Divergence from Canon

Ino’s childhood is the same as canon. She is the only child of her father, joined the academy where she met Sakura and they became friends. She obsessed over Sasuke and formed a rivalry with Sakura over him. However when she was younger she spent more time with Shikamaru and Choji than shown in canon.

Once she was put on team 10 she easily got along with Shikamaru and Choji as the three had practically been raised together. She was never mean to Choji over his weight as Inoichi made sure to teach the young Ino about the Nara and Akimichi clan jutsus. She would occasionally tease him, like affectionately calling him a “Teddy Bear” when they were younger.

When Sasuke left the village Ino was devastated, and held a grudge on Shikamaru for awhile for not putting her on the Sasuke Retrieval Mission Team (both for the fact she wanted to bring Sasuke back and that Shikamaru brought 2/3 of the Ino-Shika-Cho formation and not her). She would chide Shikamaru for years for not bringing her. However half way into the 3 year gap Ino began to get over Sasuke and moved on.Though she does still find him attractive, she doesn’t obsessively crush over him anymore and is in fact quite angry at him for leaving.

Beyond that everything progresses fairly normally apart from the fact that Ino does not start dating Sai and by the Gaiden era has no kids by default. Though she cannot deny that Sai is incredibly hot.

Divergence from Canon

Hinata’s backstory remains the same until the preliminaries of the Chunin exams. This is where I diverge from Canon.

When Hinata got beaten by Neji she realized something, she needed to take things SERIOUSLY. Like more seriously than she had in the past, she couldn’t expect other people to save her. She had to save herself, she had to prove Neji wrong.

After Neji lost to Naruto in the finals Hinata approached Neji and asked him to train her, she didn’t want him to hold back. She really wanted to learn how to be a great shinobi. While training with Neji and her father Hinata became a little less shy and more forward, she no longer obsessed over Naruto or followed behind in his shadow.

Apart from this, things are fairly the same for Hinata. She went on all the same missions she went on in canon but she handled them much differently. She acted with more confidence and without as much self-doubt.

When Pain destroys Konoha, Hinata still tries to protect Naruto; but instead of confessing her love to Naruto she claims “Working together makes us stronger than acting alone. Konoha is with you Naruto-kun, never forget that” before being knocked out by Pain.

She learned a little bit of medical ninjutsu from Sakura because she had always had an interest in being able to help those who were hurt. But she doesn’t consider herself a medical ninja by any means. She has and always will consider herself part of the special sensory class.

While growing up, as she gave up on her silly obsession with Naruto she began to develop a little bit of a crush on her teammate Shino. However it never went to the extent of the crush she had on Naruto and she never brought it up with Shino as she was unsure how he would feel. This does mean though that Hinata will bond better with Shino blogs, this is not me trying to force a ship. Just because Hinata treats your Shino fondly and may often be a bit more shy with him than other people, this doesn’t mean we have to ship it.

Hinata is also still considered the Heiress of the Hyuga clan, due to her quick and steady improvement after the Chunin exams (and achieving Chunin rank in the secondary exams) her father chose to give her another chance as his successor. However this caused a rift between Hinata and Hanabi. Hanabi is the only person who Hinata does not refer to with proper honorifics. In fact, Hinata often seems rather cold towards her sister and her sister is often outright hostile towards her. Hanabi returns this hostilities, a drastic change from what they used to be like as young children. The competition over the heiress title drove a seemingly irreparable wedge between the two.

During the war, things progressed fairly normal apart from two major divergences. First off, Neji did not die. During the fight against Obito, Neji tried to keep Naruto from getting involved so that he wouldn’t get hurt. Hinata sided with her cousin and told Naruto he needed to pull back from the fight. One of the spikes came down, almost hitting both Hyugas. Neji pushed Hinata out of the way, but Naruto used his chakra to pull Neji out of the way before the spike could hit him. It landed inches away from all of them. Secondly, Hinata’s Infinite Tsukuyomi dream was vastly different. She was hanging onto Shino at the time the Infinite Tsukuyomi happened and so their dreams ended up connected. In their dreams they were married and Hinata worked at the orphanage while Shino did research on insects. In the dream Shino still discovered a new breed of beetle and returned home to tell Hinata, around that time they both would have began to realize something wasn’t quite right. However, like the other victims of the dreams they gave in and accepted it.

When not on missions or training Hinata can be found either tending her garden in the Hyuga compound or taking a walk in the woods nearby the village. Sometimes she can also be found at Kiba’s house playing with Akamaru or at Shino’s house reading if she needs a quiet place to hang out.

Appearance wise, Hinata wears long pants like she did in Shippuden, the grayish-lavender top she wore in Naruto: The Last, boot-like sandals like Ino and Sakura have been seen wearing and her hair hanging down. Around her neck is a choker with a metal plate that had the Leaf symbol on it. During missions she pulls her hair back into a ponytail.

