── ◜ ⪩⪨ ◞ synopsis ㆍ﹒nagi enjoys running errands if the two of you go together. & ໒꒰ྀི ´ ꒳ ` ꒱ྀིა notes: baby’s first blue lock fic !! honestly i’m supa nervous bc i haven’t written 4 them before n i’m still figuring things out but i hope u enjoy reading this anw <333
“this date is so tiring,” nagi laments for the fifth time since you stepped through the automated sliding doors of the neighborhood supermarket. he blows out a breath from his puffed cheeks, sounding as if he is on the verge of collapsing while you browse the shelves for pantry essentials and late night snacks. “when can we go home?”
a trendy song from a summer spotify mix croons over the tinny speakers overhead, its bubblegum pop lyrics interrupted every now and then by a cheery voice advertising new items and upcoming discounts. the supermarket is busier than when you and seishiro usually stop by, which isn’t all that surprising considering it’s the end of the day. college students carry armfuls of instant ramen and sugary sodas for study sessions and old ladies browse for medicinal teas while parents push full carts of groceries, ignoring their wailing children who press their little noses against the frosty glass of the freezers, begging to be given overpriced ice creams locked away inside.
and you resist the urge to roll your eyes with exasperation, glancing over to where your boyfriend leans heavily on the handle of the cart he has been tasked with pushing for you— his long fingers tapping away at a mobile game on the screen of his phone.
“that’s because,” you begin, wagging a finger at him when you turn around and toss an item into the bottom of the cart. “it’s not a date, sei. i told you that i had to run errands today and you insisted on coming with me when you hate it.”
“‘s’boring at home when you’re not there, so it seemed like a good idea at first,” he shrugs, rolling the cart further down the aisle when you’re on the move again. slothy, midwinter gray eyes drag lazily over your body— taking in the way your faded t-shirt (which is, really, just one of his old ones) rides up a little on your body, exposing the cute little dimples in the soft part of your back as you stand on your tiptoes, struggling to reach one of the higher shelves in the freezer section.
you are well aware that nagi hates daily tasks. things such as making the bed in the morning, washing the dishes after dinner, or visiting the laundromat once a week requires too much energy from your drowsy footballer boyfriend, but it makes you happy to know that he tries, even if he falls asleep while doing it; that he will do anything if you are involved, and nothing if you aren’t.
like right now, he abandons his mobile game and the shopping cart in the middle of the aisle without care to come over and help you, making a mother of two-under-two glare at him viciously. he snorts, sliding his hand into the back pocket of your denim shorts, a romantic comedy habit of his when the two of you are walking anywhere together. nagi’s head tilts cutely to one side, blinking owlishly up at the shelves. “which one d’you wanna get, shortstack?”
“i am not short,” you huff, twisting your mouth to one side at his teasing, but you point to the item you want— an assorted pack of ice lollies. “shelves are designed against short people. and i dunno— are we in the mood for ice cream or popsicles?”
it’s hard to make a decision because freezers full of summer treats line both sides of the aisle. tubs of gourmet gelatos, variety packs of creamy ice candies, and an endless selection of mochi with custard fillings in the middle that make your mouth water at the thought of bringing them home with you.
“i’ll eat them no matter what anyway,” he shrugs, unwilling to be the one to choose, but then his gray eyes glance down at your lips, then back to the items in front of you. you swear that his eyes darken to a stormier color, even though his expression never changes. “you make cute sounds when you suck on ice pops, and you always taste sweet after. get those.”
and then he faces forward, browsing the selection of ice creams with interest, as if his words didn’t short circuit a current in your brain. you’ll never understand how seishiro can say the most outlandish things so casually, only to return to what he’s doing while you’re left attempting to calm your fast heart.
“ice pops it is,” you say, a little winded. “make sure to get the second pack, and not the first.”
“mhnn, why’s it matter? the second one’s farther back. they all look the same to me.”
“they’re not. the first is one everybody has touched or returned.”
“that . . . makes sense,” he considers it, then he nods, lips formed into a little ‘o’ shape. “okay, we’ll get the second one.”
you watch as he steps forward, pushing the first pack of ice lollies aside to select the second as you requested, reaching the item with ease and heavens, it’s moments like these when you are reminded just how much bigger seishiro is. he’s always towered over your shorter height and it’s so, so unfair how he uses it to his advantage, making your tummy burn at the sight. frosty air wafts from the open door of the freezer, bringing chills over your heated skin. “‘s a good thing i was here, since you’re so little— there was no way you could reach it.”
“‘m not little,” you mumble, all pouty because nagi is squishing your cheeks between two finger pads. “you’re just so tall. it’s unfair.”
“want me to be shorter?” he asks, and before you can ask what he means, nagi drops the pack of ice pops into your hands and deflates dramatically, bending down to drape himself over your frame. his head tucked against your shoulder, the footballer’s milky fringe tickling the skin of your neck as he closes his eyes. “man, now ‘m even more tired.”
“seishiro, you’re heavy.”
“i know,” he sighs, eyes shuttering below thick lashes, but he makes no effort to move away from your body. instead, his hand slithers under your shirt. making you shiver because his fingertips are dewy and cold from the arctic blast of the freezer and the frozen treat he picked up. you hiss, squirming under his touch as his fingers trail across your belly. “but i’m tired ‘n’ you feel s’soft, like a pillow.”
“nagi, off,” you wheeze, his extra weight making it hard for you to properly breathe. it’s easy to forget how solid he is, straight lines of athletic muscle that usually has you cow-eyed and cooing, as long as it’s not weighing you down in the middle of a supermarket. you try to shake him off, but the midfielder only squeezes you against his body even tighter, his slightly damp lips pressing a kiss to the nape of your neck, sending a shiver down your spine. “we’re never gonna get anything done like this, you lazy boy. if you don’t wanna walk, go wait in the sitting area with the grandpas.”
he sighs in defeat and shakes his head, pressing his lips together in that cute frown he pulls whenever he’s thinking. then, he’s dropping his arms from you suddenly. “mmhn, got a better idea.”
“and what’s that—”
you face nagi, only to catch your boyfriend with one foot in the shopping cart as he tries to hoist himself over the railing and inside of the basket.
“sei, you can’t fit in there—!” your eyes flicker between him, and the elderly man judging the two of you at the other end of the aisle. “you’re too big.”
“you’re always saying things like that,” he says, and the innuendo intertwined in the words flies over your pretty head because with one boost, he’s hopping over the railing and sinking into the cart, the metal rattling in protest. you stand there, dumbstruck as he settles. “now i can stay with you without walking.”
“yeah, but now that means i have to push you,” you grumble. “i should leave you here and get a new cart.”
but it’s hard to refuse when your boyfriend is that cute. his impossibly long legs are folded against his chest so that he can fit inside the shopping cart comfortably, taking extra care not to crush any of the delicate items surrounding him. the lower half of his face is buried into the collar of his soft hoodie as he absently chews on the drawstrings, but you can still see the sanrio bandaid you put on him yesterday after he got a nasty elbow to the cheek during football practice.
even though you two are already receiving strange looks from other shoppers passing by, you grip the handle, pushing the cart and your boyfriend dutifully, rolling it onto the next aisle.
