Trekkers are waiting for the warm sunrise at Poon Hill to see a clear view of the Dhaulagiri Himalayas. You reach this hill station by walking around an hour from Ghorepani during the Poon Hill Trek, Annapurna Base Camp Trek, Khopra Danda Trek, and Annapurna View Trek. You can also pass through this viewpoint while you are on the Mohare Danda Trek. The Annapurna Circuit Trek ends after visiting this place and reaching Pokhara, but if you are on the Mardi Himal Trek or the Short Annapurna Base Camp Trek, you do not reach this hill.

Mt. Dhaulagiri is the highest mountain in western Nepal, and you can see a magnificent view from Poon Hill while doing the Poon Hill Trek, Annapurna Base Camp Trek, and Annapurna View Trek. You can also see this from Mohare and Khopra Hill during the Mohare Danda Trek and the Khopra Danda Trek. If you are on the Short Annapurna Base Camp Trek, you won’t see this mountain, but the Mardi Himal Trail is also the best trekking route to see this.
