every time i see a take like "uhhh why did mob not having his powers suddenly mean he lost all his friends and family he didnt meet them bc of his powers cinema sins ding" i feel like i lose my mind a little more. guys. mogami's intention wasnt to show him his life would suck if he had no powers. it was to shift his perspective to that of a person who would actually need to use the powers mogami saw mob as taking for granted and show him there are people in the world who arent worth saving. which is why mob's takeaway wasnt "wow its a good thing having powers led to me meeting all these important people" and was instead a. he was very lucky to be surrounded by good people b. people who werent so lucky were going to lash out and use their power (whether social or psychic) to harm others in the same way he had in their situation, which means that no one is beyond saving because everyone is one human connection away from becoming a better self. guys.