“you look ridiculous,” you tell him, but you’re grinning. “but here, you’re on list duty. what do we need to get next?”
nagi’s eyes dutifully scan over the shopping list open in the notes app of your phone, his fingernail scrolling the screen lightly.
“it says ‘ramen because my greedy athlete bf keeps eating it all’ so y’need to get . . . oi, you mean me—”
“i wonder who wrote that there,” you whistle innocently, plucking the device out of his hands, wheeling him away fast.
the rest of your shopping trip is a blur, except for you turning a corner too fast and nearly dumping him out of the cart or the weird looks shoppers continue to give you because by the time you’re lining up in the queue, nagi is buried under the items because he takes up too much space. there’s a bag of rice on one shoulder, a pack of ramen on the other and fresh radishes sprouting from the snowy peaks of his head. not to mention, he’s still holding the pack of ice pops, condensation dripping over his hands.
“you’re making them melt, sei.” because he runs hot a heated blanket in the summer, and you can sympathize with the poor popsicles being defrosted in his big hands.
“‘m gonna eat one so they won’t— oh, hey this one is lemon,” he says, prying open the cardboard lid and tearing open the plastic wrapper of a lemon crème ice pop. tongue peeking out to lick before he’s holding it over his shoulder for you to taste next. “try it. i don’t sound as cute as you when i eat them.”
“sei, you’re not supposed to open those before we—” but nagi pushes the cold treat between your lips insistently, your eyes rounding wide, whining in protest as the ice pop hits your sensitive teeth. but it does taste good— creamy, sweet and sour flavors coating the surface of your tongue. “oh, it’s sh’good. we should get another pack.”
“see? y’make the cutest sounds when you suck it.”
“shut up, seishiro.”
you begin placing the items on the conveyor belt, listening to the irritating bleep, bleep, bleep of the scanner as the cashier rings up each product. you’re not frugal, but you peep at the total on the screen every now and then with a wince.
“that’s it for you, or are you buying the man in your cart too, ma’am?” the cashier asks, glancing at nagi as he finishes off the melting ice pop in the shopping cart, chin resting on top of his knees.
“no,” and you giggle, cheeks warming as you roll your eyes in exasperation. “this one is already mine.”

Find the Best Icecream Cart for Sale in Your Area
Starting an ice cream cart business can be an exciting and profitable venture. Whether you are a seasoned entrepreneur or just exploring a new business opportunity, finding the perfect icecream cart for sale. Follow these five steps to ensure you make the best choice.
Determine Your Budget:
Firstly, understanding your budget is essential when looking for an ice cream cart for sale. The market offers a wide range of options, from basic carts to fully equipped models. It is important to consider not just the initial cost, but also any potential maintenance or customization expenses. Establishing a clear budget will allow you to focus on carts that fit your financial plan.
Research Different Cart Types:
Next, research the various types of ice cream carts available. The design, size, and features can vary significantly depending on the manufacturer. Some carts are designed for specific ice cream types, such as soft serve or gelato, while others are more versatile. Understanding the differences will help you select a cart that aligns with your business goals. Additionally, consider the materials used, as this can affect durability and ease of cleaning. Doing thorough research will give you a better understanding of what is available on the market.
Consider the Mobility and Storage:
Another critical factor is the mobility and storage capacity of the ice cream cart. Depending on where you plan to operate, you may need a cart that is easy to move and store. If your business will involve traveling between locations, opt for a cart that is lightweight and has durable wheels. On the other hand, if you plan to stay in one spot, a larger cart with ample storage for supplies might be more appropriate. Evaluating your operational needs will ensure you choose a cart that supports your business model.
Evaluate Customization Options:
Furthermore, customization can make your ice cream cart stand out. Many sellers offer options to personalize your cart with branding, colors, and additional features. Customization can be a great way to attract customers and enhance your brand's visibility. Think about what will make your cart unique and appealing to your target audience. From adding a canopy to incorporating a music system, the possibilities are endless. Considering these options will allow you to create a cart that not only meets your functional needs but also reflects your brand identity.
Review Seller Reputation and Support:
Finally, review the reputation and customer support of the seller offering the ice cream cart for sale. A reputable seller will provide detailed information about the cart’s features, warranty, and after-sales service. Checking customer reviews and testimonials can give your insight into the experiences of other buyers. Moreover, ensure that the seller offers reliable customer support in case you encounter any issues with the cart. Choosing a trustworthy seller will give you peace of mind and ensure that you have support when you need it.
In Conclusion:
finding the right icecream cart for sale involves careful consideration of your budget, research into different cart types, assessment of mobility and storage, exploration of customization options, and review of the seller's reputation. By following these steps, you will be well on your way to starting a successful ice cream business.

The Sweet Symphony of Summer: Exploring the Iconic Ice Cream Vans of Sydney
With the warmer months on the horizon, there is one stereotypical summertime theme that has the ability to epitomise the June/July sunshine in Australia – the sound of an ice cream van throughout Sydney. They are brightly coloured, often play traditional jingles to appeal to the client and provide tasty pastries such as ice creams, sweets, etc. Despite their mundaneness they have a special place in the heart of Sydney’s residents which is why in the current article we will precisely examine the Sidewinder ice cream vans.
Some of the early ice cream vans were the basic commercial vehicles that were used in transporting food products, but as the business grew, it was redesigned to take a distinctive shape.
Historically, the beginnings of the ice cream van can be dated back to as early as the 1900s where the food carriage or the tricycle were used to sell ice cream in cities. With the development of the automobile industry, the traditional frozen cart was transferred to motorised vehicles that include refrigeration compartments to expand the variety of frozen products that can be sold in a mobile fashion.
For many years now, ice cream vans or small trucks have been a common sight in Sydney; brands such as Mr Whippy and Frosty boy remain admired. These vans soon started their daily routine of visiting parks, beaches, and community functions; they provided a very much-needed relief from the extreme heat of the Australian sun.
Cultural Significance
If there is one thing that Australians cherish more than anything else, it is an ice cream van, where people can find tasty treats for themselves during hot summer days, where children can go on a joy ride through fields and woods and where people can meet and share positive emotions. For many Sydneysiders, an ice cream van is kind of a stimulus that creates specific images and sounds related to the Coming of the ice cream man and the subsequent chase for the ‘ice cream’.
However misleading this perception may sound, ice cream vans are not just outlets for giving out tasty desserts; they are also sources of social interaction and unity. Car lovers park their vehicles outside ice cream vans which are stationed at local parks and beaches as people happily enjoy their respective ice creams sharing stories and joy. Therefore, by creating a throwback ice cream novelty van with Intelligentsia coffee, Velez provides an authentic experience that reminds the viewers of a more innocent age and rises above the currently popular digital distractions.
