hunter and their scary girlfriend thought of a way to expand on my arti lore
(technically in br au since that's my main fix it au)
oooooo if I had the motivation you'd get such a feast but nooo nooo that's too much for my little baby brain anyways I'll just bs my way through an explanation because I find it really neat
so after artificer finally left the collapsed blorbot's side, she went out to explore what she could have missed (and to just escape the cold she don't like it). She comes across a weird looking dog (unter) and gets in a fight because suspicious individual grrr who are you I miss my robot kid angry sad face. They both proved to be great fighters but artificer eventually wins because woag so strong and fast (cancer slug is looking respectfully). before things could escalate, a couple of pups interrupt the fight in hopes to "not lose another friend to scavengers". plot twist the pups are her kids and the suspicious slugcar found and took care of both while she was far away. the pups do recognize her and emotions and reluctant co parenting with the (actually no longer) rot infected slrug because the pups love having two (gay???) moms :D.
mmmm I got big stuff planned for the connection to br au so I'll save that for another time :]

Warnings: So part 10 has a part 2 only because I wanted Chapter 11 to start perfectly on the drama. -oops.. no spoilers Rose! Anyways, this Chapter has nothing serious. Just clearing things up and opening them for the next ;)
“The Secrets of Gotham-Unmasked”
Chp. 10 pt.2
Y/n wrapped her legs around Bruce’s waist as she held him against her bare chest, they were working on catching their breaths after there moment of bliss. Their sweaty skin stuck to each other but they couldn’t care less. Bruce kissed the valley between her breasts and asked,
“Are you ok baby?”
He felt her arms wrap tighter around him as she confessed,
“More than ok.. we could’ve been doing this so long ago if I had known.. how great you are.”
He chuckled and blushed,
“you think I was great? But it was my first-“
“You made it perfect.. you took care of me and made me feel comfortable and happy.. you make me happy baby.”
He smiled and laid his head back down on her chest. He had tried so hard to hold on for her and to give her the best, it had hurt her for a little at first, and he kinda freaked out. But Y/n guided him and told him that was normal, it was something new for her body. But after a few moments of explaining how to prep her then how to proceed, he became a pro in seconds. He then got up to look at Y/n and said,
“Let’s go clean up ok?”
“ok”
Bruce helped her into the bathroom and they took a quick shower, they then returned under the covers on the futon after they each put on clean boxers. Bruce loves seeing her with his boxers on, it just made him feel closer to her. They got comfortable under the blanket and Bruce asked,
“you want to lay here for a couple of hours? We have until midnight to go out.”
“yeah.. I just wanna be with you, hold you, feel you.. right here.”
“ok love.. I’m here.”
Bruce then moved them to where they were both on their sides and Bruce brought her close to his chest and Y/n tangled her legs with his. It was barely ‘10:15’ so they had a couple of hours of rest before having to go out. So they took a short nap together.
Alfred’s POV
Alfred has already returned from buying a tree, he made sure to find the best one then had them bring it to the Manor. They set it up for him as Alfred took out the lights and ornaments. Once they left he turned on the small recorder in the kitchen and let it play soft Christmas music in the background, and began to decorate the tree. Doing such brought back so many memories, like when he would assist Bruce’s mother, Martha, to put the tree together. It brought tears to his eyes as his chest warmed up at the flashback it gave him,
*Flashback*
“Alfred Alfred!! Mom wants us to put up the Christmas tree!! Come on! Come help us!”
Martha had tried to engrave into Little Bruce’s head that to address Alfred as Mr.Pennyworth, but he never listened, especially because Alfred said it was ok. So Bruce ran up to Alfred happily as he tugged on his vest begging him to follow him to the living room where his mother was. Alfred nodded yes and let himself be practically dragged to the living room. Martha chuckled at the sight and said,
“Bruce Thomas Wayne, let go of poor Mr.Pennyworth’s vest! You can ruin it-“
“Don’t worry Mrs.Wayne, he’s alright.”
Alfred chimed in, Bruce still let go and tried to fixed his now wrinkled vest with his little hands, but nonetheless smiled and went on to say,
“Can you carry me to put the star on?”
“Of course son, come here little man.”
During the time Thomas Wayne, Bruce’s father, was busy running campaigns and attending meetings for his upcoming run for Mayor. So that day he wasn’t around, making Alfred the man of the house for the day, or for the days Thomas wasn’t around. But Alfred was never bothered by it, it only made him more protective over the Wayne’s. So Alfred picked up little Bruce. Bruce took a few minutes to adjust the star on the tree, it hurt Alfreds arms just a little to be holding him up so high for quite a while, but he never complained. Once Bruce was content he let Alfred know to put him down, which Alfred was more than happy to do as he put him down gently. The minute Bruce’s feet touched the floor he turned around and hugged Alfreds legs and he thanked him,
“Thank you Alfred!! Merry Christmas.”
“Merry Christmas Bruce.”
Alfred mirrored the true and genuine smile Bruce held, his little blue-grayish eyes were almost swallowed by his little pupils that were so dilated at the moment. He was happy, innocent, and complete, not afraid of anything. He had his family. And that was the last Christmas they had after that.’
*End of flashback*
Alfred held the star in his hands, as he looked at his now decorated tree proudly, he decided that he would leave the star for Y/n and Bruce to put up together, so he went to his office and grabbed a small piece of paper and wrote a small note for Y/n. He went back to the living area and set the star down by the tree on a table with the note next to it. Just as he was going to prepare some warm tea the clock chimed ‘11:30’
‘Oh it’s almost time for them to go, let me go see if they need help.’
Y/n’ POV
Y/n’s watch beeped loudly waking them up, she had set it for ‘11:30’. Bruce shook awake and sat up slowly while stretching, he smiled at Y/n who was now laying under him holding a shy but happy smile. He bent down his head and pecked her lips,
“Let’s get ready baby, come on.”
“ok..”
He gave Y/n her bra to put on and he picked out the thickest sweats and sweatshirt to wear under her suit. He remembered how cold it would be on winter nights in Gotham. He handed them to her and helped her slip her feet through the legs of the pants as she put on her sweatshirt. As he began to get on his sweats they heard the elevator ding. Bruce without second thought stood in front of Y/n shielding her, but went at ease when he saw Alfred coming out, so they both greeted him in sync,
“Evening Alfred”
“Evening you two.. is there a way I can help?”
Bruce nodded yes as he approached Y/n’s mannequin,
“Could you help us put this on Y/n?”
Alfred was confused for a moment before asking,
“I thought you two tried that out- oh.”
He then quickly realized what had gone down at focusing on the purple mark Bruce had right under his ear and how both of them had a mess of their hairs, and how their cheeks began to paint themselves a bright shade of red, he put two in two together and figured out what had happened. But of course he didn’t push it. He gestured for Y/n to come to him as Bruce hurriedly began to take the suit off the mannequin.
“Alright dear, these sweats have to go under the suit, first to keep you warm and to protect your body more. We are going to start with the pants ok?”
“Ok.”
Y/n stood still as she waited for Bruce to hand her her pants, once she got them she began to slip them on. Bruce got on his knees and helped her put one leg into each pant leg, not letting the sweats ride up inside the pants. Y/n held onto Alfred’s shoulders so she could balance herself easier. After the pants went on they went to the chest plated vest. It went over her head and Bruce began to show her with his hands how to put it together as Alfred voiced the instructions,
“Alright dear, the front, back, and sides click onto the pant belt, keeping it all put together, making it into one suit. We pull these straps on the sides to tighten it around your waist and chest. But we’ll let you adjust the top part,”
Alfred didn’t want Bruce to apply to much pressure to her top chest, hurting her breasts. Bruce was still kinda innocent and not realizing that her breasts are sensitive and can’t be strapped tightly behind a suit like his chest could. But that’s why Alfred was there to assist. So he let her do it herself until she was confident that it was tight enough but still ok and not hurting her. Alfred nodded his head approvingly,
“Perfect, let’s get your boots on.”
Bruce helped Y/n onto the desk as Alfred brought her boots to her. He began to explain,
“So with the boots, we tuck the pants into the boots, and we make sure to tuck the laces inside the boot too. Making sure they don’t come out and trip you over.”
Y/n did exactly as Alfred explained to the ‘T’, once she finished Bruce came with the gadgets as he said,
“These knives go strapped around your boot, they usually come in handy when fists aren’t enough. And this taser goes on your leg as well, and the stun gun on on your belt. Emergency button will be on your belt too, to the right side.”
Once she placed each one in their place she slid off the desk and stood up,
“What’s next?”
“These gloves dear, but first you need to wear the wraps, giving your knuckles more coverage, then put the gloves on.”
Bruce then decided,
“I think I’ll go as Batman tonight, I just have a feeling I might need to.. maybe next time we’ll go as ‘drifters’.”
“I thought the same Bruce, go ahead and get started.”
Bruce began to get dressed into his suit as Alfred guided her to putting on the rest of the suit, making sure it was on perfectly, he then went for the mask.
“You won’t have the same mask as Bruce, your mask will cover from your nose down. But you will wear a hoodie to shield your head.”
Y/n put her hair in a quick french braid and tucked into her suit.
Alfred handed Y/n the mask and she placed it on as he pulled the hoodie out of the neck of her suit, putting over her head. It hovered perfectly and right over her eyes, He sighed in contentment,
“This is turning out better than I expected, oh, and you need these lens for your eyes, it might hurt at first but it’ll be fine afterwards.”
He handed her the lens and she placed them on her eyes, she then asked,
“Is this ok”
Alfred nodded yes,
“More than ok.. look Bruce.”
She turned around to face a now suited Bruce, and his jaw just about dropped, she looked so.. good.
‘Why do I look like a creep and she gets to look like a warrior goddess? Nonetheless woah..’
“It’s perfect.. are you sure you still want to do this?”
Y/n shook her head as she spoke through the mask,
“I’m more than sure Bruce.”
Bruce then realized what was missing, he grabbed the black smudge he had just used before putting on his cowl and walked to her, he put some on his gloved fingers and addressed her to close her eyes,
“Close you eyes,”
She closed them tightly as Bruce rubbed the black smudge around her eyes carefully, once he got an approving look from Alfred he stood back and said,
“I think we’re ready.”
“I think so too.”
Alfred suggested,
“Take the Batmobile tonight, it’s too cold for the bike. And please be safe, Y/n if you ever feel too overwhelmed you can call me, I’ll come get you. Don’t hesitate.”
“Thank you Alfred, I’ll let you know..”
“Alright then, you two be safe.”
“”Thankyou.””
Alfred sent her a goodbye as he walked them to the Batmobile. Y/n got in quickly, first because she was cold, but second because she was scared out of her mind.
‘God is this stupid? No, no.. it’s not.. the more I can do the better, people need help, I need to find Saunders, and I want to see this RedHood face to face.. I can do this.. I think I got this dad.. I’m doing this for you and Y/b/n.’
Her thoughts were interrupted at the sound of Bruce’s door closing, she watched as Alfred began to step away from the Batmobile walking to the elevator then going up. Bruce took her hands in his large one as he saw them shake a little,
“Baby look at me.”
Y/n locked her eyes with his eyes that shone so brightly through the black smudge that covered his eyes, he then went on to say,
“You don’t have to do this, I mean it. But if you want to, just know that I’m with you,”
They then both said in sync,
“”From dusk till dawn, I’ll be there for you, till the end, and even then, my ghost will be with you, to protect and watch over you.””
Her eyes watered as they said their promise to each other, Bruce pulled her mask down as placed a sweet chaste kiss to her lips, he then gently pulled it back up.
“Remember, you cant say my name, I’m Chief, Batman, Bats, or B to you. And I’ll address you as Shadow, or... grey, sense your suit is grey. Ok?”
“Ok.. should we have a code name in case we’re in danger or such? Like what if we can’t reach our emergency buttons or something?”
Bruce thought for a second but agreed,
“You’re right, what should we have?”
Y/n looked around but couldn’t think of anything, that was until she remembered the bats that hung on the top of the Batcave, but decided to go after another name as her mind thought of Christmas all of sudden, she then found it.
“Robin... I like the code name Robin.”
Bruce found out he liked it too, it was short and perfect.
“Robin it is, just remember it ok?”
“I will.”
Once they felt they were ready Bruce put the address down on the GPS system he had built in that lead them to Saunders old property, he then turned on the engine letting the Batmobile roar to life, he began to back out and before they knew it they were on the streets. Gotham City welcomed them with a slight snowfall, not to heavy. Y/n looked out the window and loved how the darkest city shined a little brighter with Christmas lights. She began to feel more calm and ready, prepared. Fear still made her heart pump faster, but that only gave her the drive she needed. Especially with Bruce by her side, the man she had grown to love and cherish dearly, she knew he wouldn’t let her down.
Bruce also felt uneasy and was debating if it was a mistake presenting the idea to her, but he turned his head to right and saw how Y/n sat there in peace but at the same time some calm vigor. He still couldn’t believe how lucky he was to have her, in every way. She was his love, anchor, partner, and best friend. From the first time of seeing her, Bruce knew they would get along well, they held the same passion and she was trustworthy, wise, and undeniably strong. As well as a super soft, respectful, and sweet person. She understood when Bruce needed space and when he needed her almost on top of him. She read him well when he couldn’t speak. And after bonding like they did tonight.. there was no way on earth Gotham could take her back, she was his.. and he was hers.

Unwavering.
Summary: Bruce has a near-death experience and becomes a guest to some familiar figures.
Ao3
Part of my btafam flufftober2020
Note: Written for a prompt by @bane-rights-writes Hope I did it justice! Also tagging @fictionalguystalker cause they asked. Hope you enjoy!
Unwavering.
That's how they described him.
It didn't matter if he was Bruce, Batman, or even Brucie. A father, a son, a friend, a hero, a businessman and or an airhead. Unwavering, or some synonym, always came up in a conversation when describing him.
Batman was unwavering in his support, in his justice, in his ideals.
Bruce was unwavering with his faith, kindness and dedication.
Brucie could hold a room at the edge while tipsy on champagne.
Unwavering. That's what it was.
The hero was unwaveringly steadfast. The father was unwaveringly devoted. The son was similarly loyal. The businessman was dedicated to a fault. The airhead was always reaching out, whether it was good for him or not. The friend was always there, even when you weren't aware.
Unwaveringly. That was just how he did things.
At least, that was how it had been.
And then Robin fell and Bruce lost his baby.
These days Batman was violent. The hero had started to disappear in smoke. The father had become distant and the son was barely there enough to say a word. The businessman was becoming a mess and the party boy everyone knew had retreated into a shell. The friend had disappeared and Bruce Wayne seemed to be walking empty.
The man knew he had to do something, he knew he was hurting them, all of them. He knew his son would have been ashamed.
He just...The darkness was just so much easier.
xxx
Batman should have seen the hit coming but he was tired and angry and not thinking straight.
Joker goons. All dressed like their psychotic master.
Batman hadn't been paying proper attention, he had slipped, maybe by accident and maybe on purpose but he did slip. When the thug behind him came with a lead pipe, there was no one there to watch his back.
If he had stayed awake, he would have felt that pipe, and many more, beating into him. He would have heard Agent A's voice begging him to get up and then promising to rescue him.
Instead, he was already far far away.
xxx
Bruce woke up slowly, almost like he was emerging from still tar. The first thing that came into view were treetops, a little bit of blue sky peeking through.
Getting his bearings right, Bruce gingerly sat up. Looking around he could see that he was in a place with a lot of trees and on further analyzation a very familiar place with a lot of trees.
The woods behind the lake house.
Bruce remembered running out here once and getting lost. The sun had been setting, the winter evening turning frigid and he had been so scared that he would never find his way back to his parents again.
His father had found him though, had picked him up and held him close and shushed him all the way back to the lake house. There, his mother had also hugged him and they had all sat down to drink hot chocolate by the fire.
It was one of Bruce's earliest memories.
In the present, he got up and started to walk in the lake house's direction by memory. He had taken the path so many times, some alone and some with his boys, that his feet knew where to go by their own volition.
As he neared the edge of the woods, he heard the sweet sound of a child's laugh. A very familiar laugh.
Hurrying so much that he was practically running, Bruce quickly made his way to the edge of the woods and froze.
From where he was standing, he had a clear view of the back porch.
A steady beam of sunlight seemed to be falling on the building. On the porch, there was a small round table for three with lemonade and biscuits. Just off the porch, there was a woman dancing with a young boy, both their laughter mixing together though the child was much louder.
"Mom," he whispered, scarcely believing his eyes and ears, "Jason,"
"Yes, son," murmured a voice from beside him, "It is them,"
He whirled around and nearly dropped from shock.
"Dad," he said softly
Thomas Wayne stood there in all his glory, full head of hair, bushy mustache, vibrant blue eyes and the suit he had been wearing on the night he had died. Not looking a day over, thirty-six.
"Hey, Kiddo,"
Bruce sobbed and practically collapsed into his father's arms. Thomas held him close, gently shushing him and whispering sweet nothings into his ear.
"It's alright, Bruce. It's alright,"
"Dad," he whispered
"Dad!" called out another voice
Bruce jerked out of his father's arms just in time to catch a small bundle flying toward him. He hugged his son close to him, holding him so he was being crushed to his chest.
"Jaylad, Jay, my baby," he cried, "You're here Jason, you're here,"
"'Course I'm here, ya big boob. Stop ya whinin' and hug your ma,"
Bruce smiled and still holding on to his boy, he turned to Martha Wayne. His mom gave him a soft look before engulfing him in her arms.
"Oh my boy," she murmured, "How you have grown. Alfred did a wonderful job with you,"
"Yeah," he murmured into her shoulder, "Yeah. He did,"
"Come sit," she told him mas she pulled away
Bruce swung Jason onto his back making the boy giggle and shriek. They all headed toward the table where Bruce kneeled in front of his son.
"I'm so sorry, Jaylad," he whispered, "I'm sorry I wasn't fast enough,"
Jason tilted his head in confusion.
"Dunno what you're sayin' Bruce," said Jason, "I'm gonna grab another glass,"
With that, the boy turned and ran inside.
"Come sit," said Thomas, gesturing toward the table
"So, tell us," said Martha as they sat down, "How have you been?"
"That's a long, complicated story, mom," said Bruce
"Tell us,"
He started from his teenage years, narrating his school experience, good and bad, an edited version of his travels, his time as Batman, adopting Dick, adopting Jason. Somewhere between all that, Jason had come back and climbed into Bruce's lap. It was a little awkward considering that Jason wasn't as small as he used to be when he was a young boy but Bruce made it work. He wasn't about to let his son go.
Bruce ended his story before he got to the part about Jason's death. If his boy wanted to ignore it, he would too.
"Colourful life you've had," said Thomas
"Yes, it has been," said Bruce smiling down at Jason, the sunlight starting to make him drowsy.
"I think you still have many years to live that colourful life," said Martha, voice even so gentle
He held Jason close, though the boy didn't seem to notice, staring off into the distance.
"I want to stay,"
"You don't belong here," said Thomas
Bruce could feel his desperation clawing at his insides.
"But I- I really wanna stay, Dad," he said
"Jason," his mother said gently, "Come here,"
Bruce tried to grab the boy but he sprang away from him and straight into Martha's arms. She stood up and took him off the porch, where they started to dance again to a tune only they could hear.
"You have to go back," said Thomas
"But why?" whispered Bruce, "It's so peaceful here,"
"But isn't there someone else waiting for you,"
Someone else.
Bruce
That sounded like-
Bruce, please.
Oh god.
I still need you, B.
Dick
I'm so sorry Bruce. I'm sorry I wasn't there. I'll be better.
Nonononono. Dick.
"Go, son," murmured Thomas, "We'll be fine,"
Bruce stood up and bolted from the table. Jason waved to him as he ran by an ad he stopped long enough to give him son a hug.
"I love you," he whispered to him
"Run along, ya big boob,"
Bruce ran back into the forest where he had woken. As he went past the trees, they seemed to disappear, turning into wisps of nothing.
Bruce, please wake up.
The darkness seemed to be growing around him but Brue didn't care. He kept following the voice.
I love you, B.
Out of the darkness that had not surrounded him, a small beam of light appeared.
Dad.
"Dick,"
xxx
Dick had lost track of how long he had been sitting there, saying things as if they would bring Bruce out of his comma. Alfred was hopeful. Leslie had taken off the oxygen when Bruce had started breathing on his own, telling them that it was a good sign. However, it had been five days and the man still hadn't woken up.
Dick had barely left his side alternating between telling him funny stories and begging for him to wake up. After the first day, Alfred had put his foot down and made a schedule for him so he could take care of himself. According to said schedule, it was now time for him to get up and take a walk in the garden.
Not wanting to upset the man, especially when he had so much on his mind already, Dick started to get up, squeezing Bruce's hand as he did so.
Except for this time, Bruce squeezed back.
Dick stilled. had he imagined-no there it was again.
"Dad," he said, "Dad,"
Bruce stirred and his eyes fluttered open.
"Dick,"
Dick could have cried from relief.
"Yes, yes it's me, B," he said
"Dick," Bruce repeated, eyes coming to focus on him
"Yeah," whispered Dick, squeezing his hand, "Let me just call Alfred,"
Alfred was called and came down as fast as he could. He checked the man over and deemed him fit and fine.
"Don't you scare me like that again, my boy," said Alfred
Bruce, who now seemed much more present, smiled, "I'm sorry, Alfie,"
"Hmm," murmured Alfred, "Well, I have some calls to make and I am sure you two would like some time alone,"
Dick sat down and took Bruce's hand again.
"You really scared me, B,"
Bruce looked at him for a few moments and then smiled sadly.
"I haven't been a really good paren have I?"
Dick stilled, "No, Bruce I didn't mean- I mean I'm an adult now and-"
"Dick," he murmured squeezing his hand gently, "I know I haven't been great. I'm gonna change that,"
"You were grieving," said Dick
"So were you," returned Bruce, "I should have listened to you. I'm going to change some things now. I'm gonna talk to Dinah and get help and I'm gonna get better and I will try harder to be a better dad. I promise I will try,"
"Wow," said Dick, tears springing up in his eyes, "Must have been some hit to the head,"
Bruce smiled and pulled him in for a hug.
"You have no idea," he sid into Dick's shoulder
Dick didn't know what that meant and at the moment he didn't care, he was just glad to be hugging his dad again, feeling light the first time in months.
xxx
Batman, Bruce, Brucie Wayne.
The father, the son, the hero, the friend, the businessman and the airhead party boy.
Take him in any form and the man was unwavering in his own way.
He hadn't been for a while though. Not since his little bird fell and he lost a son.
But maybe, just maybe, with a little motivation and a little more help, he could be again.
Just maybe.

𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘸 /𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵 5/ 𝘩𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘺𝘶𝘯𝘫𝘪𝘯
pairing: hwang hyunjin (skz) x reader
words: 1′1k
genre: fluff
part 4 / part 5 / part 6
(the picture at the top goes along with the chapter)
"OH MY GOD!!!"
"what the hell happened now?!" hyunjin thought as he had just been woken up by minnie's screams. "did i really sleep till the next morning!" "did she just wake me up for t- i'm sorry but i did not sign up for this." hyunjin was annoyed. he didn't sleep well yesterday since he kept checking on minnie to see if she was okay during the night. "at least i have enough time to get ready and get to work. i'll get you some snacks on my way home although i think minho gave us enough for a full month." minnie told hyunjin while making her bed. "minho... i liked that one, and he clearly liked me." "hyunjin i'm going to take a shower, i'll be right back." "do i also have to take a shower?"
when minnie came out of her shower hyunjin couldn't take his eyes off of her. she looked different with her white dress on. as she was doing her makeup hyunjin climbed up her dresser and kept her company. "do you like my makeup? i tried something different today, you know, tHe gLoW uP pHaSe." she laughed at herself. "she's cute." "i'm done. how do i look?" "beautiful." "hopefully i look decent enough." the girl said looking at her reflection. "i have to go now. i'll see you in some hours okay? be good. bye hyunjin." "how could someone leave her?"
30 minutes had passed and hyunjin was already bored. he turned himself into a human and was currently walking around the apartment. "maybe i should do what she did this morning." so he took a shower and changed into the closet full of men clothing that was supposed to be for minnie's friend. "technically, i'm her friend too so..." he had to recognize it. he looked good as a human. "i can get used to seeing this pretty face every day." he said, looking at his reflection. "what do humans do? should i play music? yea, i'm going to do that." after some time listening to minnie's cds he found himself moving his body to the rhythm of the song. "wait i know how to dance?! i'm the whole package!"
minnie got 10 minutes early to work so she decided to get the boys a coffee and herself a piece of cake from the cafeteria located inside of the building. when she got to the office, she saw that the boys were leaving their stuff, signaling that they had just arrived. "guys i brought coffee for everyone." "yes! minnie my savior, the love of my life! thank you." minho said taking a sip from his coffee. "hey! she's the love of my life!" "jisung stop being annoying she doesn't like you back, let it be br- oh thanks minnie." seungmin said, giving minnie a big smile. "hey don't be rude to the poor boy, he's just jealous of minho and i. here you go dumbhead." she said while ruffling jisung's hair. "i am not jealous! you love me more than him, right?... right?!" "if that lets you sleep at night then, yes, jisung, she does." felix answered his question. "i hate you all." "hey! what did i do?!" "not you, baby, i love you." "i am not your baby, han jisung." "i like this drama." "seungmin shut up!" "jisung don't yell at him!" "are mom and dad fighting?" "shut up felix!" minnie yelled as minho was just laughing in the background until there was a knock on the door. "hi guys, boss told me that he's planning to hire an assistant for all of you so if you know anyone who you think could fit the job you should tell them." seohyeon informed the group of friends. "you done now?" "don't listen to jisung, seohyeon. he's grumpy today. thank you for telling us." minnie told the girl as she was now leaving their office. "what the hell was that?" "you know i can't stand her." "you don't have to be rude to her." "why do you care? go pay attention to minho instead." "are you honestly jealous right now?" minnie asked her best friend, not understanding why he was acting this way. "i'm taking a break." jisung said as he left to go outside.
of course minnie being minnie, followed him. she saw him sitting on a bench outside looking nowhere. she sat next to him and placed her head on his shoulder. "are you mad?" "of course i'm not mad at you. i could never be mad at you, minnie. you should be mad at me for being an asshole" "but you looked angry." "i just don't want to lose you okay. i'm scared. every day you're closer to the rest of the boys but act more distant towards me." jisung said looking down, minnie feeling her heart ache. "jisung you're never going to lose me. you are my best friend and i love you more than anyone else in this world okay? who was there for me when i decided to move to seoul? you. who helped me through the whole yunho ting? you. who also moved to seoul even though i told him multiple times it wasn't necessary but he is stubborn and does what he wants? yea you. i love you a lot." she grabbed his hands and intertwined their fingers. "i'm sorry i shouldn't have acted like that. you're allowed to have more friends i'm sorry i love you." the boy said looking down. "it's okay, i've known you my whole life, remember? i know you're not like this. let's get back inside, okay? we have a lot of work to do." "oof, don't remind me."
"should i go out? i shouldn't ... right? i'm just too bored. i don't have a phone so i can't text people and i also don't have friends so i definitely can't text anyone." hyunjin said debating whether to go outside or not. "i'm going out. i don't care." and out he went. forgetting he didn't have a way to get back into the apartment but he'll figure that out eventually. he walked through the streets of seoul, many girls and boys kept staring at him since he was a good looking young man. he went to han river and stayed there for a few hours just looking at everything around him. "when does minnie get home? was it 8pm?" he asked himself but then he remembered he didn't know how to read time. "i think i should get going then." he knew he was forgetting something but didn't quite know what. and as he was about to open the door to the apartment.
"wait i don't have a key." well, now he figured it out.

When the Sun Sleeps in Canto Bight [5]
Previous Entire Work CHAPTER PLAYERS
The Knights of Ren: Ushar, Cardo, Trudgen, Ap’lek, Vicrul aka “Vic”, and Kuruk) Kylo Ren, Leader of the Knights of Ren Ruby Girard, The Beautiful Singer CHAPTER CONTENT N*FW -| Sexual content; mention of sex work; alcohol; language; back-story Additional Notes: Galactic Standard Calendar | 1920s Stockings, Tights, Nylons, Socks History by Vintage Dancer (scroll down to see how women of color (particularly Black women) wore their stockings) Word Count: 2,721
“I don’t get it. You fuck ‘em good, you give ‘em money and nice clothes—put ‘em up in a nice place, and they still aren’t satisfied. If I was a broad, I would be a-fuckin’ okay,” Ushar said, leaning back in a chair and smoking a cigarette. “She wants the ring, man. She wants the ring,” Cardo said. He was cleaning his gun. “Well, I’ve got a damn wife! Shit!” Ushar proclaimed. The Knights of Ren—all but Kylo, Vic, and Kuruk—were sitting in office of The Garden Lounge—their flagship establishment for over thirty years. It was a placed that lived up to its name: beautiful plant décor in the lounge; sky blue walls and plush brown carpeting—girls dressed in just enough to not be obscene, but just a little to remind you of “nature”, if you will. Vic was out front entertaining guests and Kuruk was manning the office. Trudgen was leaning against the teak-wood desk, downing a glass of whiskey, while Ap’lek was stretched out across the chaise. Finally, Kylo came in.
“Evening, fellas,” Kylo said. “Evening,” they responded. “Where’s Vic?” Kylo asked as he sat behind his desk. “Minglin’,” Ap’lek answered. “Do you have your fuckin’ shoes on my couch?” Kylo asked. Ap’lek sat up and planted his feet on the floor. “Sorry, Boss.” “What’s goin’ on with the wife?” Kylo asked Ushar. He shook his head. “Wife’s fine. It’s the other one that’s bein’ a fuckin’ brat,” he responded. “Why don’t you get rid of her?” Kylo asked, organizing things that didn’t need organizing on his desk. “Pussy’s too good, man.” The Knights chuckled. “Can somebody get—” Kylo started. At that moment, Vic walked through the door and left it open. Kuruk stood outside but stayed close enough to the office to hear what was going on. Vic sat beside Ushar, and Trudgen sat beside Ap’lek on the sofa. Kylo looked up at Kuruk and waved him in. “Come on in, Kuruk. Nobody’s gonna barge in here,” he said. Kuruk nodded, closed the door, and leaned against the wall beside it. “What’s goin’ on, fellas? Ap’lek, anything you wanna discuss?” Kylo asked. “Nope.” “I hear the Kesyk gang’s got a hold of some new toys. Automatic. Fast,” Cardo chimed in. “What makes ‘em special?” Kylo asked. “Faster. More precise. Lightweight,” Cardo answered. “Interesting. Look into it. How’s tricks?” “Steady,” Ushar answered. “The johns are startin’ to get a little bold, though. One of ‘em got a little rough with Hela and she cut him.” “Why can’t these bastards shoot their fuckin’ nut and leave?” Kylo asked. “How’s Hela?” “You know her. She’s cool but she said she’ll do it again,” Ushar answered. “As she fuckin’ should.
“Yeah, but--you think that would drive men away?” Ushar asked. “These fuckin’ johns would step over alligators to get some ass. And they know we’ve got the best fuckin’ girls and guys in Canto Bight. If they act like they have some sense, they ain’t gotta worry about nobody pullin’ no fuckin’ blades on ‘em.”
Ushar shrugged in reluctant agreement, and Vic smiled to himself.
The booze?” Kylo asked.
“Booze is flowin’. Hearin’ more complaints from South Side, though,” Vic answered. “They still waterin’ the shit down?” Kylo asked. “No. This time they’re puttin’ in too much,” Vic answered.
“People goin’ in for a couple of drinks and walkin’ out eatin’ the fuckin’ concrete,” Trudgen chimed in. He polished off his whiskey. “Fuckin’ idiots. I guess the only thing we can do is give them a fuckin’ recipe book or somethin’,” Kylo said. “Anything else goin’ on?” “Nope/No, boss,” the Knights said in unison. Vic cleared his throat. “There is one thing. Ren’s cousin reached out to me,” he said. “Sheev? That fuckin’ weirdo. What does he want?” “He was very vague. Said he wanted to discuss business and his “retirement”. Said to swing by the Death Star anytime. I was thinking Primeday? Around 2?” Vic suggested. “No can do. Got plans on Primeday. Centaxday. Afternoon.” Vic nodded. **********************
PRIMEDAY
Kylo had spent the afternoon before dreaming up the perfect Primeday dinner. Everything usually closed or closed early on Primeday, so he had to think fast. Once he got an idea, he made his list and headed out to the markets—the butcher for lamb chops; the produce vendor for potatoes, mushrooms, lemons, and carrots. He’d even snatched a bottle of wine from the Garden Lounge’s inventory, and bought a chocolate cake from the bakery. Ruby agreed to be picked up at three.
When Kylo pulled up at about 2:55, Ruby stood outside her building wearing another pink dress, blue baby doll heels, white stockings, and holding a white clutch in her hand. Thick curls peeped out of her white cloche hat. As she walked to the car, he climbed out and lifted his hands. “What the fuck are you doing?” he asked. Ruby froze. “What?” “You’re supposed to wait for me to come to your fuckin’ door,” he said. Ruby shook her head and kept walking, and he walked toward her. She looked him over—his tall figure dressed from head to toe in black: black trousers, black shirt, black vest, black oxfords. “I just thought it would be more convenient for me to wait outside for you,” she fibbed. Truth was, she didn’t want Crystal sizing him up and asking him questions. Kylo took her hand and led her to the car.
Kylo had called Ruby’s building a dump. His building was nice, but so lifeless and empty. No art on the walls; no flowers. His own apartment was similar. Clean. Very clean and neat. But no art. No colorful accents to catch your eye. He had a gramophone but owned no records. At least he had a radio. After he’d poured her a glass of wine in his tiny kitchen, she’d taken it upon herself to go into the living room and turn it on. Then, she got a better look at the place—no pictures. Just a burgundy couch that appeared to never have been sat on and a dining table with only two chairs in the corner. “You gonna leave me in here by myself, Babydoll?” Kylo called from the kitchen. Ruby smiled and walked back into the kitchen. Kylo had taken off his vest and rolled up his sleeves. He was standing over his stove, putting potatoes into a pot of water. Then, he went into the icebox and pulled out a thick piece of brown paper—stuffed with something. Ruby leaned against the counter and watched him work, trying to bite down a smile. “Tell me about yourself,” he requested. Ruby took a sip of her wine. “You first.” She saw his chest rise and fall, trapping a chuckle. “What do you wanna know?” Ruby thought back to the things Crystal told her. Where to start? Why did he call himself Kylo Ren if he was a Solo? An Organa? She chose to point at the most intriguing target. “Did you try to kill your father?” she asked. Kylo dropped pieces of meat into a bowl he’d filled with water. “I didn’t try to kill him. We got into a fight. He was winning. I pulled a knife on him to scare him off.” Ruby’s jaw dropped. “Oh…” Kylo didn’t continue. “May I ask what the fight was about?” Kylo sighed. He grabbed a bottle of vinegar from his cupboard and poured some into the bowl.
“I’d been out with some friends. Fuckin’ around. Stayed the night with some br--some girl--and didn’t come home until the next morning. I was 18. Thought I was a man. My dad wouldn’t let me inside. Told me I was falling to the Dark Side...that I needed to repent and start coming to sanctuary with him, yada-yada-yada. I told him to shove his sanctuary up his ass and we just started brawlin’ in front of the neighbors.” “So, you’ve always been a little smart mouth,” Ruby joked. Kylo laughed. “Not always. I was just tired of people telling me what to do.” Ruby put her wine glass on the counter, grabbed the edge, then lifted herself to sit high. Then, she yanked off her hat and fluffed her hair. “What did your mom have to say about all of this?” she asked. “She did what she usually did. Defended me in front of him. Because she hates him just as much as I do. But told me how much of a disappoint I was to her behind closed doors.” Ruby’s watched Kylo move about in silence--moving the meat around in the bowl. Everything was making sense. The typical tale—poor little rich boy, rebellious and angry. He glanced at her, then avoided her sympathetic stare--placing his eyes on the pot of boiling potatoes instead.
“I’m sorry you went through that,” she said. He shrugged and washed his hands.
"Eh. I’m over it. It was a long time ago,” he said. He dried his hands on a towel, then poured himself a glass of wine. “Your turn,” he said as he poured.
“What do you want to know?” Ruby asked, echoing him. “Tell me about your parents.” He rested his hip against the counter and took a sip.
“I think…my mom is essentially your dad,” she said with chuckle. “Everything is dark-sided to her. Singing about anything unrelated to the gods. The radio. Picture shows. Lipstick. She didn’t have to put me out. As soon as I turned 18, I was outta there.” Kylo listened to Ruby speak, but found himself getting lost in her--her hands that moved with every word she said; brown legs that lifted by the knee when the edge of the counter started cutting off her circulation. Even when she talked, there seemed to be a melody in her voice. She spoke highly of her father—apparently he was a laid-back and funny man—and she justified her mother’s puritan ways by admission of her being protective and caring. “So, mom wouldn’t think too highly of me, huh?” Kylo asked. “Oh, she’d probably melt into a puddle, she’d be so incensed,” Ruby said with a laugh. She guzzled the remainder of her wine. Ruby’s laugh made him smile. He tapped his fingers against his wine glass. “What does Ruby think about me?” he asked. A stillness fell over her. She stared at Kylo’s face—dark eyes boring into her; long waves draped over the side of his face as the result of a side part. Her eyes fell onto the stitches on his cheek, then back at his irises. “I think you’re impulsive and hot-headed,” she said. Kylo rolled his eyes and smirked. “…and passionate. Maybe even loyal...in search of something…” Potatoes began to knock against each other in the pot. Kylo stared into Ruby’s eyes, then at her painted lips. They parted just a centimeter, as though tired of being pressed together. Tired of not being touched. Kylo leaned in close and stopped. Ruby traveled the rest of the space and pressed her lips to his. He moved to stand directly in front of her and held the nape of her neck, pulling her closer as she rested her hands on his waist. He stopped kissing her but didn’t pull his face away. “You want me to stop?” he asked breathlessly. His heart was pounding and he silently prayed that she said “no”. “No,” she said. Kylo pressed his lips back against hers and ran his hand up her thigh. She held the back of his neck and deepened their kiss—pushing her tongue into his mouth. He let her tongue in, and the hand that was on her neck, moved up to grab a handful of her curls. Ruby moaned into his mouth and opened her knees. The feeling of Ruby’s knees moving against him made Kylo stiffen. His hand moved further up her thigh, and in between them. He slipped two fingers past the seat of her panties and rubbed them against her outer lips. Then, he rubbed his way to her warm core and pushed them inside. Ruby pulled her face away and rested her head against the cupboard. Her eyes were wide. “Your fingers are big,” she said with shock in her voice. Kylo smiled and kept fingering. He pushed her left knee open some more, then watched her face crinkle. She closed her eyes and bit down on her lip—allowing ecstasy to overtake her. Then, he stopped fingering her and bent at his waist. Just as he did so, the water on the stove began to boil harder. He jumped up—annoyed at the stove for doing its job—turned the burner off, yanked Ruby’s panties down, and put them in his pants pocket. Then, he pushed back the skirt of Ruby’s dress. She tilted to the left to lift the right hem, then tilted to the right to lift the left—revealing the hooked garters that pressed into her fleshy thighs and held her nylons up. She let the bottom of her dress bunch at her waist.
Kylo stared at her vulva—everything. The lips; the slit leaking from its top and probably down to her core with arousal; the brown rosebud that was fighting to be seen. Ruby pressed her palms against the counter and opened her legs more. Kylo smirked. “Anxious?” he asked. “Yes. I am,” she answered—breath loud, hot, and sure. Kylo bent at the waist and turned his body to the side. He dipped his head between Ruby’s inner thighs, and without hesitation, rapidly flicked his pointed tongue against her clit. Ruby cried out and grabbed a handful of his hair, moaning as he lapped her up. He didn’t abandon an inch of her—tongue venturing around, over, and inside of her—causing her to grind against his face. With a mouth full of pussy, he stared up at her, ego steadily growing with every squirm, every twitch of her brow and every bite of her lip. When he stuck his fingers back inside, she tightened her grip against his scalp and finally looked down at him. The sight of him looking up at her with darkened eyes made her own eyes close again, but he put space between his lips and her flesh. “Look at me when you come,” he said. A chill went down Ruby’s spine and she looked down into Kylo’s eyes. He inserted a third finger and massaged her walls as he sucked and ravaged her clit. Suddenly, he felt her contracting over his fingers. Her jaw dropped and a strained sound left her throat. Then, she let out an endless high-pitched moan and tried to pull away from his lips—but Kylo didn’t stop until his tongue absorbed the very last drop of her sweet cum. She fell backward and rested her head on the cupboard again—loud breaths filling the quiet of the kitchen. Barely giving her a minute, Kylo peeled her off the counter and tossed her over his shoulder—making her squeal as if she were on an amusement ride. He carried her to his bedroom and dropped her onto his bed. He pulled off her shoes, then pulled at the buttons of his vest. Ruby sat up, pulled her dress over her head, unclasped her bra, and tugged at the hook on her right garter. “Keep those on,” he said. He stared at her thighs and licked his lips.
Ruby moved her hand and fell back. She watched Kylo get completely naked. She barely got a good look at him before he was on top of her, planting kisses against her neck. He grabbed her right leg and pressed it back so that her knee was over her chest. Shortly after, she felt something warm and stiff rubbing against the outside of her core—it pressed into her, and the pressure sent a wave throughout her entire body. “Fuck…” they whimpered at the same time. Then, they chuckled. Kylo kissed her lips and inhaled her moans as he pushed more inches into her. He caught her grabbing the blanket in his peripheral, and slowly penetrated her until he couldn’t go any further. “You okay?” he asked. “Yes,” she strained to answer.
He grabbed her left hand and placed it over the meatiest part of his waist. Then, he dragged out of her, and drove back in. He held on to her right thigh, the leg still pushed back, and dipped in and out of her—fast enough to please, but slow enough for the both of them to feel their lover’s every twitch and pulse, and grip and stroke.

