, black device with a tiny yet prominent lens.
“M-my room,” you heaved, “I-I saw this i-in my room, m-my closet, while- while I was dressing up, and I don’t know how long it had been in there but it probably already caught me bare and-”
You broke down in a flurry misery and shame, allowing yourself to fall to the ground but you didn’t - Aizawa seized you in his arms, his gentle, fatherly arms that could only do so much to console you from the horror of your reality. And he held your head as you cried on his chest, one little thing he could do after ignoring your situation and letting you think that your significance was less than the rest of his other students. At that moment, you were just so little, so fragile, so naïve he’d keep you in his pocket if he could. Why would someone do something as debauched as illegally recording your innocent self?
“I’m sor-sorry,” you sobbed, “I’m really telling the truth, p-please-”
“Shh, it’s okay. I don’t doubt you.” He reassured. Why were you apologizing? Were you that insecure of being a nuisance? No, no, you never were. Not to him. He reached for your hand to take the cursed device. “Since when did you find out?”
“J-just this morning.” You responded.
“Alright. Do you want to rest? This must have taken a huge toll on you.”
But you still had classes ongoing. Then again, you didn’t feel like looking at the faces of the prime suspects who possibly did you dirty, even when you knew that you’d have to eventually interact with them to get notes of your missed lessons. You were so tired from summoning the lot of your courage to confront your teacher regarding your problem, so you probably wouldn’t have the energy to listen to class discussion. Aizawa finalized your decision by pulling you up and guiding you towards the office of Recovery Girl who, after being briefed of your predicament by your homeroom teacher, welcomed you with a warm smile, telling you to make yourself comfortable in one of the beds in the infirmary.
He then made his way to 1A classroom, a newfound swelling of rage and disappointment in his chest, both forwarded to his class and to himself because only now did he realize that perhaps you were often so restless and apprehensive in the presence of your classmates because they did things that made you bury yourself in the deepest parts of your shell as a last attempt to revel in a sense of safety. Your timidity was not entirely derived from your own nature; it was also due to the maltreatment you were receiving from your classmates. Halting his steps by the classroom door, he looked through the glass window, seeing the class focusing on Midnight’s lecture.
Well, not quite. He could tell that your classmates were visibly affected by the lack of your presence, glancing at your desk from time to time as quiz papers were being passed behind - so they were in the middle of a test, he guessed. But that wasn’t his concern.
In impudent manner, he walked in amid Midnight’s talking, disregarding her face’s sudden morphing into vexation as the students gave him a look of confusion.
“Eraser, what are you-” she was rudely interrupted as Aizawa took the test reference papers from her hands. Something about Modern Hero Art History, he read. He faced his class with disdain, stating,
“Until someone confesses their crime of hiding a spy camera on (l/n)’s dorm room, all of you are receiving failing marks on this test.”
Quite suddenly, the class burst into violent upheaval, gasping, perking, some allowing the dreadful news of your situation to sink in, others letting out noises of complaint before actually taking consideration to the main point of Aizawa’s statement. Midnight stared at him in disbelief, but did nothing to stop his measures.
Momo abruptly stood. “I-is (y/n) okay? We should go check on her!”
“No, you shouldn’t.” Aizawa said. “All of you are suspects. You’ve no right to see her.”
“She probably just made that up get back on us for whatever fucking reason!” Yelled Bakugou.
“Yeah?” The male pro-hero disingenuously mused. He then picked up the spy camera and held it for everyone to see, before setting it down the teacher’s podium. “This was found on her closet. Would she risk recording herself naked just to prove that point?”
Noise died down thereafter, setting their sights solemnly at the device, the class collectively having the same thought in regards to the spy camera.
(Why hadn’t they thought of that? It could have been easier to check on you that way, since you almost always confined yourself in the privacy of your own room.)
“So? No one wants to speak up?” Aizawa asked, though expected the silence.
“Aizawa, have them approach you after classes. It’s embarrassing this way.” Midnight intervened.
“Well that’s the point. Get them exposed to the entire class, so everyone could realize how much of a perverted bastard one of these to-be heroes are. Good values, my ass.” He replied, not bothering to filter rather colorful vocabulary. “Where’s your dignity?”
He let a minute or two pass for the perpetrator to reveal themselves, but soon it became apparent that whomever they were refused to admit to their crime, willing to sacrifice the grades of the class for the sake of anonymity. That would be deemed useless, anyway, because Aizawa was already set on figuring out whom they were, no matter the extent he’d go to in order for that to happen. He’d expel them at once.
But he didn’t have the power to expel someone outside of his class.
“I guess that’s it for your test.” He sighed, disgruntled, picking up the small camera and sauntering his way out of the classroom after giving Midnight a look that he was dead serious with marking all of them a failing score. She stared at him in uncertainty, nonetheless abided by his decisions, albeit hesitantly.
Upon ascertaining his absence, Midnight turned to Class 1A, amusement and humor dancing on her seductive countenance.
“Naïve, hormonal teenagers,” she mused, “the closet, really? Couldn’t you have chosen somewhere less conspicuous?”
None of them bothered to tell her that they were truthfully unaware of the incident.
===
Hagakure Toru, stealth hero, entered your room silently in the nude, the only proof of her movements being a tinier, different spy camera she’d brought along with her. No, not the closet, you might find it again. It looked so painfully obvious on the desk, too, and neither in the bathroom due to its pale white interior.
But on the pencil holder situated atop your nightstand would do. You barely moved it, anyway, only having its purpose served as a decoration; something to fill the vacancy of the bedside table. After a few adjustments in camouflaging the device with the environment and making sure the lens displayed the area of your space, Hagakure checked its concealment one more time, before mechanically heading outside and back to her own dorm.
Her body collided almost violently with her room’s door, snapping her out of her trance.
“H-huh!? Weird... how’d I end up in my room?” She asked, receiving no answer from particularly anyone.
But Shinso Hitoshi could provide her one, if only he weren’t outside, staring at your terrace from five stories down your room, a gratifying smirk donned on his features. Now, the only thing he had to do was dismantle and relocate the gadgets wirelessly connected with the camera Aizawa had confiscated.

Hi! I don’t know if you read the BNHA manga but there are some panels with Momo and Kaminari that hint towards them being really good friends, and I was wondering if you could write something goofy and fun between the both of them? <3
Heyo anon! X3 So, I've yet to read the manga (I do own them- its just a matter of making myself read them, lols!) But the idea of Kaminari and Yaoyorozu being good friends is such a sweet idea to me! I gotcha covered, friend!
“Mooooooooomoooooooo!” Kaminari drawled out her name dramatically, head resting against the wooden desk in her dorm. “I don’t think I’m getting it.”
Beside him, Yaoyorozu smiled softly, looking up from her notes as Kaminari moped. What started out as tutoring sessions slowly turned into a friendship no one was expecting. It wasn’t long before Kaminari showed up to her dorms not to just go over that day's lesson, but to challenge her to a phone game or share a new Manga he’d thought she’d like.
“It’s okay, Denki. We just need to change your perspective.” She put down her own notes and scooted beside him, reading over the worksheet. “Let's see...what’s giving you trouble?”
“Everything! Well, okay- not everything...but most of everything!” He sat up and rested his head dramatically against her shoulder, pointing at one of the problems. “See, Mr. Mic told us to translate the sentences from Japanese to English, but I keep getting the, er...what are they called?
“Past-tense?”
“Yeah! I keep mixing up past tense with present tense!” Kaminari nodded enthusiastically, his hair brushing the back of Yaoyorozu’s neck. The girl resisted the urge to shiver, not wanting to distract from the teaching moment. “Y-Yes! I understand now. Let's see…”
As Yaoyorozu began to explain the differences, Kaminari couldn’t help but notice her occasional twitch or hitch of breath. “Hey, are you alright? I’m not making you uncomfortable, am I?” He asked, ready to move if needed be.
“Oh? Oh no, not at all!” She smiled, though Kamimari could see it was tense. This was new. “It’s just your hair, it’s-Eh!” Yaoyorozu jerked with a yelp suddenly, starting them both. “Oh crap! Did I zap you? I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to hurt you-”
“No, no! You didn’t hurt me!” The girl quickly reassured him, cheeks flushing a warm pink. “It just...well, it tickled.”
There was a beat of silence, the pair sitting in charged silence. Next, they sat in laughter.
“Ah! AHehhahhahahahahhahahaa! D-Dehhehehehehehehenki!” Yaoyorozu burst into giggles, squirming in her seat as kaminari’s fingers found her waist, tickling. “No way! I didn’t know you were ticklish, Momo! That’s actually really cute! Tickle tickle tickle!”
Yaoyorozu could only laugh, her bell-like voice filling the room as he tickled her playfully. He could do this all day. “Kahahahhahhahahhaminari! Thehehehheheeh asshhaahhhahahahahignmemehhehehnt?!”
“Oh, that’s not due until Monday! We’ve got all weekend! We can take a break, right?” He teased, laughing at her warm squeals.
Now, Yaoyorozu wasn’t a weak woman. When push came to shove, she had some decent strength to her. Turning in her chair, she put that strength to use as she grabbed Kaminari around the waist and pulled him into her lap, fingers digging into his torso and armpits with gentle prods. “Hehe! Tahahake that!”
Kaminari arched with a squeal, booming laughter escaping his lips and mixing with Yaoyorozu’s sweet giggles. “EEEEA! Ahhahahhahhahahhahahha! M-Mohoohohooohohmoo! Wahhahahhahhahhahait! Ahehahhahahhhahahaa!”
“Uh-uh! This is what you get for tickling me first!” She teased, only to yelp when his hand found her thigh, sending tickly shocks through her legs. “AIE! Dehehehehehhehehehehnki! Quhhiihihiihihihihhit ihiiihihihihihihit!”
“Yohohohohou quihihiihiihhit iihihihihit!” He cried back, face flushed an adorable shade or red when she dug into his hips, making him squeal.
The pair kept up their playful tickle war until they were both breathless and red faced, tears of mirth dotting their eyes and leaving them giggly. At some point, Denki ended up curled on the floor, one arm tossed over his eyes, the other around his waist.
Yaoyorozu was in a similar position as Kaminari from earlier, head resting on the desk, gasping for air. Her lips were curved into a warm grin as she giggled breathlessly. “Hehe..hehe..heh...d-did I win?” She asked, making Kaminari smile. “Sure….hehehe...victory is yohours..”
The girl raised a tired fist in victory, making them both burst into fresh cackles. Kaminari pulled himself off the ground and crawled back into his chair, grinning like a little kid on christmas. “That was fun!”
Yaoyorozu laughed and sat up, redoing her ponytail as Kaminari pulled the paper closer. “That was...thank you, Denki. I didn’t realize how much I needed that.”
The blonde blinked before smiling brightly, scooting over and bumping his friend with a grin. “No problem! Now, to the assignment!”
I hope this is good! X3

I feel like kirishima and midoriya give the best hugs of the 1-A boys, and momo for the girls.
ok ok but are we forgetting about the good octo-boi Shoji??? he has MANY ARMS for ALL ENCIRCLING HUGS!!
Kirishima and Shoji having a hug contest and the rest of the kids being judges
Bakugou is the only one left and he’s ready to blast someone in the face if they try and hug him
Shoji:... Kirishima, you win
Kirishima, with determination in his eyes stepping towards Bakugou with his hands up: I won’t lose... C’MERE AND LET ME GIVE YOU A MANLY HUG, BRO
good times...
Deku would also give good hugs, yes, but his are gentle and... lol is a “hover hug” a thing??? i can see him doing this ngl
and actually, i think Ashido would give the most enthusiastic hugs of the girls. similar energy to Kirishima

‘y/n, what are you doing?’ Jaehyun asks as I take my seat opposite him in the dining room, father sat between us at the head of the table. ‘What do you mean?’ I ask in confusion as I start up my laptop, ready to finish my English homework. ‘Why are you in your pyjamas?’ he asks, and I raise an eyebrow. ‘I’m going to bed soon. You know I hate being tired on a Monday morning,’ I say, and Jaehyun shakes his head despairingly at me. ‘y/n, we’ve gotta be there to pick the exchange students up in, like, half an hour,’ he says, and I sigh, having completely forgotten about that. ‘Shit,’ I curse, and father looks up from his laptop with a raised eyebrow. ‘Sorry, daddy,’ I say, and he gives me a small smile before going back to his work. ‘Can’t you just pick mine up as well, Jae? I really can’t be bothered to go,’ I say, and Jaehyun shakes his head. ‘No way, y/n. That’s not a great impression, is it?’ he says, and I pout. ‘Please, Jae, I don’t wanna get changed,’ I whine, and he shakes his head. ‘Dad, tell her,’ he says, and I scowl, knowing exactly what’s going to happen.
‘What are you two bickering about now?’ father asks. ‘y/n’s asking me to pick her exchange student up because she doesn’t want to get changed, but I said no because it’s not a great impression,’ Jaehyun says, and father looks at me. ‘Sweetheart, your brother’s right, I bet your exchange student would be hurt that you haven’t gone to pick him or her up. Go get changed, darling, and then you can leave in fifteen minutes so you’re there with plenty of time,’ father says, and I whine, getting up from my seat and stomping out of the dining room and all the way up to my room. I change out of my comfy pyjamas into a pair of blue high waisted ripped jeans and a pink cable knitted jumper, putting a black longline coat over the top and a pair of black sock boots on my feet. I put all my jewellery back on, matching Chanel set and all, and put my phone and lip-gloss into my pink Chanel clutch. When I head back downstairs, Jaehyun’s waiting beside the front door for me.
‘Come on, we’re gonna be late,’ he says, throwing me my car keys and I catch them deftly. We both shout goodbyes to father as we leave, hearing a faint goodbye back. I check the keys Jaehyun threw me, seeing that they’re the Audi ones, and I grin, surprised that he remembered which car’s my favourite. ‘Do you wanna drive next to each other, or just meet there?’ he asks as he climbs into his car, head hanging out of the door. ‘You go ahead, boy racer,’ I reply, Jaehyun winking at me as he shuts his door, racing out of the driveway mere seconds later. I climb into my Audi but before I can pull off, our valet, Changwoo, appears and I roll down the window. ‘Miss, will you or either your father or brother be using any of the other cars tonight or should I put them back into the garage?’ he asks. They’ve all been washed today, hence why they’re still out on the circle drive, shining in the setting sun. ‘I won’t, and neither will Jae. You’ll have to ask father though, he might have urgent business. You know what he’s like,’ I say, Changwoo letting out a light laugh. ‘Okay, miss. Good luck with your exchange student,’ he says, and I grin, the entire household excited about having two new temporary members of the family. ‘Thank you,’ I reply before rolling the window back up. I pull off and drive the short journey to school, getting there within ten minutes. When I pull onto the school car park and into my designated spot, the others are all already there and waiting for me, the sun having nearly set, a gentle glow cast over them all. ‘About time,’ Haechan says as I climb out of the car and I flip him off as we all begin to head to the front drive of the school where we know their school coaches will be arriving.
‘Ah, you’re all here,’ Miss Jung says when we join the other students all stood around waiting for their exchange students. This programme was only offered to our year group, so all sixty of our year group are here, no parents to be seen. That’s one thing about the lives we live; our parents are only with us if they need to be. ‘Right, students, listen up! Your exchange students have had a long drive here so they’re most likely going to be tired and hungry. Make sure you feed them and get them to bed asap and save the house tours for tomorrow. Only tell them the most urgent things they need to know, and you can fill them in completely tomorrow after school,’ Miss Jung says just as a coach pulls up. ‘That’s strange. There’s supposed to be two coaches,’ I hear her say under her breath to another of the teachers, all of them heading to the coaches to greet the students. We’re all eager to catch glimpses of the students, and we’re pleasantly surprised when the first one gets off the coach.
He’s tall, handsome and broad, dimpled with dyed grey hair. He’s dressed fashionably in comfy, casual wear, a neck pillow around his thick neck, and offers a small smile when he sees us all staring. ‘They don’t look poor,’ Taeyong says to me as we watch them come off the coach. The boys are pretty much all good-looking, and the girls are all really pretty, all of them dressed fairly fashionably. Obviously not in designer labels like we are, but I spot a couple brands here and there. Admittedly, they wear Trapstar and Billionaire Boys Club (ironic) to our Moncler and Balenciaga, and Calvin Klein and Diesel to our Balmain and Valentino. Once they’ve all emptied off the coach and gotten their luggage, there’s only about 30 of them, and our teachers speak to their teachers, the rest of us speaking with hushed voices. I inspect them all, a couple other of the boys catching my eyes. There’s a cute one with dark hair and a bunny smile, but he’s about twice my height, another handsome boy with dark hair and a heart shaped smile, slim and toned by the looks of it. A shorter boy stands with the first one I saw, wavy grey hair and a smaller frame with the cutest gummy smile.