Hinata is incredibly ashamed and embarrassed of her behavior as a child, she regrets heavily all the time she wasted following after Naruto. These feelings of regret are so strong that the memory of this behavior is actually very triggering and often causes her to become depressed

1. Mun is 21+, Muse is at least 18+ by default. So there can and will be smut. I will not smut with minor muns or muses 2. Don’t reblog threads you aren’t apart of 3. I WILL NOT RP WITH PERSONAL BLOGS, I HAVE BAD EXPERIENCES WITH THESE KINDS OF RPS 10. Don’t force ships. 11. I don’t mind grammar issues as long as I can understand you, i know not everyone speaks English or has English as a second language. Plus my grammar isn’t the best either. 12. I don’t RP: Foot Fetishes, Water Sports, Scat, Rape Fetish or pedophilia 13. Tag images of spiders and clusters of holes in the human body. For these simply use the tags ‘spider’ and ‘trypto’ respectively. Spiders are a legit phobia of mine, but tryptophobia is more of a squick. It makes me SUPER uncomfortable but isn’t going to send me into a panic attack. Spiders however WILL cause me to have a panic attack. 14. This is a canon divergent blog. My Ino will act a little more different than Canon, by default she is NOT married or dating and does NOT have children. Do not assume your Inojin is my Ino’s daughter, she will act like she doesn’t know what youre talking about. Likewise if youre other Boruto: The Next Generation muses, don’t assume Ino has kids, she’ll be confused 15. I do not send in passwords. Assume that if Im following you (look for gentlegrace), I have read your rules. Passwords make me anxious, I will never require one for any of my blogs and I wont follow people who do require them. 16. I cannot handle autoplay on blogs. It startles me and causes a bit of disorientation and sensory overload, especially when I cannot find where to turn it off. Do not expect me to follow back if you have autoplay, however if I do happen to follow back, I will look at your rules once and probably rarely visit your blog after that. Blogs with autoplay can still interact with me and RP with me, but all your replies will be done strictly from mobile, as that is the only way I can visit your blog without suffering sensory overload. 17. DO NOT TRY TO SAY MY MUSE SHOULD NOT BE UNCOMFORTABLE IN A SITUATION JUST BECAUSE YOURS HAS A DISABILITY. It is fine if your muse DOES things because of a disability, but EXPECT my muse to be uncomfortable not not okay with it.

1. Take your time with replies. I am online pretty much all the time so I reply pretty quickly. Don’t feel pressured to reply as soon as I do, I understand you have your own life and things to do. Sometimes you just don’t feel it. That’s cool 2. If i don’t reply after 1 week TELL ME I PROBABLY FORGOT OKAY :3 3. My IM and ask box are always open, don’t be afraid to use them. 4. I don’t practice “Reblog Karma” so feel free to reblog a meme from me without sending it. However if you do send me the meme before reblogging, im more likely to send it back. 5. Things I WILL NOT stop RPing with you for: Race, Ethnicity, Religion, Culture, Traditions, Beliefs, Mental State, Disability (or lack thereof), sexual orientation, gender expression, headcanons, ships 6. Things I WILL stop RPing with you for: Shitty attitudes (I.E hateful speech, discrimination), Pedophilia, Starting unnecessary drama, Treating me or my friends like shit, forcing ships, godmodding 7. You do not have to match my length. My lengths vary depending on the thread and my partner. I don’t like “fluffing” up my replies, this means I wont write 5 paragraphs when I can get my point across in 2-3 lines. Sometimes my replies can be a bit shorter but theyre never lacking in quality. I write to the best of my ability and I don’t expect you to return my 2 paragraph reply with 2 paragraphs of your own, because sometimes I cant do that either. PSA

(( Okay, I know I’ll probably lose followers for this....but I have to do this for my own health. I pushed myself WAY too hard and took in new people before I was ready to because Im bad at telling people no.

As of right now I’m going to change some things. To the new people I started things with, I want to address you first: If we already started a thread, I’m NOT going to drop it...but the threads are going on ice. Okay, so. I’m going to shift my activity to a Main-biased preference. I’ll accept asks and memes from anyone, but I’m only going to thread with people Im comfortable with right now. I need to relax and do whats best for me so I dont burn out. RP is a hobby, not a job.

Im sorry if this upsets anyone but I’ve recently been suffering from a bad depressive episode and paranoia which has lead to me coming dangerously close to a burnout. I’ve overloaded myself and I need to take a step back. However I still love RP so i dont wanna walk away completely. I just need to step back and remind myself what it is I love about RPing.

I hope most of you will stick around and continue to enjoy my writing until I start to feel better, but if you feel like you’d rather leave because I wont be interacting with you....i dont blame you and Im sorry. Maybe in the future we can try again ))