Tasting the New Concept of Ice Cream
Despite such scenarios belonging to the realm of ice cream van related dreams still existing, modern incarnations offer keys to a very different kind of experience. Present day ice cream truck bring such a magnificent variety of frozen treats starting from the now-famous soft-serve cones and silky gelato, up to popsicles with insane and rich flavours that are as varied as they can get and healthy options for the vegetarians out there.
Some of the key ideas of glass display magazine included social and environmental responsibility in concept designs as well as effective communication of concepts and ideas. Some vendors opt to buy locally to decrease their supply chain distance, promote sustainable agricultural methods and embrace environmentally friendly materials such as recyclable material for packaging. Some of the ones are as follows: Some companies interact with local communities providing sponsorship for events and making some contributions to worthy causes from the sales they make.
In Sydney, Ice cream vans can be hired in many places as explained below.
In Sydney, ice cream is well-known and available from numerous outlets throughout the city, which makes the competition stiff. Whether you are at the beach, in the park, at the marketplace, or on the sidewalks, one thing is almost certain – a van that sells ice creams is not far off in Sydney.
Some popular spots to find ice cream vans in Sydney include:Some popular spots to find ice cream vans in Sydney include:
Bondi Beach: Some beaches like the famous Bondi are popular haunts of ice cream vans especially during the hotter months.
Circular Quay: Postcard perfect scenario: tourists and passerby’s walk around Circular Quay and simultaneously get to look at such popular icons as the Sydney Opera House and the Harbor Bridge, besides, tourists cannot resist an ice cream van which can be met along the sea-shore.
Hyde Park: This vast park in the central part of Sydney is popular among families, people who want to have a picnic, and sport exploitation of various kinds – and last but not the least – here people can encounter an ice cream van.
Famously associated with colourful culture, enhanced beauty and relaxed atmosphere of life, the icy trucks of Sydney contribute an additional sweetness into the totality of the overall Sydney experience. This is the case particularly when the tunes of ice-cream vans are familiar, whether you are a local enjoying the cerstoony flavours of your childhood, you are the traveller seeing a rather exotic side of Aussie hospitality. The next time the tune of the ice cream man’s van rings out, make sure to chase the sound – because there really is no feeling quite like taking a bite of a sweet, cold mouthful of frozen goodness on a warm summer’s day in Sydney.

Ice Cream Omens — Aziraphale and Crowley each operate ice cream carts in the local market district. Aziraphale serves locals his gelato in classic waffle cones while Crowley lures tourists with trendy $20 rolled ice cream. They’re technically vicious* rivals but when the city starts ‘cleaning up’ informal businesses from the streets, they make an unlikely pair to stand against the mobile vendor apocalypse. (more rambling under the cut)
*and by vicious, I mean Crowley pokes jokes at Aziraphale’s tartan tent covering and Aziraphale heavily implies that rolled ice cream has an inferior eating texture. They yell this slander at each other from across the aisles whenever there’s a lull in business. The other vendors think they should get a room.
Mr. A. Z. Fell’s Travelling Ice Cream Parlour: Aziraphale is a local fixture, serving fresh-churned gelato in three new flavours each day with names no one understand because they have no correlation to the flavor. He adores the Western ice cream parlour aesthetic, and he loves playing the part of the friendly neighborhood ice cream man — but don’t you dare complain about him not having the flavour you wanted today.
They See Me Rollin’: Crowley recently joined the neighborhood vendor scene with his sleek, modern cart where he makes stir-fried ice cream a.k.a. rolled ice cream on his flash (bastard) pan. He appreciates the customizable flavors, show-offy preparation, and most of all, the ability to charge tourists a 500% markup on extremely basic ingredients. On a good day, he can get an hour-long line outside his cart.

Life in Alexandria After One Month
I love routine, and I love variety. I think I might love the most establishing a routine out of what felt like variety. Most days have the same frame, and are wonderful. I imagine I might need to switch it up if I were staying for longer than 6 weeks, but this is perfect. I can small talk and sometimes medium talk with everyone in my daily path, I get the smile and nod and greeting from being a regular customer, and I feel like I’m burrowing just a little bit into the fabric of my little piece of Alexandria.
It’s not all rosy –although I want to end with the rosy stuff- so just out front, there are things that were small at first and are now more grating than before, and I don’t always handle them gracefully. This list is nothing that hasn’t been said before, but I do want to balance out the lovefest I’m going to lay out on Alexandria in about three paragraphs. So here’s the other:
-Trash, trash, everywhere. Thrown everywhere. Blown everywhere. It smells, it gets in the water, there’s so much plastic waste. I have to train myself not to see it or care -dream swim at the beach starts with wading through bags for a meter or two- and I’m probably only successful 40% of the time.
-Water and electricity shortages. Our school –one of the top language schools in Alexandria- has no running water most of the time. We fill up buckets when there is. Sometimes my elevator doesn’t work and then it’s 9 flights of stairs.
-Walking with female friends of any kind gets whispers upon whispers, never mind what my female friends have to deal with themselves when they’re alone. At night, cafes are almost all men, and there’s often a weird aggressive energy in the air.
-Smoking cigarettes everywhere. Everywhere. In the school classrooms, in the tiny indoor spaces we hang out, in the cafes up close and personal. I get it, it’s the culture and I chose to come here. I haven’t asked anyone to stop smoking. But it smells like burning garbge to me, so I just move away. It means I move away a lot; from friends, from interesting conversations, from otherwise perfect places.
-There are a lot of people asking for money in every public and semi-public space, always, kids included, and/or people carting their sick relatives around and asking for money for hospitals. I’m glad it’s not hidden, this is a country that’s hurting economically in a big way for most people, but it’s a hard decision to make each time. Most of the time I don’t give; I want to give a bigger gift to our local mosque that provides food services before I go. But sometimes I do. To older women, to people with obvious physical handicaps...And then I think there are so very many people like that, and I can’t give money to all of them, and then another voice says well they’re eating now, and then they go back and forth. Just something to sit with.
But then, I feel unbelievably lucky here –I am-, and I feel grateful to the little ruts of daily tracks I’ve made this past month.