The teachers start to read out some of the pairs, all of us listening eagerly. Jaehyun gets paired with the cute one with the bunny smile and they leave almost straight away. Taeyong gets paired with a pretty brunette, slim and long-haired with porcelain skin. I can feel the jealousy bubbling up, but it quickly subsides when he captures my lips in a quick kiss before leaving with her, blowing another kiss over his shoulder at me. Jihyo gets paired with the tall dimply guy, Dahyun gets paired with the short curly haired guy and Momo gets paired with the heart-shaped smile dark-haired guy. Johnny, Doyoung, Mina and Chaeyoung get paired with the other four of Taeyong’s partner’s friends, and those pairs have met and left whilst the rest of us are still stood around waiting. ‘Students, the other coach will be here shortly, it just got delayed,’ Miss Jung announces, the rest of us groaning. ‘They won’t be long, stop complaining,’ she mutters, coaxing laughs from our friendship group.
‘That boy Jae got paired with is cute, don’t you think?’ Nayeon says, and I roll my eyes. ‘Johnny left literally a minute ago. Down, girl,’ I say amusedly, the girl giggling at my reply. ‘Says you. We all know what you and Taeyong get up to,’ she replies, and I hit her gently on the arm. ‘Shut it, dumbass, no one knows about that except for you,’ I say, and she laughs maniacally. ‘Remember that when you’re mean to me again,’ she says warningly, and I roll my eyes at her. ‘Did you see who Tae got put with? If he doesn’t tap that, he’s stupid,’ I hear Haechan saying, and I turn with an indignant look on my face. ‘First of all, Dahyun is your girlfriend. Second of all, excuse me, I’m right here,’ I say, and he puts an arm around me with a smirk on his face. ‘Don’t be offended, babe, you’re better. He’d be even stupider if he didn’t tap you,’ he says, and I look at him incredulously. ‘Again, Dahyun is your girlfriend,’ I say, and he grins. ‘That’s neither here nor there,’ he replies as the other coach arrives.
I feel excitement bubbling up inside me as the coach pulls to a stop, knowing my partner is about to walk out of the coach door. I watch eagerly as another group of thirty leave the coach, dressed similarly, and there are a couple that catch my eye. Possibly one of the most handsome boys I’ve ever seen, dark hair swept back from his face, plump pink lips and a loud laugh that sounds distinctly like window wipers. Another boy, tall and built, manly and broad, dark wavy hair and a boxy smile. The teachers start to call out the pairs and when I hear my name, I practically sprint over to them. ‘y/n, this is your partner, Park Jimin,’ Miss Jung says, moving aside to reveal my partner to me. My breath catches in my throat at the sight of him; swept back purple hair with streaks of blue in it, plump shiny lips, dark piercing eyes, and smooth clear skin. Mile long legs, a small waist and bigger shoulders, his body slim and toned through his black slim-fit Puma sweatpants and black Fila hoodie, silver rings adorning his fingers and silver earrings hanging from his ears.
‘Hi, I’m y/n,’ I say, offering a hand to him, and he takes it after a moment, shaking it firmly. His hand is warm and soft, and the rings are cool and firm, a pleasurable contrast. Our hands fall away at the same time and Miss Jung smiles at us. ‘I’m sure you two will get on well; y/n will be a great host, Jimin,’ Miss Jung says, the boy simply nodding. ‘Well, off you go. Remember, be here on time tomorrow morning!’ she says, and we both nod. ‘Do you want a hand with your bags?’ I offer as Miss Jung and his teacher move away from us. ‘I’ve got them, thanks,’ he says, his voice… nice. Low but not low at the same time. Gravelly but light. Melodious. ‘Well, I’m parked in the car park, it’s just this way,’ I say, and we begin to walk towards the car park, Jimin wheeling his cases along behind him. ‘How was the drive?’ I ask, and he shrugs. ‘It was okay. As good as a six-hour long journey away from your home and parents can be,’ he says, and my heart goes out to him. I also feel a bit guilty, but I know it’s not my fault. ‘Well, it kinda sucks, but hopefully you’ll enjoy yourself here,’ I say, and he nods. ‘Hopefully,’ he says, and we fall into a slightly awkward silence.
When we reach the car, I unlock it and open the boot, helping him lift his bags in. I shut the boot as he climbs in the passenger side, and I get in the driver’s side. Being in such close proximity with him in an enclosed space, I can smell his scent on the air. He smells distinctly of a nice cologne and, curiously, almost of baked goods. I must be mistaking something else for that, because why would he smell of baked goods? ‘Audi, can you text Jaehyun and ask if he’s getting takeaway or getting Eunha to cook something?’ I say, the dashboard lighting up. ‘Of course, y/n,’ the car replies as I start the car and reverse out of my parking space. ‘You can talk to your car?’ Jimin says, and I nod as I pull out of the car park. ‘It stops me from having to pull over whenever I want to send a text,’ I reply, and he chuckles, just as the car beeps to signal a reply from my brother. ‘Jaehyun replied ‘Eunha made us dinner, don’t get takeout, and get back soon, the food’s getting cold.’ Would you like to reply, y/n?’ ‘No, thank you, Audi,’ I reply before clicking the play button on the steering wheel, my music quietly floating out of the speakers. ‘How the other half live, huh?’ Jimin says drily.
‘What’s that supposed to mean?’ I ask neutrally, trying not to take it offensively but not sure how else I should take it. ‘It means, you have a car that you can talk to, a chef at your house, I presume, and you’re decked out in expensive designers. I’m guessing your daddy’s a rich businessman and your mummy’s a pretty housewife, and you’ve got loads of staff and loads of clothes and a rich boyfriend and everything a girl could ever ask for. Like a princess,’ he says, almost venomously, and I shrug. ‘I guess you’re right. Except for one thing,’ I say, and he chuckles. ‘What’s that then?’ he asks. ‘My mum’s not a housewife. She’s dead,’ I say, and he falls silent. ‘Sorry. That was mean of me. I shouldn’t have said all that. It’s not your fault you were born rich and I… wasn’t,’ he says after a few moments of awkward silence, almost ashamedly, and I shrug again. ‘It’s okay. Just… I wouldn’t adopt that kind of attitude at school tomorrow, not in front of the Winchester students anyway. It’d probably do you more harm than good,’ I say. ‘Thanks for the advice, princess, but I can look out for myself,’ he says, the lack of emotion in the words having me taken aback. ‘Don’t call me that,’ I say. ‘What?’ ‘Princess,’ I reply, and he doesn’t say anything. Neither of us do, the rest of the drive home, and I curse Miss Jung for putting me with this guy. How am I supposed to get along with him when he clearly already hates me, my friends, my family, and everything we stand for? This exchange programme is going to be… fun.
When we pull up to the house, I can sense he’s biting his tongue and continues to do so when Changwoo comes rushing up and carries his bags up to the house and is still continuing to do so when Changwoo takes my keys with a bow and a ‘Goodnight, miss’. ‘Welcome to your temporary home,’ I say as a couple of the staff appear. ‘Welcome back, miss. Welcome, sir,’ they chorus as they take Jimin’s bags. ‘They’ll put them in your room,’ I say as I lead him through the foyer, the boy still watching the staff go up the grand staircase, and into the kitchen. The kitchen is one of my favourite rooms in the house, all sleek marble surfaces and cool devices that make my life easier when I’m cooking. Jaehyun and his exchange partner, the bunny smile boy, are sat at the breakfast bar, eating the banquet Eunha’s laid out for us, made up of many different dishes, kimchi, japchae, samgyeopsal and bulgogi to name a few. Both boys look up when we walk in, bunny boy’s bunny smile appearing when he sees Jimin. ‘Hyung!’ he exclaims, mouth full of food, and I try my hardest not to grimace at the sight. ‘What did I do to get put in the same house as you?’ Jimin mutters as bunny boy jumps up from his seat, pulling the other boy into a hug. ‘Jaehyun, this is Jimin. Jimin, this is my twin brother, Jaehyun,’ I say, the two shaking hands. ‘Jungkook, this is y/n, my sister. y/n, this is Jungkook, or JK,’ Jaehyun says, bunny boy – Jungkook – holding out a food covered hand to me. I shake it lightly with the best smile I can muster up as Jimin takes a seat on the breakfast bar, Jungkook re-joining them.
I walk around to the other side of the island, washing my hands before I open the fridge and get out the bottle of fresh organic fruit juice that’s delivered for me every day. ‘Aren’t you eating, y/n?’ Jaehyun asks, and I shake my head, taking a sip of the juice, all three boys watching me. ‘I’m not hungry. I might just have an apple or something,’ I say, and Jaehyun shakes his head. ‘You should eat more, y/n. It’s not good for you,’ Jaehyun says, and I shake my head. ‘I eat plenty. Taeyong took me for food at 4, remember?’ I say, and my brother raises an eyebrow. ‘And what did you have?’ he asks. ‘A salad,’ I say, the boy shaking his head again. ‘Did Taeyong order that for you?’ he asks. ‘No, I ordered it myself,’ I lie, Jaehyun raising an eyebrow. ‘He’s just looking out for me,’ I say sulkily, and Jaehyun shrugs. ‘Whatever. Don’t come crying to me when you’re malnourished because all you eat is rabbit food,’ he says, and I stick my middle finger up at him, Jimin and Jungkook having watched the entire exchange with interest.
For the next ten minutes, the boys make conversation, getting to know one another as I nibble on an apple and sit on my phone, Nayeon texting me about how good looking her exchange student, Mark, is. Once they’re finished eating, I pick up all the plates and pile them into the dishwasher. ‘Do you guys wanna look around or do you wanna just save that for tomorrow and go to bed?’ I ask, Jungkook and Jimin exchanging a glance. ‘Um, I think we’ll just go to bed,’ Jimin says, the other boy nodding in agreement. Jaehyun and I walk them up to their rooms, me trailing behind the three of them. At this rate, it seems Jaehyun will end up with two exchange partners. Jaehyun stops at Jungkook’s room with him and I stop with Jimin at his room, the one opposite Jungkook’s. ‘So this is your room,’ I say, Jimin stepping in. He looks around, and I can see him trying to hide how impressed he is, just sitting at the edge of the bed as he takes everything in. ‘We start school at 9, so what time do you want waking up?’ I ask. ‘What time do you get up?’ he asks me. ‘Um, like, 6 usually,’ I say, and his eyes widen. ‘What for?’ he asks. ‘Well, I gotta shower, do hair and makeup, get changed. It takes a while,’ I say sheepishly, and he rolls his eyes. ‘I’m happy to wake up at 7.30,’ he says, and I nod, turning to the control pad set into the wall. I set an alarm for 7.30 and he watches with a mixture of interest and amazement.
‘Well, I guess I’ll see you in the morning, then. If you need anything, my room’s just next to yours, and I’ll obviously be awake from 6 onwards, so just come knock,’ I say, and he nods. ‘Thanks,’ he says before coughing awkwardly. ‘Do you need anything else?’ I ask, and he shakes his head. ‘Well, okay. Goodnight, then,’ I say, and he gives me a false close-lipped smile. I shut the door, sighing once it’s closed, and turn to see Jaehyun just retreating into his room, opposite mine and next to Jungkook’s. I head into my room, shutting the door behind me and flop down onto the bed. I was so excited about this exchange thing, and now I’m completely deflated. My exchange student hates me, and already prefers my brother. This is gonna be a hell of a long month.
Tumblr media
‘Your love, your love, your love, I miss that,’ I sing gently as I dab colour correcting concealer beneath my eyes and on the few blemishes on my face before squirting my foundation in blobs on my cheeks, nose and forehead. My hair’s wrapped up in a towel and I have a towel wrapped around my body too, having gotten out of the shower just a little while ago. I’m still singing when I hear a quiet knock on the door. It must be Jaehyun; he usually wakes up around this time and comes bothering me for something or another. ‘Come in!’ I call out, watching in the mirror of my vanity table as the door swings open slightly, Jimin popping his purple head through. Damn. I forgot about him. ‘Sorry to, uh, disturb you, y/n,’ he says, a light blush painting his cheeks, mirrored on my own. ‘It’s fine. What’s up?’ I ask, trying to look as normal as possible with patches of green and yellow concealer on my face. ‘What do I have to wear to school? Do you guys have, like, a uniform or do you wear your own clothes?’ he asks. ‘We wear uniform, there’s one for you in the wardrobe. If there’s an issue with the sizing, Jaehyun has spares he’s never worn. You can get them from his room, next door to mine. You seem around the same size as him. Once you’re done getting ready and stuff, you can go down to the kitchen. Eunha will have breakfast ready,’ I say, and he nods. ‘Okay. Thanks,’ he says, leaving embarrassedly, and I nearly scream from mortification.
I try to put his face when he saw my face out of my mind as I finish off my makeup, dry my hair and moisturise my body. I briefly run a straightener over my locks until they’re straighter than a homophobic white man, and put on some black underwear, putting my pink silk dressing gown over the top. I slide my feet into my fluffy slippers and head down to the kitchen, just to have some breakfast before I get changed. When I walk in, Jaehyun, Jungkook and Jimin are all sat in the same seats as yesterday, plates piled high with a traditional English breakfast. ‘Morning,’ I say, picking a small piece of bacon off Jaehyun’s plate, ducking from his hand swatting out at me. ‘Morning,’ the three reply as I head over to the fridge, my eyes lighting up when I see what Eunha’s prepared for me today; a mason jar full of fruit, yoghurt and oats (she does it nearly every day, and I never get tired of it). I take it out, along with a new bottle of my juice, and sit opposite them, getting a spoon out of one of the island drawers. ‘That uniform suits you guys. You’ll fit in well,’ I say truthfully, both Jimin and Jungkook looking handsome in their checked blazers, blue shirts and black trousers. ‘Thanks,’ they reply. ‘There weren’t any issues with the sizing, right?’ I ask. ‘No, it all fits,’ Jungkook replies, Jimin nodding in agreement, and I want to hit my head off the marble island. Why is it so hard to get a conversation going with either of them? It’s not like I’m speaking a different language.
‘What’s the girl’s uniform?’ Jungkook asks, and I nearly jump for joy about him making conversation. ‘Oh, we wear skirts the same pattern as your blazers, knee high black socks, black cardigans – but no one really wears them – and blue blouses. It’s quite cute, actually,’ I say, knowing many people hate their uniforms. I mean, I guess ours is unfashionable and lowkey ugly, but with a little… customisation, us girls rock it. ‘Sounds it,’ Jungkook replies with a grin, and I smile back, Jaehyun looking between us with a raised eyebrow. ‘y/n, you might wanna hurry up. We’ve gotta leave in, like, half an hour,’ he says, and I roll my eyes. ‘I only have to get changed, I won’t be that long,’ I say. ‘Don’t you need to do your hair and makeup?’ he asks, knowing full well I’ve already done both. ‘Headass,’ I mutter, the three boys laughing. Great. Now, instead of two against one, it’s gonna be four against one.
Father walks in then, dressed in his work attire. Today’s suit is a grey check pattern I chose for him, and I must say, he looks very handsome. ‘Morning, kids,’ he says, heading to the fridge without a glance at us. ‘Morning, dad,’ Jaehyun and I chorus. ‘The exchange students are here, remember?’ I say, and father turns from the fridge to see Jimin and Jungkook sat on either side of his son. ‘Oh, welcome, boys. Sorry I didn’t have a chance to meet you last night, I was a little busy. I’m Jihwan,’ he says, holding out a hand to Jungkook. The boy takes it with a smile, introducing himself, before Jimin does the same, shaking my father’s hand with a charming smile. He didn’t smile at me like that. ‘How did you sleep, boys? Are the rooms sufficient?’ father asks. ‘They were great, thank you, sir,’ Jungkook says. ‘Oh, no, just call me Jihwan, son,’ father says before turning back to the fridge. He roots around for his breakfast when I can see it sat right in front of him. ‘There, daddy,’ I point out, and I hear Jimin cough behind me, nearly choking. I turn to see Jaehyun patting his back. ‘Do you want a drink, Jimin?’ I offer, and he shakes his head, still trying to clear his throat. ‘I’m good, thanks,’ he replies as father gets his plate out of the fridge.