“Mom? Mom, wake up.”
Mary stirred under the scratchy motel covers and turned onto her back. Dean was sitting on the edge of the bed, a cup of coffee in one hand.
“Hey, Dean.” Her voice was cracked from a night full of crying and her head pounded like there was no tomorrow. “How’d you sleep?”
Dean shook his head, cast his eyes to the ratty carpet at his booted feet. “Didn’t. I was worried.”
“About what?” Mary sat up and gingerly took the cup from him.
“You.” Dean bowed his head. “Sam, I just… I didn’t think he’d show up, Y/N, his wife, she said that they stay inside when there’s a full moon, they don’t leave the house.”
Mary sipped carefully at the steaming brown liquid. Her eyes were still itchy and stung whenever she blinked. “You didn’t tell me he was a werewolf, Dean. Why?”
Again, Dean looked at the floor. “I know, and I’m sorry. I didn’t want you to know… he’s scared of people knowin’ about what he is.”
Sighing, Mary stood, placing the cup on the bedside table. “I want to see him. Today.”
“Mom, I—”
“I’m not going to argue, Dean,” Mary responded firmly. “I want to see my son.”
He nodded. “All right… I’m gonna give him a heads up, though, all right? Tell him we’re coming by.”
Mary nodded and walked slowly over to the bathroom. As the door clicked shut and locked, Dean thought he heard her start crying again.
***
Sam was getting more and more anxious by the second. He had showered again, dressed in a pair of light blue jeans and his favorite blue flannel, and he kept fussing over the part in his hair, trying to keep it as straight as possible. Unfortunately, he kept messing it up due to his nervous tic of running his fingers through his hair over and over again.
“Sam, calm down, it’s gonna be fine.” You stepped in front of him as he spun around to start pacing again. He ignored you and simply walked around, aiming directly for the opposite wall. When he turned around and headed back towards you, you were ready for him.
“Y/N—” Sam exhaled sharply as you pulled him down and kissed him, giving a brief and playful suck on his lower lip. He cupped your face, parting his lips as he pulled back. “Baby, I’m fine, I’m just nervous.”
“I know.” You replied, fiddling with the newly repaired part in his hair.
Sam sighed as you gently combed your fingers through the thick, brown locks and closed his eyes. “I don’t know what to say to her.”
“Just be yourself,” you ruffled his hair and listened to him groan in irritation. “She’s probably nervous too, Sam, hell, everyone in this room is gonna be nervous. Just act normal, okay?”
“But she knows I’m… that I’m not human,” Sam replied, “it’s been three years, but…”
You shook your head and smoothed out a crease in his shirt. “It’ll be okay, Sam. Everything’s gonna be okay.”
Sam smiled tightly, leaned in to kiss you again, his hands at your waist. “How in the world did I get lucky enough to have an Omega like you for a wife?”
You blushed and wound your arms around his shoulders. “I don’t know. Would it be bad if I called it being in the right place at the right time?”
He shrugged. “I think it’s one of the best things that’s ever happened to me.”
Just as Sam was about to pull you into an even deeper kiss, the low rumble of the Impala’s engine echoed in the drive. Sam stiffened and looked towards the door, his eyes wide with what looked like complete terror.
“Hey.” You cupped his face in both hands and forced him to look at you. “We are gonna do this together, okay? You can do this, there’s nothing to be afraid of.”
Sam nodded and gently rubbed the back of your head, massaging his fingers in long, slow circles. “I can smell her.”
“You’re not gonna bite, Sam,” you whispered calmly. “Come on, let her in, act normal.”
Three hesitant knocks echoed through the room, and you listened to Sam take a low, shuddering breath. He stepped to the door, stretched his arm out, hooked his fingers over the doorknob, and turned it.
The minute he saw his mother, it was like time stopped. She looked up at him. He looked down at her. Both you and Dean stared at them, bodies tense and locked as you observed mother and son seeing each other clearly for the first time in thirty years.
“Sammy?” Mary’s voice was quiet and low.
It took Sam a few seconds to come up with something to say. “Hey… mom.” He stepped back, allowing her to walk inside. Dean followed close behind, slowly patting his brother on the shoulder as he passed. Mary saw you standing in the middle of the living room and smiled kindly, if a bit awkwardly.
“Hello, Y/N.”
“Nice to meet you, Mary.” You held your arms out, welcoming her into a hug. She smelled like Jasmine and something a little sweet that you couldn’t name, and you inhaled deeply, memorizing the scent for the future.
“We’ll give you two some space.” Dean nodded towards you, silently telling you to follow him to the kitchen. Sam turned to face you as you went, and you brushed a comforting hand over his arm as you left.
Mary tucked her hands into her pockets as she turned to face her son. She was able to really see him now; tall, muscular, powerful. He had thick, wavy hair that curled about the nape of his neck, it was the same dark shade as his father’s had been. His hazel eyes were watery, and his lower lip was caught between his teeth as if to stop it from trembling. He has my eyes, she thought, my boy has my eyes…
“Sam,” she said his name again, just a whisper. “I know you must have a lot of questions…”
He shook his head. “Not really, no… I just…” he bit his lip, turning on the spot to look over his shoulder as he brushed a hand under his eyes. “I just wanna apologize.”
Mary frowned. “For what?”
Sam held his arms out to his sides. “This. Me being… y’know, what I am…”
“Sam, I’m not blaming you.” Mary shook her head. “Dean told me, you got bit, you couldn’t be cured, that isn’t your fault.” She held out her hand, as if to touch him, then withdrew it when he flinched. “I didn’t expect to see you last night.”
Sam couldn’t stop the choked breath that escaped him. “I know, I, uh… I wasn’t expecting to see you either…”
“You saved us, Sam.” This time, Mary didn’t pull her hand back when she reached out for him. “Come here.”
Sam walked towards her, slowly, like he was approaching an animal that might lash out at any second. When she wrapped her arms around her neck, he let the tears fall, closing his eyes and wrapping his arms around her back. He had to stoop a little to get his arms fully around her, but it was one of the best feelings he’d ever experienced.
The hug must have lasted for a good couple minutes, because when they pulled apart, Mary’s cheeks were wet with tears. She wiped hurriedly at them and sniffed. “You seem happy,” she commented, looking around at the cozy, mismatched living room.
“Uh, yeah.” Sam cleared his throat. “Yeah, I’ve got Y/N to keep me grounded, I still go out on hunts with Dean sometimes.” He swallowed. “Y/N and I are gonna try for a pup.”
Mary furrowed her brow. “Pup?”
“It’s uh, our version of a baby,” Sam clarified, slightly embarrassed, “when two werewolves have a baby, they call it a pup.”
His mother grinned through her tears. “Really?”
Sam chuckled and blushed, shoving his hands into his pockets. “Yeah, we decided last night.”
“Wow,” Mary ran her fingers through her hair, “Sam, I… I don’t know what to say, I never expected… well, this.” She gestured around her. “I don’t care what you are, Sam. I care about what you’ve done with your life and how happy you are. You’re still my little boy.”
Sam felt his cheeks burn. “Well… not so little anymore.”
Mary laughed and reached up to ruffle his hair. “Not at all. I don’t know how you got so tall.” She tucked her hands into her pockets. “But you’re happy, and Y/N seems… well, she seems like an amazing woman.”
“She is,” Sam replied, looking back over his shoulder at the kitchen. “She really is.”

Mini’s day out . (Mini series)
“You’re making it seem like I can’t take care of a baby !”
Brianna and Erik argued back and forth about Mini. It was the first time the two of you had alone time since she was born. Brianna agreed to watch her for the night while the two of you went on a much needed date . It had been seven months , seven long crybaby , poopie diaper changing months .
It was something about the way Brianna held her , it set Erik off . He felt like she didn’t put enough “care” into it as he explained . Overprotective couldn’t put a dent in his behavior.
“You gotta play music , or else she won’t go to sleep . If she cries too much , call me and I’ll come get her” Erik went on and on with his daddy rules . Brianna was only taking her for the night, hours to be exact, and the two of you would pick her up early in the morning . She was fighting herself from mentioning the whole Jamaica fiasco . Even though you took him back , Brianna still had him in the dog house .
“You know CPR?” He questioned, Brianna laughed but she stopped once she realized he was serious .
“Girl , come down here and get your man!” She yelled loudly . You heard her , but you were busy squeezing your feet into your black daffodile heels.
“Erik!” You yelled , in that parental tone you were mastering . “Brianna sees her almost every day, she knows what to do “ your voice and steps became more prevalent as you walked down to the living room .
Erik took a moment to look at you , for a little longer than normal . He hadn’t seen you this way in a long time . Hair down, make up on and a tight dress . It was the heels that got to him, turned on by the muscle flex in your calves . Erik took note to make you wear the heels in the bedroom later tonight .
Once you noticed the way he was looking at you , a look of fluster took over your face . “What?” You said shyly, as if you were a teen and he first laid eyes on you .
Erik smirked and grabbed Mini’s diaper bag to give to Brianna .
“Oh, so now you trust me” Brianna snatched the bag and held it obver her shoulder . She saw exactly how Erik was looking at you .
“Nah, You good” Erik spoke to Brianna lowly, while still looking at you . Usually a look like that ended up with you laid out on your back, with his head between your legs .
“Help Brianna put the car seat in her car” you directed. You gave Mini a couple of kisses on her face before she left. Erik did what you said and walked with her to her car . You went in search for a jacket and purse . As soon as you found the right combination, Erik came back in .
“We’re gonna go get this food, and then...” he dragged on
“And then what?” You asked, gawking at him . He looked so handsome in his denim coat and Cartier’s . You could smell the Tom Ford cologne that you loved .
“And then I’m fucking the shit out of you when we get back”
You walked over to him, wrapping your arms around his waist . Your body pulled closely to his as you looked up at him .
“All around the house ? “ You asked , the both of you wanted to take full advantage of being baby free tonight . That included the blunt filled with the sour skittles strain that Erik pulled from his pocket .
“Where you want it?” His eager hand cupped and massaged the center of your ass. “You want some dick on the couch? “
“Not on my couch” You hissed , it was still fairly new.
“You want this dick on the counter, is that good for you?” He squeezed your ass tighter, getting a feel of your pantied lips inbetween his fingers .
“Yeah, I want it there “ You inched on your toes to give his lips a kiss . Erik then placed the blunt to his lips , took the lighter from his pocket and sparked it .
“How about the roof, can we fuck on there too?” He inhaled , voice groggy and deep from the smoke .
“As long as you don’t drop me , daddy”
Erik groaned and slapped your ass hard, you squealed and kissed him again. He loved when you called him that . If he had it his way, he’d eat you for dinner. But he was actually hungry and so where you . After the both out you were good and high , you and Erik lead off to dinner . Plus, the munchies were kicking in.
Erik drove to the restaurant . It was one he had reserved a month ago. It was that exclusive . It was an upscale steak restaurant , something that both of you loved . The hostess found the reservation and led the both of you to a semi-secluded table .
The waitress came in an instant with water and suggestions. Erik ordered two appetizers for the table and red wine was served early. The waitress left to put the orders in, but not after assuring she would be back for a moment to take the main courses.
Your stomach began to growl, so much so that Erik heard it . It sounded like gas, which caused him to laugh loudly. He reached over to rub your belly.
“I’m so hungry babe” you complained , you grabbed the napkin wrapped butter knife, and spread a generous amount of butter across the complementary bread .
“I’m gonna feed you , just hold on” he continued to laugh at you.
You closed your eyes as you chewed the bread, it was soft and warm. Those munchies . It seemed as if the waitress took ages to come back with more wine and the appetizers. The both of you began to indulge it all of its goodness .
“I’ll come back and take your orders-“ the waitress began to trail off but the loud “No!” from you and Erik stopped her . His mouth full of Calamari dipped in a cream sauce , he began to speak .
“We ready now, let’s do this” he clapped his hands and spoke as if it was a sporting event, the both of you laughed .
“What would you like sir?” The waitress asked .
“I want this ribeye, cooked medium well. A side of mashed potatoes and throw in an order of the lobster Mac and cheese” Erik let out in one breath .
“Baby, you need some vegetables too “ the mom in you complained at the amount of starch he ordered . You almost spit out your wine when you heard him order a side of deep fried okra.
“You said get a vegetable, you ain’t say shit about how it was prepared “
“You right “
The two of you continued to laugh . The waitress was getting irritable , both of you noticed ... but it was only motivation for the two of you to activate the obnoxious behavior even more .
“I would like to order the Cajun pasta , with another side of fried okra and can you bring more bread please?” You closed your menu and handed it to the waitress .
“You sure you want two sides of the Okra, the portions are enough for both of you “ she warned . Erik blinked quickly , held his chest and pretended to be appalled.
“Baby, I think she calling me fat” You whispered, loud enough for the waitress to purposely hear .
“No, that’s not what I’m saying . I just- are you sure you want two ?” She spoke frantically, truly worried that she offended you.
“I’m sure , bring us two”
“And make sure you bring more bread, cause I’m really hungry Madame ” Erik spoke with a French accent and gave her his menu too.
The two of you obviously feeling the effects of the potent red wine and weed, the laughter wouldn’t stop . Even more as the annoyed waitress scattered away from the table .
“I hope she doesn’t spit in our food” You took another generous gulp of the red wine .
“I miss doing shit like this , we used to be on some crazy shit before we had the baby” Erik reminisced.
“Remember after the club, when you skipped out on the bill at Denny’s and you almost left me there !”
“I told you to follow me”
“I was so scared , I didn’t think you would actually do it “ You sat in silence, still eating from one of the many plates in front of you . Erik couldn’t help but laugh .
“I didn’t actually skip the bill , I snuck and paid it. I did it to scare you , to see if you was really down for me “
“Seriously!” Your voice raised an octave higher as you kicked him under the table . “You wanted to see if I was down to what , follow you in the life of crime?”
Erik continued to laugh as he rubbed his shin, it was sore from where your heel landed .
“I just - just wanted to see if you’d do it for me, that’s all “ he softened in his chair , speaking sincerely now . That date was in the early stages of the relationship, back when Erik first began to have real feelings towards you .
“Well , did I make the cut?” You smirked invetween another bite . Knowing exactly how much of Erik you had wrapped around your finger .
“Yeah, but only because...” he began to speak , but stopped as if his sentence was complete.
“Because of what ?” You reacted , eager to hear his next words . He smiled at you again, a real hard smile that made the apples of his cheeks poke out . “Baby?”
“Wassup?” He answered blatantly, then followed it with complete silence again.
But it was all good . Really good. In fact , almost perfect .
The both of you kept eating , laughing at each other just because you were happy. And intoxicated . Sure , other guests were bothered by the loudness but it didn’t matter to either one of you . It didn’t matter . You could be shameless with Erik, and he with you . Guards were always down and words were always pure .
“I love you “ you said , not even bothering to look at him. It rolled off your tongue so casually with the wine .
“I love you too”
The waitress brought over the rest of dinner , and refilled the wine glasses . Within moments Everything was shared and eaten . Erik didn’t even get upset when you ate half of his steak .
“Would the two of you like dessert, you can take it to-go also?” The waitress later asked , with a subtle hint of shade in her voice .
“Y’all got cheesecake?- I mean, y’all got cheesecake , Madame? ” Erik asked her, all the while leaning back in his chair and spreading his legs . The itis was creeping up to take over both of you .
“Hell no, you know you get gas and I don’t feel like dealing with it tonight “ you protested , Erik and dairy were a match made in hell .
“We have chocolate cake , pecan pie, br-“
“Bring us the cake to go and the check “ you told her .
She brought everything, the two of you made your way to Erik’s car after He paid . Erik gave you the keys, claiming that he didn’t feel like driving . He sat in the passenger seat and took a long breath , trying to regain focus . The truth was, the red wine had taken him down. He was just too prideful to admit it . A man, like him , was drunk off wine ? He was embarrassed.
You knew him well . And you were an advid wine drinker , you could handle it . The drive home was smooth , just the sweet act holding of hands and the low bass filled music playing through the speakers . You and Erik both thought it would be weird coming home to no baby . Erik admitted outloud that he was happy about the empty house , even if it was only for a night .
In the bedroom He wasted no time undressing . With nothing on but his smirk , he rested on the bed watching you . Fully clothed , you told him you needed to go to the bathroom .
“Hurry up “
You rolled your eyes and went into the bathroom . You undressed in front of your mirror. The pink lingerie set fit your body a little snug , the baby weight had not left yet . Neither did the small stretch marks Mini gifted you .
“Leave them heels on!” Erik yelled through the door . You laughed and slipped your feet back inside of them. Thank god you’d be on your knees and back most of the night , your feet would kill you otherwise .
“Come on baby, I need that big ass” his tone was low , almost as if he was begging.
You turned your body for a side view, watching your belly poke out . You sucked stomach in , remembering the pre-baby look.
Erik didn’t care , he made it evident that he loved you and your body . It was your own personal insecurities taunting you . You gave yourself a mental pep talk and left the bathroom . Erik’s back was facing the door as you crept towards him.
You heard the unthinkable.
Erik was snoring .
You took off the heels and got in bed with him. Your arms cradled around his waist and your face nuzzled into his back . You thanked god in that moment . Not for giving you Erik , but because you were just as tired as him . The itis had fully taken control .