I wake up around 8:30. I transfer myself to the couch near the sun and wind (I live on the 9th floor) I snooze until 9, unthinkable during the school year, I wrestle my wrought iron spiderweb of a door open, and take the elevator down. I pass the neighborhood old men, use the traditional greeting. They let loose a string of traditional replies at the same time I have yet to untangle. I head down the ramp into the main street, and my quiet nook of children, families and elders screeches –literally- into every mobile conveyance form of crazy. It takes me 20-25 minutes to walk to school, and I try to choose a different way everytime. We all walk on the shady side, by 9:30 it’s hot enough for a 5 minute sweat back, but the streets are still mostly empty. I get my morning mango/orange juice, then my morning breakfast –eggplant/cheese sandwich, and falafel/cheese sandwich. Class 10-1, gym next door 1:30-2:30. Shoot the breeze at the restaurant next to my school, class 3-5:30. Get gelato at the bakery nearby, try not to fall asleep. Roll into the next portion of the day, tea –always a teahouse- with friends, everyone lives with parents so sitting in the plastic chairs outside is wonderful, plus it’s cool out then. Sometimes there’s a show from a cultural center, sometimes it’s just dinner and talking. Usually some new Couchsurfers are in town and drift into the circle. I swear I will be in bed by 11 and rise early when it’s cool and the streets are empty. I rarely am, and rarely do. That description only took a thick paragraph, but it elided all the little conversations, and the ever changing plans after class, and of course the class itself. The days here feel so long. Some things stick out though:
-Nighttime swims with bio-luminescent plankton
-The feeling when hot and sweaty and you first taste the fresh squeezed juice
-Watching city maintenance workers shimmy up the palm trees barefoot to trim the fronds.
-Watching people balance all sorts of loads on bicycles, cars, carts, and just being impressed with humans in general
-Appreciating stacks of fruit, and rotisserie chickens
-Little thrill of pleasure when you realize all the people in your daily routine know to expect you
-Watching sunsets over the water, always

Rome - Tues., May 28, 2019
Rome - Tuesday, May 28, 2019
It was another early morning with a 5:47am alarm for our 7:15am PA call time. By now we had a routine of getting ready, eating our room service, taking seasick pills, and packing our backpacks. The forecast was only 64, but no rain. I donned a plaid dress & navy sweater, but stashed my Lauren hoodie & footies (for the bus) in my bag! Luckily, neither were used.
As a reminder of our chosen Port Adventure:
Vatican Behind the Scenes and Panoramic Drive (CV105)
10 Hours to 10.5 Hours
It was about an hour drive into the city and we were dropped off just outside the Vatican City wall. We were led down a Groups path (FastPass), went through security scanners, and then awaited our tickets. (The regular line wrapped all the way down one of the walls and around the corner. Again, unless you arrive prior to opening or have a tour like ours booked, the wait to just get in would be excessive!)
Then it was upstairs for our radio guides, but it was to hear our personal guide, not the Vatican Museums audio guide. Our group was led out to the Gardens, a blissful escape from the crowds. (As uttered on the Disney Cruise Line Blog Podcast, when at the Vatican be prepared to “pack your patience and give up your personal space!”)
The Gardens (requiring a special ticket or with a tour) are quite hilly with all sorts of cement, cobblestone, and rock pathways. (I was happy my new Chacos conquered it all!) One in our group had mobility issues and opted out of a significant portion of the tour. We were told about the history and meaning behind many of these sites, refurbishment of a considerable monument, and the building to which retired Pope Benedict has retired. This area also provided beautiful natural, quiet, and unobtrusive views of the back of both the St. Peter's Basilica Dome and Sistine Chapel. The numerous gardeners were out and about to the point it felt a bit Disney-esque. We regularly got out of the way of the golf carts and 4-wheelers (that I wanted to commandeer)!
This is Kara - I’ll just add that the Gardens were very pretty - made even more enjoyable by the fact the weather was absolutely perfect. I especially enjoyed Pope Pius IV’s building from 1550 and its sunbathing turtles.
Too soon we returned to the outside public area of Vatican City. We stopped in front of a set of six signs, each explaining different part of the Sistine Chapel. I had not seen this on my previous visit. It gave much needed context to the famous painting we were about to view, so this is highly recommended.
Kara here: I agree completely that without the explanations of these signs or some real preparation for the Sistine Chapel, you’re not going to really get all that much from the experience.
Next we were back inside to another “skip the line” point, but still had to traverse through the expansive galleries. (One in our party lost contact with one or two of their four girls, which caused a delay. FYI - tour guides are not your babysitters!)
We were informed the ceiling art is simply lat painting, but they appear 3D! Talk about masterful historic art techniques! Note what looks like “tape” across the giant crack!
This brought us to yet another “skip the line” into the Sistine Chapel. We were there for only about 10 minutes and it was lighter in there than I recalled.
Kara: The three galleries we passed through were candelabra, maps, and tapestry. The tapestry where Jesus’s eyes follow you - FREAKY! While I tend to enjoy museums like this a little more than Gayle, the Disney Cruise Line Blog should go one step further and say that if you’re an introvert or you actually expect to be able to look at something and enjoy doing so while in the Vatican, you’ve come with the wrong expectations. The next picture truly captures why while I’m glad to have visited the Vatican, unless I’m enjoying a private audience with the Pope, I have no need to return.
From the Sistine Chapel we exited almost directly into St. Peter’s Basilica, where our guide pointed out the key highlights. (I was personally relieved at this. Last time I did the audio guide, and like Westminster, tried to do the whole thing. Yet, the monuments here are great in number and I easily lost track if I was looking at the right thing!) We finished around 1pm and were directed to meet back in front of St. Peter’s by 2:45pm.
Kara: I tend to love visiting churches. I’d go back in a heartbeat to nearly every other church I’ve ever visited. There was absolutely nothing reverent or inspiring for me about the shear audacity and grandiosity of St. Peters.
Knowing of this free time, I’d prepared for us to grab a bite to eat. Employing my offline map we sought out the nearby “Alice” for pizza. I’d searched for “good pizza near the Vatican” since we didn’t have a ton of time and thought Kara needed to experience “street food”. While waiting for Kara to get the pizza from this walk-up restaurant, a pigeon “poo-ed” on my backpack! Luckily I had supplies to clean it, but these birds were really aggressive in trying to snatch our food. On top of this the pizza was bad. Really bad. (I have no idea how this “restaurant” was highly rated.) So I felt guilt for leading us here.
Kara: The staff was also not pleasant at all. I didn’t think the pizza was really bad, but it definitely was just food - nothing special.
Next we ventured a few more blocks to “Old Bridge Gelateria” for yes - gelato! (After our Alice experience, I was scared!) It was another traditional walk-up establishment directly across from a Vatican wall. Kara ordered mixed berry, strawberry, & lemon; I ordered dark chocolate and strawberry. When I tossed a tip in their jar, the guys Dabbed! LOL! This gelato was YUMMY (if slightly overpriced - but location, you know) & more than made up for the terrible pizza!
Kara: Back when we decided to do this trip, I tried valiantly for about six months to pick up enough Italian to at least understand the basics. I wasn’t confident but I was really pleased at how kind everyone was as I tried out the language and how gentle they were in corrections of pronunciations. Both Luigi the day before and the guys at the gelato place were really nice to patiently let me try Italian. Nothing like my experience in Paris a few years back. Also, a note for a future trip should one ever occur to Rome - there is currently a great little sandwich and pasta shop right next to the this gelato place.
We returned to our meeting point (one of the official gift shops) where Kara picked up a number of items and I purchased needed postcards.
(A bracelet Kara bought me - to match my nails, of course!)