‘What’s this?’ he asks, pulling a face at the plate in his hand. ‘It’s a vegetable omelette, daddy. It’s healthy,’ I say, and he looks at it disdainfully. ‘Here,’ I say, taking the plate from him. I put it into the microwave to reheat it, and put a couple slices of toast into the toaster as father takes the seat beside mine. ‘Why do I have to eat healthy?’ he complains, and I roll my eyes, taking another bite from my breakfast. ‘Because you eat unhealthy lunches nearly every day. Balance it out,’ I say. ‘I don’t eat unhealthily at lunch,’ he replies. ‘Meeting clients for lunch every day at posh restaurants probably isn’t as healthy as you think, daddy,’ I point out. ‘Yeah, y/n would know. Her and her man are practically nutritionists, you know. They watch their diets. Or rather, Tae watches y/n’s,’ Jaehyun says, and I give him a look, knowing I’m about to grilled. ‘What’s he talking about, sweetheart?’ father asks as I get his omelette out of the microwave. ‘Nothing, he’s just being silly,’ I reply as I take the toast out of the toast, spreading margarine onto it. I put the omelette on top of the toast and present it to father. ‘Thank you, sweetheart,’ he says, pressing a kiss to my temple.
‘I wouldn’t say him making you eat a salad is nothing,’ Jaehyun says, father raising an eyebrow at me. ‘He didn’t make me, I chose to,’ I reply as I pour father out some juice to go with his breakfast. ‘Sweetheart, if he’s controlling what you eat, I can speak to his parents,’ father begins, but I cut him off. ‘No! No. Daddy, it’s fine. We’re both eating healthy. He has salads too,’ I say pointedly, Jaehyun knowing Taeyong would rather die than eat a salad. ‘What did you have to eat yesterday?’ father asks, and I sigh. ‘I had one of these,’ I say, lifting up my mason jar, ‘for breakfast, I shared a stir fry with Nayeon at lunch when she came over, I had a salad with Taeyong at 4 and then an apple for dinner.’ ‘y/n, that’s one meal for me. You need to be eating more. If I don’t see a change in your diet, I’m putting you on a diet plan,’ father says, and I whine. ‘No, daddy, don’t. I’m fine. That’s more than enough food for me,’ I say, father shaking his head. ‘Don’t argue with me, y/n. Either change your diet yourself or I’ll change it for you,’ father says, and I pout, wanting to bang Jaehyun’s head against a wall. ‘Whatever. I’m going to get changed,’ I say, picking up my juice and trudging from the room. ‘You didn’t finish your breakfast!’ Jaehyun calls after me. ‘I’m not hungry!’ I call back in annoyance.
As soon as I get to my room, I throw off my dressing gown, fuming with Jaehyun for ratting me out like that. I’m eating plenty! And besides, there’s no space for women in our society who eat any more than what I eat now. If it makes father happy, I’ll start having a slice of toast with my breakfast. That won’t kill me. And then I’ll have a bigger dinner with them at home, and not eat at school. Perfect. I shrug my blouse on, buttoning it up, before pulling my socks on, tugging them up to my knees. My pleated skirt comes next, buttoned up along the side, and then I roll it up slightly, so it swishes around mid-thigh, before slipping on my school shoes, shiny black with a tiny, practically unnoticeable, heel on them, making me a couple centimetres taller. I put on all my jewellery; ring, earrings, bracelet and necklace, hairslides, all gold. I grab my black Tom Ford school bag – matching with Taeyong’s black Tom Ford backpack – and put in my phone, purse, charger, juice, on-the-go makeup bag, Chanel perfume, school books and pencil case. I head back downstairs, Jaehyun, Jungkook and Jimin all waiting at the door for me. Seeing Jimin stood up in his uniform, my heart pounds; he really is beautiful. ‘Sorry,’ I say sheepishly, embarrassed at them having to wait for me. ‘Whatever. Do you wanna go together or do you wanna take your own car?’ Jaehyun asks. ‘I’ll take my own car. Jimin, you can go with Jaehyun and Jungkook if you want?’ I offer, knowing he’d probably prefer to go with them than go with me. ‘No, it’s alright. I’ll come with you,’ he says, taking me by surprise and I nod with a smile, Jaehyun handing me my car keys. We head out the front door and spilt off to the two cars parked on the drive, Changwoo having moved them there for us.
Jimin and I climb into the Audi as Jaehyun and Jungkook get into the Mercedes, the two speeding off before I’ve even put my belt on. I put my bag in the back, Jimin doing the same, and I start up the car. ‘What do you wanna listen to?’ I ask Jimin, and he shrugs. ‘I don’t mind,’ he says. ‘No, you tell me. What kinda music do you like?’ I ask, and he thinks for a moment before answering, ‘I like RnB.’ ‘RnB’s my favourite. You’ve got good taste. Audi, play my RnB playlist,’ I say, Tory Lanez’s voice floating out of the car speakers a few moments later. ‘Do you allow eating in your car?’ he asks, and I nod, a bit confused. He reaches back into his bag and pulls out a bundle of tissues. He unwraps the tissues and I realise he’s brought an apple. He hands it to me, and I look over at him in confusion. ‘For me?’ I ask, and he nods. ‘Your brother and dad are right; by the sounds of it, you don’t eat enough. You didn’t even finish your breakfast. So have this,’ he says, and I take it with a smile, touched. ‘Thank you,’ I say.
‘It’s nothing. So, um, this Taeyong guy,’ he says, and I sigh, taking note of the grin that spreads across his face. ‘I know my dad and brother made him sound like an ass, but honestly, he’s a good guy. He’s just looking out for me. I used to struggle with my weight, and he cares about me. He doesn’t want to see me hate myself the way I used to. It might seem like he’s only doing it because he wants me to be skinny or whatever, but he’s doing it because he cares,’ I say, and he continues grinning as I take a bite of the apple. ‘I don’t know, he lowkey sounds like an ass,’ Jimin teases, and I roll my eyes. ‘Trust me, when you meet him, you’ll understand. Taeyong… he has good intentions,’ I say. ‘So what’s so great about this guy that you let him wife you?’ he asks, and I laugh to myself at his choice of words. ‘He, um… we were actually promised to each other. From childhood,’ I say, and Jimin’s mouth falls open. ‘You’re kidding? Don’t tell me that kind of stuff actually happens around here?’ he asks, and I nod. ‘My friendship group – there are twenty of us – all of our parents are friends, I guess. Associates. The ten boys and ten girls are all promised to each other. Me and Taeyong, Jaehyun and Mina, Nayeon and Johnny, Jihyo and Taeil, Tzuyu and Sicheng, Sana and Yuta, Chaeyoung and Mark, Momo and Jungwoo, Jeongyeon and Doyoung, and Dahyun and Haechan. In, like, five years’ time, we’ll most likely all be married to each other,’ I say, and Jimin shakes his head in disbelief. ‘So you don’t actually like this Taeyong guy?’ he asks. ‘No, I do. Of course I do. We fell for each other, despite being promised, I guess,’ I say, and he raises a sceptical eyebrow.
‘Well, this exchange thing will probably ruin some of these relationships, don’t you think?’ he says. ‘What do you mean?’ I ask. ‘I mean, rich kids have a reputation for being wild, you know? You don’t think a person of the opposite, or same, gender – you never know – living in their house will lead to any kind of cheating?’ he asks, and I shake my head. ‘We’ve all stayed… loyal for years, eighteen years to be precise, and you think that someone new living in our houses will change that? We go clubbing and stuff all the time, sometimes just on girls’ nights or boys’ nights, and nothing ever happens, so why would it now?’ I ask, and he shrugs, holding up his hands. ‘I don’t know. It’s just the rumours, you know?’ he says, and I shake my head. ‘You can’t always believe rumours,’ I reply, and he laughs. ‘So there weren’t any rumours about us poor kids, huh?’ he asks, and I nod. ‘Yeah, there were, but I knew better than to believe them,’ I say pointedly, and he whistles. ‘Well, I guess the kitty does have some claws. Forget I said anything, princess,’ he says, and I roll my eyes, wanting to change the topic.
‘Tell me about yourself, Jimin,’ I say. ‘What about me?’ he asks. ‘Anything. I don’t even know the first thing about you, just your name and your school,’ I say, and he laughs. ‘Well, um… my birthday’s the 13th October,’ he says. ‘You’re a Libra,’ I observe, and he rolls his eyes. ‘Don’t tell me you believe in all that star sign stuff? I’m always hearing it from Seulgi, that the reason she’s failing Spanish is because Mercury’s in repogay or something like that, and now I’ve gotta hear it from you too?’ he complains, and I supress a laugh. ‘Retrograde. Mercury’s in retrograde. But that doesn’t matter, who’s Seulgi?’ I ask, and he shakes his head. ‘She’s just a friend. She’s on this exchange too, actually,’ he says, and I nod, wondering who’s partner she is. ‘Who’s she been put with?’ I ask, and he shrugs. ‘I don’t know, we weren’t on the same coach,’ he says, and I nod. That means they can’t be that close, otherwise they’d have been texting last night and he’d know who her partner is. Not that it matters anyway.
‘Well, what else is there to know about Park Jimin?’ I ask, and he grins. ‘I’m a drug dealer,’ he says lightly, and I laugh. ‘I’m being serious, Jimin, I wanna know more about you,’ I say, and he sighs. ‘I live with my younger brother and my parents on top of the bakery they own, so the house always smells like cake and bread and cookies and stuff,’ he says. It makes sense; that’s why I could smell baked goods last night. ‘Oh, my God, that’s so cute. Imagine how amazing that must be, the house always smelling of baking. I love that smell,’ I say happily, and he lets out a gentle laugh. ‘Not when you’re trying to be a tough guy, but your clothes smell like an old lady’s with too many grandkids,’ he says, and I laugh. ‘No, baking is a manly smell. I bet you get so many girls smelling like that,’ I joke, and he chuckles. ‘Yeah, loads,’ he replies with a smile.
‘So what are your parents and brother like?’ I ask, and he shrugs. ‘My parents are really chill. They don’t really put much pressure on me to do anything, just kinda go with the flow, but I know they want me to take over the bakery when I’m older. I wouldn’t mind it, but I guess I have other dreams. And then, my brother’s like a mini me. We’re really similar, so we argue a lot, but he’s like my best friend,’ he says, his words melting my heart. ‘That’s cute. It’s nice to hear that you have a good relationship with your brother; so many people at school practically hate their siblings,’ I say. ‘Not you and your brother, though,’ he says, and I nod. ‘People are always so surprised to find out me and Jaehyun are siblings because of how well we get on. I couldn’t imagine life without him,’ I say, and he nods. ‘Even if he does snitch to your dad about you undereating,’ he says, and I laugh, nodding. ‘He means well. Knowing him, he’ll probably make a dig about it to Taeyong today,’ I say as we pull into the school car park. ‘I would if I were him,’ Jimin says, and I roll my eyes.
‘It’s not Taeyong’s fault. Please, just… don’t prejudge him. He’s a good guy,’ I say, and Jimin shrugs. ‘I don’t know why you care. It’s not like my opinion of him matters,’ he says as I pull into my parking space, Jaehyun’s Mercedes on one side of us and Taeyong’s BMW on the other. ‘I still want people to like him. You always want people to like your boyfriend or girlfriend, right?’ I say, and he shrugs again. ‘I wouldn’t know. I’ve never had one,’ he says, and my mouth drops open. ‘No way,’ I say, and he nods. ‘It’s not that weird, you know? A lot of people don’t have boyfriends or girlfriends, and never have at this age,’ he says, and I nod. ‘I know, I know. It’s just… me and all of my friends have always had a boyfriend or girlfriend. The same one, since childhood. And even though me and Taeyong aren’t actually official, I can’t imagine life without a romantic figure in it,’ I say, and he tilts his head in confusion. ‘You’re not official?’ he asks. ‘No, we’re not. Neither of us have ever actually asked the other out,’ I say. ‘I guess you never have to if you’re already practically engaged,’ he says, and I nod in agreement, finishing off the apple.
‘Let’s go. I’ll introduce you to everyone,’ I say, reaching into the back to grab my bag. He grabs his bag too, and we both get out of the car. I lock it after us and lead him towards the courtyard, making idle conversation about today’s lessons. When we reach the courtyard, everyone’s already there, and our group has doubled due to the exchange students. Taeyong spots us first and heads over. ‘Let me guess; Taeyong?’ Jimin says under his breath. ‘Bingo,’ I reply, and he chuckles as Taeyong meets us in the middle of the courtyard. ‘Hey, babe,’ he says, snaking his arms around my waist and leaning down to press a kiss to my lips. I pull away after a couple seconds, knowing it’s probably awkward for Jimin. ‘Jimin, this is Lee Taeyong. Taeyong, this is Park Jimin,’ I introduce them. Taeyong grins at the purple-haired boy, holding out his hand, and Jimin shakes it firmly. ‘Nice to meet you,’ Taeyong says, and I notice his eyes flitting up and down Jimin, inspecting him thoroughly. ‘You too, bro,’ Jimin says, the casual term that no one around here uses catching both of us off-guard, Jimin noticing instantly. ‘Oh, my bad. Do you guys not speak like that?’ he asks, and I shake my head with a smile. ‘It’s alright. I have a feeling that in a couple days, all the Winchester boys will be calling each other bro,’ I say, both of them laughing. ‘Cool hair,’ Taeyong says to Jimin who grins at him. ‘Thanks. Yours is cool, too. I wanna go grey soon,’ Jimin says, referring to Taeyong’s newly grey locks, the result of a very messy group night out. ‘Thanks. Come on, come meet the others,’ Taeyong says, taking my bag from me, ever the gentleman.
Nayeon comes rushing over before we can even join the group, pressing a kiss to my cheek as Taeyong carries on, going to sit beside Jihyo and Taeil. ‘Hey, babes,’ she says, and I kiss her cheek back. ‘Hey, Nayeon. This is Park Jimin. Jimin, this is Im Nayeon,’ I say, and they shake hands. ‘You’re really good-looking, you know that?’ Nayeon says shamelessly, and I close my eyes wearily. ‘I didn’t actually, but thanks,’ Jimin laughs it off, and Nayeon laughs with him. ‘Here, let me get Johnny,’ Nayeon says, turning and calling for the boy who strolls over straight away. ‘Hey, y/n,’ Johnny says, pulling me into a side hug. For some reason, we all have a habit of hugging and kissing when we greet each other, despite spending hours together every day. ‘Hey, Johnny. This is Park Jimin. Jimin, this is Johnny Seo,’ I say again, and predictably, they shake hands in greeting. ‘Damn, no homo, but you’re one good-looking guy,’ Johnny says, and I look up to the sky despairingly. Every introduction goes similarly; they greet me, I introduce Jimin, they shake hands with him and compliment his appearance (he even gets a compliment on his lips from Sana). And once I’ve done all the introductions, Jimin turns to grin at me. ‘I don’t think I remember any of their names, but we move,’ he says, and I frown. ‘We move?’ I repeat, confused. ‘It’s an expression for like… whatever, life goes on. We move. But, anyway, let me introduce you to the BTS lot,’ he says. ‘BTS?’ I ask, feeling incredibly unintelligent at not understanding something he’s said twice in a row. ‘Burnley Tech School,’ he says before gently wrapping his hand around my wrist and leading me over to the boy I recognise as Jihyo’s partner.
‘Hey, Joon,’ Jimin says, the taller boy turning to face us. ‘Oh, hey, Chim,’ he says, my heart melting at the endearing nickname. ‘Chim, huh?’ I tease, and he rolls his eyes. ‘Don’t, princess,’ he mocks, and I swat at him. It’s almost like we’ve known each other for years, bickering like this. ‘Joon, this is y/n. y/n, this is Kim Namjoon,’ Jimin says, and I reach a hand out. The grey-haired boy takes it and shakes it firmly with a smile, dimples denting his cheeks. ‘Nice to meet you, Kim Namjoon,’ I say, and his smile widens. ‘It’s nice to meet you too, y/n,’ he says. ‘Have you met Jaehyun? They’re twins,’ Jimin says, Namjoon nodding with a look of realisation. ‘Ah, I can kinda see the resemblance,’ he says. ‘Don’t offend me,’ I joke, and he laughs. ‘Namjoon! Come meet Jennie!’ Jihyo calls and he sighs. ‘Duty calls,’ he says, and I grin. ‘Nope, just my chaotic best friend,’ I say, and he laughs. ‘It was nice to meet you, y/n,’ he calls over his shoulder as he goes to join Jihyo and Jennie, another boy stood beside them who must be Jennie’s exchange partner.
