My Mom at my first HRT consultation

Yesterday I had my first HRT consultation where we talked about what will be going on in my life when I start testosterone.

The doctor was very friendly but she kept saying that there will always be a way back and that it's never to late to change my mind (she was not being rude and she said that very nice, but she said it like 10 times).

When we walked out of the hospital I talked about this with my mom and she said something absolutly heartwarming:

"Look... People always assume you're so smart. You have so many responsibilities and everybody expects a lot from you. You have made so many great desicions in your live... Then why should I assume that you don't know what you do in that topic? I trust you that you know what you want."

My mom is the best.

Everything’s Coming Up Sara

My mom is the best person I know.

She sent me a care package every month my first semester of college, and still sends us birthday, Valentine, AND Halloween boxes every year. Some people may not enjoy receiving a large box of gummies shaped like body parts, fake spider webs, and Halloween socks, but I happen to love over-celebrating anything.

I’m sitting in Aida, “studying” for a midterm, when I get an e-mail notification.

It’s from my mom, so I’m expecting something forwarded that she thought was hilarious.

Like I assumed, it’s a forwarded message.

UNLIKE I assumed, it’s from Viennale Film Festival.

It’s tickets.

My own mom was the birthday miracle master!!
