Joram: The Film Review
A tale of survival, justice, and the Human Spirit!
Manoj Bajpai in Joram Film Plot: A man who travels from Jharkhand to Mumbai for work is the subject of this film. His wife is hanging one day when he gets home from work. He battles the thugs, defeats them, and escapes with his life. He flees from his wife in order to save his young daughter. Likewise, he arrives in his Jharkhand village. To apprehend him, a Mumbai policeman also travels there. Will he be apprehended by the policeman? Who assaulted his spouse? Why didn't he spin himself into the jurisdiction? To find the answers to all of these questions, you will need to see the film. Tone and Theme: The movie's tone is a thriller. It's an unconventional movie. The movie's theme is justice and survival, and it was made with the intention of winning both domestic and international accolades and being screened at film festivals. Characters and Acting: Manoj Bajpai does an excellent job portraying Dasru. His hair, makeup, beard, costume, and body language all perfectly reflected the character's attire, which he wore on his body and performed with all of his strength. For this role, he merits a nomination for an award and has the potential to win one. The performance of Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub as Ratnakar is also exceptional; he has made an effort to give the part his all. Smita Tambe did a fantastic job portraying Phulo, and she gave it her all in every way—from makeup and costume to body language, hairstyle, and jewelry. Tanishaa Mukherjee does a good job portraying Vano, and she plays Dasru's wife uniquely. Written and Directed: Devashish Makhija is the director of this movie. Prior to this, he had written screenplays and dialogue for other movies in addition to making short movies. In movies like Black Friday(2004) and Bunty Aur Babli(2005) he served as an assistant director alongside Anurag Kashyap and Shaad Ali. The majority of his films receive critical acclaim, attend film festivals, and take home prizes. In addition, he has directed critically acclaimed and award-winning movies like Ajji (2017) and Bhonsle (2018). He did a wonderful job directing this movie. He briefs narrative in a distinguishing method. Not only that, but he is in charge of the movie's tempo. He made an effort to tell a straightforward tale effectively. The film's narrative is distinct. Additionally, the screenplay is mediocre. By using original locations for filming, he has created a unique kind of film. All the scenes—whether they are in the train, the mines, or the village—have been effectively portrayed on screen. Cinematography: Piyush Puty does a good job with the camera work, the original location scenes shot well, and there aren't many aerial shots. Although Abhro Banerjee's editing well-balanced, it could have been tighter and a little slower. Dhiman Karmakar's sound design is excellent, particularly in the jungle sequences. Mangesh Dhakde's background score is magnificent and fits the plot of the movie. Action: Habib Syed and Riyaz Shaikh were fine; they didn't have much room. Subodh Srivastav's costume design is exceptional. Shamim Khan's production design is passable. Climax: It's really well-made. Viewpoint: Those who enjoy watching art movies. Rating: 6/10 Joram means infant Flaw: Dasru flees after Vano warns him not to go, leaving him unharmed. It incomprehensible why he failed to save his wife. 69th Filmfare Awards: It got 3 nominations in Best Story, Best Film (Critics), and Best Actor (Critics) categories and it won 2 awards for Best Story Devashish Makhija and Best Film (Critics) Devashish Makhija It Screened in many International Festivals DateScreening EventsLocationFebruary 2023International Film Festival RotterdamRotterdam, NetherlandsJune 202370th Sydney Film FestivalSydney, AustraliaJuly 2023Durban International Film FestivalDurban, South AfricaOctober 202328th Busan International Film FestivalBusan, South KoreaOctober 202359th Chicago International Film FestivalChicago, USA CBFC-U/A Movietime-2h.18mins Genre-Thriller Backdrop-Jharkhand Release Year-8 December, 2023 Cast: Manoj Bajpai, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub, Smita Tambe, Megha Mathur, Tanishtha Mukherjee Producer: Makhija film, Anupama Bose, Devashish Makhija, Written and Director: Devashish Makhija Cinematography: Piyush Puty, Editor: Abhro Banerjee, Sound Design: Dhiman Karmakar Background Score: Mangesh Dhakde, Casting: Casting Bay, Abhishek Banerjee, Anmol Ahuja Action: Riyaz Shaikh and Habib Sayed, Costume Design: Subodh Srivastav, Production Design: Shamim Khan Read the full article

Tubelight (2017) Review!!
‘Tubelight’ is disappointing as it rests on a poor plot and lacks the power to enthrall and mesmerize despite some likable camaraderie between the Khan brothers. #Tubelight, #SalmanKhan, #SohailKhan, #ZhuZhu, #MohammedZeeshanAyyub, #MatinReyTangu, #OmPuri
Synopsis – Tubelight is the story of a man’s unshakable faith in himself and the love for his brother.
My Take – People close to me are quite aware of the fact that despite being a Bollywood lover, I am not what you would call a ‘fan’ of Salman Khan, of course it’s nothing personal, it’s just that I believe for a performer who has been active for 28 years (Yup, that long!), you carry a…

Raees (2017) Review!!!
‘Raees’ is a well packaged 70s style nostalgic entertainer which despite its familiar tropes is worth watching for its captivating performances. #Raees, #ShahRukhKhan, #SRK, #MahiraKhan, #NawazuddinSiddiqui
Synopsis – Criticizing the prohibition of alcohol, prostitution and illegal drugs in Gujarat, this film unfolds the story of a cruel and clever bootlegger, whose business is challenged by a tough cop.
My Take – Finally, this much delayed gangster flick from director Rahul Dholakia has finally hit the screen! And it’s not alone, it brings back the memory of those great writers Salim-Javedblockbus…