‘Kai got put with that girl, then. It’s interesting seeing everyone else’s pairs, don’t you think?’ Jimin says, and I nod in agreement. ‘His name’s Kai?’ I ask, and Jimin nods. ‘Well, that’s his nickname anyway,’ Jimin says. ‘Well, he’s Jennie’s type to a t, so that’ll be interesting,’ I say, and Jimin raises an eyebrow. ‘Yeah, I guess it will. Namjoon liked you,’ he says, and I feel a little buzz of happiness. Nothing makes me feel better than finding out I’m liked. ‘You think?’ I ask, and he nods. ‘I know. You charmed the hell out of him,’ he says, and I laugh. ‘I can’t help. I guess I’m a natural charmer,’ I say affectedly, and he rolls his eyes. ‘Calm down, Mrs Lee,’ he says, and I roll my eyes in response as someone approaches us. ‘Jimin, hey,’ the boxy smile boy says, putting an arm around Jimin. ‘Hey, Tae,’ Jimin says, and I feel my eyes widen. I can’t imagine Taeyong liking that someone else now shares his name. ‘Tae, this is y/n. y/n, this is Kim Taehyung,’ Jimin says, the boy shaking my hand with a flirty grin. ‘Nice to meet you, y/n,’ he says, and I grin back. ‘Nicer for me, I’m sure. Who are you paired with?’ I ask him. ‘Tzuyu. She’s nice,’ he says, and I smile. ‘Yeah, Tzuyu’s lovely. Just, uh, try not to get on her bad side,’ I say, and he raises an eyebrow. ‘Is she a princess like you?’ Jimin teases, and I poke my tongue out at him.
Slowly but surely, I meet Jimin’s other friends. Min Yoongi, the short curly-haired gummy smile one, paired with Dahyun. Jung Hoseok, the heart-shaped smile boy, paired with Momo, who excitedly informs me that, ‘we’re both dancers!’ Kim Seokjin, the ridiculously good-looking boy with the plump lips, Sana’s partner. Mark Tuan, Nayeon’s partner that she was gushing about last night, and he is, indeed, very good-looking (not that the rest of them aren’t. They practically all are). Chaeyoung’s partner goes by Wendy, and she’s so pretty like the other girls; Mina’s partner, Irene, Doyoung’s partner, Yeri, and Johnny’s partner, Joy (Nayeon and Jeongyeon are not happy their boyfriends have been paired with such pretty girls - as am I, if I’m being honest - but what can we do?) Jeongyeon’s been paired with a boy called Do Kyungsoo, and I spot Doyoung sharking him from a few metres away, the sight having me stifling my laughter. Haechan’s been put with a boy called Kim Yugyeom and Sicheng’s been put with a boy called Choi Youngjae, much to Dahyun and Tzuyu’s delight. Taeil’s with a boy called  Chen, Yuta’s with a boy called Lay, Jungwoo’s with a boy called Xiumin, and Mark’s with a boy called Suho. Then there’s Kai, paired with Jennie Kim, and then Jennie’s friends’ partners; Lisa Manoban with Bambam, Kim Jisoo with Byun Baekhyun and Park Chaeyoung (or Rosie as we call her) with Jackson Wang (who is one of the most beautiful specimens I’ve seen in my life). Kim Jisoo’s boyfriend, Park Jinyoung, is paired with a boy called Im Jaebeom, or JB as he tells me to call him (Nayeon goes around and tells everyone they’re siblings because they share the same surname. Namjoon jokes that he must have dozens of siblings at this school in that case). Rosie’s boyfriend, Park Chanyeol, is paired with a boy called Oh Sehun, all of us finding his surname immensely amusing.
Whilst I’m having a conversation with Rosie, Jackson, Chanyeol, Sehun and Jimin, Taeyong appears and slides an arm around my waist. ‘You still haven’t met my partner,’ he says, leading me away from the others. ‘I’m not sure I want to,’ I reply, and he chuckles. ‘Why not?’ ‘Because I saw her yesterday, and she’s gorgeous,’ I say, and he laughs again. ‘Not a patch on you,’ he says, and I raise an eyebrow. ‘Okay, yeah, she is pretty. But I’m more attracted to you than I am to her,’ he says, knowing how I feel about being mean about people’s appearances. ‘But, even if I was attracted to her, don’t act all jealous now. You’re not jealous about all those other girls I sleep with,’ he says, and I sigh. ‘Yeah, because they’re all one-time things. I don’t mind you sleeping with her; it’s just the living in your house and meeting your parents I don’t like. Remember, even if I’m not your girlfriend, I’m the one you’re going to marry. I still feel uncomfortable about this, you know?’ I say, and he nods at me. I can tell he’s trying to hold back a smirk, and I want to kick him for being so cocky. ‘I know. Trust me, I’m not too happy about purple-haired model boy living with you, not to mention the other cute bunny kid being there too. But it is what it is,’ he says, and I feel a bit of satisfaction about him being jealous too.
‘Seulgi,’ Taeyong says as we reach her, the girl turning to face us, her hair swishing around her face glamorously. So this is the astrology girl Jimin mentioned in the car. ‘This is y/n. y/n, this is Kang Seulgi,’ Taeyong says. I decide to be the bigger person and put my friendly smile on, holding a hand out. I’m taken aback when she throws her arms around me, pulling me into a hug, and I try not to stiffen up completely, hugging her back as naturally as one can hug a stranger. Taeyong stifles a laugh at my face over her shoulder, coughing to cover up the smile when she moves away from me. ‘It’s so nice to meet you. Taeyong’s told me all about you,’ she says with a wide smile, and I feel a bit bad for thinking ill of her. ‘Has he?’ I ask, raising an eyebrow at him, and he smirks. ‘Yeah, he’s a bit… whipped over you it seems,’ she says, and both of us give her a confused face. ‘Whipped?’ I ask, and she looks a bit surprised. ‘Oh, it just means, like… damn, what’s that posh word? Um… smitten!’ she exclaims when she remembers. ‘Ohhh,’ we both chorus in understanding, Taeyong frowning. ‘I wouldn’t put it like that,’ he begins, and I roll my eyes. ‘Grow up, Lee, we all know you love me,’ I tease, Seulgi laughing. Maybe she’s not that bad after all.
‘You two are so cute together. His parents love you too, they were talking about you last night,’ she says, and I feel a bit of heat rush to my face out of satisfaction. ‘What were they saying?’ I ask, and she smiles. ‘A lot. They said you’d be a good person for me to be friends with. They said to definitely go shopping with you because you have a nice fashion sense. Oh, and they said you’re a great influence on Taeyong. They said you make sure you never let him be led… what’s the word they used?’ she thinks. ‘Astray,’ Taeyong says, and she nods. ‘That was it,’ she says, and I smile. ‘Well, I love them too. The Lee family is amazing, you’re definitely lucky to be put with them. Is your sister visiting any time soon? It’d be nice for Seulgi to meet her,’ I say, directing the last bit at Taeyong. ‘I don’t know. I’ll have to text her or something,’ he says, and I nod. ‘That’d be nice. And we’ll have to make some plans for shopping together, y/n. Your partner’s Jimin, right?’ she asks, and I nod. ‘All four of us could go together. Or we could even invite some of the others,’ she says eagerly, and I nod again, thinking it’s a bit too soon to be making plans together. They only arrived less than 24 hours ago. ‘Definitely,’ I say, just before getting dragged off by Nayeon to compare my height to Mark Tuan’s (he says he’s 5’9’’, but Nayeon insists he’s taller than that).
Once all the introductions are done, and my head is full of names and faces that I’m struggling to match up, Miss Jung appears out of nowhere. ‘Students! It’s currently 9.25. You’re all late to your lessons,’ she says, all of the Winchester students groaning, knowing that if you’re later than five minutes, you get an hour-long detention. Imagine all 100 odd of us packed into one classroom together after school. It’ll be chaos. ‘But, I’m glad you’re all getting to know each other,’ she says with a smile, and I sigh in relief. ‘Can you all make your way to your lessons promptly? With your exchange partners. Oh, and we have an assembly at 11.30,’ she says, people already beginning to talk again as we walk towards the entrance, ‘do not be late!’
Tumblr media
‘Wait, so let me get this straight. You guys are all gonna marry each other?’ Hoseok demands, all of us nodding. ‘But… do you even all love each other?’ Namjoon asks, and we all give some very half-hearted affirmations. ‘That sounded convincing,’ Yoongi says sarcastically, a laugh rippling around the group. ‘Well, I think it’s romantic,’ Yeri says. ‘Romantic? Outdated, you mean?’ Youngjae says, Yeri shaking her head. ‘You don’t think there’s something totally adorable about them being promised to each other since they were tiny little kids? It’s like destiny or something,’ she says. ‘Destiny is not when your parents decide who you’re gonna marry in like twenty-five years’ time, Yeri,’ Taehyung says exasperatedly.
‘y/n,’ Jimin says quietly, only catching my attention, the debate around the lunch table continuing. ‘Yeah?’ I reply. ‘Aren’t you eating?’ he asks, and I shake my head. ‘I’m not really that hungry,’ I say, and he raises an eyebrow. ‘What? That apple filled you up?’ he asks, and I hold back a laugh as I nod. ‘Honestly, I’m fine. I don’t need to eat,’ I say. ‘Well, you kinda do. Just have something. What kind of snacks do you guys have here?’ Jimin asks. ‘Um, well, on a Monday, they do caviar and oysters,’ I say, and he blinks. ‘Caviar and oysters? Seriously? You guys aren’t that posh. Posh, but not that posh,’ he says. ‘I know, but we’re… rich, and rich people like eating stupid things,’ I say. ‘Yeah, but they do burgers and pizza and normal things for lunch, so why caviar and oysters as snacks?’ he asks. ‘Look around at what people are eating,’ I say, and he does so. All of the Winchester students are eating salads or fish or cheeses, and all the BTS students are eating ‘normal things’, like burgers and pizza. ‘They’ve only put this food on for us guys, right?’ he says, realising, and I nod, seeing no point in lying to him. ‘So do you guys not eat the kind of stuff we do?’ he asks, and I nod. ‘We do. Just not in public. We only eat that kind of stuff at home. Or after a night out,’ I say, and he laughs. ‘I’ve gotta go on one of these legendary nights out you guys keep talking about,’ he says, and I grin. ‘Trust me, they’re the best. You won’t remember most of it, but what you do remember will be a mixture of iconic and chaotic,’ I say, the boy chuckling. ‘I’m feeling like I might have to get super drunk to enjoy this night,’ he jokes, and I let out a laugh, putting a hand on his arm unconsciously as we laugh together. ‘It won’t be that bad. I think,’ I say, Jimin laughing. I’ve noticed that when he laughs, his eyelids practically cover his eyes, his smile breaks across his whole face and he does a full body laugh. It’s quite endearing, actually.
‘Jimin, tell Momo about the time you found that gecko in our hotel room,’ Hoseok says, barely able to get the words out because of how hard he’s laughing, and I make a mental note to ask Jimin afterwards about the time he found the gecko in the hotel room. I would listen to him telling the story now, but I make eye contact with Taeyong across the table and he does a little head movement as if to say, ‘get up’. I rise up from my seat, Taeyong doing the same, and we both walk towards the end of the table. When we meet, he grabs my arm in a subtly firm grip, not painful but not exactly comfortable either. He leads me out of the cafeteria, telling me to ignore the calls of our names from our friends. He carries on walking me down the corridor, looking through the windows into each classroom until he finds an empty one, kicking open the door and pulling me in after him.
‘I know I said earlier that ‘it is what it is’ but you don’t need to rub it in my face,’ he says, and I frown. ‘Rub it in your face? What are you talking about?’ I ask, and he lets out a harsh chuckle. His handsome and striking features are twisted slightly with annoyance, not enough for me to think he’s seriously angry. Just… riled. ‘Park motherfucking Jimin. Talking to him quietly, almost whispering, and laughing with him. Putting your hand on his arm like that,’ he says, and I look at him in confusion. ‘Tae, I was just talking to him. Nothing more,’ I say, and he lets out a humourless laugh before saying, ‘that’s not what it looked like.’ ‘Well, what did it look like?’ I demand, taking a step towards him. ‘It looked like you were flirting with him, y/n,’ he says harshly, taking a step towards me. ‘Well, I wasn’t, Taeyong,’ I reply, starting to get annoyed with him, taking another step closer. ‘It sure looked like it, though, and how am I supposed to take your word for it? Remember, babe, you only flirt with me in front of me,’ he reminds me, moving even closer.
He’s not wrong; part of our… agreement is that we can sleep with other people, but we can never show sign of any other relations with anyone else in front of each other. We both stick to it, never dancing with someone else in a club if the other can see, flirting with someone else if the other is present, telling the other about our sexcapades. I felt uncomfortable not knowing when he’d been with someone else though, so we added into the agreement that we have to let the other know when we have slept with someone. Not who with, when, where, how, why. Nothing other than that we have. Obviously, to Taeyong, I’ve just broken the agreement, and I understand why he’s so annoyed. ‘Okay, I promise you, I wasn’t flirting with him, but I’m sorry if that’s how I made it seem,’ I say, and he laughs darkly. ‘I’m not letting you off that easy, babe,’ he says, moving even closer to me and tilting my chin up so our eyes meet. He presses his lips to mine, my eyes sliding shut at the feeling, and he kisses me roughly, not holding back at all. His hands slide into my hair, pulling me even closer to him, and I melt into his body, my hands resting on either side of his sculpted face. After a couple minutes, he breaks away from me, both of us slightly breathless. He reaches out behind him, turning the lock on the door, and turns back to me with a grin, his expression almost sinister. ‘On your knees, babe,’ he says, unbuckling his belt with a dark smirk, ‘you’re gonna make it up to me.’

bnha x psycho pass AU
This is an AU I wrote on the todomomo discord server eons ago. Anything posted to this blog will be transcripts of old original work and not really edited, save for formatting. I have no guarantees if I will ever finish these AUs either so these will only be kept as an archive.
Original transcript posted to tdmm discord: Mar 2019
OK @xharu‘s tdmm psycho pass au fanart got me like 💡💡💡 all day at work so like ASHFJGLS JUST TAKE THIS IDEA VOMIT
ok so part of me wants to have Inspector!Momo and Enforcer!Todo but also Inspector!Todo makes so much more sense
esp if All Might and Endeavor are high ranking inspectors in the Public Safety Bureau
So like lets go with Inspector!Todo that needs to live up to his dad's reputation and very-good-at-her-job-but-not-always-confident Inspector!Momo as a team leading Division 1
That consists of Todo, Momo, and KamiJirou as enforcers and two others idk I haven’t decided yet
BUT ANYWAY Inspector!Todo takes his job very seriously like Gino in pp s1 bc not only is there living up to Endeavor's reputation, its also making sure he doesn’t fuck up his psycho pass bc he’s not the first one to walk down the MWPSB path
Bc knowing me, ofc im gonna throw in Dabi there and ofc its going to be Dabi who was the first one to become an inspector for the MWPSB like Endeavor and ofc his story is that his pp falls down into latent criminal status and he’s demoted into Enforcer
And duh Endeavor is disappointed af that his eldest became an Enforcer and thus becomes that trash dad he is putting pressure on Todo to do better than his brother
And this is just more backstory not related to tdmm but y’all need context so.....
Dabi's an Enforcer who somehow manages to run away from house arrest in the MWPSB while on a mission and goes into hiding bc duh Sybil's got eyes everywhere
So on the run Latent Criminal Dabi manages to join up with Shigaraki's gang who are also a bunch of LCs hiding underground, and you can guess the rest but also more on that later
Ok back to tdmm:
Todo always tries to keep his crime coefficient at like 65 bc it really doesn’t go any lower considering he is under stress and he knows and that makes it worse so ya really like s1 Gino
Momo's good with her pp like Akane is so honestly it keeps around 20-30
(And for those that didn’t know, crime coefficients: 0-100 = you’re good, 100-300 = latent criminal, 300+ = Sybil doesn’t like you)
And Jirou probably hang around 110-120... Kaminari probs a little higher 150ish and part of me wants to make him like Kagari whos pp has been above 100 his whole life but nah im not gonna do that bc that’s playing the trope card
Anyway........
