all this going back & forth about whether to invest in a binder for occasional use only to learn I should proooobably go ahead and get top surgery to be safe
#mom just got diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer 🤙#prognosis not good!!#they didnt even discover she HAD breast cancer (despite regular mammograms) until they found bone lesions on an unrelated CT scan#so like#their recommendation for ME to just. idk maybe start getting mamograms earlier??#doesnt sound like the BEST way to avoid breast cancer lmao#esp since my moms mom had it and so did my dads sister#i dont even want a double mastectomy. i want a flat chest only like 10% of the time#fucked up how many of my friends WANT top surgery and cant get it covered meanwhile i dont want it and probably need it#and will... i think have it covered. maybe. idk kaiser's a bitch#(if it sounds like im being flippant about moms diagnosis and making it all about me its bc its too hard to talk about her. like its bad.)#(easier to think about my own stuff :/)#cw health issues#cw cancer