Due to the high tourist area, the streets surrounding the Vatican were full of pickpockets and street vendors pushing everything everywhere. We felt like a full picnic basket (especially with my checkered dress print) sitting on top of an anthill! Our guide finally led us to the Vatican’s “bus parking garage” and even here we endured musicians asking for money.
Sidenote: We invested in our first pairs of Chacos for this trip - wanting a sandal that would support a lot of walking. Since I customized mine in all silver metallic, and “when in Rome”, I took to calling mine...
At 3pm we began our panoramic drive through Rome, some sites I had seen, but not others. We were back on the ship by 5pm. (This port is HUGE and crazy! It must have taken us nearly 10 minutes to get to the ship after entering the port!)
Kara: As this was my first visit to Rome, I was looking forward to the tour part - even though it was just a bus tour. G and I are both watching the CBS show “Blood and Treasure” this summer and the pyramid was featured in it. Gayle is right about how enormous the port was - the last two photos are ones I grabbed as we were driving back into the port.
Back in our stateroom we found some delectable “VIP” cupcakes from our new bestie Zoe.
Tonight’s dinner was back in Lumiere’s with a new international menu (World of Flavor) we’d never experienced. I made no notes about this and only remember not being impressed. I believe my main course was disappointing salmon; the buffet salmon from embarkation day was better.
Tonight Kara ordered some hard cider, which they brought in a bottle. Not a beer bottle, but rather more of a full wine-size bottle. Okkkkk. The process worked the same that they would re-cork it and bring it back for the next night’s dinner.
The Beef Empanada was actually quite tasty!
The ship’s Cheddar Cheese Soup will never compare to Le Cellier’s, but pretzel bread is always appreciated!
The Sundae was also quite good. (I would have gotten the Sacre Torte, but don’t care for apricot.)
Kara’s normal dessert selection.
We completed our post-dinner tendency of getting ice, shower/hair, and ordering Room Service for cookies (& tonight “chocolate cake”, which was actually mousse, so Kara was NOT happy. Are we confusing this with a previous night???) For some reason the ship left 45 minutes late.
The evening show was “Junnk” (similar to “Stomp”). We’d seen it before and due to our busy schedule decided to watch it on the stateroom TV since they show the nighttime stage shows on the in-room TVs. Lesson learned: They apparently only show the Disney original stage shows (pre-taped) on the TVs, so no show for us!
Tonight was Pirate Night. As much as we wanted to embrace this cruise-specific offering and as the only cruise line having fireworks at sea, Pirate Night is a BIG DEAL! Yet with dropping temps, a wet/rainy environment, and notable winds, Mother Nature was prompting us to stay inside. When we saw the party didn’t start until 10:30pm (& knowing the fireworks wouldn’t go off until almost 11pm), we didn’t even try to pretend we were going. Instead we were barely able to stay awake for the fireworks, which we watched from our balcony (something Disney Cruise Line tells you NOT to do for safety). Yes, I broke a Disney rule. EEK! It’s the only one I break (& do so consistently. SHHHH!!!) We also know which side of the ship to reserve our stateroom just for this reason!

Game of Turons
May or may not be missing Filipino food at this point..
April 1
Quick day-trip to Mostar. It’s so beautiful here! We had a fresh little taste-tour of homemade and local cheeses paired with bread, paprika spread, and salami. We had the chance to try a bitter cherry drink (I thought it was pretty sweet and tasty) and also this syrupy cookie. Basically a lunch. We weren’t entirely hungry afterwards, so we grabbed a cone of gelato and sat out on the ruins of the original bridge (Stari Most) and watched as bridge jumpers collected money from tourists and took the plunge. Sugar mama Craven also needed to spend those marks, so she treated everyone to some fine souvenirs. We all got matching bracelets (yay friendship) and also got some matching copper earrings (sorry pat). I could finally see the appeal of shopping since I just had money to throw around and get rid of.
Holy hell it is hot out. A toasty 80-ish degrees. How am I going to survive when I come back home to So-Cal and Phoenix?? I used to think anything below 90 degrees was cold and now I’m perfectly warm and comfortable in 45-50 degree weather. We had an afternoon tour to learn about the history of Mostar and visit a mosque and Kajtaz house. We were also able to climb the museum tower next to Stari Most and talk to a local who had been living in Mostar at the time of the wars and helped to rebuild the new bridge despite the fact that he was held captive in the war, used as a human shield, and lost some mobility in his left arm. He was very friendly and open about his experiences.
Uno ruins friendships. We played an almost endless 2 hour game on the bus ride to Dubrovnik and the only reason we stopped (besides the fact that we were already over the game) was because the sun was going down and we couldn’t tell yellow from green anymore.
April 2
Game of thrones who?? Yeah so I still have yet to finish the show. Please no spoilers and I’m sorry that I might not be able to fully understand the settings here that were used in the show. BUT I WILL SOMEDAY.
I’m in love with Dubrovnik. I love the ocean and the sea. Basically any body of natural water. I love the fresh air and the warm sun and the salty breeze. I love the orange rooftops and the FREAKING castle in the middle of town. I love the cliffsides that are inviting us to dive into the freezing cold water.
I got wet. We went down to the rocky cliffs and I wanted to get close enough to dip my toes into the water. Welp, I did. But then the waves were excited to see me too and just whipped my legs, soaking my pants from the knees down. No worries though. There’s still enough time in the day to lie out on the rocks and let them air dry. And that’s what I did.
Please sir let me go kayaking. We still had time to kill and figured why not? It was such a challenge to figure out how to get down from the castle and streets level to the pebble beach area. We finally got down and the guy was like please don’t, I’m trying to close up shop for the day. It was 3:30pm. There’s still plenty of “day” but I guess he’s the boss of his own hours. We sat on the little pier overlooking the water and watched as the last few kayakers paddled back to shore and turned in their gear. We also saw Patrick at the top of the tower across the water! He came down to meet us at our spot. We also saw a youngish teenage boy rowing this girl to shore. Hi can I steal your boat? It was super tiny and could barely fit the two of them in it, but I tried imagining how to fit all four of us into it. We observed as he spent the next 10 minutes helping the girl out of the boat and then rowing to his parking spot, securing his boat to the ropes, and then nimbly climbing out to the pier deck. He made everything look so easy and we enjoyed playing with the idea that we’d all fall in the water or get stranded 5 minutes into rowing.
We took the world’s slowest taxi back up to the hotel, but at least he was a safe (unless driving too slow is dangerous?) driver. We changed into our swimsuits, excited to spend time in the pool at the hotel. I think it was old people hour though? I hope we didn’t disturb them too much. Our plan was to hang out in the hot tub but the water was lukewarm?? We sat in somewhat cool water and had jets attacking our limbs from every angle. Not really a grand time but definitely an interesting one. At one point, we gathered hands and prayed to the jacuzzi gods for the 2 seconds of warmth that would happen when the jets would first start up. 100% worth it for those two seconds.