Other MWPSB members probably like this:
already mentioned All Might and Endeavor as top inspectors
Nedzu as the chief bc he knows and y k n o w from s1 👀👀👀
Division 2 is probs led by Inspector!Deku and Inspector!Bakugou under the mentorship of All Might
(another part of me wants to put Enforcer!Bakugou on tdmm's team but im really fighting myself over this)
Aizawa is Professor Saiga. thats it there’s nothing else.
Ok i lied maybe something else lmao idk mebbe Aizawa was an inspector during All Might’s and Endeavor’s generation but retired bc his pp was getting cloudy AND he clouds other people
but that doesn’t stop Dhinsou from getting mentored by him and eyyy Shinsou becomes the MWPSB's interrogator like Saiga does in s2
idk whos gonna be the analyst yet bc im learning toward Tsuyu for some reason
wait no scratch that. Eccentric analyst should be HATSUME MEI bc ofc shjfkaoa
Kendou, Tetsutetsu, Monoma and Yui and idk who else from 1-B make up Division 3 bc must have Class B in there and KendouMomo friendship okay
OKAY now then......
AfO is criminally asymptomatic (aka is villain af but Sybil doesn’t recognize his CC as what it really is) bc ofc he is
And guess what, Shig is too
So AfO nurtures Shig into a master manipulator n all that bc ofc he does bc "they’re both special"
And ofc AfO learns the secret of Sybil and becomes part of Sybil too bc y’know that’s how it is
But Shig doesn’t know that and he’s on a mission to find out where adoptive criminally asymptomatic mastermind dad went
But really this story will be Shig v Deku's team cuz gotta keep it organic
And tdmm's team will be v Dabi BC Y’KNOW
Makishima's role from the original pp will prob be divided between Shig and Dabi bc ya, sure, Shig is criminally asymptomatic but Dabi was an Inspector and knows the ins and outs of MWPSB so that’s why he joins Shig so they can play the system
So like, pp s1 there’s a bunch of cases that tdmm team goes thru thus:
1) one of em is Overhaul who runs a drug ring selling drugs that artificially lowers one's psycho pass
2) Gentle whos been quarantined his whole life in rehab bc his pp has been 100+ his whole life but breaks out bc he just really wants to be an Inspector of the MWPSB
And now the meat of tdmm is that they've been partners for a long time on Division 1 but even though they’re the same rank Momo relies on Todo too often for decisions on how to handle a case and Todo's always under pressure from Endeavor, he doesn,t ask for help when really EVERYONE CAN SEE IT. HE NEEDS MOMO AS HIS EMOTIONAL CRUTCH
Okay so idk what he actually did to incite the case (probably tried to bomb smth tbh) but the general idea is after tdmm team runs into Dabi and they confront him like Kogami + Akane did with Makishima at the tower. Basically, Todo loses it with seeing Touya becoming Dabi and tries to lethal eliminate him but ofc Momo knows that’s not the right thing to do since Dabi's coeff isnt 300+ yet and has to stop Todo but also stop Dabi from getting away
And Todo seeing Dabi makes his pp creep up reaaalllly close to 100+ which is Todo's greatest fear
So. Momo in the moment has to like throw the dominators away, tie up Todo or smth and knock out dabi all in a split second
And then finally todo comes to his senses while tied up and collapses on the floor like "im sorry.... thank you Momo. I believed in you"
And she collapses on the floor beside him too and they both kinda just put their heads together to take a moment bc ahsjjdslfs the whole situation was just too much
AT THE VERY END FINALE (assuming Dabi escapes like Makishima did or smth) WHEN TODO FINDS HIM, DABI'S GONNA BE LIKE "Im happy it ends this way and happy you found her bc I didn’t have someone like that to keep me afloat under all of dad's pressure"
(Note: whatever "ends this way" entails has yet to be decided)
(But he’s not gonna die and im not making Todo a killer)
this story could end with him leaving the country like Kogami did
And hey y’know what. lets do that. He escapes. that’s a re-occuring theme here lol
FOR FUNSIES:
The blossoming romance w Momo is what keeps Todo’s pp down. like it gradually drops from 65 to 40ish and he doesn’t notice it as plot and romance goes on until the very end when, the day after the finale when Dabi escapes, he wakes up, has an Official Date™ w Momo and then checks his pp later which suddenly is at 40
Qjdkkfsk how funny would it be if every time Todo thinks pervy thoughts of Momo his pp tracker spikes up from 40 to 70+ and whoever checks the trackers see it 😂😂😂
Bakugou just happens to check the monitors as Deku walks in like "Kacchan lets go its our shift" and Deku sees it too and he gets worried and consults Iida who talks to Kaminari bc he’s on Todo’s team and it goes around the MWPSB like wildfire among all the guys
So going out for drinks later is like 8 of them sans the Enforcers and really, most of the time Deku and Bakugou have their pp under control but when Todo tells them abt that moment, everyone is too sh00k and then THE WHOLE GROUP'S PP GETS TOO HIGH AND CAUSES AN AREA EFFECT ADKJDFJDAHSFK
the iinspectors themselves instigate a psycho hazard and the enforcers that stayed back, particularly the girls are like what the fuCK Guys
It probably becomes an inside joke among all the guys some ways down the line. they had to do their own damage control and it was A Disaster™ 😂😂😂
Aizawa is still the captain of the ship in this au bc even though he’s basically Saiga and retired, All might & Endeavor tell bkdk and tdmm's team to consult him bc he has really good insight on cases
and when Aizawa meets tdmm when they consult with him over Dabi's case he's so ONBOARD
And mebbe helps out with Todo's pp problem like dropping hints that hey, y’know, mebbe your partner can help - in more ways than one - if you just listen to her instead of tryna bottle it up all yourself
kamijirou has had a bet for how long it'll take them to fuck since they've been assigned under tdmm
Aizawa joins in on the bet
And honestly Bakugou probably does too only bc he gets pissed off looking at the unresolved sexual tension and being the victim so he wants to win

Momma’s Home - Morgan Rielly
requested: yes (by anon) and no (lol)
prompt(s): “Daddy Mo and his babies picking mommy up from the airport” + my extraneous twist
word count: 1,822
author’s note: I’ve been trying to crank out Mo content for you all! Hope you enjoy! I have another one coming tomorrow leading up the Raptors game and Leave the Light On (Part 4) on Tuesday! Leave me some Mo asks, blurbs, etc. and I’ll be answering some tomorrow night during game 5!
Tumblr media
Morgan had always been so supportive of your professional development, from the time you were in university to when you were working in the industry to now when you had expressed interest in attending a conference that would sharpen your skills and reignite the passion for marketing. You were three years out of the industry, taking a break to raise a family of your own but that didn’t mean that you didn’t want to continue to grow in your field or at least just catch up.
Once Morgan caught wind of it and heard just how passionate you were and how sad you were that you couldn’t go, he convinced you otherwise. He loved watching you learn and grow and thrive and this was no exception. He was willing to do whatever it took to send you to that conference.
However, that meant that for the first time, you’d have to leave your two babies for more than 24 hours at a time. Yeah, you were used to having Nana and Papa take them for sleepovers on the weekends every now and then but you don’t think you’ve ever truly been a far distance away where you couldn’t just drive over to pick them up. This trip would require you to be in Indianapolis for four days. And just the thought of being in another country away from your boys hurt your heart. Lukas was only two and a half, very mobile and very much living up to the Terrible Twos face and Levi was only six months old and highly dependent on his momma. You weren’t sure how it was going to work but Morgan shushed you, booked your plane ticket and walked you to security boys in tow and sent you on your un-merry way to the US.
Four days later, you returned to Vancouver inspired and full of knowledge and passion but missing your boys most of all. Morgan tried not to overwhelm you with videos and texts of what they were up to during your seminars but you couldn’t help it when you opened those sporadic messages. Seeing their little faces climbing all over your husband, spitting up on him and making a mess made you miss them all the more. The FOMO was very much real.
So as soon as you got off the plane, you couldn’t help but sprint through the airport, your backpack bobbing behind you, in search of your little family. You were hoping to beat the customs line and when you finally did after the longest line you’ve ever seen in YVR, you took off for the escalators.
You couldn’t even describe the giddiness, the aching in your heart, the want to just be home to snuggle with your family.
And when you saw them, at the base of the elevator, you heart burst. Levi was all snuggled up in Morgan’s arms and Lukas was bouncing on his feet with a “Welcome Home, Momma” sign, written sloppily in Crayola marker, by Morgan’s side and you knew instantly that this was where your heart belonged.
“My boys!” You squealed, running up to where they stood and scooping up your son and pressing a big kiss to his cheek.
“Momma, momma,” Lukas chanted, getting your attention. “Miss you!”
You smile at him and dropped another kiss to his forehead, melting as your little man snuggled up into you. “Missed you, Lulu!”
And then you look to your husband and your heart bursts with thankfulness and gratitude. He’s holding Levi’s tiny baby hand in his with a bouquet of peonies outstretched in your direction.
“Welcome home, momma,” he smiles, his arm winding around your waist and pulling you in for a kiss. “We missed our girl, didn’t we, Levi!”
You throw your arms around his waist and hugged him to you. “Missed my boys more than anything in the world,” you mumble into his neck. “I’m so glad to be back home with you.”
He presses one last kiss to your temple before stepping back. “Let’s get your bag off the belt so we can get you home for a good cuddle session, k?” You let a wiggley Lukas down and nod, extending your arms for your baby boy, letting Morgan go to grab your bag off the revolving belt, your two and a half year old in tow.
You cuddle Levi to your chest, his head tucked tiredly under your chin. You press a gentle kiss to his tuft of blonde hair and enjoy his soft breaths against your skin as you rub up and down his back comfortingly. “Momma’s back, baby boy.”
You lament on the long weekend behind you and although you had the best time, learning from the greats in the marketing industry and teaming up with the up and coming from around North America, you knew that the workplace was no longer for you, at least for now. You belonged here, with your youngest baby cuddled up in your arms, watching as your husband swung your toddler up and onto your luggage, rolling him along, squeals of excitement in the air. You knew you belonged with them, no matter where that was: at home, at the airport, in Vancouver, in Toronto, at the rink, on vacation. With your boys, that’s where you wanted to be.
“Ready to go?” Morgan asks as he nears you and you nod, taking his hand in yours and walking toward the parking garage.
After tucking in the boys into their car seats, you got into the front seat.
“Mo, is this Ice Cap for me?” you wonder, staring down at the frozen beverage sitting in the cup holder.
Morgan joins you in the front seat and grins at you. “Yeah, I had my morning coffees, thought you’d need your caffeine fix, too.”
You brighten up, taking a much needed sip and moaning at the caffeine jolt. “How’d you know I’d need this?”
“Well, Lulu here wanted a doughnut on the way and you know I can’t resist doughnuts...” you roll your eyes but giggle at the admission. “And I remember what you were like after our honeymoon, so...”
“Okay, to be fair, we were flying from Italy. The jet lag was insane.”
“...And every time we fly from Toronto to Vancouver...” he laughs and you shove at his arm.
“Shut up and just take me home, Mo,” you grumble, taking another sip. “Can’t even save me a donut...”
“What do you think I am, a monster?” your husband challenged, reaching back and throwing a paper bag your way. “Chocolate frosted with sprinkles, baby. Your favorite.”
“Lulu’s favorite, too!” Your toddler chimes in from his car seat.
“You boys are buttering me up... What’s going on?” you mumble, narrowing your eyes.
“We just miss momma, don’t we?”
Levi’s coos fill the car as if agreeing with Mo and you all laugh.
“But I guess you’ll just have to see when you get home.”
When you got home, the scene before you was enough to drive you to tears. You walked into the entryway of your home with your baby boy sleeping soundly in your arms to a huge banner strung across the foyer reading “Welcome home, momma!” in paint, Levi and Lukas’ hand and footprints making all the vowels.
“Oh my god, Morgan!” You cried. “This is too sweet! I can’t imagine how hard it was!”
“Oh, yeah. Lulu over there finished his handprints and took off to the nearest white wall he could. Grabbed him last minute.” But you were thankful nonetheless. “Come on, got another surprise for you!”
Morgan grabbed you by the hand and led you into the study.
“What could you—“ and you were speechless.
What once was the room that held Morgan’s extra gear was now an actual study, outfitted with books and decor in the built ins, a brand new desk and sitting area. It was straight out of a catalogue.
“My mom helped me clean and decorate it. Thought, you know, since you’re serious about going back to work that you’d need an office of your own.”
“Morgan, that’s not—“
“I already have some interior designers back scheduled to visit the house in Toronto in a few weeks. It should be all done before we get back!”
“Mo...” you didn’t know what else to do but hug your husband, so you did. You held him tight, careful not to disturb your son sleeping in your arms. “Thank you. Thank you.”
“Anything for my girl,” he whispers against your head. “Come on, I got dinner ready. Let’s go, you must be starving.”
And you were. You scarfed down the home cooked meal like it was your last, the lasagna rich and warm in your belly.
“Thank you, Momo,” you murmured, resting against your husband, his arm wound around you as you laid back and watched Moana for what was probably the hundredth time with your boys all cuddled up on the couch.
“For what?” he asks, absentmindedly, one hand playing in your hair, the other cradling Levi.
“For this. The trip, the conference, taking care of the boys on your own while I was away, dinner, the sign, the study! This was all too much!”
His gaze shifts to you tenderly and he watches you tenderly. “You spend all your time supporting me and my career and sacrificing everything... that this, this is the very least I can do and the very beginning of a lifelong devotion to thanking you for what you do for me, for us... I can’t imagine what it must be like to give up something you love, your dream job and I don’t want you to—“
“Morgan...”
“You had fun, right? This weekend, you had fun?”
“I mean, yeah. I had fun, I learned a lot. But, Morgan... that was my past life. This, here, with you and the boys... this is where I belong. There is nowhere else I’d rather be.”
The way he looked at you... you didn’t think he could ever look softer, more tender, more in love.
“I love our babies, our family more than any job, any position, anything else. I will always pick our family over anything. Momma is the title that was meant for me.”
And in the dimness, the flickering of the television with Moana score playing in the background, your children surrounding you, Morgan leaned in to press a kiss to your lips.
“I love you, Y/N.”
“I love you, too, Momo.”
And with that, you snuggle up, pulling the blanket further over you and Luke who was cuddled into your side.
“But Mo?”
“Yeah, baby?”
“I can take a trip every now and then if that means coming back home to this sweetness every time... and to dinner and a clean house and a chocolate frosted sprinkle doughnut.”
Mo chuckles at your statement, presses a kiss to your temple and murmurs, “that can be arranged.”

BnHA Chapter 207: Close Encounters of the 4th Set
Previously on BnHA: Honenuki, Tetsutetsu, Todoroki and Iida were all put out of commission in one fell swoop. Seeing as Sen and Ojiro were already captured, this left the fate of teams A and B riding on Shouji and Pony’s respective shoulders. Although Pony succeeded in keeping her fallen teammates out of Shouji’s hands, she wasn’t able to get Shouto over to the Rat Principal Jail before time ran out. As a result the battle ended in a draw, which means that the classes are still tied with one win each. Over in Recovery Girl’s office, Iida and Todoroki took turns blaming themselves, but in the end the two of them renewed their determination to become heroes who put everyone at ease and rush to the rescue of anyone who needs it. Also they’re now best friends with Honenuki. Meanwhile back at Ground Gamma, the fourth set is finally about to begin, Tokage from class B is looking to kick some ass, and my son Kacchan is eager to start showing off for his excited green boyfriend. I am hyped.
