Magi Sadeq (wife of Mohamed Salah) often visits my local shopping centre with their youngest daughter. My sister works in Selfridges for one of the children’s clothing brands and has served her on multiple occasions. She hasn’t made it aware that she knows who she is but Magi is super polite and friendly. Also, she said her English is very good.

There’s No Way I’m Falling (Dejan fic) Chapter 15
HERE you can find my writing!
Warning: Hospitals, jealousy
Chapter 15: Classified information
Playing against Arsenal that night wasn’t as fun as it used to be. Since they were Mimi’s favorite team, he had almost wished that she would send him a message telling him how hard he was gonna lose. But, no… she was busy having fun with the kids. He had no idea why that bothered him so much, why he was so jealous about this.
Mo patted his back in the wardrobe at halftime. “What’s bothering you? You haven’t really showed what you’re good for” Great, he thought to himself, the entire world can see that he is bothered. He had JUST gotten accepted by most of the fans, why did he have to fuck it up so bad?
He just looked up at his friend and shook his head. “they felt kicks… and I am all the way over here… I feel like the worst dad in the world” he eventually admitted, being embraced in a hug from Mo right afterwards. As fast as he could feel his friends arm around him, he broke down crying into his chest. Tears he didn’t even know he was holding back.
“Play for the twins, show them all that you’re thinking about them” The Egyptian said as he had broken the hug and looked him straight in the eyes. “They know you love them more than anything” he added, before kissing Dejan’s head.
---
10 minutes left of the match, Dejan had gotten back into his usual, focused playing. Suddenly, he was face to face with Granit Xhaka. He goes in for a tackle, and he can only hear worried voices scream his name before everything goes black.
The next thing e knows, he wakes up in a hospital bed. He can’t really remember anything from the match, and there was a woman next to him now. He had no idea who she was, but damn she was pretty. He looked at the clock before closing his eyes again, just to rest him.
His eyes open again… 5 hours later. The woman, who he now recognizes as Mimi, was sleeping in the chair next to the bed. What the fuck had happened?
“Mr. Lovren, we’re pleased to see you waking up. You were in a tough tackle yesterday and was left unconscious after getting an arm to your head” a nurse, who seemed to have appeared out of thin air, explained to him. “We’re hoping to get you to Liverpool by tomorrow morning” she added with a smile. “Your fiancée came as fast as she could, and she hasn’t left your side since”.
He looked at her and felt a smile appear on his lips. “I’m lucky to have her” he told the nurse, his voice hoarse. By now he could feel the sharp pain in his head. “Could you help me wake her?” he then asked her, trying to sit up in his bed but quickly realized that was a very stupid idea.
“Of course… Ms…?” she looked at him as she tried to figure out her name
“López”
She put an arm on Mimi’s shoulder “Ms López… you should wake up” she gently shook her shoulder and Mimi answered with slowly opening her eyes.
The second she saw him, her eyes opened up wide and a huge smile appeared on her lips aswell. “DEJAN!” she squealed, before kissing his hand. The squeal made his head hurt like crazy, but her smile made it all worth it. “I’m sorry, are you feeling okay babe?” her worried face was so cute, he just wanted to kiss her, but that would be way too painful to go through with.
“My head hurts… but I will survive… the kids?” he had realized he had forgotten them by the middle of the sentence. He needed to know that they were okay, that they didn’t worry too much.
“The twins are excited to hear your voice…” she said while making a grimace, his heart skipped a beat. He was so in love with everything about his family. “The two others… know that you got injured, but they are with Magi” she told him, squeezing his hand slightly.
“How are they?” He needed to hear her say that they hadn’t seen it, he needed to hear that they only thought he might have hurt his foot a little.
“They are good honey, I should send Magi a picture of you so they’ll know you’re finally awake” oh great, they knew about how bad it was. “They have been a little shaken after we saw the match” did she have to add that?
As Mimi took the selfie of them, he faked a smile, the kids couldn’t know how much pain he actually was in. The nurse took a long look at him, before she wrote down something. “You should try to get up on your feet, Mr. Lovren” she told him, with a soft voice. She was so much sweeter than Mimi right now, but then again, it was her job to take care of him. Mimi was probably stressed about everything going on in her life.
*Mimi’s POV*
“No…No…No..No” Why wasn’t Dejan moving? He was laying on the pitch after getting one of her favorite players arms in the head.
“Why isn’t Tata moving” As Elena asked that, Mimi realized that she was in fact sitting with the kids. She looked over at them and saw the horror in their faces.
She held them both close for a second and kissed their head. “Tata is gonna be okay sweeties, Let’s go to Magi and I will find out what’s going on okay?” They both nodded, and Mimi grabbed some stuff and took the kids to Salah’s house.
When Magi opened the door, she and Mimi only looked at each other, both clearly panicked. “Come on in, we can call Mohamed and ask what he knows” she greeted them and stepped aside to let them come in. “I’m guessing you might have to go to London, so I have made beds for the kids”
Mimi’s head was just spinning so bad, and after Magi had called Mo, she even needed help to get the tickets to go to be with him. She had hardly even heard what was wrong with Dejan. Watching Magi taking care of both her and Dejo’s kids was so helpful for Mimi, it made it easier for her to just say bye to the kids and get in the car to get to the train station.

After almost a day of waiting, he finally opened his eyes. He looked so confused, as if he didn’t even recognize her. Just as she was about to say hi to him, he closed his eyes again. She couldn’t help the fear in her entire body that he was gonna wake up and not know who she was, that she’d have to tell the kids that their dad wouldn’t recognize them. Another fear was that he was never gonna be himself anymore, that something had happened to him when he go the injury.
The doctors had said that it wasn’t serious, but what if it was. What if she would lose him, that the kids would lose him because of it. These thoughts swirled around in her head for two more hours before she fell asleep, finally being peaceful and away from her destructive thoughts.
---
When he had finally woken up and started to try to walk a little, Mimi had just sat there and watched. Her entire body burning with jealousy as the extremely cute nurse held around him and constantly touched him, to help him but still. She had never been territorial with boyfriends before, but that nurse was touching his butt a little bit more than Mimi could let slip.
After some painful hours, for both of them, he was finally done and was told that if he wanted to go home, he didn’t have to wait any longer. Mimi had never been more happy about anything in her life, he was good considering the circumstances, and that nurse wouldn’t be able to touch him again.
Well on the train, Mimi looked over at him as he massaged his temples. “Does it hurt a lot?” she managed to ask as she stroked his back lovingly.
“Yeah… also you shouldn’t be jealous you know?” was that a smirk? That bastard was smirking! “you’re the one I’m marrying, not the nurse” he added and kissed her head.
“You noticed…”
“Of course I did, I looked at you the second her hand touched my butt… you were about to go batshit crazy” he stated and made her smile a little. “she even asked what the twins’ names were”
Mimi looked at him, not sure whether he would tell a complete stranger that or not. “What did you say?”
“I said it was classified information” at least the dorkiness hadn’t been affected by the injury, and she loved that. Dejan’s dorkiness was one of her favorite things with being with him.