April 3
I like the long bus rides- they are comfortable and prime time for introspection (#feeling inspired). Today’s extended pitstop is in Zadar. Home of the beautiful sunsets, Monument to the Sun, and Sea Organ. In the early afternoon, Patrick, Raine, Aubree, and I walked to the grocery store to pick up supplies for nutella and banana sandwiches (since there was no jelly). We also met up with Kaya and Sara and joined them at McDonald’s for lunch (fun fact: their cola weirdly tasted like bubblegum??)
We had Sara’s sparknotes cool-aunt version of a tour, which ended with us soaking up the sun, watching the rough waves roll and crash, and listening to the wondrous and unique song of the sea organ. We took a snack break to bring back pizza to eat while watching the red-dot sun set behind the voluptuous blue-purple clouds. The sun honestly seemed to slip away so quickly. Live it in the moment, folks. Sometimes it’s not worth it for the instagram. It’s worth it to be present.
We’re addicted to crazy 8 at this point and itching to head back to the hotel to connect to the wifi and destroy friendships. But first, gelato. Since it was late in the evening, our guy piled scoops into our cones.
April 4
Took a lovely nature stroll through Plitvice Lakes National Park! So many waterfalls gracefully cascading down. Such a pretty sight and I could never get tired of it. I just took my time walking through the paths, and at one point Sara encouraged us to spend 10 minutes sitting by ourselves in the sounds of nature. Blissful.
We had lunch outside and tried to not get dust blown into our food or get blown away from the strong winds. We let our food digest as we took a ride on the world’s slowest boat. It didn’t even feel like we were moving- the ride was almost too smooth.
When we arrived at Hotel Park, SaVanna’s mom (and her mom’s best friend) came out and surprised her in the lobby. We all couldn’t help but feel a little butt-hurt because 1. we were all on our periods (maybe Patrick too) and just emotional wrecks in general and 2. we hadn’t seen any of our loved ones for MONTHS and she had received a lot of love via care packages and letters from friends/family, her boyfriend visited her for spring break, and now her mom was here to surprise her for the weekend. Super happy for her but salty that we got slapped in the face with it.
Anyways, hello Ljubljana! Weird full circle. It’s like a combination of everywhere that I’ve visited. It’s got hints of Salzburg/Vienna/Budapest with its architecture, Amsterdam (with its bikes), Berlin (with it’s energy). Feels hip and fun. Had beers, burgers, and bomb conversations for dinner. Such a great time hanging out with the squad along the river and laughing about some of our most embarrassing stories. Afterwards we went back to the hotel and passed ouuuuut (rip crazy 8, maybe we’ll catch ya next time).
April 5
Ljubljana walking tour with another lovely guide! He was such a warm and welcoming soul, and he was very excited to show us around even though it was a wet and stormy day. I had an umbrella, but I still managed to get wet. Nike? More like yikes. Tried to keep my shoes dry but then the puddles continued to rise and my feet were already wet so might as well just go all out and step in the puddles. At the end of the tour, we had a river cruise, which turned into a champagne (booze) cruise courtesy of Katharina showing up to surprise Sara on her birthday :)
Had the most amazing falafel wraps in my life. Went back to the hotel to rest for a bit. Raine took a nap, but I just relaxed in the comfort of my dry, warm bed and watched youtube videos for a few hours.
Later, we ventured back out for dinner (at the same place that we visited the night before) and ended up staying out with the rest of the crew since they were at the same restaurant as us :)
April 6
Goodbye Ljubljana! At least it’s not raining today. One last stop before we return home: Postojna Cave. This cave is HUGE. We had to ride a little tram into the walkable parts of the cave, and I swear it was a 15 minute ride in a little cart on train tracks. It was jerky and weirdly close to the walls and I felt like I was going to hit my head every 10 seconds. Also got carsick on the ride, so it wasn’t the best tour of my life. Still, the caves were pretty impressive. How can rocks look like paper sometimes?? Our tour guide also had fun surprising us and at one point she went to the generator and turned off the lights and it was PITCH black. I’ve been in darkness before, but nothing compares to those few seconds in complete blackness. Everyone was talking and trying to find each other (even as we were standing next to one another to begin with) and I still felt like I was the only one in the area and everyone else was so far away.
At the end of the tour, we walked into a little cave room area where our photographs were up for sale. So that’s what those people were doing when we entered the tram entrance! They were literally all up in our faces with their flash photography and I thought they were trying to capture some famous person behind me or trying to get a picture of my face to document every individual who enters in case there’s a tragic emergency and they need evidence of who went in and didn’t come out, but turns out they were just trying to catch us as off guard as possible for the worst photos in the world lol
Back on the road again = back in my sleepyhead dreamland
We said our final goodbyes to our lovely bus driver Benny (rip cause these goodbyes were so short too). I’m gonna miss that Mr. Bean soul.
Yay for being home before the sun goes down for once! And hello spring in Salzburg! So excited to be here while the weather gods kindly bless us.

The Spring 2018 Restaurant Opening Guide: Cambridge and Somerville
Pierogi and macarons and empanadas, oh my
Over the river from Boston, Cambridge and Somerville had a bit of a slow winter in terms of restaurant openings; there were a few highlights, from ceviche in Union Square to delivery-only fried chicken sandwiches coming out of Inman Square, but there weren’t very many openings overall. Spring might be another story, however. The big thing to look forward to is Bow Market in Somerville’s Union Square, which will feature around 30 vendors, many of them food-related; it could open — at least partially — as soon as May 12. Also on the docket: the arrival of a collaboration between DC’s &pizza and New York’s Milk Bar to Harvard Square, a new vegetarian option in Central Square, and more.
Read on for the rundown of potential spring openings, keeping in mind that opening timelines often change, sometimes drastically. This guide will be updated frequently throughout the season as new information becomes available, so feel free to reach out with any info that should be on our radar.
This guide was originally published on April 2, 2018; the date of the most recent update appears above.