Today on BnHA: Team BakuJirouSeroSatou takes on Team TokaBondoAwaKama as round 4 begins. We briefly check in with the audience, where Vlad King is being loudly biased toward 1-B and All Might is being quietly biased toward 1-A. We then cut to Team A who are obediently following Bakugou’s lead despite some obligatory grumbling on their behalf. Bakugou wants to go straight in for the kill, and the strategy is for him to take point while the others hold the rear and Jirou keeps her earjacks peeled for trouble. Trouble does indeed find them before long, as Tokage attacks with her self-amputation quirk, which allows her to split her body up into small pieces that can float around independently to do recon and harass people and so forth. Anyway, so while she’s out there pestering Bakugou, Bondo shows up and uses his “can spit out glue everywhere” quirk to trap the others. Bakugou blasts them free with an explosion, but it leaves them exposed, and Kamakiri from B Team leaps in to attack Jirou with his “can make swords from any part of his body” quirk. Or at least he tries. But before he can actually hit Jirou, Bakugou jumps in to save her. Because didn’t you know? The best heroes are the ones who both win and rescue, and we love character development here in BnHA.
(As always, all comments not marked with an ETA are my mostly-unspoiled reactions from my first readthrough of this chapter. I’m caught up with the manga now at chapter 223, so any ETAs will reflect that.)
wow, Colander Man
Tumblr media
and Bakugou is what. chopped liver? not to mention poor Satou. you do know he’s another physical powerhouse right?
ah, Awase is jumping in now to defend their honor
Tumblr media
I knew I liked you for a reason Awase. aside from you saving Momo and Bakugou’s lives
oh hey, it’s this guy!
Tumblr media
I’ve been wanting to know more about him for ages! it looks like he shares a personality with Bakugou, which means I instantly love him. that says a lot of things about me, doesn’t it. whatever guys, it’s a manga!
hey what the hell is Tokage’s deal anyway though
Tumblr media
like, what is this little scale thing that she seems to be floating. goddammit. I’m so curious about her and I already love her and it’s confusing
oh hey, interesting
Tumblr media
this is the first time we’ve seen a map of the field. I wonder if that means it’s gonna be important to this match. imagine if one of the class A teams actually tried a strategy!
...okay that’s mean, and not quite fair to the first group (even if they did get in on the strategizing game pretty late), and then to Momo specifically and only Momo. but everyone else kind of just flailed around. I’m starting to think they might actually have gotten too used to having to adapt and react to things instead of being more proactive
anyway, Vlad is going on to say that class A’s one and only win was mostly due to Shinsou, and I have to say, he’s not wrong. however, he forgot to say “only win up until now.” key point there, Vlad King
lmao now Kami, Kiri, Aoyama, and Tokoyami (though he’s mostly silent but you can feel his support) are booing him
and Aizawa’s telling them to cut it out lol
Tumblr media
what are you, picketing him?
oh Aizawa you’re so sensible as always
Tumblr media
you see guys this is what I said. you haven’t really brought your A-game so far. well except for you Kaminari
noooo now he’s all “looks like Vlad’s teaching skills were a cut above my own” and his kids look PHYSICALLY PAINED
how is he such a good teacher, though?? like, this is the most gentle scolding, and he’s even shouldering the blame himself, but he makes it so effective somehow. he knows exactly how to hit them where it hurts without being cruel or hurting their confidence
and just saying, unlike a certain other teacher, he knows how to rein his students in when they start to get petty
Tumblr media
Vlad? you out there? hello?
by the way has Monoma’s tie always had that weird black spot pattern on it?? that’s weird
(ETA: yeah I’m clearly not very observant lol)
lol at least class A has one person unabashedly on their side
Tumblr media
THAT’S BECAUSE THOSE ARE HIS CHILDREN
plus, look, Midnight. everyone loves class A. they are plucky and determined and a couple of them have broken wings but they are on the mend and ready to rise from those ashes and kick ass and save the world and okay but frankly the idea of anyone not loving them is just absurd. in fact I would argue that class B has been performing so well today precisely because they’re up against class A and they just naturally bring out the best in everyone
but yeah it’s also just because they’re his kids. and mine, as it just so happens! Katsuki where are you though
Tumblr media
(ETA: okay but lmao at All Might being all “I love everyone equally” and then not one panel later thinking to himself “GO ON AND FUCK THEM UP, YOUNG BAKUGOU.”)
;____; oh, cool. it’s okay. I’m cool. it’s just All Might thinking to himself about how he’s expecting great things of Katsuki. even though he is not his successor and he has not invested anything into him. meaning I can take this as confirmation that he really has adopted him in spite of that. he didn’t think ‘I’m expecting great things of you, young heroes!’ or anything generic. he specifically thought about Bakugou. the kid he’s chosen to be Izuku’s partner. okay guys actually it’s not okay and I’m not cool but I’m gonna shut up and keep reading!!
Tumblr media
my boy always here to bring me back to reality. oh how I love you
soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow! SLOWPOKES! !!!
lmao teamwork
Tumblr media
in all honesty watching Bakugou’s leadership in action is always fascinating to me. because it works in defiance of all expectations. everyone’s always complaining about what an asshole he is, but they can also see that he pushes himself just as hard as anyone else. he’s tough, but he’s also fair. he won’t ask anything of someone that he wouldn’t also ask of himself. and because his classmates understand that, they’re willing to follow him
so here they are all grumbling about his attitude, and yet they’re going along with it all the same
Tumblr media
lmao Bakugou you really have set the bar for cooperation quite low. good job on tempering those expectations kid
so now we’re flashing back to their planning session
Tumblr media
that’s not much of a plan Katsuki. WHY ARE ALL OF MY SONS SO STUPID. hopefully his improved self-awareness will kick in and he’ll listen if the others make suggestions
(ETA: I’m sorry kiddo, I underestimated you. it was a simple plan, but effective. “go out and kick their asses and watch each other’s backs.” but what really made it work is the fact that he took point and they let him coordinate them. that’s something all of the other A Teams lacked aside from Momo’s team, and she unfortunately got cut off from the others. basically, the lesson to take away here is that good leadership can make all the difference in a situation like this.)
also interesting to see the hierarchy at work here lol. so these guys are “underlings” and “punks”, but meanwhile the enemy are “small fries.” not even deserving of more acknowledgement than that, huh
hmm, I’m not sure who’s right here tbh
Tumblr media
I know Bakugou has never been the type to sit and wait, and he thrives on improvisation almost as much as Deku when it comes to strategy. but I do feel like if they had taken the time to make a plan to set up some sort of trap, it could have been really good
on the other hand, their team is powerful enough to make “attack head-on” a valid strategy as well. or so it would seem. but we all saw how that worked out in the previous match, though. so far pretty much every class A team has underestimated class B, and that’s proven to be a mistake
anyways I guess we’ll see!
and now it looks like he’s spotted someone up ahead, and he’s calling for the others to hold up
lol
Tumblr media
yeah he knows you have a name, it’s Ears!
(ETA: and in fairness, the Japanese word for “ears” is “mimi” and I think it’s an adorable nickname tbh. I will be sad if he ever stops calling her this.)
at least he’s making effective use of her quirk though. maybe he does have a strategy
oh hell yesssssss look at Jirou being a total badass
Tumblr media
the amount of mental processing that must be in play here with her having to identify all these sounds and distinguish them from one another and identify their sources and figure out where they are in relation to her is frankly incredible. it almost overwhelms me just thinking about it, so I can’t imagine what it’s like for her. much respect for Jirou, and Shouji too for that matter
but Bakugou is getting impatient and telling her to hurry it up
she’s saying “wait...”
oh shit
Tumblr media
lol did you all fuck up somehow
oh damn
Tumblr media
nothing to see here, just a floating disembodied mouth chilling out behind Bakugou
how come the others didn’t spot it if it was between him and the rest of them?
dude what the hell
Tumblr media
TOKAGE YOUR QUIRK IS FREAKING ME OUT. WHERE ARE YOU. COME OUT HERE AND EXPLAIN THIS TO ME YOUNG LADY
how did the mouth know to dodge him. it’s only a mouth. how can it see or hear or have spatial awareness. why would you send a mouth out to spy on someone, out of all the body parts you could possible send
so apparently Tokage’s quirk is called “self-amputation.” clearly one of those quirks that’s actually much, much better than it sounds lmao
Tumblr media
see, the eye makes sense though. I get that she can move her body parts independently, but how does it work when a mouth can somehow see stuff? or is the eye just floating high enough that it can see all the other parts so she knows where to move them?
(ETA: maybe this just works like Mighty Wings and Pony’s quirk and I should just stop questioning it sob.)
and now Bakugou is being pelted by a bunch of disembodied Pieces of Tokage
Tumblr media
jury’s still out on whether I find this quirk cool or terrifying, but I will let you know when we come to a decision!
so Katsuki is thinking that they don’t pack much of a punch but they’re annoying because the targets are too small to hit
meanwhile Sero is setting up some sort of tape perimeter which doesn’t look like it would be even remotely effective, but they seem to have confidence in it lol
Tumblr media
“there. now class B, you stay on your side of the stage, and we’ll stay on our side”
and now part of Tokage’s head is again shouting, “okay, all done!”
what is all done??
OH SNAP
Tumblr media
CLASS B HAS A GLUE MAN?? COLANDER MAN, YOUR QUIRK WAS GLUE?! HOW DO THE CLASS B QUIRKS KEEP GETTING EVEN MORE AWESOME
so now the glue is dripping off of Sero’s tape barricade and they look pretty stuck. shit
Colander man says this was all due to Tokage’s plan
Tumblr media
Bondo is such a great name. reminds me of Sero’s. straight up Engrish. I love it. and that is a damn convenient quirk
and here comes the Bakuclone now to enter the fray
Tumblr media
isn’t this the same quirk as that lame doped-up mobster guy that Kiri beat in the Basement arc, before we got to the basement part of it? aww. I’m actually a little disappointed here; not that it isn’t a cool quirk, but when you’re competing with guys who can physically manifest onomatopoeia and shoot fucking glue at people and melt anything they touch, that sets the bar pretty high as far as creativity
wow, class A really managed to get themselves into quite the... sticky situation. ahaha. why are you looking at me like that
Tumblr media
what even was the tape barrier supposed to do other than get in their way to begin with though
now Satou’s doing something inexplicable
Tumblr media
protect them how, by miming that you’re in an invisible box??
oh thank fuck
Tumblr media
this is one of the funniest Bakugou panels I’ve ever seen by the way
just. the way he’s still getting the shit beat out of him by Tokage’s flying amputated body parts. the fact that he’s completely facing the opposite way from where he’s aiming for no apparent reason. what are you even doing
having said that, that’s some damn good control. to be able to blast the glue away while not hurting his friends, once again without sparing a fucking glance in their direction, apparently? damn, son
I bet you Jirou could have blasted it apart with her quirk though if he hadn’t stepped in
Tumblr media
fuck you, they didn’t need a shelter to begin with. and it’s better than being stuck in place and not being able to fight back at all
anyway so now he’s diving at them, and Tokage is shouting to take out Jirou first!
ooooooooooh
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
yes please omg!?!?!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Tumblr media
BAKUGOUUUUUUU
holy shit. he practically teleported there. he’s so fucking fast holy shit. class B never actually stood a chance did they??
also, Deku’s face though?? the way his jaw just dropped and he doesn’t even appear to have registered it? thank you manga gods for this glorious bounty oh shit
and now there are two bonus pages of BnHA smash featuring the Bakugou family oh lord what a blessed dayyyy
(ETA: I still gotta go back and do the rest of these which I forgot about from the previous chapters. you can clearly see where my biases lie since these are the only ones I didn’t skip lol.
also, this seems like a good place to put up my Mitsuki Disclaimer, which is that I love her but I understand that not everyone does, but I’d like to steer clear of any discourse about it if it’s all the same to everyone! my more in-depth thoughts about it are here just fyi.)
so first there’s a strip basically establishing the hierarchy in the family
Tumblr media
poor Masaru. I like to think he has a spine when it comes to the important things, though. but clearly he’s not very good at laying down the law
and next up is a strip about Katsuki and Mitsuki waging war and tearing the house apart
Tumblr media
(ETA: okay but can we all stop for a moment to appreciate that Mitsuki, who has no hero training and whose quirk is “glycerin sweat” which does absolutely nothing other than give her healthy glowing skin, nonetheless smashed a fucking table (??) to bits here with her fucking fist just cuz. new headcanon that Mitsuki was Rosa Diaz in a past life. what kind of woman doesn’t have an axe.)
ngl I like that she’s not intimidated by him. but “poor Masaru” certainly seems to be a running theme here
and lastly we have Katsuki angrily asking why his dad married her, only to instantly regret it as his dad nostalgically begins to reminisce about their romance
Tumblr media
the second panel with Katsuki’s “oh shit” attempts to abort once he realizes what he’s done is amazing omg
Masaru: [loudly] “AND THEN WE HAD SEX”
also their cute lil blushes in the third panel are adorable
I appreciate the text saying “treat him kindly” because seriously, Bakudad is a precious cinnamon roll and he deserves love and appreciation
anyways that’s all for today, tune in next time, kids. same Bakutime, same Bakuchannel

TodoMomo Disney AU (2)
As promised, here’s part 2! @kitanoko I’m just giving you more to read lol :) I’m doing a part 3 that’s basically the BakuCamie sidestory and more of the servants’ sheningans, but if you guys like this, I may do more todomomo, too!
Part 1
The next day, Momo wakes up on the luxurious sofa, wearing the ripped dress from yesterday. Jolting awake, she looks around, searching for Todoroki. “He’s in his study,” Kaminari answers, wriggling his eyebrows knowingly. Momo ignores it to walk up the stairs and into her room, where she’s greeted by Camie singing a happy tune and asking if she’s fine and how everything went. Plopping on the bed as Ashido prepares a dress for her, Momo tells them everything.
“Sounds to me like you two finally bonded!” “I wouldn’t call one talk bonding but - I must admit, I’m curious. About this curse, and about him. Just why was a man who’s ready to throw his life away for a stranger cursed?” She’s interrupted by a knock on her door, and she opens it to an awkward Todo, “Would you like to, uhm, have breakfast with me?” Momo beams, “With pleasure!”
Apparently, Todoroki can drink the finest tea from porcelain cups but he cannot, for the life of him, use a fork. Momo needs to stifle a laugh as she herself uses her hands to eat and chuckles, “This feels so weird.” Todoroki doesn’t say anything, but Momo can swear his lips twitch in a smile.
Breakfast also means that she meets Eri, a small and adorable cup that jumps in front of her until Momo runs a finger around her rim, making her giggle. Midoriya, who is not, in fact, her father, but does take care of her, materializes himself as a teapot, from the same set as Uraraka, and Jirou whispers in Momo’s ear, “One good thing about our situation is that it gave Midoriya and Uraraka enough time to finally admit they like each other.”
“Is there anything you’d like to do?” Todoroki asks after breakfast. “Visit the mansion!” “I thought Kaminari and Iida already gave you a tour.” “Mostly through the kitchens,” she answers, and Todoroki gives the two a pointed look. Iida, feeling guilty, answers, “It’s french cuisine, my Lord, and she did not know what the grey stuff is!” Todo just shakes his hand at that and walks ahead, Momo following soon after.
It’s the first time they’re completely alone, and Momo discovers just how quiet Todoroki is. Last night, when she pieced together a puzzle, it was different - it only now strikes her how little they might have in common. “So, uhm,” Momo tries, “do you like to read?” He gives her a dubious look, “Yes?” His eyes suddenly light up, as if he has found something he was looking for in her face. “Do you like to read, too?” When she nods enthusiastically, he picks up the pace, and Momo needs to almost run after him.
Soon enough, they find themselves in front of colossal sculpted doors, and Todoroki gives her a smile - a genuine smile, with his fangs poking out and his eyes glistening. Where did anyone see scary? - before pushing the doors open.
Todo watches the millions of books and shelves reflected in Momo’s eyes, and the way her feet almost lift off the floor as she runs in and glues herself to the closest shelf, reading spine after spine. Once she goes through about a dozen of those titles, she looks up, at the glass ceiling that bathes even the top shelves in a magical glow, and her jaw drops open. It’s the happiest Todo has ever seen her - or anyone else, for that matter - been, and the thought that he contributed to that makes an unfamiliar warmth bloom in his chest.
“All of these - did you - are they -” Todo feels the urge to laugh - laugh! He wonders how that even sounds - at the girl who didn’t flinch in front of a beast, but stumbles over her words in front of a library. He’s about to hit her with a snarky remark, but she looks at him with those starry eyes and grabs his paw - she touches him - to drag him to the center of the room and tilt up her head, letting out a melodious sound of pure and unobliterated joy. How long has it been since the walls reverberated with such a sound?