To say that everything went pretty well after Billy dipped out like that, that would an utter lie. Things got even worse after that day.
When the doctor confirmed that Raven was indeed pregnant, about a month and a half to be exact; the look of shear disappointment on her mothers face made the young teenager hang her head for the rest of the silent car ride home. There were three choices she was given; get an abortion, keep the baby, or give the baby up for adoption.
She chose keeping the baby, of course she understood that this doesn't just change her life, she kinda had to make that decision with or without Billy Hargrove. Raven Henderson could never bring herself to end a innocent babys life.
With the relief that she'd have alone time in her room, they were met by Mr. Henderson who sat on the stairs with Dustin.
Claudia Henderson had told her ex-husband the unexpected news.
"He's pissed, isn't he?"
Her mother pulled into the garage and turned the car off "he is. I tried to reason with him that you're taking responsibility for this, and not running. And look at me sweetie," doing as told she looked up at her mother "I want you to know, it doesn't matter what he says, I'm proud of you and you're going to br a great mother."
"Thanks mom."
At least one parent supported her. She got a earful of it with her father.
"How could you be so careless? You of all of those punks at that school! Where's the son of a bitch that got you pregnant?"
She couldn't. "I don't know. I was drunk and can't remember the rest of that night."
"Great, I've been gone for what? Six months and this happens. Aren't you suppose to make sure this doesn't happen?" He directed the blame on her mother, and this wasn't her fault.
Her mother always takes the blame, not this time. "Dad, this isn't on mom, I snuck out. I went to the party, I drank, I had sex with a stranger, I got pregnant, I am taking responsibility for this. Stop blaming mom, blame me. I did this to myself."
"You're damn right this is your fault! Now, you're going to go downtown and get an abortion, or else!" Chills ran down her back when he yelled at her. She had idea of what could happen next.
She is keeping this baby "I can't dad, I'm sorry. I didn't even kn-"
"Get your things and get out! Go! Now!" You know when you're expecting that thing to happen but you didn't expect it to hurt that much? It felt as if someone punched her dead center in the chest and replaced that with a big ball of pain.
It left her speechless for a few seconds, and she snapped out of ut when Dustin said something "Dad, please no. Mom, say something please!"
"It's okay Dusty," Raven finally spoke up "Nice to know that the first time dad is around in months is when he's kicking me out," She understood she was burying herself here but he had the nerve to show up all this time to just kick her out of her mothers home. "Don't worry, I'll be out in an hour."
Stuffing everything in her stingray, she stood at the doorframe looking into the empty room; the millions of memories and bad times in this room. The room she's had since she was born. Her childhood is that room.
"You'll still come and see me right?" Dustin observed his older sister move things around in the trunk of her car so she could close it properly.
Once she slammed it shut, she leaned against it as he handed her a small cuddle size teddy bear that had belonged to her until she passed it down to him. Softly taking it in her hands, she gave it a squeeze feeling the corner of her lips tug. Her eyes lifted to meet her brothers sad ones "I'll always come and see you as long as you want me to."
Understanding he could be ashamed of her, she never wants to push herself upon him or make him uncomfortable if he doesn't want to see her. However; Dustin and her actually grew a stronger bond since their parents divorced. Raven has been his, say so, rock he's down about no father show up as he has her a bit grounded when she's getting out of control.
"You're still my sister Raven, and I think of this situation as another member in The Party. I'm excited, my magical powers are predicting it's a boy." A boy? A boy hopefully not like his father at this point.
It doesn't matter, if a boy or girl, they will be loved equally and raised to best of her abilities. "A boy huh? I guess we'll have to wait and see. Stay out of trouble okay?"
"I'll try, you stay out of trouble too," nodding, she pulled him into a tight hug before she got a glimpse of her father in the doorway watching them needing to get out of there. "Go inside, everything will be okay."
He waved goodbye to her as she drove away, everything, it was really really settling in. On her own with no place. No job. Two of which she can control and needs to take control of. The first thing was, she needed to go to the place she knew she could come out with everything.
The Wheelers home.
She stood outside for a long time before she brought herself the courage to knock. Gathering her thoughts together, she rose her fist up and knocked three times before realizing that this was a mistake to come here to ask to stay because she refused to please her father.
Having no time to turn her back, she was welcomed by Mrs. Wheeler who looked like she already began dinner with her very nice cooking apron and her hands preoccupied with a spoon and box of food "Raven! It's nice to see you! Come in, Nancy! Come down! Raven's here!"
Entering the home, she closed and locked the door feeling her heart rate raising by the second "Are you hungry? Foods almost done."
"A little bit," she was actually starving, ha.
Nancy came down the stairs finding her friend in the kitchen area with her mother curious of her presence, who wasn't the only one "Everything okay dear? You're awfully quiet."
"Hey Raven." Nancy entered sitting with her at the island counter.
The pregnant teenager rubbed her hands together taking a deep breath "I actually wanted to tell and ask you something," now about to talk it, her eyes teared up and one tear fell only to be wiped quickly "My, um, dad is back and he kicked me because... Because I'm pregnant. So, I um, wanted to ask if I could stay for a few days, just a few days so I can get things going."
"Of course honey, stay as long as you need. Know the father?" shaking her head with no eye contact, Mrs. Wheeler didn't ask anymore as she was telling Nancy to prepare either her own room or the basement.
As Mrs. Wheeler was finishing up dinner and called her husband to the kitchen to discuss what will be happening, Nancy followed her friend back inside with some of her things, and who dragged her out needing to explain some things to her.
"So you're pregnant? What are going to do?" Nancy hung up some of Raven's things in her own closet, turning around with her hands on her hips.
Raven unzipped her bag grabbing some things actually now able to answer that "I want to finish high school, but I'm missing a few days so I can get a job and find my own place. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate your mothers offer but I have to get my own place. I didn't want to come here but I can't go to Steve's."
"Yeah, I think his parents would frea-""Nancy, I couldn't go to his place because, the father is, um is Billy Hargrove."
She had never seen Nancy's eyes get so wide her life. Seeing her mouth open wide, Raven silently cursed at herself for even putting Billy's name out there; his father freaked out, Billy's reputation would be at risk, and she doesn't want him to be forever tied to her because they've created a child. Thus saying she doesn't know the father is better for everyone.
"You and Hargrove? What the hell Raven?" She silently screamed at her best friend, not understanding how she could even think of that asshole in that WAY!
Truth was, she was an asshole too and Nancy knew it.
"I wasn't thinking, we hooked up at a party. Nancy, you can't tell anyone about Billy, please I'm begging you," Grabbing Nancy's hands and squeezing them, Nancy looked at the fear in her friends eyes and nodded "Not even Jonathan or Steve."
Promising on her own life, Nancy Wheeler couldn't help herself ask "He didn't take it well did he?"
"He took off when I told him the test results. I don't expect him to want anything to do with myself and the baby, it's best for him if he doesn't."
Despite what people thought and said about Raven Henderson; she truly cares for people, even if they don't about her. Billy Hargrove may of thought her as just a girl he banged and is something nice to look at, but doesn't mean he still doesn't have a shot at a bright future. Not like they'll get together and get married. This'll be the hardest thing for her, she's on her own and has to prepare her child.
She can do this. Right?
"I can do this." She whispered to herself to keep herself mentally ready for what's to come next. Feeling Nancy's arm around her shoulder, Raven rested her head against Nancy's shoulder letting out a long deep sigh "No matter what everyone says, you're going to be an awesome mother."

The word got out the next day by first period that Raven Henderson was pregnant thanks to her father blubbering the news to his old coworkers and high school friends that have children of their own Raven's age. Just about everyone knew, and rumors spread that she dropped out of school because her absence.
In those few days, Raven got a serving job at Benny's Diner, and in order to get an apartment, she had no choice but to sell her Stingray that her grandfather have her a few years back and in return, has enough money for the deposit for her place, next months rent, and the necessities she needed.
Her mother stopped by to help her daughter knowing it hurt her with having to sell her grandfathers car, she loved that car, and was sad to see it go. Claudia Henderson brought her daughter some sheets and house items to make things feel more at home.
By the fifth of absence, she returned to school with everyone's eyes on her. The whispers echoed in the hallways and the classrooms as she made her presence back at high school. Grabbing her books from her locker, she felt a presence next to her catching Steve's hopeful smile "How are you doing?"
"I'm okay, just for once don't want the attention." She admitted as she shut her locker walking along side Steve as they headed to Chemistry. He nudged her softly to lift her spirits.
"You probably not, but don't let them get you, you'll be great. This kid will a champ too. "
She sure hoped better than that.
When she entered Chemistry, the entire class was silent when her and Steve came in laughing about his story with the Party at the arcade. The girls of Hawkins High School stared at the teenage girl's stomach seeing she obviously had no bump yet as they snorted whispering words About Raven.
"Hey look, it's the pregnant whore of Hawkins," Carol smirked making Raven's blood boil "if a boy, maybe he'll be smart like his grandfather and leave your ass like your daddy did. It's safe to say that if it's a girl, she'll be as good as a whore as her mother."
This just made Raven exploded, getting up and shoving Carol's back who wasn't all smirks anymore "What? Got nothing to say now? Can't say it to my face bitch? Huh?" Her eyes were nothing but dark blue eyes shooting daggers through Carol.
"Mrs. Henderson! Get back in your seat now, or you'll be sent to the principals office."
Ignoring the teachers request, she kept her eyes on Carol waiting for her to answer "Keep talking shit, I'll kick you little skinny trashy ass, and if you don't think I'll kick yours and anyone’s ass two months from now, five months, or even nine months from now; I assure you I will."
"Harrington, get your bitch." Tommy yelled from across the room as he went to get up, but Billy snickered behind him with some comment about letting Carol get her ass kick.
Raven finally calmed down shaking her head as she pushed off Steve's hand from her shoulder, her eyes never leaving Carol's "You can run your mouth about me as much as you want, but if anything negative about my baby leaves your mouth, I don't have to tell you what'll happen."
"Raven! Principals office right now!"
Peeling her eyes from Carol's, she grabbed her bag and books entering to the office leaving many of her classmates in shock, especially the one boy who kept quiet the rest of the class period deep in thought.

The next two weeks were challenging; it got harder to keep her cool with all the whispering, harder to concentrate, and real hard when it came to not falling asleep in class. That's what was so damn hard, it was seeing that son of a bitch every fucking day, and him treating treating her like every other girl.
9 day streak without getting into a fight or vocal altercation was snapped in half when in the middle of gym, one of the boys that had once admired Raven's unique personality, ran his mouth.
"Hey Raven! I'll be your baby girls daddy. I'll take real good care of her, and make her a real woman." she shoulda kept walking. But she didn't.
Since she obviously couldn't physical be involved in sports, Mrs. Shepard has allowed her to receive credit for the class with walking and small article summaries on sports and health. Nancy had finished her mile run and came back in walking it off alongside Raven with chatter.
"You know, acting like a dick won't make yours any bigger." and she crossed a line.
Bryan small dick Jones was fuming as every single person in the gym laughed including the jokester herself. The only clever thing he could think of was "shut up whore!"
"aww did I hit you were it hurts? Do you need glasses to see the size of it? Will it bring realization?"
She was well over that crossed line in his eyes, as she and Nancy giggled, Bryan was fuming and pushed Raven on the gym wall causing everyone's eyes to be on them once they heard him yelling "You just don't know when to shut your mouth, do you? You better hope that kid of yours doesn't either."
"Not really, nice to know all it takes a few words to get you all rattled u-" the fist connecting to her right cheek completely took her by surprise and immediately after, throbbing pain came along. Taste of blood as her hand flew up to where he hit her as she made eye contact with him.
"Bryan! What the hell are you doing? You okay Raven?" Steve got in between, Raven mumbling "yeah" with anger and embarrassment took over her emotions. Soon as Steve turned away to get Bryan away, Raven said "hey asshole!" re-catching Bryan’s attention, and when he began to turn back to her, Raven punched him back on her cheek with everything she had.
Cursing after, Raven held her hand in her own seeing she ripped the skin, blood of hers and Bryan’s laid on her knuckles as the gym teacher broke them apart "Both to the principals office, um, someone take Raven."
"I got her, let's go Henderson." The voice made her stomach drop when the mullet asshole led her to the hallway, where when they reached it, she pulled away rubbing her arm awkwardly. 14 days since he had said anything to her.
Why the fuck did he offer to make sure she got to the office?
"What happened to your car? Haven't seen it lately." Really? Worried about her car?
Shrugging it off, she answered "I had to sell it."
"Why? You love that car." Jesus Billy.
A bit annoyed, she let out a frustrated sigh, yet continued to answer his questions "Because Billy, my dad kicked me out, so I sold my grandfathers car so I could get an apartment. Why do you even care? You haven't said a word or even looked in my direction for two weeks."
"I don't care, about you anyways, but for some dumb reason, you've decided to keep the kid, why? We're not even together, you're not even m-" "your type, got it. You can't understand, no one will."
Her eyes were fixed forward as she put a couple of fingers in her mouth, pulling them out to see them soaked in blood. He followed her eyes noticing she walking faster, his strides got longer keeping up. He also noted her bloody knuckles before handing her his sweaty gym shirt.
"No thanks, I can take care of myself and another human being." Her stubbornness was irritating him more and more by the second.
She couldn't bring herself to tell him to go away, but he had to.
"Are you even listening to me?" Billy's voice raised grabbing her out of her own head.
Spitting into the closest trash can, she kept walking trying to out walk him. She expected him to catch up, not what he did. In 2.5 seconds, he grabbed her wrist and pinned her back against the lockers with a some anger lingering in his blue eyes "Hey! I'm talking to you!"
"Billy, stay away," She looked elsewhere making sure no one saw him, and when he stepped back confused of her behavior. How could she tell him that? "Just stay away from me, we're going to be just fine."
'we're going to be just fine.' those words echoed through his head as she walked out of his sight..

"Raven, where are your parents?" Principle Anderson asked as Bryan's, Bryan’s Parents, Hopper, himself, and Raven sat in his office.
The nurse was generous enough to wrap up her knuckles after cleaning them, and a ice pack for the forming bruise on her cheek. Sighing, she moved the pack from her fact "I told you that they're not coming, they kicked me out. On my own now."
"Very well, do you want to press charges against Bryan, kid?" Hopper asked surprised by her head shaking.
Her and Bryan made eye contact, he was still a kid, so was she. She shoulda walked away "No, can we just bury the hatchet?"
"Yeah, you okay Raven. Sorry." It may have been a shit apology, but with the pounding pain on her cheek along with the headache coming on, she didn't care.
"Sorry about your face, and what I said." Shaking hands, Bryan left with his parents, and in three, two, one.
Principals voice spoke up "Miss Henderson, this is the second incident, another one and you'll be suspended. You're a great kid, just don't put yourself or your child in a bad place, okay?"
"Yes sir, thank you and I apologize, there's no excuse for my behavior." Being excused, seeing it was already the end of the school day, she headed back to the gym for her things.
"Hey kid!" Hopper called after her, she stopped waiting for him to be along side of her as they walked "Let me give you a lift to Benny's Diner, it's on my way."
Not arguing with that, she met him in the front of the school with her white work clothes, and slid into the passenger seat as she set her duffel bag in the back seat.
It was quiet at first, and Hopper broke it immediately "How you holding up kid?"
"I'll live." She smirked, couldn't help her sarcastic comment getting a smirk back.
She took out her many snacks and ate knowing she had to make time to eat and feed not only herself, but her baby. Glancing at her, he shrugged at least respecting the fact she was eating.
"So your mother was telling me that you got your own place and everything. I'm sorry that your father kicked you out," There was a pause "Look kid, if you need anything, just call. Even if it's something small as what type of diapers are the best." He chuckled getting a giggle and smile from her.
"Alright?"
Munching on her peanuts, she answered "Yeah, thanks Hopper."

After working a 11 hour shift, all it took for Raven to crash after her shower was that heaven like feeling bed. The teenager was curled up on her side snoring like a bear getting the best sleep she has gotten in a while.
Until sounds of tapping glass hit her window causing to stur and wake up. Wiping her eyes with the back of her hands, she kicked her feet over turning on the light. "the hell..." she muttered making her way to the window.
The closer she got, the clearer it was that rocks were being thrown at it. Who the fuck is throwing rocks this late? With one eye open, she opened the window with her head out finally seeing who had showed up.
It was someone she didn't except.
"You gunna let me in doll or freeze to death?"

