I love that this post revives itself every so often, because TPoH is an awesome comic that deserves more hype!

Fun fact, the Volume 4 Kickstarter is actually live RIGHT NOW and we're just over 1k away from the goal! Tumblr is being weird about letting me add links in the reblog but you can check @modmad 's blog for an accurate link to the comic and Kickstarter!

If You’ve been around Tumblr a while, you’ll probably recognize the artwork of @modmad

Be it from her lovely dhmis work…

Or maybe from her gravity falls period…

Or maybe from osomatsu-san?

Or mp100?

Or perhaps you may know her as the person who singlehandedly built/revived the Magicstone tag and the Gladstone gander fandom

Or even from her thesis film, Skip

She even did some great work in the Steam Powered Giraffe and Ace Attourney fandoms, as i’m told

Why am I bringing all of this up?

Because mod is currently working on a kickstarter to publish a second volume of her webcomic, The Property of Hate!

As you can see, as of today, October 30th, there are only 9 days to go and we’re barely halfway there

Why should you care about Tpoh? Well, in addition to being a charming, heartwrenching, pun-filled and exciting adventure, it also features an extremely diverse cast of characters. The main characters are a young british-indian girl and her telly-headed guide (who is canonically pansexual, with both a girlfriend and an ex boyfriend appearing in canon). There are a wonderful pair of wives, a nonbinary main character as well as a genderfluid one, and all kinds of amazing twists and turns. Not to mention the art is amazing

Basically, if you’re not reading it already, you definitely should. And you should also help Mod make this amazing step forward into getting her story out to a broader audience.

If you haven’t jumped in yet but have been considering it, please pledge something now. It’s been up for over a week I believe and it hasn’t gotten even passed its halfway marker! I’m just a bit worried.

I doubt it’ll make it the whole way at this point because most people that have been waiting for this KS has already made their pledge. And this means it’s likely we won’t get enough new pledgers to reach the goal if it wasn’t already close to the end at the end of the first week. (I could be wrong but i ‘unno)

Please consider donating something! 

If you’ve been wanting to support the Kickstarter, please do it before you miss it!  It’s basically $25 for the physical book if this comes to fruition but it won’t happen at all if potential pledgers don’t pledge. lol;

Or you can help spread the news in other places where they may not have seen it yet! (other social media, or irl friend that you can persuade or something)

Did ya know that modmad has a kickstarter? Specifically to physically print their fairy tale, “The Princess and the Jester?” Annndd if the stretch goal is reached, the Property of Hate books will also be reprinted? Hellllll yeah >:O

Oh, and this is the colored drawing from this art trade :D. Was going to color this SOMEDAY, but now seemed like the appropriate time.

These are both delightfully gorgeous and I am very very very happy with them! You and your stories have been a huge inspiration for years and it’s such an honor to get the chance to have something like this. Absolutely worth it and thank you so much!

So I’ve always been obsessed with @modmad ‘s art style and her comics, and to sorta congratulate her on her awesome kickstarter for TPOH, I wanted to draw her a little MagicStone! (Also I just wanted an excuse to draw Gladstone’s hair but woah woops it turned into this, great)

(Sorry for shouting lol but) Anyways, even if you have, i think you should take a look at these cuties!! Hero is in her new outfit and is reading a book with Assok and TOby~

Assok stayed behind at the Emporium and TOby got dumped by Dial so CAN WE JUST HAVE NICE THINGS? and I really want this Kickstarter to go through, not only for Volume 2 to exist but also for these super adorable stickers to exist.

I prefer to have a clean cover for my sketch book but I WANT THEM ON MY COVER. Give me the happies!