“You love books,” Todoroki says for lack of anything better, and Momo smiles at him widely. “Yes! Can I-” she looks to the shelves longingly, so Todo interrupts her, “They’re yours if you want them.” Momo gives him an incredulous look, “I can read them?” “All of them,” Todo says, actually smirking. “This is the best present ever,” she mutters, already running towards the first book that stands out to her. “It’s… your birthday?” “Ah yes,” she absentmindedly replies. “I’m turning 18.”
Maybe Todo should have mentioned this earlier to her but he’s not exactly… good with social cues. “We know, you dumbass,” Bakugou huffs. “If we throw her a party I need to schedule it-” Iida frantically turns his cogs (quite literally) while Todo only dramatically sighs, “it’s too late!” Deku pours a drop of water on his brow to get his attention. “It’s not. Does she strike you as the type who wants sumptuous parties?” “No?” “Exactly! I bet she’s going to be delighted just if you have dinner with her and talk.” “And try to have some fucking manners,” Bakugou helpfully supplies.
Meanwhile, Momo is plopped on her bed, surrounded by looks and thriving. “You sure look happy,” Camie sing-songs. Jirou comes in and has a word with Ashido, but Momo is oblivious to everything because she’s reading, and she isn’t being judged for it.
One hour later, she finds herself in a gorgeous blue gown, catching the light and sparkling brighter than the stars. “Why-” Momo tres asking Ashido, but she just waves her off. “You’ll see, dear.” And so, Momo holds her dress to climb down the stairs - it’s the first time they’re lit up by candles, and it almost feels romantic - and is met by Kaminari at the foot of the stairs. He gallantly leads her to the dining room and there-
And there is Todoroki, dressed in his best suit, bowing awkwardly to her. “What’s all of this?” Momo asks, bewildered by the candlelight and glasses of wine and the delicious smelling dishes. It feels like one of the dinners she’s read about in books, the ones people prepare for balls and parties-
“It’s your birthday,” Todoroki explains. “And I figured you might - is this not to your liking?” “This is perfect,” Momo says, her voice catching in her throat. “Nobody ever did something like this for me,” she explains when he flinches and raises a hand, as if to wipe her tears. His worried look melts into a smile and Todoroki pulls out her chair for her. “Then I hope tonight is special.”
And it is, because she finds out that he actually doesn’t care much for meat but loves sweets, and he finds out that she used to cook and that it feels weird to have someone else do it for her. She laughs when he says he isn’t sure how to peel potatoes and makes it a point to have him cook at least a meal a day under her supervision. It’s special because for the first time in forever, she talks about her passions with someone other than her father or Aizawa, and it feels natural.
When she finishes her dessert, music starts filtering through the dining room, and Momo looks at Todoroki questioningly as he holds out a hand for her. When she doesn’t take it, he retracts it as if he’s been burned, and Momo’s hands quickly clasp around his paw. “I don’t know how to dance,” she mutters, not meeting his eyes. When she finally looks at him, she sees surprise and amusement blended together and hides her hands behind her back. “Laugh all you want, but I’ve never been to a party before.”
To her surprise, he holds out his hand again, and this time, she takes it. Gently, he brings her closer, and says, “Why would I laugh?” From up close, he seems… kind. Gentle. A bit awkward. There’s something about the scar surrounding his left eye that looks sad, but his eyes are soft and his mismatched eyebrows shielding equally mismatched eyes are fascinating. “Because girls are expected to know this stuff,” she mutters, and is suddenly aware of her every move, of how foreign the gorgeous gown is on her and how unbefitting, and how majestic he is.
“You’re not expected anything. You’re you, Yaoyorozu, and you’re doing that better than anyone.” She blinks at his words and steps closer with more confidence than before. “But you may need dance lessons,” Todoroki winces as her heel lands on his feet and Momo laughs sheepishly.
And that’s how it starts: dance lessons once every two days for her, cooking lessons in the other days for him. Reading in the library, discussing books whenever they can. She asks him for clues on breaking the spell and he says that everything they’re doing will help, but it’s not at the forefront of her mind anymore.
One day, Todoroki knocks on her door and she opens up to be greeted by envelopes and ink. “I thought you might want to write to your father. I know you’re close and-” his words die in his throat as she wraps her arms around his torso and breathes, “oh, thank you.” Thus, Tokoyami finds himself a job delivering letters every week (he’s a raven).
“Todoroki, I need something more than ‘you’re involved’ if we want to break this curse!” Momo says on day, perched up a ladder in the library as she hands books to Todoroki one by one. “These are all on curses, but neither of us has magical powers, so I doubt drawing a circle on the floor will help,” she sighs as she raises Kaminari to light up the shelf above her head. “Have you read any fairy tales?” Todoroki asks her. Momo quirks a dubious brow, “Aizawa said those were stories for kids.” “And there’s a lot of magic in them,” Todoroki stresses, pulling out a thick book from the library.
Thus begins Momo’s journey reading the stories of Cinderella and Snow White, but all she can find is a lot of gibberish on “true love’s kiss”. “Why would Todoroki want me to read all of this? Clearly he doesn’t believe that these girls were in love with their so-called princes after meeting them once!” Jirou sighs, “Can I get a refund?” while Camie sings, “She’s gonna realize it soon, fam!”

A/N: Heyyy, I'm trying to make up for the time I'm gone lol! Sry for taking so long to post :D I hope that the anon who gave me this idea on Tumblr likes it!
The request: hi 🧸 i love ur work!!

(A/N: Thank you for being so sweet, I hope I did justice to your ask <3! XOXO)
PS: Tysm for everyone who reads what I write, I hope I can bring a smile to your faces every time I post! I'd like to thank whoever sent me this idea 'cause I loved to write it <3
__________________________________________________________
The air was thick with nervous anticipation as Y/N fidgeted in her seat, glancing around the room at the familiar faces of her TWICE sisters. It was supposed to be a casual get-together, a movie night at their shared dorm. Yet, the maknae's heart pounded in her chest as she wrestled with the words she wanted to say. The weight of her secret threatened to suffocate her, but she knew she couldn't keep it hidden any longer.
As the opening credits rolled on the screen, the members settled into the cosy living room, each with their own snacks and blankets. Tzuyu, the group's second youngest member, sat next to Y/N, unaware of the inner turmoil brewing within her dongsang. The younger girl stole a glance at Tzuyu's serene expression, and a knot tightened in her stomach.
The movie played on, but Y/N couldn't focus. Finally, summoning the courage, she took a deep breath and turned to Tzuyu, who looked at her with a questioning smile.
Y/N - Tzuyu unnie... *shaky voice*
Tzuyu turned her attention fully to her little sister, concern etching her features.
Tzuyu - Yeah, hon?
TWICE's boo hesitated, her fingers playing with the hem of her sweater.
Y/N - There's something I need to tell you all.
The room fell silent, and the other members directed their attention towards Y/N. The weight of their gaze only intensified the girl's anxiety. She took another deep breath, locking eyes with Tzuyu.
Y/N - I... I'm lesbian.
She finally admitted as the words hung in the air.
A brief pause settled over the room as the members processed their kid's revelation. Tzuyu's eyes widened for a moment, then softened with understanding. The other members exchanged glances, their expressions a mix of surprise and support.
Sana broke the silence, her voice as gentle as possible.
Sana - Darling, thank you for trusting us with this. We love you, no matter what.
Momo - You're still the same Y/N we've always known and loved. *nodding in agreement*
Y/N managed a small smile, grateful for their initial understanding. However, Tzuyu remained silent, her expression unreadable.
The movie continued, but the atmosphere had shifted. Y/N felt a growing sense of unease, wondering what Tzuyu was thinking. As the credits rolled, Tzuyu stood up, excusing herself to get some water. The youngest's heart sank as she watched her best friend leave the room, unsure of what to expect.
Alone in the kitchen, Tzuyu filled a glass with water, her mind racing. She couldn't deny that her little sister's revelation had caught her off guard. However, Tzuyu knew that this was a key moment for her mate, and she wanted to handle it with care.
When Tzuyu returned to the living room, the members had started discussing the movie. Y/N felt a pang of anxiety, unsure of how to approach Tzuyu. Sensing her bestie's unease, Tzuyu subtly motioned for the girl to join her on the balcony.
As they stepped outside, the cool night air enveloped them. Tzuyu turned to Y/N, her eyes softening with understanding.
Tzuyu - Baby, I want you to know that nothing has changed between us. You're still my best friend, my sister. I care about you, and I'm grateful you trust us enough to share this part of yourself. *gentle voice*
Y/N's eyes welled with tears, a mixture of relief and gratitude.
Y/N - I was scared, Tzuyu unnie. Scared that you would look at me differently.
Tzuyu reached out, gently wiping away a tear from her dongsang's cheek.
Tzuyu - I understand why you were afraid, but I hope you believe me when I say that I love you for who you are. Your sexuality doesn't define you. You're still the same Y/N we all love.
TWICE's lovebug nodded, feeling a weight lift off her shoulders. Tzuyu's reassurance was a balm to her wounded soul. They stood on the balcony, the night sky stretching out above them, and Y/N felt a renewed sense of connection with Tzuyu.
Tzuyu - You're not alone, Y/N, never. We'll always be here for you. We're family, no matter what. *pulls Y/N into a comforting hug*
As the two friends embraced, Y/N felt a surge of gratitude for the understanding and acceptance she had found in Tzuyu. The fear that had closed her off began to dissipate, replaced by a newfound sense of belonging.
Back inside, the other members noticed the change in their babygirl's demeanour when she returned. Tzuyu's supportive presence had worked its magic, and Y/N felt a renewed connection with her TWICE sisters. The night continued with laughter, shared snacks, and a deepening sense of sisterhood.
As the clock ticked away, Y/N realized that she was surrounded by her chosen family who accepted her completely. The fear and isolation she had felt earlier had transformed into a sense of belonging and love. With Tzuyu and the rest of TWICE by her side, the maknae looked forward to a future where she could be her authentic self without fear or reservation.
And this made her have one thought:
I'll love my dear older sisters forever.
A/N: I'm sorry for any errors. English is not my first language. Pls, let me know if there is something wrong, ty for reading <3

A Coward's Resolve
Momo Yaoyorozu, three words; his sibling's babysitter.
Todoroki never thought he'd fall in love with anyone for that matter, but here he was in love with the girl that chooses to fold his little brothers underwear out of sheer politeness. She may be a year younger, but it doesn't stop Shouto from feeling less and less confident around her. After understanding his embarrassment was unnecessary he resolves to be more bold and express his feelings. For once it seems like the odds are in his favor.

(UN-EDITED)
Note:
Hello readers,
It's been a long time since I've been avidly in the BNHA fandom and even longer since I've actually used AO3 and Tumbr. I had published a few other todomomo works way back in the beginning of 2018 (over a year ago!!!), but I decided I no longer wish to return to that account and I wish to remain separated from that identity (?) idek if that makes sense. Anyways I was really motivated to write more Todomomo after seeing this art piece come across my feed on twitter for no reason, it was a blessing though because now I am extremely stuck in the todomomo hole again. The link to the art piece will be at the end of this note.I hope you enjoy this work and as always please give criticisms, regular comments and kudos!
*clarification: this piece was not based on the artwork, I just really enjoy it!
https://anush_arts.artstation.com/projects/ZK0G1 (if this link no longer works in the future it is a gorgeous drawing by Anush Arts of Todoroki and Momo in full color, kissing in a relaxed position on a yellow covered bed, Momo's hair is down and slightly wavy, she wears a lavender tank top while Todoroki is shirtless and in black shorts, it's nothing NSFW just really sweet because she's sitting beside him and he cradles the back of her head) @anush-arts
Now on to the story:
"Ah, Todoroki I see you're awake."
Todoroki, still half asleep, smiled deliriously at the sound of her angelic voice. He soon realized it was a little too out of place for his bedroom. His eyes shot wide open.
Yaoyorozu Momo was in his room, the gorgeous black-haired girl herself, sitting by the side of his bed in a tank top of all things.
Damn did he wish the context were different.
She made eye contact with him and winked as he sat straight up, not wanting to seem like a child.  It took him a moment to realize he wasn't wearing a shirt, because Yaoyorozu showed no reaction at all. He was thankful she didn't make him more embarrassed by becoming flustered herself, but a little part of him wished he had been more bold to her in the past to elicit that type of reaction. She hardly batted an eyelash after seeing him half naked. He opened his mouth to say something, but she shushed him with a single finger pressed to her lips, gesturing toward the sleeping child to her and his right.
If he didn't already feel emasculated enough she just had to remind him that at seventeen years old he was still sharing a room with his younger brother Natsuo, who was only four.
His parents had needed a babysitter for his siblings because a four year old boy and two year old girl aren't exactly easy to handle. Of course, stubborn Todoroki had refused to help out around the house leading them to turn to Yaoyorozu, the responsible girl who lived a block away. She was only sixteen, but the most mature person Todoroki knew by far.
She stared at his sleeping sibling fondly as she bent over to pick up the legos strewn across his floor. Todoroki watched her backside sneakily for a moment before getting up to put on some real clothes.
Todoroki had a secret desire to be more confident around girls, but it really wasn't something he'd employed on his everyday life. He opted to slip into his closet to change, but not without promising once again this act of cowardice would be his last. Who knew if he really meant it.
Todoroki took exceptionally long to pick his outfit just to impress her. He finally decided on something that expressed style, but not "I'm trying too hard."
When he emerged she was gone. He walked toward his bed contemplating going back to sleep at 9:00 PM, but stopped himself. He saw his discarded pajama pants, which he threw out of the closet door, folded neatly with a small sticky note on top. He also realized the note on the flimsy piece of paper had substance.
Todoroki-san, you were asleep all day lol. I know training is hard, but please think of your cognitive health as well. You need to eat, I am making a night time snack. Please join me :9. - Y
He didn't need to finish the note before guilt of potentially not indulging Yaoyorozu's request made his legs move on their own.
As he walked through the hall the aroma of hearty broth filled his nose. He chuckled. It was just like Yaoyorozu to cook a really unconventional snack, the uniqueness really stood out in a household of forced status quo.
The Todoroki household's kitchen was large to say the least, the unwelcoming feel of the dull walls and steel appliances was brightened by Yaoyorozu's cheerful demeanor. She had cracked a window open to let the gentle sound of far off cicadas fill the absence the kitchen left her.
Beads of sweat formed on her slight shoulders as she softly danced around while humming in the summer heat.
The sight was one to behold. Todoroki contemplated going up to her and leaning his head over her shoulder to check what she was making, but that subtle type of flirting was way out of his comfort zone.
He was about to just settle into the couch when Yaoyorozu grabbed the knife she was using to chop carrots and started waving it around in some sort of spastic dance? Todoroki couldn't help, but laugh, who could blame him? Unfortunately Yaoyorozu heard his low chuckle an opened her eyes wide in embarrassment.
They stared at each other for just enough time for the pot Yaoyorozu had previously been stirring to boil over.
Yaoyorozu quickly snapped out of her flushed daze and hurried toward the pot that was currently spilling liquid all over the stove. She attempted to turn the heat down, but right as she touched the handle she jerked her arm back. Some of the soup had already reached the knob making it extremely hot to the touch. She stuck her finger in her mouth while lifting her tank top to cover her unburnt hand as a makeshift oven mitt. The stove was successfully turned off and Todoroki was already at her side trying and failing to ignore her exposed midriff.
Todoroki took his mind off of her body to slide open the nearest drawer, hopeful that there was a bandage inside. Luckily for the both of them a single band aid lay in mint condition next to various paperwork for whatever reason.
"Yaoyorozu."
He tried to get her attention in an almost whisper since they were so close.
"Yaoyorozu I have a band aid."
Still no response. Todoroki tapped her shoulder, mindful to not touch her bare skin with his naturally cold hands.
She continued to fret and mutter, sucking on her pointer finger no longer out of necessity, but stress.
Sighing he reached past her shoulders and grabbed her wrist, pulling her finger from her mouth and drying it with his own sleeve.
"Yaoyorozu, please focus."
She froze. Yaoyorozu stood still in what Todoroki thought was compliance to his request, but in reality she was in shock. A noticeable blush spread from her neck up and she shrunk herself to let Todoroki's arms guard her sides. It was even worse when he asked her to lift the burn toward him.