All I ever wanted was the world
Read it now on AO3 !!
Thanks to @wordshakerofgallifrey for be so kind <3 and to @anastasiaheadcanons because after sending that ask I decided to write the story.
First things firts
When Kate left her apartament five minutes later than in a normal day, she had to run to catch the bus. At her fast steps, she didn’t see the old lady carrying a basket with fruits who was opening her store. The basket fell, rolling on the floor, and leaving a mess of apples that stopped the steps of those who were running to their jobs, and Casey’s mom told him that a good man was one who always helped his neighbor if he had the chance. That’s why he had to stop and help old Livia from the store, but he couldn't catch the last sneaky apple which ran into the street and scared a weak young cyclist who stopped so quickly that jumped from the bike and crashed into a taxi whose driver didn't see the red light because of the man with a cellphone in his hand who kept asking him for directions to the nearby library.
“Someone call an ambulance please!”
People gathered around the young man on the ground who was blinking quickly trying to keep himself conscious. The blue of the sky was hidden behind curious eyes that moved and lips that formed words, but he could not decipher what they said to him. He would be late for his classes, maybe he had to take the bus, did he have to take an exam today? So many questions and he was so tired… Maybe he should close his eyes for a minute.
The blurry faces in front of the man in the floor, went slowly into dark and the last thing he heard was someone asking for his name and the sound of an ambulance.
…
“Okay pretty ladies, get ready quickly. We have rehearsal!”
Lily clapped her hands fast, chasing the girls who, with total laziness, took their bags and walked to the camerino. The only one that was ready was Anya, with her white tutu and ribbon in her hair, she got nothing to envy to the Broadway stars. She was on stage warming-up while the cast was getting ready. So professional, Lily wished that the rest of the cast were like her, always on time and the first ready to perform. Most of the people who performed here did it as a hobby, so they didn't really try hard to make it the best show of their lives.
Seemed like that rehearsal would be a long one. She should take her vacation while she still could, Or sell the theater. Or drink a shot of vodka. Whatever works.
“Anya, why are you wearing your costume?” “I want to get used to moving in it… and I look pretty” This girl… “Okay… Everyone take positions! we start in five!”
Working in a community production was not the big dream that Anastasia had when she was five and decide that one day her name would be in some Broadway production, but at least she was doing what she loved. Even if most of the audience was made up of seniors at the matineé.
And of course, this wouldn’t be permanent. Someday she would be in Broadway oh! she could be in Wicked! or maybe in a new and exciting show. She would wait for her moment. Even if it took ten or twenty years.
Just one shitty production at a time.
…
These 24-hour shifts would be the death of him. His thoughts were not coherent by the end of his shift, and he was pretty sure he'd been staring at the wall of the break room for the past ten minutes without blinking. Dmitry wondered how much longer he could live on a diet of coffee and Red Bull before he had a heart attack. It probably wasn't healthy, but he was a nurse, not a nutritionist.
Just a few hours more and he would be sleeping at his comfy bed till the world collapses (lies, just till Vlad came to make him eat something else than sugar).
“Do you have plans for this Friday?” he needed to talk, or he would fall asleep right then and there. “My sister has a presentation with her company. We are all going to see her as a family to support her penniless career.” Maria was melted on the futon, they started the shift together so she probably was as tired as he was. No judging. “At least she does what she loves” “Hey! I love my job too, but I love sleep more”
Being friends with Maria was easy, even when she came from a crazy rich family that paid for her college tuition and he would be in endless debt for most of his life. Still, they had the same age and they started their internship at ER together. After a few weeks, they spent most of their spare time at the cafeteria sharing experience of the moody doctors and funny stories of the patients. Maria was a breath of fresh air in this shitty work and he couldn’t ask for a best partner.
They were friends.
Kind of.
They don’t usually hang out on their days off why would they? they probably see each other more than they see their families. He didn’t know where her apartment was and he knew a few thing about her family, like she had a bunch of siblings, and she wanted an insane numbers of children. But she was the only one who was friendly with him and didn't make fun of him for being a nurse, and sometimes, they go for a drink when the day was especially awful.
“Come on. I'll get you a Snickers. I need sugar”
Dmitry and Maria were halfway to the cafeteria when the stretcher came in through the emergency door. There goes my food.
Running fast, they caught up with the paramedics. Apparently, a taxi didn’t see the red light. The patient was young. They didn’t know his name yet, and even though the impact wasn't that big, he wasn't waking up.
“He's my brother!” Maria said, almost screaming. “He is hemophilic!”
She was pale and she looked like she would faint in any moment. She was frightened, and of course she was. If her brother didn’t get medical attention quickly, he could die.
Her hands were shaking when Dmitry took her away and led her to an empty room.
“Blood type Maria?” “AB, he is AB.. How did this happen to him?” she looked like she would cry in seconds and right then, he didn’t have time to deal with tears. “Call your family. I’ll be with him. You can’t deal with this in your condition. He is going to be okay, trust me.”
But honestly, he was not sure.
…
On Friday they had their first show, but most of the dancers were stumbling and the lead girl forgot her lines constantly. This was a disaster, why was she even trying?
Lily wanted to scream.
Oh, but she knows why she was doing this, but who cares (she cares). Also, they already had the cast, and the scenery was ready. They sent all of the invitations to the important people and she pulled a few strings, so with a bit of luck, the press would be here, she can’t cancel now. This would be a joke but a joke that she would be proud of, yeah… right.
“Okay okay. Everyone, we are going to have a brief recess, and then we are going to try this again.”
Anastasia’s cellphone had five missed calls when she took it. Maria usually didn’t call when she had shift. That’s weird. And she knew that she had rehearsal today. Weird, weird, weird.
“Hey Lil’s….” but her godmother was at phone looking very pale. What’s going on? “Sweetheart, we have to leave. Now. Go for your stuff, no time to change clothes.”
Her phone started ringing again. It was Olga. Weirder.
She didn’t say “hi” which was unusual because Olgas was the politest person alive, maybe Tatiana could fight the crown. She didn’t say hi, but the words that she heard made her blood cold. It was something about and an accident and Alexei, and honestly, she didn’t care for the rest.
She was running out of the theater before the call ended.
…
Maria’s coffee was cold and her tears were dry now. The surgery started an hour ago and Dmitry didn’t say anything yet. She knew that this took time, but still. IIt was her baby brother in the OR, she couldn't just relax.
The only thing that stopped her to run into the surgery was Olga holding her hand. She had a rosary in her closed fist over her heart. She was praying, just like her mother used to do it. Maria stopped believing in god long time ago, but she found the prayers relaxing. It makes her feel safe and maybe, He was listening.
Lily and Anastasia came together. Her sister was still in her costume and hurried to hug her while Lily stood awkwardly, looking at the people in the waiting room. At least Anya wasn’t crying. She always was stronger than her.
“What happened Mashka?”
What happened? What happened was a stupid driver didn't see the red light, even though red was a pretty obvious color that everyone knew meant stop. What happened was, for ABC reasons, Alexei got scared for an apple... yes, an apple, and he jumped from his bike because obviously that was his only option and he ended up cashing with the taxi. That's what happened. And now he was in surgery.
Half an hour ago, Dmitry ran by with two bags of blood into the OR. He didn’t say a word to her.
Anya didn’t sit with Maria, Olga and Lily. She just walked in the alley. Sometimes on her tiptoes, sometimes not. She’s still wearing her ballet shoes. If she just sat there, everything would be more real and and this can’t be real. She hated hospitals since Alexei born. Most of his childhood was between white walls and the smelt of antiseptic, this can’t be happening again.
But the last time that they came to an hospital was when she had seventeen and that ended with everyone wearing black. Hospitals were only bad news. She didn’t know how Maria could work here.
She didn’t know how they can stay here and just sit until someone br them news.
Lily could use a drink now. Damned hospital with their damned sober policy, and she couldn’t leave either. What kind of ruthless woman would leave these poor children alone? They may not be family by blood, but she had watched them grow. No, Lily could be an alcoholic-ish and moody woman, but she wasn’t ruthless.
She had never been good at dealing with people who were suffering, what could she do? Pat them on their backs? Maybe she could offer to go for coffee or something to eat if the surgery took longer, but for now it was enough to sit next to them and wait.
Still, the damned surgery looks like would never end.
Till it ended.
Maria was the first to get in her feet and rushed to Dmitry, who looked tired but at least he was smiling and yes, he may be an asshole sometimes, but he wouldn’t dare to be an asshole in this situation.
Anastasia hold Maria’s hand tightly and Olga put a hand on her shoulder. They waited for her to make a move, but it wasn’t necessary because exhausted Dmitry was getting anxious and couldn’t wait for her to speak
“I told you he would be fine.” Maria and her sisters felt how suddenly they could breathe again. “Yes, he could have needed blood, but wasn’t too much, it was more for precaution. He had an hemorrhage but the doctors worked quickly so it wasn’t much the damage. I guess, the doctor would be more clear. Now, if you excuse me, I need to move him to his room...” Suddenly, Dmitry looked perplexed to Anastasia for the first time, and then to Maria. “Why does she look like a doll?”
Anya at her side made a little snort while she stand straight crossing her arms over her chest. She looked proud and taller than she really is… Is she up on her toes?
“Because I was in rehearsals, and why do you care?”
Dmitry smiled and Anya mimicked his smile while Maria thought Jesus Christ.
“Come on,” Maria hurried him, taking his arm. “I will help you with Alexei,” she said rolling her eyes. ...
Alexei opened her eyes in a bright white room and felt a bit dizzy. His head hurted a lot and that was the only part of his body that he could actually feel. Everything else was numb and he was thirsty.
He felt like a car crushed him… Wait.
Oh, the apple. Yes. He remembered now. This would be a funny story in the future, but he is pretty sure that he is in trouble now.
His family is going to kill him. Maybe he should back to sleep.
“Look who is awake.”
Or maybe not.
There’s a young man beside his bed. He is smiling even when when he looked like he didn’t slept in days. Maybe he should sleep.
“Who are you?” The guy helped him into a sitting position and wow, now everything hurts and then, approached him a glass of water. Nice guy, Alexei already liked him.
“I’m Dmitry, your nurse” “Nurse? where’s the pretty blond? there’s always a pretty blond nurse in the movies.” “First of all, the only pretty blond that I know is your sister, gross. Second, we are in 2018, men can be nurses, so... let it go.”
Shit, he is in Maria’s hospital. Whatever was the reason she wasn’t here, he knows that at any moment his family will come in the door. For a 21-year-old man, Alexei was a bit scared of his sisters.
“Maria is out there?” “Yes, with an old lady who looked pissed and your sisters.” “Do they look mad?” “Nah, your sisters are just worried. They are talking with the doctor, so they should be here in no time.”
The first came in was Anastasia. She slap his forehead knowing that Olga would scold her (and she did it). Then Olga kissed his face like she did it when he was a child and Lily squeezed his cheeks. Yes, they were just worried, but that didn't stop them from asking questions or Anya from mocking him because seriously Alexei, you gave us the scare of our life just for an apple? such an idiot.
In a corner, Maria was talking with Dmitry. She couldn’t be more grateful to him, seriously. He acted with total professionalism and took good care of her brother when she was a crying mess. Another person probably would scream at her and she would hardly be able to pull herself together, but he was patient and let her be with her family. He was such a good friend. He even offered to stay a few more hours taking care of Alexei while she went to her house to shower and sleep for a couple of hours until she returned to the next day's shift.
She would think of something to return the favor.
“Why you didn’t tell me that your little sister was a prettier version of you?”
Hell no. Not on her watch.
“Because it’s information that shouldn't interest you.”
“Why?!” Dmitry sounded offended.
“Trust me, you are not her type. Actually, she has a really shitty taste in men and you are… you.”
“But I’m a good guy, I could be an improvement in her love choices.”
Seriously… what a day.
“Give me a break. I’m going to finish a few things before I left. We’ll talk tomorrow.”
It wasn’t a no, but a maybe. Still, he probably didn’t have a chance with her sister.

Mexico & Love (Part 6 to Loss & Love)
AU Characters: Emily Prentiss x Spencer Reid x Reader
A/N: So I did a lot of thinking between this morning and now. Someone mentioned not to do the Mexico storyline like it is in season 12. That was my plan. But I really did some thinking and decided not to do it that way. However, I did decide (as it was suggestion so I went with it) to give the reader and Spencer a vacation in Mexico but of course, there is a twist, there always has to be a twist. NO ONE IS GOING TO DIE! MAMA, DADDY, AND BABY WILL LIVE! I SWEAR ON MY LIFE I WON’T KILL OF ANYONE! (except Stephen because well... Writers already killed him off... 😬 😭)

Spencer slid into the kitchen catching the attention of you and Emily. Emily furrowed her eyebrows as she looked at you. “Why in such a rush?” You ask sipping on your coffee. No matter how many times Garcia would take the coffee away from you, you’d just get a new cup. You are now eight months pregnant and nearing your due date in just a few weeks. Spencer and you had planned a rather late babymoon to Mexico before the baby comes. It would have been sooner but cases just kept piling up for Spencer and your job was starting to more crazier the closer your due date approached. You put the CFO in charge once again so you and Spencer could have sometime alone together before the baby arrives.
“I forgot to pick up Henry from school!” He exclaims as he grabs the keys off the kitchen counter. “JJ just called! The school had called her saying that I never showed up, which I didn’t! I’ll be back.” He says before sprinting out of the kitchen. You shake your head and take another sip of your coffee.
“Do you think he’s fully prepared for this baby?” Emily asks.
“Can never be prepared for a baby.” You say rolling your eyes. Setting the coffee cup on the counter you fold your hands in front of you before looking up at Emily. “He’s already baby proofed the house.”
“I mean..”
“Emily, that baby won’t be able to get into anything until she starts to crawl. We have time to baby proof the house.”
“He’s just being careful.”
“Too careful!” You exclaim. “I didn’t even know he baby proofed our bathroom until I tried going this morning! I practically peed myself trying to get that damn thing unlatched.” Emily couldn’t stop herself from laughing. “It’s not funny! You try being eight months pregnant with a six pound baby sitting on your bladder and trying to open the goddamn toilet!” You groan and get off the stool.
“Oh I was just messing with you! Don’t leave!” Emily says laughing. “Come on!”
“I need to finish packing.” You say waddling towards the stairs. “We leave in the morning and we hardly have anything packed.” Getting up the stairs to your bedroom you start going through your clothes trying to find appropriate clothing to wear in Mexico. Can’t really wear short shorts because they won’t button around your waist anymore and you didn’t want to get weird looks from anyone. Once your finished your suitcase and got it zipped, you started working on Spencer’s suitcase when you heard a knock on the door. Looking up you see Henry standing in the doorway. “Hey!” You say flashing him a smile. “How was school today?”
“Boring..” He says walking over to the bed.
“Where’s Uncle Spencer?”
“Downstairs talking with Emily. Said she wanted to talk to him alone.”
“Well how about you help me pack up his clothes while we wait for them to finish talking?” Henry nods his head and starts folding Spencer’s clothing and placing in the suitcase.
“How long will you be gone?” Henry asks.
“Only a week.” You reply handing him a shirt to fold.
“Mom said you’re going to Mexico. Won’t it be hot for you?”
“Shouldn’t be too bad.” You zipping up Spencer’s suitcase. “If we were to bring back gifts, what would you like?” You saw Henry’s eye light up. “What are you thinking lil dude?”
“A snow globe?”
“That’s not what I expecting.” You say giggling. “I’ll do my best to find one for you.”
“I’ll be okay with a t-shirt if you can’t get a snow globe.” He says smiling up at you. You smile back and ruffle his hair.
“Please be safe.” Emily says as she hugs you goodbye. “Call me as you two land, okay?”
“I will make sure to call you when we land.” You say adjusting the strap of your bag on your shoulder. “And when we get to the hotel just to make you happy.”
“Call if you need us.”
“I will.” You say just as Spencer walks over.
“We should get going. Flight’s boarding.” He says.
“I’ll see you two in a week. Seriously, stay safe.”
“Emily.. Breathe. We’ll only be gone a week.” Spencer says laughing before giving her a hug. “Now let’s go. We’re gonna miss our flight.” He says dragging you off.
“I can only go so fast, Spence!” You exclaim laughing.
You stand out on your balcony over looking the ocean. The sun was beginning to set, a slight breeze blew through your hair and the baby kept kicking inside of you. “I promise, you’ll see this one day.” You say giggling rubbing your stomach. You feel a pair of arms wrap around your waist and a couple hands lay on your stomach. You turn your head to see Spencer standing behind you. He smiles down at you before giving you a kiss.
“I love you.” He whispers in your ear.
“I love you too.” You reply turning around to face him.
“Can you believe that we’re going to parents in just a couple weeks?” He says looking down at your stomach. “Our little girl will be here soon.” You look down at your stomach. A smile spreading across your face as you feel her tiny foot kick against your hand. You see Spencer moving down below you and you lift your head to see him down on one knee. “I-I know we said we’d wait until after she was born.. But I couldn’t wait anymore.” He pulls out a box. Inside sat three rings. A wedding set for you and gold band for him. “Let’s get married.”
“Here? Now?” You say. “But Spencer-”
“And I know you wanted a big wedding with our friends and family but let’s do it now while we have the chance and celebrate with them when we get back.”
“So we’re going to elope in Mexico?” You say.
“Well sort of. I got the papers made up and everything with Denise and all we have to do is sign them.” He pulls you inside and over to his suitcase. “I snuck them in before we left just in case we were to go through with it. Once we sign them I just have to bring them back to her and we’ll be legally married. So what do you say?”
“You really want to do this?” You ask him.
“Only if you want. I won’t you do it now. We can still wait if you choose to..” You shake your head and grab his face in his hands.
“I’d marry you anywhere, anytime Dr. Reid.” You say making him smile.
“So that’s a yes?” You nod your head and reach for the pen in his hand to sign the papers. Once you were finished, he did the same.
“So it’s official.” You say looking at him. “You may now call me, Mrs. Spencer Reid.”
“I like the sound of that.” He says planting a kiss on your lips.
Emily sat at her desk going through case files. Oh how she so badly wanted to hop on a plane to Mexico. She knew what Spencer was up to and she wanted to be there for them. Drumming her fingers on the desk top, she leans back in her chair and looks around at the stacks of files. So this is what Hotch had to do deal with all those years. She thought to herself. Picking up her pen again she got back into the work when someone knocked on her office door. Looking up she sees your coworker, Jane, standing in the doorway. A distressed look on her face. Tears threatening to fall. “I-I-I’m so sorry..” She stammers. The tears finally dropping from her eyes. “I didn’t know who she was.. Sh-She just c-came into the store and demanded to see (Y/N). I-I-I told her that she and Spencer went out of town before the baby came. She got angry when I mentioned the baby and threatened to kill me if I didn’t tell her where they went..”
Emily jumps out of her chair and rushes over. “What did she look like?”
“Br-Brown hair.. Short.. Brown eyes. She looked like she hadn’t slept in days..”
“Did she mention her name at all?”
Jane nods her head. “Catherine.. She said she was out for revenge on Spencer... I’m sorry... I shouldn’t have told her..”
“Don’t blame yourself.. You were doing the only thing to keep yourself alive.” Emily says as she holds Jane’s shoulders. “You did what anyone else would have done. We will find them before she does.” Emily adds before running out of the office and over to Rossi’s. “We have a problem..” She says. Her face completely drained of color.
“Hey you’ve reached (Y/N), leave a message!” Garcia hangs up the phone and looks up at Emily.
“Try Spencer again.”
“Emily, I’ve called both of them five times-”
“I said try Spencer again.” Emily says through her clenched teeth.
Garcia nods her head and dials Spencer’s number again. “I figured after the first four times you called, you would’ve have stopped.” His groggy voice spoke over the phone. “What do you want?”
“Spencer!” Emily shouts. “Where is (Y/N)?!”
“Awake now no thanks you two. What’s going on?”
“You need to out of there! Now! Get to the airport as soon as you can!”
“Why?” Spencer says sitting up in bed. “What’s going on?”
“Cat’s on her way to you!” Emily shouts. “Get the fuck out of there now!” Spencer quickly hangs up and jumps out of bed.
“What’s going on?” You ask rubbing your eyes as he puts your shoes on your feet and pulls you up off the bed.
“We have to go.” He says throwing your clothes in the suitcase.
“Go where? Spencer, what’s going on?”
“You remember Cat, right?”
You eyes widen as your hand instantly grabs your stomach. “She’s knows where we are? H-How?!”
“I don’t know, but Emily told us to get to the airport as soon as we can.” He grows frustrated with the suitcases and throws them to the ground. “Forget it. We’ll come back for these later.” He says grabbing your hand and pulling you to the door. Swinging it open he sees a gun pointed at his face.
As if you had slipped in the shower, your whole life flashed in front of your eyes. Nothing seemed real at this moment. You were sure you wouldn’t live to see your baby girl. Your heart raced in your chest as Spencer held on tighter to your hand no matter how hard they pulled your two apart. Spencer’s yelling echoing in your head as you kicked at the man who had you trapped in his arms. You felt as if your cries were just silent and no one could hear a thing. You managed to free yourself from the man and raced back to the hotel room. Slamming the door shut you locked every lock even on the window. Running into the bathroom you locked the door. One thing you learned from middle school lock down drills was how to keep a door latched shut. You tied one of Spencer’s ties around the doorknob and pulled it around to the shower knob tying a tight knot around it. Backing away from the door you came to stop against the back wall. Tears streaming down your cheeks as fear began to paralyze your body.
“What’s going on?!” You hear Cat’s voice outside the door. “Where is she?!”
“She’s got herself locked in there.”
“Wait her out. She comes out you don’t hesitate to shoot.”
“But she’s my sister!” Emily shouts.
“Usted no tiene jurisdicción.” (You do not have jurisdiction.)
Emily groans as she falls down in one of the chairs. Rossi shakes his head as he stands up and walks over to the officer. “I know you speak English and you know I don’t speak Spanish very well so I’m not going to try to be nice and speak your language, so listen up bastard. One of our agents has been kidnapped and his wife could be in danger! A United States Federal Agent is missing! His wife is pregnant both her and the baby will dead and the blood will be on your hands if you let them die! ¿Lo entiendes?” (Do you understand?)
JJ rushed back inside the department as she shoved her phone back into her pocket. “I just got off the phone with Homeland Security, the Director, and IRT. Homeland managed to get ahold of the head of state here in Mexico and they are granting us full access to open a search on Spencer and (Y/N).”
Another officer rushed into the room and began to speak to the head. “Hicimos una búsqueda del agente y su esposa. El personal del hotel informó haber visto a un hombre que llevaba a una mujer embarazada que coincidía con la descripción de la esposa. Dijeron que parecía inconsciente. Intenté detenerlos pero me dispararon.” (We did a search on the agent and his wife.. Hotel staff reported seeing a man carrying a pregnant woman matching the wife's description. They said she looked unconscious. Tried to stop them but got shot at.) Emily lifted her head after hearing every word and got up from her chair. She rushed over to the counter and shoved Rossi to the side.
“¿Ella se veía así?” (Did she look like this?) She asks showing them a photo of you. The officer looks at Emily before nodding his head.
“But why (Y/N)?” Tara speaks up in the SUV. “What does she want with her?”
“She wants revenge on Spencer so she’ll do anything at this rate to make him suffer.” Rossi says.
“Wouldn’t it make sense to go after his mother since her rage has stemmed from her father?” Luke says.
“She sees Diana as collateral damage. She’d go after what he really cares about. Deeper than his parents.. First she’d go for the baby, once she gets her away from Spencer and (Y/N) she’ll kill (Y/N) to get her out of the way and use the baby to screw with Spencer.” JJ explains, wishing she wasn’t gonna be right about this.
“If she lays one hand on the head of my niece I will personally make sure she suffers in prison for the rest of her life.” Emily says as she presses down on the gas pedal.
She knew that once she got her hands on Cat she wasn’t let anything stop her from sending a bullet through her head. No one messes with her family. Especially her unborn niece. She had a feeling something bad was going to happen but she didn’t do anything about it. She trusted Spencer. She knew he wouldn’t do anything to hurt her but instead keep her sister safe at all costs. But she also knew that Cat was stronger than Spencer. She’d do anything to make him suffer even if that meant also hurting the one’s dearest to him as well.
“The police got a hit on the car that took (Y/N).” Stephen says as he puts his phone away. “Said it’s heading out of town, going towards Mexico City.”
“Hold on everybody.” Emily says as she hits the brakes and turns the SUV around.
“Oh gosh..” Garcia gasps as she covers her mouth. “Please be careful, please be careful.”
Quickie but a goodie. Remember what I said above? Yeah.. Remember that.
Anyways, if you liked this one, than please be sure to leave it some love!
Up next is..
Love & Red Light Thank you! :)

