I hate how ai talk is all about no more artists, push button and art comes out.

On twitter someone mentioned that they want better ai for unwrapping uvs and they got told that 2d image generation ai has to be perfected before we can do 3d ai and my brain is still exploding.

The logic was that the computer has to understand how 2d looks to understand how to make the 3d into a 2d image. That ai that conveniences a modeler isn't as important as how the audience views the end object.

The more I think about this the more I want to scream.

#there is more to animated movies and game design than making the object look pretty!!!#modelers want better ai tools to speed up moving between ten billion programs to texture their object #and also to speed up making it less poly heavy and still be able to be weighted for rigging without ripping your hair out #it's not modeler convenience it is making sure I dont break your freakin rig as an animator #also RENDERING that is the step of making that 3d matrix math heavy image look like a 2d still #it has to crunch all that math to figure out what surface is reflecting what light it isnt a one stop shop that 2d ai will fix oh my god #ITS ALL DISGUSTING MATH YOU GUYS THAT GETS HIDDEN BY HUMAN FRIENDLY GUI