She didn't want to question him and sound like an idiot so she did as he told her to. Todoroki leaned forward, over her shoulder, to the point where his lips were almost touching her finger. He puckered his lips together and...blew. The lukewarm stream of air relieved some of the heat while he peeled the wrapper off of the band aid and placed it around her finger. "Sorry that it's Hello Kitty. I don't have anything else."
Momo smiled tentatively, and turned around to face him. When she completed the 180 he slowly retracted his arms from around her, making sure to be a complete gentleman and not touch her once. Todoroki looked nervous, sheepish even, he began rubbing the back of his neck, fearing her response.
"I really feel like I should pay you back Todoroki, that was really kind of you."
She turned back around and reached for two bowls, high in the kitchen's myriad of cabinets. Yaoyorozu wasn't exactly short, but the Todoroki family was extremely tall. She struggled to reach the shelf and deemed it unladylike to climb the counter top. Todoroki didn't miss one beat and again reached over her to grab the dishes.
"You do to much around this house anyways. You do realize you're being paid to sit and watch TV with my siblings, not act like a maid."
Yaoyorozu knew he meant it to be as polite as possible though the delivery was a bit crude. She reached around him to grab a ladle and began to pour soup into his bowl then her own.
"Are you telling me to stop folding all of your laundry because you'd be a mess if it wasn't for me."
Yaoyorozu jested and the slight blush on her cheeks finally calmed down. Todoroki laughed at her small joke, deciding to dismiss the whole thing all together.
Yaoyorozu carried on serving their meal and Todoroki followed her like a shy puppy to his dining room table.
The silence that enveloped them in the dark kitchen was bordering on comfortable to say the most. The only noises heard were the clinks of spoons on porcelain and ever buzzing summer cicadas.
Todoroki shot a look at Yaoyorozu, who was absorbed in her soup and currently adding a pinch more salt to her personal bowl. She was adorable, her hair crowning the tips of her ears ever so gracefully as she pushed it back to lift her spoon to her mouth. Her delicate lips pursed and formed the cutest 'o' Todoroki had ever seen.
He wanted to say something, but just couldn't lift the pressure of the stillness.
Yaoyorozu on the other hand was jittery, she could feel the blatant stare of Todoroki hovering over her ever since the consistent sound of his minor slurping stopped completely. She was a woman of action though and looked up, already offering a thin smile.
Todoroki showed no reaction to her sudden display of awareness. Inwardly he cried with joy, outwardly his face stayed stoic.
The teen babysitter across from him stopped fiddling with her soup bowl all together. Trading the spoon for a lock of her own hair she rolled it between her fingers over and over, a sign of nervousness.
"What's with the flirting?"
She blurted out the most blunt statement of the night, which was saying a lot with Shouto present. As soon as the words left her mouth her hands flew up to cover her betraying lips.
He was shocked, confused, nervous, completely overrun with emotions. When he stayed frozen and didn't respond Yaoyorozu continued speaking out of awkwardness-lifting habit.
"Ever since your parents hired me you've never rested in your antics. What am I to make of it?"
Her diction was polite, but a slight twinge of desperation in her voice showed through. Todoroki shook off his complicated reaction and said it how it was, albeit even he was confused.
"Yaoyorozu I've never flirted with you…"
She looked distraught, panic of her misinterpretation created a fearful mask over her entire body.
"I'm sorry I must have-"
Todoroki interrupted her floundering.
"That doesn't mean I don't want to."
His sheepish demeanor returned, he was in disbelief of what he just said. Todoroki did the opposite of Yaoyorozu in the fact that he made no attempt to speak again and further agitate the awkward situation. Instead he clammed up mentally and physically as shown in his body language.
The void in the air was especially thick, neither one wanted to speak up first. Instead they opted to avoid eye contact and shuffle their feet.
Momo was too emotionally tired to speak first again and shockingly Shouto stepped up into her shoes.
"Did you really think I was flirting with you?"
Todoroki hid his eyes in a downcast glance while Yaoyorozu practically spoke with aggression.
"What was I supposed to think when you held my hands walking me home? Visited my locker personally to return my school books I left here one night? Todoroki you are infuriating!"
With the last puff of her frustration out of her system Momo coughed out of pure shock of her rudeness. She hunched over and hugged her knees to her chest, shielding herself from his response. When it didn't come she peeked over her arms to see a genuine smile emanating from the boy across from her.
Before either of them could get a syllable of their already open mouths a creek was heard from upstairs. Their eyes widened as tiny footsteps made their way from room to room and finally emerged in the form to Natsuo.
"Momo! I'm hungry."
The atmosphere was ruined, yet Shouto and Momo exchanged knowing looks. She gave him a wide grin before hurrying to Natsuo's side, baby voice in full effect.
Shouto stayed at the table, but looked on fondly. He clenched both hands into fists and made a genuine promise to himself. For once, Todoroki really really really resolved to approach Momo next time.

BnHA Chapter 198: A Pair of Chuunis
Previously on BnHA: Shinsou, Tsuyu, Kaminari, Kirishima, and Kouda (henceforth known as Team A) faced off against Shiozaki, Tsuburaba, Shishida, and Rin (Team B). Kiri, Kouda, and Tsubu were captured, making it 3 VS 3. Tsuyu covered Shinsou and Kami with her disgusting frog mucus in order to mask their scent so class B wouldn’t be able to track their movements. They then purposely allowed Kaminari to get captured as a distraction to let Shinsou get close enough to Shiozaki to ensnare here with his quirk. Realizing what had happened, Shishida stopped talking so as not to fall under Shinsou’s control himself. However this also left him unable to communicate with his remaining teammate, and Rin was shortly thereafter taken out by Tsuyu. Shishida was knocked out shortly after that, and so Team A ended up winning the match, giving class 1-A the lead as we enter the second round.
Today on BnHA: Aizawa and Vlad provide their respective students with constructive criticism following the match. Meanwhile the remaining 8 teams begin to plan out their strategies, including Monoma who is excited to have the chance to work together with Shinsou, particularly after witnessing the first match. It turns out he’s not the only one interested in what Shinsou can do, as Aizawa and Vlad reveal to All Might and Midnight that today’s exercise is doubling as Shinsou’s exam determining whether or not he should be admitted into the hero course. The second round of battles begins, with Team MomoYamaTokoKure facing off against Team KendouKuroMangaToadette. Kendou is excited to be battling Momo, as she considers the two of them to be rivals, and feels that up until now Momo has been outshining her. Meanwhile Kuroiro from class B bonds with Tokoyami over their mutual goth aesthetic before the two teams split off to get things started. Toko sends out Dark Shadow to do recon, only to have Kuroiro -- whose quirk allows him to move freely within the color black -- hitch a ride back to Team A’s location. The two prepare to clash, and Toko gets ready to show off a new technique he’s apparently learned from Hawks.
(As always, all comments not marked with an ETA are my mostly-unspoiled reactions from my first readthrough of this chapter. I’m caught up with the manga now at chapter 222, so any ETAs will reflect that.)
my man Aizawa out here making sure I continue to stan him
Tumblr media
this is school after all!
and oh my god this title
Tumblr media
you know it’s the Momo chapter when...
goddammit Kirishima’s self-esteem issues are acting up again
Tumblr media
does anyone know if that “staring at yourself in the mirror and psyching yourself up by reminding yourself that you’re cool and awesome” thing actually works? maybe he should try that. he’s so good at complimenting other people but he’s so damn hard on himself. why are all shounen characters like this
Kouda says he needs to get better at issuing detailed orders to insects
good god Kouda, if you improve on your quirk you’re going to be fucking terrifying aren’t you
and I know I just said all shounen characters are too hard on themselves, but then along comes Kaminari to prove me wrong!
Tumblr media
you were great, buddy. 10/10 I stan one adaptable and clever electric boy. I would pit you and Mina up against Rat Principal all over again because I bet you two would crush it now
(ETA: not to mention that as Jirou will shortly point out, he’s skirting on the edge of falling into his usual derp mode here -- but he’s managing to retain his senses for the most part, which is extremely impressive given how much electricity he put out in that fight, first against Shishida and then later against Shiozaki. Kaminari!! you’ve become stronger!)
Tsuyu says she wanted to win without any casualties and she regrets losing two of her teammates
Shinsou, who did amazing for his first time, says it was “incredibly frustrating” and that he wasn’t able to apply even ten percent of what he’s learned
kid, take that frustration and channel it into becoming even more determined to fulfill your dreams! that’s the upside of being a shounen character who’s too harsh on himself! you learn and you keep getting stronger, okay?
see, and Aizawa’s telling him the same thing
Tumblr media
wow so he didn’t master it until he was out of school, then? or did he start on that before he entered U.A.?
say, aren’t we due some Aizawa flashbacks soon? this is the arc the manga was on when I first started reading, so it seems to be about that time I’d say
(ETA: so what is it exactly that made people have all these headcanons about him knowing the Iida family as a kid? I know he and Tensei are both in Vigilantes, so I’m guessing now it has something to do with that. lol and here I thought we were going to get a whole backstory. instead we’ve had all of one panel’s worth of flashbacks, and that was very recent and we apparently don’t know what the deal is with that yet except that he had some sort of cloudy friend that he doesn’t want to talk about. not that I’m not loving that, mind you; it’s just not what I was expecting. I really gotta start Vigilantes don’t I. maybe this weekend)
oh my god
Tumblr media
I’m a simple girl, I see Jirou losing her damn shit over Kaminari and I hit like and subscribe for more great content
and yes, Aoyama, they do seem to be taking this much more seriously than the others. thinking about what would have happened in a real life situation. and I mean, that’s not a bad thing per se, but it’s just... they’re still kids. and already thinking about death and other worst-case scenarios because they’ve experienced it firsthand now. and man but that’s rough
now Aizawa is giving them his own pointers
Tumblr media
he’s such a good teacher I love him so much
meanwhile Vlad is chewing out his own students
Tumblr media Tumblr media
didn’t Horikoshi describe his teaching approach as being gentler than Aizawa’s? was that just because he doesn’t expel entire classes at the drop of a hat? sure not seeming real gentle right now lol
Tumblr media
(ETA: strut strut)
excuse me Monoma who is the teacher here
but he says that despite the loss, he’s satisfied because they showed the rest of them “something marvelous”
Tumblr media
(ETA: strut strut)
yeah, I’ve been wondering about that. he probably can’t wait to try that quirk out for himself
man if Monoma bonds with Shinsou and then Shinsou ends up joining 1-A I am going to laaaaaaugh
(ETA: lol except for the fact that I sorta kinda ship it now oh shit)
and they have an advantage over the class A Shinsou team since they actually have some time to prepare
wow they’re all strategizing now
Tumblr media
friendly reminder that I love all of these kids and would die for them
and yes you, Todoroki. humility is all well and good but let’s not kid ourselves. you’re a powerhouse and you need to own it
I have no doubt that Team BakuJirouSeroSatou is going to crush this and I can’t waiiiit
(ETA: THEY SO CRUSHED IT)
and who fucking asked you, C-3PO. maybe they can’t have spare parts installed, but human bodies literally heal themselves given just a bit of time and rest. we don’t need to sit here and be dragged by someone who can’t even pass a damn turing test okay
All Might is reflecting on how much everyone has grown. he sure does that a lot
Tumblr media
I guess. and also a way to finally introduce the other 20 U.A. first years after 200 fucking chapters lol
hey what
Tumblr media
what is it. what’s with those faces. y’all wanna throw down or what?? bring it
oh they just want to know what they thought about Shinsou
Tumblr media
All Might is so good I love you All Might
!!
Tumblr media
oh shit. so spoiler alert I guess he passes lol
is he aware that it’s a test? is this another one of your Logical Ruses you deceitful hobo
yessssssssss!

I honestly can’t fathom how a team with both Momo and Tokoyami could possibly lose. they’ve even got Aoyama “saving the day in the clutch” Yuuga and Hagakure “I’m the friggin’ traitor” Tooru for fuck’s sake
by the way, Hagakure’s right fist is facing out but isn’t that weird? wouldn’t it make more sense to have your fist facing toward you for this kind of “pumped and ready to go” gesture? idk why it bothers me. maybe because she’s literally only hands so you could at least get that one detail right lmao
and have I mentioned how much I love Momo’s cape. now if only they’d get her a fucking zipper good grief
that kid from class B who speaks in literal dialogue bubbles is freaking named Manga and I can’t you guys
I have no problem with calling Kuroiro by his name, but I’m pretty sure that legally I have to continue referring to Komori as Toadette. I don’t make the rules you guys
Kendou is asking Momo why she didn’t enter the beauty contest during the cultural festival
Tumblr media
have I mentioned lately that Aizawa is the best dad? I have? well it never hurts to say it yet again. Momo had more important things to worry about than participating in the least rational annual event this school puts on
oh right, somehow I forgot that these two did their workplace experience together. actually can I just call it a fucking internship even if it wasn’t an internship internship? y’all still know what I mean anyway so come on
Tumblr media
this is an odd thing to bring up now and I can’t help but think Kendou’s trying to get into Momo’s head somehow
(ETA: nope. just bein’ rivals)
oh, Hagakure’s bringing up that one guy at the festival who kept cheering for Momo. I had been wondering about that. so he was a fan of theirs from the commercial they did then? who the hell stans someone from just a single commercial
Tumblr media
yes
ooh, hidden dark side from Kendou all of a sudden!
Tumblr media
I mean, on the one hand I don’t like Kendou getting jealous because these badass ladies should be supporting one another, not harboring jealous thoughts and insecurities
but on the other hand she’s not wrong about Momo though trufax
okay good, this seems healthy enough
Tumblr media
A WHOLESOME LADY RIVALRY, EH? BRING IT
oh my god
Tumblr media
imagine going from drawing Shiozaki to drawing this guy. Horikoshi must be filled with relief right now
oh my god Kuroiro’s quirk is apparently amazing!?
Tumblr media
holy shit?? WHIP OUT THAT DARK SHADOW AND TEST IT OUT! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR
lmao
Tumblr media
if these two don’t watch it they are gonna cut themselves to ribbons on ALL THAT EDGE
so then is Hagakure gonna clash with Toadette. or Manga
so now round two is officially starting, and Sero is asking his friendly neighborhood Tetsutetsu about Kendou, Tetsu’s crush
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I ship these two kids so hard. he adores her
lol he says that if she wasn’t around the whole class would have been “indoctrinated” by Monoma
he says she’s the big sister of class B
yeah, so basically the Momo
and now Todoroki is thoughtfully chiming in
Tumblr media Tumblr media
you know, operation? as in scheme? as in whatever plan Momo’s thought up using the intellect that’s put her on at the very top of what is probably the most brilliant class in U.A. history?
so now we’re cutting to Team B, and Kendou is saying that they should wait and see what Team A has in store first, since even though they know their basic quirks, they don’t know what improvements they’ve made and what special moves they’ve come up with
Tumblr media
go fuck him up Kuroiro! I know I shouldn’t be rooting for you, but I’m so fucking curious to see if you can use Tokoyami’s quirk against him omg
Tumblr media
meanwhile we’re cutting back to Team A, and Tokoyami is reporting to the others that Dark Shadow has located Team B
oh shit
Tumblr media
TOKOYAMI THEY GOT YO BOY
Dark Shadow’s zooming toward them now and Tokoyami’s shouting at everyone to disperse
Tumblr media
HE LOOKS SO SAD OH NO
Tumblr media
KUROIRO YOU ASSHOLE WHY ARE YOU MY NEW CLASS B FAVE
Hagakure is all “Kuroiro popped out from inside Dark Shadow!” as though everyone else didn’t just watch that happen right along with her
Momo’s flinging some ninja nets at Kuro but he’s dodging!
Tumblr media
I LOVE IT
Tumblr media
HOLY SHIT TOKOYAMI IS RIPPED. WHEN DID THAT FUCKING HAPPEN. WHERE WERE THOSE ARM MUSCLES DURING THE POOL EPISODE, JESUS
(ETA: and I’ll have you know Horikoshi even specifically described his arms as “fairly thin” when he did his little bio in chapter 101! so this is a recent fucking development. bird boy been hittin the gym)
also he sure does have a lot of natural enemies doesn’t he. his quirk is so powerful but it has a lot of weaknesses
and lmaoooooo at “a pair of chuunis” holy fucking christ
how is this chapter over already?? oh well, we’re almost at 200, let’s keep going and check out Toko’s new technique