Take My Hand
In movies people wake up so blissfully; there’s the sun peeking through unveiled windows and a deep breath from the protagonist. Then eyes open, a full body stretch is thrown in, and they’re up and out of bed onto a great day. But that is not how I was awoken today. After letting me sulk over mine for around for 5 days, my dearest friend and greatest enemy, Leti, thought it was a marvelous idea to not only barge into my room, door bang and all, but also throw open my tightly drawn curtains while yelling, and I quote,” JOSEPHINA GLORIANA ARROYO-CAMPOS! WAAAAAAKE THE FUCK UP!” then as her final performance, adding a perfectly executed pounce onto my sleeping body. “Letiiiiiii,” I groan for the third time since we got into the car,” why are you doing this? I told you I am okay! You don't have to worry about me.” “Bullshit Josie, you may be able to fool everyone else but you can’t fool me,” She said, blowing cigarette smoke outside the cracked open window. “I’ve known you so damn long that I know you’re feelings like they’re my own and my heart is hurting…. so yours must be too.” At her words I looked at her, Leti has always played the bad girl role but her heart is softer than a baby’s blanket. She was right about one thing, she has known me forever. Our mothers were best friends and so it was only natural that we were too or that’s the way they wanted it to be. The truth was Leti and I had grown up fighting each other, always trying to outdo the other with toys, boys and fashion. It didn’t last long thankfully because when Leti’s mom got sick there was no one left to take care of her but Mami and I. Eventually when Tia Tiny died, I vowed to always make sure Leti never felt as if love had left her along with her mom. That didn’t necessarily stop the fighting of course but it ceased all of our competitions. If anything I always wanted her to win. “Okay Leti, take me wherever you see fit.” I relented. She smiled and turned up the radio, leaving us to a peaceful journey. “Jos wake up. We’re here.” Leti said shaking me awake again yet softer this time. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes from my impromptu nap,” Where are we?” I slurred then took a look around. “We’re at the cemetery. We’re here to visit Mama.” She answered, grabbing a bouquet of yellow tulips and proceeding to get out of the car. I studied her for a minute and then followed suit. The walk to Tia Tiny’s gravestone was a quiet one but didn’t begin to match the thick air that surrounded us when we arrived to her. Leti placed the flowers on her mom’s marker,” Happy Birthday Mama, I love you and miss you so much.” It had slipped my mind what today was and immediately I felt the guilt seep through my skin as we stood there quietly. Minutes passed by like hours before Leti spoke up again,” You know Jos I never told you this but, when it became clear that Mama wasn’t going to make it through I was so scared. I was so scared that after she died no one was going to love me. I’d seen movies and heard words of kids who got tossed around the family unwanted and I was so scared that was what was going to become of me too,” She looked at me then and I could see the tears of past worries and relief in her eyes which brought a sting to mine too,” Little did I know that I would be blessed with the greatest gift that is not only our family but is most importantly, you. We used to fight so madly remember?” She laughed and I nodded, smiling,” But when my world felt like it was falling apart you took a look at it and said,”this won’t do Leti” and you pulled me through. You put everything aside for me and I want to do the same for you. I know you’re hurting, I can see it so I’m gonna do the best I can. I’m going to give you all the love I can because you’ve always taken care of me and now it’s my turn to take care of you.” “Leti, I know you’re worried about me but I swear I’m okay.” I felt something wet hit my nose and looked up. The clouds were colored darkly and seemed to be filled with something heavy. “When are you going to stop pretending?” Leti was irritated now. “When are you gonna quit thinking something is wrong with me?” The clouds were big swirled masses and droplets became more persistent in their falling. “Because there is something wrong with you! No one just isolates themselves from everyone coincidentally after their boyfriend breaks up with them Josie!” “Oh my god Leti can you just leave it alone please? For me?” I begged. Her stubbornness was getting to me. I just wanted her to leave me alone, I was doing fine on my own. I was handling it well. Why couldn’t she see that? “No I can’t and I won’t, you need to let your emotions out.” “Can’t you take a hint? I don’t want to. I don’t want to do any of this. I don’t want to be here and I especially don’t want you up my ass about how I’m feeling. Just leave me alone!” I stomped away from her and Tia Tiny in the now pouring rain. It’s amazing how much the weather and moods correlate with each other. “Well too fucking bad!” I whipped around,”What did you say to me?” Leti walked the distance between us,”Well too fucking bad. I don’t care what you do and don’t want. I’m gonna stay up your ass until the shit you’re holding in comes out your mouth.” “And pun intended!” She said as an afterthought. “Fuck you, Leticia Moretti.” I said pushing her. “Fuck you, Josephine Campos.” Leti said pushing back harder. And it went on like that. Until I slipped in the mud, falling flat onto my back. Instead of getting up, I decided to lay there. I already feel like watery dirt might as well lay in it too. After awhile, Leti grabbed my hand, pulled me up and then we looked at each other. She shook her head looking at the mess of me and pulled me into her arms. This is when I decided to cry. The silent kind, where you only shake and shudder but all the slobbiness doesn’t make itself heard. “There, there baby. I know. It’s okay.” Leti reassured, patting my wet head. Most of the tears subsided before I finally said,”I- I just feel so stupid you know? I should have seen it coming. There were so many signs that he was going to leave me for her and I just didn’t want to see them because I loved him so much. I thought if I let him go and get it out of his system, he wouldn’t leave me. I’m such an idiot Leti and I don’t feel like I have a right to be so hurt when I did this to myself.” Leti grabbed my face then so I could look her in her eyes when she said,” Josie listen to me very clearly, it is not your fault. He is the idiot for leaving you and I hope he soon receives what I know is coming to him. You’re feelings are valid and don’t you ever think for a second they aren’t. I love you and I am here for you, so don’t push me away anymore.” When I thought I couldn’t cry any harder, I proved myself wrong,” I love you too and I won’t I promise.” I sobbed even more horrendously, we hugged, Leti laughed and despite everything, I felt better than I ever had. I knew that as long as I had Leti by my side, no hurt nor would any pain last forever.

Hi hello I love ruby and I have a request for some ruby and kaylee in the “aftermath” verse, just ruby and her new baby when she comes back from killing lilith
Sorry this took so long to post. I started writing it, but I quickly found that it’s pretty hard writing a single person interacting with such a young baby (since they don’t do much at that age). About that time I received another fic request asking for some of Sam interacting with Kaylee in Aftermath too. So I decided to merge the requests in order to make more stuff happening (Sam and Ruby can play off each other when Kaylee would otherwise be an adorable potato). Then I also got a fic request for Sam’s reaction to finding out that Ruby was pregnant again. So that kinda fit in with the first year of fluff and their evolving sense of family.
So to sum up: Sorry for taking so long to post this and sorry for combining fic requests. I just think that they make a nice little collection. And as always, I hope you enjoy it.
Word count: 5,064Spoiler Warning: Needless to say, this presumes you’ve read Job & Family.
12/28/2009
“Are we at the camp?” Sam asked through a mixture of justifiable fatigue and pain killers.
It’d been almost a whole day since he’d had surgery on his right arm, and the majority of that time he’d been asleep. The procedure to repair the cut muscles wasn’t particularly intrusive, although after his imprisonment and the fight he’d been left completely spent. As soon as the logistics of teleportation were arranged by the others, he was moved to a free cabin with the rest of the coven and was deposited into a warm, plush bed. He’d stirred a few times when Kaylee had started crying, but Ruby had promptly started nursing her or otherwise soothing the fussing baby in order to allow him to rest as much as needed.
“Yeah, we’ve got a spare cabin, all to ourselves.” Ruby ran her fingers through his hair. “So take as long as you need. We don’t have killing anymore Archdemons or Archangels on our calendar.”
He shifted slightly, comfortably immobilized between a pile of pillows that supported his injured arm, Kaylee dozing on his chest, and Ruby who was snuggled up on his left side. His fingers ran up through Ruby’s hair from the nape until he’d cupped the back of her head. Pulling her closer to him he rested his cheek against the top of her head and breathed in her scent. He stayed like that for a long while, relishing the calm as he watched their daughter sleep.
“So this is what it’s like to have no plans?” he said, breaking the silence.
“I didn’t say that.” Ruby dragging her fingers along his bare torso. “You start physical therapy in four days.”
He tried moving the fingers on his right hand, but they weren’t exactly cooperative and caused some pain in his forearm.
“Do you know how long the sessions are supposed to be?”
“Just an hour,” she offered, knowing perfectly well that leaving the camp and Kaylee was one of the last things he wanted to do. “Then you can come straight back here.”
Kaylee fidgeted and let out a little huff as her limbs readjusted. Sam and Ruby both watched her find a comfortable position and return to her perfectly content sleep.
“When we first got here, back while you were still out, Tom asked if he could stay with us,” Ruby broached the more serious yet timely conversation. “I have a feeling I know the answer, but are you okay with that?”
It was more than just the boy staying with them for a bit. This was a turning point in all of their lives. If Tom moved in with them it would undoubtedly solidify him eventually becoming an adopted son. They both cared about him and he’d been very sweet towards Kaylee—not to mention that they knew that Kay had loved her older brother. Despite that, it was still the first step in a huge commitment…. But he felt ready, he was prepared to step up however he was needed for his growing family.
“Yeah.” Sam nodded. “I’m fine taking him in. Do we have enough room?”
“Yeah, this is a three bedroom cabin.” She glanced toward the rest of the cabin. “But I haven’t really explored it much. You weren’t the only one who needed a day to recover in bed.”
“You more than earned some rest,” Sam agreed.
“But now you’ve got me curious what all there is in this place.” Ruby reluctantly untangled her limbs from Sam’s, then went to go check on the relative sizes of the two other bedrooms in the cabin. The smaller of the two seemed big enough to hold all the baby stuff that they’d need. For the last two weeks they’d managed with just a single room that they’d all shared. Giving Kaylee a room dedicated just to herself seemed almost luxurious.
“Hey, um… Ruby,” Sam called from the bed where she’d left him. “I think Kaylee’s hungry.”
“She isn’t crying—” she started replying, but stopped when she walked back into the bedroom.
Kaylee was still sprawled across Sam’s bare chest and was making a valiant effort to latch onto his left nipple. He moved his bandaged right arm around in a display of his inability to pick up the fragile infant with both hands. Ruby’s mouth curled helplessly into a grin as she summoned a considerable amount of willpower in order to not laugh at him.
“A little help,” he said as his ears turned pink.
“One sec, I need to go get a camera,” she replied, but didn’t go to the effort of pretending to look for her smartphone.
“Please don’t tell Dean… or Kay,” Sam begged as he stuck a finger in Kaylee’s mouth, giving her something to suck as a stopgap measure.
“I get the feeling Kay would be just as embarrassed as you,” Ruby commented and she scooped up Kaylee. “Maybe wear a shirt next time you let her lay on your chest?”
He stared at her skeptically. “You’re the one who put me in this bed in just my boxers… I hope”
“And I don’t regret that decision in the slightest.” Ruby gently bounced Kaylee to buy a bit more time before she started crying. “While I’m taking care of her lunch, are you hungry? I can make you something vaguely resembling food.”
“You can cook?”
“Resembling food,” she repeated, then raised an eyebrow at him. “Do you know how to cook?”
Sam opened his mouth to offer some statement in his defense, but he hesitated. With a little shrug he replied, “I think I’m going to start making a domestic learn-how-to-do list.”
“Smart move. This is a strange new mission,” Ruby observed while placing Kaylee into a cloth wrap, then slipped the wrap onto her body. After a minute or two of adjusting the wrap, Kaylee was positioned to be right at her breast. She pulled her breast out of her shirt and helped Kaylee latch on before looking back at Sam. “A strange mission with very weird tools and skill sets.”
“Fewer projectiles though,” he pointed out.
“For now,” Ruby said as walked out to the kitchen in search of the means to feed more that just her suckling daughter.
The fridge had been fully stocked when she’d arrived, so she had almost too many options. In the end she settled on making a salad because it was one of Sam’s go to meals on the road and it was just chopped up raw vegetables—How hard could it be? As she cut up the variety of produce, she hummed a gentle version of Boys Wanna Be Her. Every few seconds she’d glance at Kaylee who occasionally nodded off with a mouth full of nipple only to wake up and immediately resume drinking.
“You look more exhausted than your dad,” she told the infant. After a moment’s reconsideration she switched into Dagbani and continued talking to her as she prepared the salad. “Your ba gets a pass on account of all the shit he’s been through the last fews days. I’m sure you’ll hear all about it when you’re older, but let me tell you before anyone else tries to tell you their heroic tale: it was your mom who saved the day. I mean, your ba was very brave too, and your auntie Kay, uncle Dyl—even your uncle Dean, but don’t tell him I ever—”
“Are you speaking…” Sam started to ask as he walked out of the bedroom in his pajama pants and a soft t-shirt that he’d somehow managed to get on with the use of only one hand.
“Dagbani,” she helped reminded him of the name of the language while answering the question. She was about to explain that Kay had told her that it’d been spoken in her home growing up, and that the thought of sharing her languages with her daughter had been a surprisingly meaningful to her. But Sam spoke before she could explain.
“Good,” he said while taking a seat at the dining table to keep her company even if he wasn’t up for actually helping.
Ruby smiled to herself as she kept chopping the salad. She spoke to Kaylee and translated for Sam’s benefit as she worked. Occastionally she’d look up at Sam; he was just sitting there happily watching her work while interacting with their daughter. After having a chance to be upright for a bit, he came over and hugged her from behind. He kissed Ruby’s neck, then softly pat Kaylee’s head. The baby let go of Ruby’s nipple and let out an audible sigh before immediately falling asleep as they watched. A little milk dribbled down her chin.
“She’s graceful,” Ruby whispered.
“She takes after her mom.”
Ruby bumped into him with her butt, giving him a slight hip-check, before instructing, “use that still-working hand of yours and find something to put this salad in.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
He started searching through the kitchen cabinets for the first time. Every once in awhile he’d pull out something he was unfamiliar with and check to see if she had ever seen the mysterious objects. While exploring, he opened the microwave to check its capacity.
“I’ve never had a microwave,” Ruby observed as she stared at the small appliance.
“You know how to use a microwave,” he replied only half paying attention while he grabbed a serving bowl from a high cabinet shelf.
“But I’ve never had one,” she clarified. “The last time I stayed somewhere for more than a month was in the 1920’s.”
He placed the bowl down on counter, then stared at the microwave again with newfound interest. “I’ve never had a microwave either. When I was at Stanford my roommates always brought that kind of stuff. I just had a few bowls and utensils….”
Sam looked around at the fully furnished cabin. It was his. It was theirs. It would take some getting used to. He exchanged an awkward glance with Ruby, but before either of them could find the words to express the oddity of the moment there was a soft knock on the front door.
“Come in,” Sam called out.
Belda opened the door, then walked in carrying a cake that appeared to contain chunks of tropical looking fruit.
“Welcome to the neighborhood,” she greeted them as she placed the platter on the dining table. Ruby immediately stopped working on the salad and hurried over to pluck a few pieces of fruit from the cake.
“Thanks for the warm welcome,” Sam replied. “We’re still trying to figure out what’s where and everything.”
“Well, if you find out that you’re missing something, we get supplies once a week and the next shipment should arrive in three days,” Belda told them. “So you can just add whatever you need to the list Pascoe keeps.”
“The supplies come from?” Ruby asked.
“Our contact person is a woman named Shola, but they’re from Hell. They just sort of arrive in the camp center.” Belda walked into the kitchen and began tossing the salad in the serving bowl for Ruby. “Sadly they don’t offer babysitting, but I can help you out with that from time to time, if you’d like.”
“Thank you.” Sam smiled warmly at her. “I’m sure I’ll take you up on that, but for right now I’m being way too clingy.”
“You deserve to be a little clingy,” Ruby assured.
Belda started to pick up the salad bowl to take it to the table, but Sam took it from her. She was in his cabin. She was a guest—They had a guest. With a bit of effort he started setting up a basic place setting for the three of them. When they were all seated, he noticed Belda tilt her head to look into the smallest bedroom.
“What color are you painting the nursery?” the witch provided as small talk.
“What?” Sam asked, then looked into the little, empty room for signs that it needed repair. He glanced at Ruby to see if she had an answer for the question he didn’t fully understand, but she seemed to be equally confused.
“Do you like this color?” Belda clarified. “Cause if not we can order something else in the next shipment of supplies.”
He hadn’t even thought about what color it or any other room was. The nursery was an odd seafoam green that wasn’t really offensive, but there wasn’t anything good to be said about it either.
It was their house, like the house itself, not just the objects inside it. They could change things like the paint on the walls. He’d never been able to do that before.
“Lavender,” Sam suggested, earning a nod of approval from Ruby.
“And sage,” she added.
01/05/2010
There were plenty of coven members who were glad to lend a hand when it came to repainting the nursery, but Sam had insisted that he wanted to make an initial attempt. His first two physical therapy sessions had brought negligible improvement, though he’d quickly gotten used to using his left hand more and was therefore able to decline assistance most of the time.
Ruby sat in the nursery’s rocking chair, soothing Kaylee to sleep as she watched his labor. He’d never painted a room before and the unprofessional quality was made even worse by the fact that his dominant arm was largely nonfunctional. But the slightly irregular effect was endearing and somehow fit the way their odd little cabin was coming together.
“Beautiful work, Rodin,” Ruby told him while eyeing the inconsistent brush strokes.
“Rodin was a sculptor,” Sam corrected her.
“I stand by my statement.”
He held out the paintbrush to her. “Would you like to trade places?”
“No, I’m actually having a pretty good time where I am.”
He exhaled a small laugh at the thought of her enjoying such a quiet moment. A few weeks ago he wouldn’t have believed that they’d be spending three consecutive days decorating a nursery. He especially wouldn’t have expected for Ruby to be content with that sort of calm. Dropping the paintbrush back into the bucket, he turned to give her his full attention.
“Are you sure you’re okay with this?” Sam asked.
“The colors?” She furrowed her brow at the possibility of undoing all his work.
“With being here when it’s mundane,” he explained. “You just… you’ve done so much exciting stuff for so long. I want you to be happy.”
“It’s different,” she admitted. “But I am happy. Anyway Kay’s mom found it exciting enough, so that’s probably a good sign.”
“Yeah, well her dad conquering Hell probably livened things up a bit,” Sam pointed out.
“If I get restless, then you’ll just have to go become the devil.” Her voice was sweet and she batted her eyes in a homage to begging.
“That’s one way of spicing up a relationship.”
She chuckled, then tackled the issue a bit more seriously. “After we get settled, I’m gonna go back to the coven’s old camp to collect the library and some other artifacts. I want to rebuild, get back on the right side of the Maji so that I can get us more resources, get the coven stronger, and make sure all the kids are being brought up in the craft correctly. The kids….” Her eyes flickered from the window facing the other cabins to the baby sleeping in her arms. “The kids have a future now. I want to make sure they don’t lose that again.”
Sam nodded in profound understanding as he watched her holding Kaylee. All of them were getting a new beginning. He picked up the paintbrush, then asked, “can you bring her over for a second?”
Ruby carried their daughter over, then sat down on the floor next to him. He took Kaylee’s right hand, then brushed some lavender paint onto it. Very gently, Sam pressed her hand onto a section of sage wall, transferring the tiny handprint.
“This is your room,” Sam spoke softly to the drowsy infant. “You have a real room in a real house.”
“In a home. You have a home,” Ruby corrected, then added, “we have a home.”
Sam cupped her Ruby’s cheek, smudging it slightly with lavender paint. He kissed her deeply for several seconds before resting his forehead against hers and whispering, “I’ve had a home for over a year; it’s just been a person.”
She took his hand in hers, then guided it down to rest on their daughter’s chest. “Well, now it’s people.”

Ruby came home from a trip down to Hell to find Sam making dinner while Kaylee sat in her automated rocker. She gave him a kiss, then picked up her four month old daughter. Sam was carefully checking a recipe for palak paneer and measuring out ingredients while listening to Middle Distance Runner. Ruby started rocking and swaying to the mild music, taking Kaylee along for the ride.
“Someday you’re gonna learn how to move those little legs of yours and then you won’t need a dance partner,” Ruby informed Kaylee.
“I get the feeling she’ll still insist on dancing with you for a few more years,” Sam guessed as he sliced chunks of paneer.
“Look who’s talking.” Ruby placed a hand behind her daughter’s neck to support her head, then dipped the infant before continuing the conversation. “What do you want to bet she’ll make you jump through a literal hoop before she’s five?”
“Knowing Kay, I’m more concerned about figurative hoop-jumping.”
“Are you gonna be a little Crossroads demon?” Ruby cooed at her. “Or are you gonna be a Maji like your mom?”
“Or unemployed like your dad?” Sam added.
“Have you ever really technically been employed?”
“I once tutored a kid while in undergrad,” he answered.
She held up Kaylee in all her footie-pajamaed glory. “Your youngest pupil—speaking of pupils.” Ruby turned her daughter to face her, then blinked her eyes solid black and said, “boo!”
Kaylee started giggling while waving her arms enthusiastically. Ruby turned her eyes back to normal, then did it again causing another adorable fit of joy.
“I don’t think this’ll ever get old,” Ruby told Sam.
“Just wait, Kay says we should expect her to start blinking black eyes right back at you at around one year old.”
Ruby turned her eyes black while making another giggle-producing silly face, then hugged Kaylee close and playfully rocked side-to-side.
“I can’t wait.”
Dinner was typical for the days when Ruby would go downstairs. Tom happily told her all about what he’d learned under Sam and Belda’s complementary instruction. Belda focused on foundational math, chemistry, reading, and magical theory. While Sam had taken to giving the boy and several other children lessons in history, natural sciences, and he also enjoyed reading them classic literature and poetry. Pascoe would occasionally give Tom private lessons on spellcraft, which Sam also sat in on, when Ruby wasn’t around to help her young apprentice.
While enjoying her home-cooked meal, Ruby recounted a very redacted version of her ‘day’ in Hell. She’d always leave out the parts that were likely to upset Tom. At some point when he was a bit older she’d inevitably explain her role in the great ecosystem of painful transformation. For the moment he at least abstractly understood what Hell was and that was enough to get the gist of most stories across. She also wanted to share some of the details of her other activities with Sam, to give him another glimpse of the outside world—not that he was particularly inclined to go out into that mess when there was such a pleasant place for him to enjoy with his new family. Nor was it a wise idea for him to go anywhere that he might be recognized by demons, angels, police, and who knew what else.
After dinner, Ruby took Kaylee while Sam helped Tom start his last bit of studies before bedtime. She gave the infant another twirl on the dancefloor before settling on their too-small couch for storytime. Half the time she made up the tales—it didn’t really matter whether the plot made any sense since the main goal was to simply expose Kaylee to a broad vocabulary. But fairly often after a long day, when her imagination had failed her, she’d start telling stories from real life. And after the day that she’d had, the story of how her castemate Borbdyn was accidently made into a Visedemon seemed as good as anything else.
“—Then an Arbris demon named Kulnix asked Borbdyn whether she’d visited the Lower Pits den,” Ruby was saying as Sam finally walked back into the living room after taking care of Tom.
He stopped mid-step, furrowed his brow and tilted his head at the odd discovery, but he didn’t comment on the actual plot. After double checking the sweet, innocent smile on his daughter’s face he shrugged, resigned to the effectiveness of the story, then sat down next to Ruby.
“How often do you tell her Abyssal bedtime stories?” he asked her in a nonjudgmental voice.
“All the time.” Ruby shrugged. “She’s more demon than human.”
“Not complaining,” Sam said in his defense. “I just didn’t know that there were Abyssal stories that were… uh, age appropriate.”
“At four months old, you don’t have any long term memory of these words you don’t know, do you?” Ruby cooed to the infant. “I could tell you about the time your ba and I killed like five demons, then had sex in car before we even cleaned up all the blood—“
Sam hastily glanced down the hall to make sure that Tom’s bedroom door was closed as Kaylee giggled, interrupting Ruby’s recounting of some Friday night from over a year earlier. Their daughter’s lighthearted laughter made Sam relax a bit more and distracted Ruby by inspiring her to tickle a pair of tiny, vulnerable feet.
“Point taken,” he acknowledged, then added, “but no sex stories after she learns her first word.”
“How hard do you think I’d have to work to get her first word to be sex?” Ruby smirked.
06/08/2010
Sam was prone on the living room floor watching his daughter intently. From about a foot away Kaylee stared back at him with her big, dark brown eyes. She wriggled uncertainly on her stomach and arms for several minutes but couldn’t figure out how to propel herself forward.
“You’ve got to crawl to move forward,” Sam informed the six month old. “Like this.”
Sam pushed himself up onto his hand and knees in Kaylee’s field of view, then started crawling around. She studied him with silent fascination before rocking back and forth in some approximation that didn’t involve lifting her limbs off the ground.
“Did you drop something?” Ruby asked as she walked in the door with their portion of the latest shipment’s groceries.
“No, I’m just trying to teach her how to crawl.”
Ruby placed the basket full of food on the kitchen counter, then sat down on Sam’s back as if he was a mount. Sam tilted his head towards their daughter’s adorably furrowed brow.
“I think you’re confusing her,” he told Ruby, but did attempt to buck her off.
“Someday you’ll get piggyback rides from your ba,” she told the befuddled infant. “And he can use telekinesis, so they’re probably gonna be pretty awesome.”
“No pressure.”
“You’re a natural,” Ruby said encouragingly before climbing off of him and getting down on her own hands and knees. She smiled at Kaylee, then said, “alright, now we’re both crawling. See, it’s not so hard.”
Ruby had only been crawling around on the floor in front of Sam for about twenty seconds when she spotted him look at her ass. She stopped right in front of him, gave a little teasing shake, then turned around and pulled him into a playful kiss. He held her, but as he slowly lowered her to the floor while they kissed, he’d unconsciously moved to be on top of her. Her legs wrapped around his waist and their crotchs were tauntingly close together.
Sam broke the kiss with a sexually-frustrated groan, then checked to confirm that Kaylee was just sitting a few feet away candidly watching them. “I think we’re destroying whatever crawling knowledge she had.”
“Avert your eyes, starlight. Your dad and I are couple-wrestling.”
He huffed a laugh. “Yeah, that’s not happening right now.”
Ruby reached down and rubbed his dick through his pants. “Maybe we could get Belda to babysit more often, for a little bit right after I get home from work?”
After considering his current bargaining power with Belda he suggested, “she’d probably be fine with an hour here or there.”
“Two hours,” Ruby upped the ante, earning a grin and a nod of acknowledgment.
“I’ll see what I can negotiate.”
11/14/2010
Sam was lying on the couch reading Fear & Trembling aloud while the 11-month old Kaylee snuggled on his chest. She reached up and pet his scruffy chin.
“Ba.” Kaylee’s voice was a soft little squeak. She only knew a few words, but they seemed meticulously designed to elicit pampering from anyone within earshot.
“What can I do for you, Kaylee?”
She grabbed at his face, then said, “–iss.”
He shifted slightly, then gave her a kiss. She giggled before resuming groping his two-day old whiskers.
Ruby came out of their bedroom and glanced around for a moment before asking, “is Tom still over at movie night?”
“Yeah, they’re watching The Lord of the Rings.” Sam checked his watch. “So it’ll probably be another hour or more.”
“Cool,” she said uncharacteristically in a slightly anxious tell as she strolled around the room. He sat up when she stopped right in front of him. “How’s teeny toddler time?”
“Good,” he responded warily. “Why?”
“I was just wondering how you’d feel about another?”
“Another what?”
She lifted her shirt up a few inches to show him the fact that she couldn’t button her pants. “Another slightly demonic bundle of joy.”
He stared at her, completely dumbfounded for a long while. “You’re pregnant?”
“It feels like last time and half my pants don’t fit anymore.” She placed his hand on her abdomen. “We can go get an ultrasound. I’d rather do that than ask Morrison to confirm it.”
Kaylee stood up on her dad’s lap, then reached out and touched Ruby’s belly, mimicking him. He felt like he’d been sucker punched right in his heart. Ruby reached down and ran her fingers through their daughter’s soft brown hair, then looked at Sam with a verklempt wavering smile. “I’m not sure if hormones are in play, but I think my ovaries just exploded from that cuteness.”
Sam used telekinesis to float over a few toys from across the room, dropping them onto the area rug in front of the couch. He put Kaylee down on the floor to entertain herself for a few minutes by playing with her toys. With a bit more space cleared on the couch, he gestured for Ruby to join him. They needed to talk.
“Tell me what you’re thinking,” she said as she took his hand.
“Thinking might be a little too much for me right now,” he admitted.
“Then how’re you feeling?”
They sat in silence for several seconds watching their daughter playing with a plush dragon that Bobby had given her during his last visit. Sam loved watching her grow, learn, and explore this big weird world. He loved being a dad. The thought of having another baby made him hopeful and eager—and daunted, definitely daunted, but not so much that he’d let that stop him. Yet there was another feeling gnawing at him.
“Scared.”
“Is it the idea of taking care of three kids?” she asked. “Cause I could be home more.”
“It’s not that,” Sam assured. He pursed his lips at his own fear before daring to voice it. “What if Heaven calls this a violation?”
The main condition placed on his ability to live in peace was that he not dabble in the politics of Hell. Much to the chagrin of Kay, Crowley, and everyone else who liked Sam, there hadn’t been a clear definition of dabbling. Heaven had left itself some wiggle room for discretion, contingent upon some ability for Hell to argue on his behalf before anything drastic punishment was inflicted on him for a perceived violation. Of course that was all in theory. Who was he to guess at what Heaven might find so threatening as to act without some sort of due process.
“You aren’t playing politics,” she argued. “This is our family, in our home. They don’t get a say in that.”
“We’d be changing the playing field.” He leaned his head back and stared at the ceiling because he couldn’t stand to look at either of Ruby or Kaylee while making his next point. “Kay’s younger siblings were killed for what they were.”
Ruby scooted closer to him, then turned his face to her. “Our kids aren’t princes and princesses of Hell. It’s not that same.”
“They’re still born demons.” With a hint of quiet shame he added, “they’re still his vessels.”
“Lucifer isn’t in play.” Her voice with comforting yet firm. “Times change. People evolve. Species evolve. We aren’t at war with Heaven. They can deal.”
“Is it fair to bring another kid into the world when we don’t know….” He couldn’t begin to articulate all the what-ifs.
“We take risks for the things that are important to us. We do it for each other and the kids. Our family is pretty fucking weird, but we’re happy and I don’t mind the risks we take in exchange for that.” She looked him in the eyes with a seriousness and sincerity that cleared away some of the anxious haze. “Politics aside, do you want to have another kid?”
He let out a long breath, then answered, “yeah, I do.”
Ruby climbed onto his lap, straddling him, then leaned in for a kiss. He embraced her, clinging to her in the dizzying collection of emotions finally hitting him full force. A tear of something between bliss and nerves trickled down his cheek before he laughed breaking their kiss. She caressed his cheek, then rested her forehead against his and whispered, “I want that too.”

The Ex-Wife?- Part 1
Warnings: Swearing, Angst, Heartbreak.
Words: 2024
Summary: Sam Winchester never wanted to get his heart broken ever again after having his first wedding end in disaster. He pretends to have an ex-wife you, but what happens when he begins to have feelings for you that he didn’t ask for?
Pairing: Lawyer!Sam Winchester X Reader
A/N: Welcome to Part 1 of The Ex-Wife? I know that I shouldn’t be starting another series so soon, but I wanted to try to get this one in as soon as I could since I had seen the movie Just Go With It. I thought maybe that this would make a good Sam series as well. I know that I’ve gotten a few Sam series written so far, and I thought that was okay, but I’m hoping that you’ll enjoy it. Sadly the reader won’t quite come into this story just yet. I hope that you enjoy this first part of The Ex-Wife?
September 24, 2005
The church had slowly begun to fill up for Samuel Winchester's wedding, a twenty-two year old college student who was going to Stanford University and was finally going to get a full ride to become a lawyer. It was something that he had always wanted and it was something that his father, mother, and older brother were proud of.
The bride, Jessica Moore was in her beautiful gown that flattered her figure nicely. Her hair and makeup were getting fixed by her friends.
“You look so gorgeous, Jessica. I’m happy you picked this dress.” Her friend with red hair said with a smile.
“Yes.” Her brunette friend said, nodding her head.
Jessica let out a soft chuckle her hand coming up to her mouth delicately. “Guys, I’m getting married.”
“Not without your veil, you can’t. Where is it?” Cassie, Dean’s wife, had questioned.
“I think I left it upstairs.”
Cassie got up from her seat smoothing out her dress. “Don’t worry, I’ll get it… you’ll be my sister-in-law soon enough.” She said as she left the room.
The red haired bride’s maid rolled her eyes. “Ugh… why do you have her as a bride’s maid?”
Jessica let out a soft sigh. “I’m truly sorry about her…. She’s Sam’s sister-in-law.”
“How are you going to deal with that?” The blonde haired bride’s maid asked looking at Jessica.
“I’m just going to lay down the law with Sam. We’re going to see his family as little as possible. I mean he’ll be a big time lawyer.”
The brunette bride’s maid looked at Jessica with pursed lips. “You sure that he is going to go along with that? You are ordering him around with how often you and him see his family?”
“Sam doesn’t seem to say no to me. Believe me. He won’t say no to this either.” Jessica said with a small smile.
Little did that Jessica knew Sam Winchester, her fiance was right outside of the room. He had been fixing his tie in the bathroom and he had heard everything that Jessica had said. His lips went together in a thin line. Did Jessica really think of him as a well trained dog?
“So… how’d it go with Brady last night?” He heard a bride’s maid asked.
“Shh!”
Sam’s eyes went wide, his best friend and one of his groom’s men had done something? Had Jessica been cheating on him for a while?
“I told him if he wanted to stop the wedding, he had to speak up now, or forever hold his peace.” He heard Jessica lowering her tone. He knew why she was doing that, just in case someone walked by the room and heard them talking.
“What’d he say?” He heard another ask.
“He said he’s never going to settle down, and that I should go and marry Sam.”
“Did he give you a ‘wedding present’?” The bride’s maid asked, her voice going slightly higher in delight.
“Uh… I guess you could call it that.”
He heard the squealing from the girls and he closed his eyes lowering his head. He hadn’t expected Jessica and Brady to go behind his back and cheat on him. He had done so much for Jessica, he really had, and now this. What was he supposed to do. He couldn’t just marry someone that he didn’t trust. Someone who didn’t like his brother’s wife.
“Shh! It’s the last time I swear! Sam’s so sweet, and considerate. And he’s going to be a lawyer. So I’m marrying him.”
Sam swallowed the lump that formed in his throat. He turned on his heels sharply and went towards the other hallway only to run into Dean who had been looking for him.
“Sammy… where have you been?” Dean took in Sam’s appearance and saw tears falling from his baby brother’s hazel eyes. He felt his heart lurch, something had happened to cause his baby brother to be in tears. “Sammy, what happened?”
“She’s cheating on me, Dean,” Sam said softly, his voice cracking a little bit.
“Jessica’s cheating on you?” Dean felt his heart breaking a little bit knowing that his baby brother had just gotten his heart ripped out of his chest.
Sam nodded his head. “Yeah. With Brady.”
Dean’s head whipped around to where Brady was inside of the main hall. “Do you want me to knock the bastard’s teeth down his throat?”
Sam shook his head as more tears slipped from his gorgeous hazel eyes. Sam didn’t want his older brother to go off and do something stupid. “Forget it, Dean.” Sam said softly as he wiped his tears that had fallen. “I don’t want you to do something that’s going to get you into trouble. I can’t go in there though.”
Dean put his hand on Sam’s shoulder, giving it a light squeeze. “Go and get drunk, Sammy. I’ll tell mom and dad that you're not going through with the wedding. I won’t go into detail with them on it…. The last thing we need is mom going ballistic with Jessica and Brady for this.”
Sam nodded his head and slowly turned on his heels and slowly left the building. He couldn’t face Brady or Jessica… or even that his parents. He just couldn’t believe that Jessica could do such a thing to him. He was going to have to find another apartment to live in so he could continue going to school and get his degree as a lawyer. He wouldn’t put him through the torture of him seeing Jessica together with Brady. But the thought that was in his mind was, how many others did she cheat on him with?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sam sat at the bar dressed in his tux, the bow undone drinking a beer. He didn’t even notice that the bar had been slowly filling in since he had arrived. He had taken Dean’s word and gone out drinking. He was just planning on forgetting the night all together. He didn’t even want to think of Jessica cheating on him, granted, he wanted the reason, but he at that moment was too hurt to even care. All he wanted to do was forget the day that he almost married her.
He twirled the ring that he had bought to wear when he married Jessica. He didn’t think about taking it off. It was just a reminded of what had happened. He was thinking of pawning it off after he got back to the apartment. He let out a soft breath as he brought the beer bottle back up to his lips taking a sip of the cool beverage.
“Pardon me miss, I have seemed to have lost my phone number. Can I borrow yours?” He heard one crude remark of trying to pick up someone, which was probably a lady.
“Baby, I’m no Barney Rubble, but I can make your bedrock!” Another man jeered at.
Madison, a woman with brown hair and brown eyes took a seat next to Sam. Her purse has fallen to the ground.
Sam leaned over slowly and picked up her fallen purse making sure that nothing had fallen out of her bag. “Excuse me, ma’am, you…”
“Can I just sit here for a few seconds without getting hit on by someone?!” She hissed fairly pissed off looking at Sam with narrowed eyes. She noticed the wedding band that was on Sam’s left hand. “Oh. I thought you were…”
Sam cleared his throat some. “I just wanted to give you your purse back.”
Madison took her purse from him. “Thank you.” She said softly, offering him a small smile. “Sorry I’m so jumpy, it’s just… I bet you didn’t meet the lady who…” She gestured to the ring that was on his hand. “Gave you that ring in a meat market like this.”
Sam let out a soft breath and took a drink of his beer. “College cafeteria. Bumped into her and she took my heart.”
“Awe… How long have you been married?”
Sam turned and looked at her, about to tell her the truth and he stopped. He was awestruck by this woman that sat next to him. “I’ve been married for two years. College sweethearts. Married in our second year of college. We married in Hawaii by a waterfall. Wrote our own vows… mine only took 5 minutes to say since I had so much to tell her. She’s just… she’s my world.”
Madison looked at him with tear filled eyes. “Wow… just wow…” She said softly. “Why can’t I have something like that with a guy?” She thought about how happy she would be. “Sometimes even in a place like this,” She let out a soft breath. “I feel so alone.” She lightly touched Sam’s wedding ring. “Tell me… why are all the good ones are married?”
Sam nervously took a drink from his bottle, letting out a soft breath. He truly didn’t know what to truly say to Madison.
“So, where is your wife tonight?” Madison asked curiously.
“Oh…” Sam let out a soft breath. “She’s out…”
“With who?”
Sam let out a soft scoff. “That’s the question… and I have a pretty good idea. One of my own friends.”
“That’s… terrible.”
Sam let out a soft breath running his hand through his hair. “No, it’s my fault really, for not paying attention to her during studies helping her out.”
“You’re both college students… it doesn’t mean to go out and cheat. Why don’t you leave her?”
“Because… we have a daughter together.” He lied softly. He knew that his older brother was going to give him hell for lying, but he couldn’t seem to help it. “We…” He let out a soft breath. “We put on a good face for our little girl. But I can’t say I’m not lonely.”
“You poor guy…” Madison let out a soft breath. She looked into his hazel eyes, feeling a connection with him. “Do you want to get out of here?”
Sam swallowed the lump in his throat. “Yes.”
Madison grabbed Sam’s hand and led him out of the bar with her.
July 8, 2006
Sam sat at another bar drinking another beer knowing that this was probably a bad idea for him to be using his wedding band all over again to hook up with another girl, but he had seen Jessica that day hanging on Brady’s arm, looking fairly happy, and it upset him to know that Jessica was still screwing around with Brady after everything that she had done to him. Perhaps she didn’t love him like she had said she did when she was with him with how happy she looked with Brady.
Sarah, a woman with brown hair and hazel colored eyes sat with him. She had been listening to his long fabricated story about Jessica trying to get sympathy, which of course worked. Her hand resting on top of his left hand.
“And you know what had hurt me the most?” Sam said going on in his story that he was telling Sarah. “It was the same motel we went to on our honeymoon.”
Sarah patted his hand lightly. “You poor man.”
“I’m trying to stay strong.” He admitted softly rubbing the back of his neck. “Shot?”
Sarah nodded her head.
Sam raised his hand ordering him and her a shot.
August 18, 2007
Sam pursed his lips together as he sat in another bar with Amelia, who was a woman with brown hair and brown eyes. Sam had just gotten done telling her a fabricated story.
Amelia touched Sam’s cheek lightly. “I can’t believe she did that.” Her eyes wide in shock. “With your own cousin.”
“It’s not her fault, she was drunk. You see, there’s three of us in this marriage… me, her, and Jose Cuaro… and my cousin. I guess that makes four. That I know of.” Sam said, lying once more. The stories always seemed to take well and the women that he told them to, seemed to sympathize with him for being cheated on.
Amelia leaned in and kissed him softly on the lips to keep his pain away.
Shadowhunters S2 — Episode 8
Remember how last episode Isabelle had nothing at all to do and was just kind of there, suffering from her addiction (which, again, completely misunderstands that most addictions are more about the circumstances that push someone to use rather than the drug's actual addictiveness), and we left off with her meeting with vampires? Well, as it turns out, what I thought was a subtle fade to black as the vampires bite her was a…cliffhanger. In the middle of the episode. Huh. Figures.
So this week we're back with Isabelle meeting some vampires. And to be fair she's only asking for venom, not for a bite, and when the vampires threaten to bite her, she does try to fight them off…but she needs to be rescued by Raphael for some reason. I guess the show's just given up on portraying Isabelle as the badass she's supposed to be.
Oh, and she also faints in Raphael's arms, so…guess where this is going. No, really.
What is this bullshit? Did you not hear the word of ~~god~~ Clare? Raphael is totally canon asexual! Until you decide to create a new straight, forced romance, that is.
Isabelle also asks Raphael to bite her, and swears she won't ask again, and Raphael…does it, even though he just said she needed to sweat out the venom. And even though he has his own moral quandaries against it, if his "forgive me" at the sky is anything to go by.
And hey, you know what we need in this show? Another subplot! Remember Iris, the warlock woman who wanted to make more warlock babies because she was so afraid of Valentine? She's meeting with him now!
Okay, admittedly it's because he somehow found out about what happened, and he's pissed that Iris tried to have Clary raped by a demon. But instead of asking for…I don't know, vengeance or something, he wants her to work with him, and threatens Madzie (one of her warlock children) to make her. So…I guess I gave the show too much credit when I predicted that she wouldn't be working for Valentine. My bad. They really are this predictable.
Back from their rescue of Ithuriel, Luke rants against Clary for not telling him what the Soul-Sword could do. But it's okay, because the vision Ithuriel showed them is apparently of a demon who can destroy the sword.
"How do you know that's what he was telling you?" "There's no other explanation."
Um…yes, there is. It could be a warning against that demon, rather than a "hey, go summon that demon and destroy the sword". It's not like the Soul-Sword is important or anything. But I guess this is our plot now, so I'll just write it off as Mary Sue Guessing Powers.
We see Jace researching which demon he saw in his and Clary's vision, but who cares about the important plot development! Let's have some banter about the stray cats Magnus feeds (also, Magnus drops gratuitous French, but at least he pronounces it well) and Jace acting like an overprotective big brother and telling Magnus not to hurt Alec's feelings or something.
"Now that you guys have taken things to the next level—" "He told you." "No, he didn't have to. We're parabatai." Meaningful look from Magnus "No, it's not—it's not like that. I can—I can just—I can sense that he's happier."
So…happier = sex? That's a weird assumption. (Also, it would be way more interesting if it was "like that", if you ask me). But also, if you sense that Alec's happier, why do you think Magnus will hurt him?
"You think I'd invite Maryse Lightwood to my home for just anyone?"
Can you do anything without randomly taking a jab at her?
But speaking of that invitation, let's backtrack a little to Alex and Isabelle are watching footage of Ithuriel ascending into the heavens captured from afar.
"It could be a shooting star."
Um…flying upwards? Isabelle, I know you're dealing with heavy shit, but seriously? This is ridiculous.
And from there we go to Isabelle asking about Alec's sex life, mercifully cut short by Max running in, followed by Maryse. After the usual "we hate you mom" moment, we learn that Max is going to have his runing ceremony, and Maryse wants Alec to do it, because Robert can't be there and Alec is "the eldest male in the family". But hey, Shadowhunter society is totally not patriarchal!
Isabelle storms off because Maryse didn't come to Jocelyn's funeral or even check up on her children, and Max complains that everyone in the family is fighting, revealing that Maryse and Robert are also at odds.
"Mom doesn't like you having a warlock boyfriend."
I feel like I've complained about this in season one already, but…I really hate that they're making Maryse the one who's not okay with Alec's sexuality, when Robert was clearly the one with an issue with it in the books.
But Alec has a plan to fight the homophobia/fantasy racism: have Magnus throw a party for Max's runing ceremony. That…is the worst idea, which Magnus realizes, but Alec insists until he changes his mind, which apparently is a recurring thing in their relationship now.
Maryse is expectedly displeased by this, and in one line she gets so much bigotry across I can only quote it.
"It's very kind of your friend to offer, but the runing ceremony is a solemn right of passage, for Shadowhunters. It's not some Downworlder rave. […] It's tradition."
Emphasis mine.
"If Dad were here, he'd understand."
Why did you feel the need to demonize Maryse even further than she was in the books? Ugh.
But Alec basically shames her into accepting by pointing out that their family is basically a mess anyway, complete with trying to have Jace killed on shaky, circumstantial evidence and all. So the party's on!
Before we get there, though, there's one last thing to get out of the way: Simon meets up with Clary, psyching himself up to tell her how he feels. And…he rambles on for a while, but he actually says it. And then Clary…kisses him, because her feelings for him have been so well established in the—okay I can't finish that sentence, this makes no fucking sense. Unless Clary's semi-jealous, semi-awkward look from last episode counts? Nah, it's still terrible execution.
So they're going to Max's runing ceremony party as a couple.
"So do you think anyone's gonna notice? That we're—" "Only one way to find out."
The party is as ridiculously over-the-top as you might expect from Magnus. Also Maia's the barista, because she's the one bartender character in the show, so I guess she's gotta be everywhere there's a bar now. She does semi-apologize to Jace for trying to kill him, since she now knows he didn't kill Gretel (which she knows…how?). Maia also points out Simon and Clary to Jace, who immediately goes to them to act like he's happy for them and obviously not be happy for them. Oh, also, Clary acts jealous because Simon talks to Maia?
Cut to Clary following Simon and Maia and see them kissing in a corner. Oh, the drama!
"Look, she kissed me. I didn't know what to do." "That's it? That's seriously all you have to say?"
So Simon randomly decides maybe them dating is a mistake because it could ruin their friendship, and he tells Clary she'll never understand what it's like to be a Downworlder. Needless to say, Clary isn't convinced.
But Magnus the fairy godwarlock is here to offer advice.
"That doesn't sound like Simon."
Doesn't it? He's the embodiment of the straight nonsense. But i'm sure it's something else.
Guess who's not at the party for most of the episode? Isabelle, who's looking for Raphael to bite her again because she doesn't want to show the symptoms of addiction to her mom. Because hey, this episode is busy vilifying one Lightwood woman, might as well throw Isabelle under the bus while we're at it.
"You can get through this. You're one of the strongest Shadowhunters I know." "No I'm not. Everyone thinks I am, but I'm not."
Not with these writers you're not.
Isabelle goes as far as to cut herself to force him to bite her. Can we end this subplot already? I'm annoyed.
Afterwards, Raphael tries to talk to her out of her addiction, and tells her he went through a similar issue with drinking human blood as a vampire, but Magnus helped him out of it. More romantic tension, and Isabelle finally joins the party, just in time to forgive Clary and talk to her about ~boys!~ Specifically Simon, of course. Except what Clary says makes Isabelle think she's suspicious of her, so that goes nowhere. Um…okay?
Speaking of going nowhere, Clary sees Simon hitting on Maia again…but when Magnus steps in and tells her to calm down and she looks again, turns out Maia isn't even there. So…she's hallucinating now. Oh, and said "hallucinations" lead her to snap at Alec for killing her mom, because Magnus figured out that something was wrong, but not wrong enough to keep an eye on her.
Meanwhile, Maryse arrives, Magnus tries to be nice and explain he gave the party a Spanish theme because Robert proposed to Maryse in Spain, which immediately backfires.
"How sweet that Alec feels comfortable sharing our personal family stories with you."
And the "Maryse is mean" nonsense continues with Max as the tools of her evil womanness, who consecutively acts rude to Magnus twice in a row, then says Jace isn't his brother or part of the family, and everyone arguing again. It's almost like forcing people who hate each other in a single place doesn't actually solve anything! What does, apparently, is emotional blackmail.
"If you ever want to make things right with me, you'd better make things right with Jace."
Good job, I'm sure that'll lead to a healthy, happy family.
Maryse goes after Jace…but instead of apologizing she keeps sniping at him. Literally, one might even say.
Yeah, she decided to kill him because of his demon blood now. What is it with this show and having every mom do that while everyone else is cool with it?
Jace knocks her out and gets Isabelle's help, and Magnus comes as well, because he spotted them or something. Turns out Jace is also hallucinating and Maryse didn't attack him at all!
So remember how Clary snapped at Alec? Well, turns out that was Alec hallucinating and now he's about to jump off the roof, and while Clary tries to talk him out of it he just keeps hearing more insults. Magnus saves him at the last moment with magic,
"Now you can see why I was worried about having a party at a warlock's house!"
Thanks, Maryse, that random act of bigotry (which i'm fairly sure isn't a hallucination) was totally necessary.
Anyway, Magnus, knowing that at least three people are experiencing hallucinations, decides to…leave everyone on the roof (now including Simon) and "be right back". What could go wrong!
Well…nothing, apparently. Magnus finds the counterspell, and everyone's fine and apologizing, but someone steals Magnus's spellbook. He figures that the cat we saw earlier was actually a warlock in disguise, and surprise, it's Iris. She freezes everyone but Magnus, they fight of a while, it's kind of unimpressive and consists mostly of hurling fireballs at each other until Magnus captures Iris. Turns out they have history, but I don't really care about that.
She tells him the truth about Valentine and Madzie, and she's already given him the book…somehow. Also, before Magnus sends her over to the Clave, she tells Clary to honor her blood oath by finding Madzie, so…guess we have another plot now.
Oh, also, Clary and Jace catch everyone up about Ithuriel, the demon in their vision, and Clary's powers. Magnus figures out why Clary has that connection with Ituriel, because the first Shadowhunters had a similar connection to Raziel by virtue of sharing his blood directly, which means Clary must have Ithuriel's blood. And since Clary has pure angel blood, she can also activate the Soul-Sword…I guess. Of course, that also includes Jace, but they don't know that yet. So you can expect a twist to happen there.
And that's enough of that scene, let's cut to Clary and Simon going home (home where? no idea), and Simon saying that the prospect of his possible impending doom by genocide made him realize he wanted to spend every moment with Clary. Which…you'd almost think he's proposing to her or something.
We also do get to Max's runing ceremony, by the way. I know you probably forgot about it, since no one else seemed to care beyond a reason to throw this party.
It also ends with Clary telling Alec she doesn't blame him for Jocelyn's death, and Maryse apologizing to Jace and telling her she does consider him her son. It's fairly sweet, really. Oh, and Maryse explains to Jace and Alec that while Robert and Maryse have been fighting, it's not because of Alec after all, it's because Robert is cheating on her. Which Alec guesses…somehow.
"You can't tell Isabelle."
Why not? That's jus ridiculous.
Alec offers Maryse to stay here with Max, but she can't, because she has to report to the Clave about Clary and the Sword situation, and…I don't know, they don't have emails in Idris, I guess.
We close the episode with Valentine acting nice to Madzie, which is actually genuinely creepy, and the less I see of this in the future, the happier I'll be.
This episode was…a lot more focused than the earlier episodes in the season, which is a thankful change. We still got a lot of PoV switches, but at least there was, you know, a central plot to the episode and not a million romantic subplots to the side. And I guess it did eventually try to make Maryse more sympathetic? Although it doesn't really redeem her open bigotry, so it's only a small victory. And Isabelle's addiction subplot combined with her speech to Raphael is downright insulting. So…it's a step up from most of the season so far, but we're not exactly in clear waters.