Opened: March 20, 2018
A Preview of Cambridge’s Post-Spring Openings
Cava [Official Photo]
A bowl from Cava
Blackbird Doughnuts (1350 Massachusetts Ave., Harvard Square, Cambridge): This Fenway and South End doughnut shop from the team behind the Gallows and Banyan might be opening a new location at the revamped Smith Campus Center, along with a bunch of other restaurants. Keep reading for details on the others. Projected opening: Fall 2018
Bon Me (1350 Massachusetts Ave., Harvard Square, Cambridge): Boston’s ever-expanding Bon Me truck and restaurant empire is bringing its Vietnamese-inspired fast-casual fare to Harvard’s renovated Smith Campus Center. Projected opening: Fall 2018
Cava (88 Ames St., Kendall Square, Cambridge): This DC-based fast-casual Mediterranean chain opened its first Boston-area location in Fenway in January 2018, followed by Dedham in the early spring. Next it’ll spread to Boston’s Back Bay and Hingham in the summer, and Kendall Square after that. Projected opening: Fall 2018
Colette (Porter Square Hotel, 1924 Massachusetts Ave., Porter Square, Cambridge): From the owners of Frenchie in the South End comes a new French restaurant to the ground floor of the fairly new Porter Square Hotel. It was originally slated to have a steakhouse, but that fell through. The forthcoming restaurant will seat around 150 inside and an additional 30 on a seasonal patio, and the menu may include steak frites, lobster ravioli, French onion soup, and more. Projected opening: Summer 2018
Dumpling Daughter (73 Ames St., Kendall Square, Cambridge): Dumpling Daughter is the second location for a Weston-based restaurant by Nadia Liu Spellman, whose mother, Sally Ling, was behind the now-defunct Sally Ling’s restaurant on Boston waterfront. Ling is Spellman’s consultant on the Dumpling Daughter menu, which includes dumplings, of course, but also rice bowls, scallion pancake and beef roll-ups, and more. It’s moving into the old Ames Street Deli and Study space — part of which may be a different but related restaurant, Vester. Stay tuned for more. Projected opening: Summer 2018
Falafel Inc. (Yet-to-be-announced address in Kendall Square, Cambridge): Operating under the motto “food for good,” this potential chain originated in DC earlier in 2017 and has big expansion plans, including around the Boston area. A portion of proceeds are reportedly donated to help feed refugees. Projected opening: Unknown
Gustazo Cuban Restaurant & Cafe (2067 Massachusetts Ave., Porter Square, Cambridge): In 2014, Gustazo opened in the former Elephant Walk space in Waltham. Now it’ll open in the former Elephant Walk space in Cambridge as well, serving dishes like empanadas, ropa vieja, and more. Projected opening: Unknown; it was in the “early stages” as of mid-March 2018
The Halal Guys (Unknown address in Porter Square, Cambridge): The New York City chain debuted in Boston’s Theatre District in late summer 2017. Next up: a location in Cambridge’s Porter Square (and four more in Boston proper). An exact address and opening timeline haven’t yet been announced. Projected opening: Unknown
The Longfellow Bar at Alden & Harlow (40 Brattle St., Harvard Square, Cambridge): The latest from Alden & Harlow and Waypoint’s Michael Scelfo, this will be located above Alden & Harlow, in the longtime Cafe Algiers space. Scelfo has been quiet on details since the initial announcement back in June 2017, but per the agenda for a licensing commission hearing, the new venue may have a dining area, bar, and seasonal patio on each of two floors. Projected opening: Summer 2018
Mothership (Alewife, Cambridge): Commonwealth’s Steve “Nookie” Postal has a few projects in the works with Crema Cafe co-founder Liza Shirazi; see details on the other two projects under the Revival listings on this page. Mothership will be a beer hall with 10 taps, food, and plenty of games. Postal is documenting his restaurant-opening adventures every other week; follow along here. Projected opening: Mothership is slated for fall 2018, with the two Revival locations potentially opening in spring and summer 2018
Oggi Gourmet (1350 Massachusetts Ave., Harvard Square, Cambridge): An original tenant of the Harvard student center, Oggi moved elsewhere in the neighborhood to weather the massive construction, but it’ll open inside the Smith Campus Center once renovations are finally complete. Projected opening: Fall 2018
Patty Chen’s Dumpling Room (907 Main St., Central Square, Cambridge): Patty Chen’s closed in late October 2017, thanks to construction that will ultimately turn the building into a boutique hotel. The restaurant will eventually reopen in a larger space in the new building; the extra space will allow for the addition of a bar. (As for the other tenants in the building, Cinderella’s closed permanently, and Toscanini’s is temporarily closed but opened a new location nearby.) Projected opening: Summer 2018
Pavement Coffeehouse (1350 Massachusetts Ave., Harvard Square, Cambridge): This growing local cafe chain will expand to Harvard’s Smith Campus Center once its renovations are complete. (But first, it’ll open a new cafe, roasting facility, and commissary in Brighton.) The Smith Center location will sort of be two locations: coffee and bagels on the first floor; coffee and pastries on the second floor. No sandwiches as there will be plenty of other food vendors onsite. Projected opening: August 2018
Perillas (No location yet): A fast-casual Korean restaurant focused on bibimbap is in the works. There will be three main protein options — bulgogi beef, spicy chicken, and teriyaki tofu — and a variety of vegetables. The owners are hoping to find a place in a neighborhood like Kendall Square (or perhaps Assembly Row in Somerville). Projected opening: 2018
Pineapple Thai (1108 Cambridge St., Inman Square, Cambridge): A new sibling of a Brookline Thai restaurant. Projected opening: Unknown
Saloniki (1350 Massachusetts Ave., Harvard Square, Cambridge): This fast-casual Greek spot with locations in Central Square and Fenway is reportedly expanding to the forthcoming Smith Campus Center. Projected opening: Fall 2018
Sheger Cafe and Ethiopian Restaurant (2376 Massachusetts Ave., North Cambridge): A small Ethiopian restaurant from a nearby salon owner. There will be around a dozen seats inside and a small patio outside. Projected opening: Unknown
Stix Noodle Bar (93 Windsor St., Cambridge): Restaurant group New England Restaurant Concepts, which is behind a variety of restaurants in the Worcester area and beyond, opened a location of its cafe, Brew on the Grid, in this space but closed it after six months and plans to open its ramen-centric Stix Noodle Bar here instead. Projected opening: Unknown
Swissbakers (1350 Massachusetts Ave., Harvard Square, Cambridge): With existing locations in Reading and Allston, as well as at the Boston Public Market, this bakery will add a cafe within the Smith Campus Center. Projected opening: Fall 2018
Whole Heart Provisions (1350 Massachusetts Ave., Harvard Square, Cambridge):As noted above, this vegan-friendly sibling of Roxy’s Grilled Cheese will open in the Smith Campus Center at Harvard (but first, there’ll be a new Central Square location.) Projected opening: Fall 2018
Somerville

278a Highland Ave., Spring Hill, Somerville

Hooked Fish Shop
337-341 Somerville Ave., Union Square, Somerville
This Bow Market vendor will serve street food-inspired dishes that incorporate fresh seafood from Red’s Best and smoked seafood from Boston Smoked Fish Company. Expect dishes such as Iggy’s bagels with smoked fish, some soups and chowders, poke bowls, fish tacos, seafood banh mi, and scallion pancake wraps. Projected opening: Spring 2018
In Season Food Shop
337-341 Somerville Ave., Union Square, Somerville
Salads, bowls, and more, featuring local produce, at the forthcoming Bow Market. Projected opening: Spring 2018
Jaju Pierogi
337-341 Somerville Ave., Union Square, Somerville
Pierogi from a pair of sisters. They’ve been popping up around the Boston area for a few years; this location — within the forthcoming Bow Market — will be Jaju’s first permanent home. The duo also recently built a large kitchen in Lynn and is working on expanding wholesale distribution. Projected opening: May 2018
Lucky Strike Social [NOW OPEN]
325 Revolution Dr., Assembly Row, Somerville
This growing chain offers bowling, other games, and comfort food. In Boston’s Fenway neighborhood, Jillian’s recently rebranded into a Lucky Strike social, and there are also locations in Albany and Honolulu. BUY STIIIZY On the net UK
Say farewell to disposable batteries as well as owning to modify them out in the center of a recreation. Their capsules are constructed of plastic which has a ceramic house heating gadget inside of. The Stiiizy pen originall transcended than 510 cartridges, the double air move mouth piece along with ceramic Main property heating component have been slicing-edge. STIIIZY’s luster is exhibited in a very streamlined, squashed pen that sporting functions a A lot different structure than a variety of other vaporizer pens, with unique dual air circulation tunnels. Most only in the near past Stiiizy’s oil has basically On top of that genuinely felt weaker than it used to.
Now, right before we speak about their blends as well as preferences let’s have a more in-depth Have a look at Stiiizy’s products together with discover far more about their vape sheaths. Now the Stiiizy shucks are efficiently worthless for someone with also reasonable THC resistance. The drawn out THC oil Stiiizy originally had in 2017 and likewise extremely early 2018 was sound. Afterwards they were being located to have weaker oil than asserted, as noticed on our oil pen assessments checklist. Stiiizy skins are weak after that most vape cartridges.
Most vaporizer cartridges available in the marketplace now are made with some type of additive, whether it be vegetable glycerin, propylene glycol, Purchase STIIIZY BATTERIES WITH PODS or different other Instrument chain triglycerides. Furthermore, the cartridge is both of those leakage and burn proof which makes it amongst Probably the most tough prefilled cartridges around the Market. They established an product that is definitely numerous than another usually found out 510 threaded vape pen cartridges.
The Stiiizy pen had produced the highest whole ordinary score on Weedmaps for their product or service from persons rating it and currently any type of old scores for Stiiizy must not be counted as it is completely various presently. This could be a bonus for some people today that intend to strike on the cart that isn't also solid. , if it transforms out wonderful I’ll strike you up.. Vapors Vape’s Stiiizy Pods readily available to be obtained offer well balanced highs which are optimal for whatever from a night bent on thrust aid as well as torture the board. Following is heaven dream stiizy supplied to be purchased.
As being the identify promises, this stiizy pen is usually a cross of significant diesel as well as tangie. A stiizy Starter Package built-in with specialised sheaths produces an effective, wellness-aware THC supply program. The coming with starter established is made of a USB billing port as well as a 210Ah rechargeable battery. I would take a present-day technology CCELL and likewise an incredible battery similar to the Vessel in excess of a Stiiizy hull. CCELL created a snapping plastic lock as opposed to just determined by rubber to remain in position.
Since initially publishing this overview, CCELL has actually designed its really possess capsule hardware. Having said that, you are able to merely get an vFire that is really identical and produced by the exact same provider of Stiiizy tools, ALD, in addition to the very same gear that may be used in the Plug and Enjoy vape. The gear is helpful, however the oil sucks. The majority about vFire is it is possible to area superior oil in it. The shells were considerably much better than the previous generation CCELLs that were out at time Stiiizy was introduced. I would put it as Probably the most awful THC vaping possibilities readily available. What after was just probably the greatest is now among the worst and likewise something no one that evaluates for This page would get.
Edit: It’s neat to comprehend I wasn’t the just one desiring some thing similar to this. A different pleasant attribute micro USB link that are available at the conclusion of the Stiiizy vape, it’s not advised to work with this vape pen whilst it’s billing nevertheless. It’s quite disappointing that the costs of those Stiiizy situations to buy certainly are a large amount bigger in certain metropolitan areas than Other individuals. Since 2019, Stiiiizy vape hulls are seriously weak now as they have remodeled their oil to your significantly less strong system. Gelato utilized to taste just like a lighter variation from the Brass Knuckles Gelato on the other hand presently it truly is nearly tasteless as well. Update five/30/2020: Stiiizy now has Are living resin vessels.
Some skins generated no effect for me. The great thing relating to them is you'll be able to fill up Stiiizy skins too. These capsules are designed With this manner to prevent THC oil wastes and spills from accidental declines, which can be a extremely regular point with glass cartridges. For much better cartridges in California Examine Airo Pro, adhere e vape, Jetty Extracts, Invest in STIIIZY BATTERIES WITH PODS and Kurvana ASCND. The solvent-absolutely free distillate will likely not leakage out and also is not going to shed up like other pens. That suggests the CBD and in addition THC are in similar proportions. Stiiizy sheaths are surprisingly easy to maneuver on to its battery in addition to surprisingly easy to come out, a purpose a lot more efficient than The everyday 510 thread screw on carts.
As they appeared, CCELL cartridges have gotten much better also. As a consequence of The truth that of its twin air stream mouthpiece in addition to ceramic coil, these sheathing cartridges make it quite simple to vape massive clouds that are really clean. The atomizer is the exact same on equally the Uno and likewise Dart, but I think the Uno battery strikes a bit more difficult. The stizzy pen is easy and In addition small to handle. The Stiiizy pen is straightforward and minor to deal with. Update 8/10/2019: Stiiizy’s oil did get somewhat lighter shade than it remained in mid 2018. Our Gelato Journey
The journey to Gelato, with Alowishus was exactly like so many other things we’ve experienced since opening 5 years ago. We didn’t decide “Let’s make Gelato”, we hadn’t even contemplated it.However, 4 keys things happened in a very short space of time:
Mike visited the Fine Food Festival in Sydney, and meet Gimmy. Gimmy sold Gelato making equipment and happened to be an expert in all things Gelato. Gimmy also happened to be Italian
One of our team members who we had hired much earlier to make coffee, happened to make the product at her old job. Not even kidding! We had no idea at the time.
The tenant in the two shops on the other side of the arcade moved out overnight, which made a space available – At this stage Mike was 100% convinced we needed to DO GELATO. I, however still wasn’t. It all sounded like a lot of work and I was about to have a baby.
THE DEAL SEALER for me. We went on an impromptu weekend away, our last little escape before Gabe came along. I booked us into a motel at Coolum I had seen on a day trip a few weekends before. Mike pulled up out front and I ran inside to check in (don’t laugh, pregnant women can still run). After giving me the key, explaining the carpark, lifts and amenities, and almost as an afterthought the manager handed me a voucher and said ‘Oh there’s a gelateria just out the front, here’s a free voucher!’
You seriously could have knocked me over with a feather. If this wasn’t the final kick up the bum, get started, and DO GELATO, I wasn’t sure what would be. And that my friends, was how we started.
Alowishus was now in the ice-cream business (actually the Gelato business but I need to add the word icecream to my blog post for better SEO ;-)
Much later we purchased a mobile cart and you wouldn’t believe it if I told you, but it was the people who owned that Gelato Bar in Coolum. They had moved on from the business and now wanted to sell their cart. We were connected with them by a random mutual associate.
Check out our dedicated gelato website when you have some time:
