It has everything magical-wise you could ask for and Shelby-wise as well. I just wish it would be updated, but dreamers can dream.

It was a dark, cold winter night. Only a few cars were present on this long stretch road. Quietness lingered in the car, with the exception of the music playing in the background. The familiar tune of Benny Goodman playing. You felt his hands onto your thigh, and you flinched. But he kept going and paused between your legs. You tried to swat his hand away, but he gave you a firm squeeze, letting you know to behave. 

“Almost there, honey.” He told you. You turned to look at him and he gave a smile. But there was something behind that smile, that sent you chills down your spine. Then you felt something cold on your finger and you suddenly remember why you were in this car, at this very moment. Looking down, you saw the shiny gold band around your left finger.

Your nerves had gotten to you, and you knew why. You never asked for this, but it happened. You were poor, your parents didn't have any money and so your father did the one thing that tore you apart.

Your mother begged and begged. But it was too late for the deal to be done. When you learned of the news, of course, you didn't like it. You protested, fought for what's your right.

But it didn't work.

The day that you were to meet your fate was the day that your life was torn from you. When you turned the age of 22.

You stood with your parents at an undisclosed location at the end of the shipping yard in Boston. Your whole body shook and was biting your nails.

Two cars pulled up, and a few men came out and ran towards the other. One of the other men opened the door, and the guy came out. He was rather tall, light-skinned, thick beard, dark hair, bright blue eyes.

You took a good look at him as he stood before you and your parents. Before your father could say a word, one of his men came behind him with a large bag.

"It's all in here." The man before you spoke while looking at you. You then turned to see your father take the bag. Your father looked at you once more before turning around and the same with your mother.

Your eyes widened, as the headed towards the car. You screamed and tried to run to them, but one of the men grabbed you. You tried to fight them off, yelled for your parents to get you.

But you were shattered as the car sped off into the distance. You tried once more, but it was useless.

A figure stood before you, and it was the same guy.

"You must be Y/N. Welcome to your new life." He said to you. He didn't give a name and just walked towards the car. It was a minute later that you followed him into the same car.

On the way to, where ever you were going, you heard him talking on the phone. You were in the car, with a few of other his men. The one next to you, had similar features to the previous man, excpet without a beard. 

The next thing you knew, the car had pulled up into a large-looking home. The moment you got out, your eyes were widened. The house was bigger than the home that, you used to live in. 

“This is your new home.” You heard as you turned to see the same guy that was next to you in the car. 

“It’s not, I don’t belong here. I belong back in my own home!” You yelled. The man sighed and lead you towards the house. You of course fought him, but he was strong and gripped your arm. 

“I understand, but it’s all in the past.” He told you, as you entered the massive house. 

“By the way, I have a name. My name is Ransom, I work for the man that your father sold you to.” He told you. You looked around and noticed that the man from earlier wasn’t around. 

“Where is he?” You asked. Ransom sighed lead you towards the stairs. 

“He has business to attend to. He will see you later tonight for dinner.” Ransom told you. 

“Ransom, does he have a name? My father never told me about him, not that I care.” You said, with a cold tone. Ransom opened a door and you walked in. 

“His name is Andy Barber,” Ransom told you. You stop frozen and chills went down your body. You turned around slowly and faced Ransom.

“A-Andy Barber?” You studdered. You knew that name, everyone knew that name. Head of the Five families here in Boston. 

“There are your new clothes in the closet, you have free access to the house. But you are not to enter the office. It’s the one with the double doors.” Ransom said, “Also if you need anything just give me a ring. Your new phone will be coming in a few days."

That was a year ago, and it was a hard one. Andy tried to speak to you, but you never gave in. You didn’t want him, you were scared of him. All you wanted, was to be back home in your tiny bedroom at your old house. You tried to contact your parents, but Andy wouldn’t allow it. All he told you, was that they are okay. 

You never heard from your parents again. 

But one night, you made the ultimate mistake. During dinner time, you weren’t hungry and Andy had asked you to eat something and you yelled back at him. You sat up, to walk away. But Andy got up and grabbed you by your wrist. You wince in pain, as he gripped you hard. 

“I’ve tried to be nice to you, give you what you want? But that’s it's not the case anymore. If you want to play games? Then we will go that way.” Andy told you, as he forcefully pulled you towards him and dragged you towards the stairways. You fought against him, telling him your hurting. But he ignored you and continued to drag you towards a room. The door opened and he threw you inside. 

“You are to  remain here, until you act like an adult.” Andy said, the door closed. You ran to the door and you heard the door click. You banged onto the door, begging him to opened the door. You apologized many times, but it didn’t work and you were just talking to the door. 

You didn’t know how long, you were in the room because all there was a bed and with no curtains. You had food delivered to you, by Ransom. He gave you what, was ordered by Andy. Tasteless broth, with bread and water. Every so often Ransom would sneak you in some cookies. But that was about it. 

One day, the door opened and scrambled to your feet, to see Andy standing in front of you. Without a word, Andy went towards you and he looked at you for a moment. Then he took your hand and and leaded you out of the room. The moment you walked out, the sun hit you and you squinted. It was bright and chilly, and you knew that it was morning time. 

Andy walked you down the hallway and towards a room at the other end of the hallway. The moment you walked in, you entered a bedroom and you assumed that it was the masterbed room. He didn’t say a word to you, but undress you and brought you to the bath tub. He cleaned you, washed your hair and scrubbed off the dirt on your body. 

   That night, you thought you were going back to that god awful room. But you didn’t. Andy gave you a nice dinner. You thanked him for the meal, but he didn’t say a word. Once you were done, Andy brought you outside, towards the large balcony of the house. You’ve been here a few times, late at night. 

“Tomorrow, I have an event. You will be there to escort me and  I have an announment to make.” Andy told you. 

“Do I know what type of event this is?” You asked. Andy scooted close to you and he placed his hand, gently on top of yours. 

“It’s a ball for the five families.” He told you. 

The announcement, the next morning came at you, and hit you in the stomach. There you stood next to Andy, as he spoke to the everyone in the room. He made jokes, announced that to expect in the next few months. Then when your name popped up, and words “marriage and engagement” came up. You didn’t know what to say. Ransom didn’t warn you about it, when he came in with a bunch of girls to help you get ready for tonight. 

Andy’s other trusty side kick, Nat came by with small black box. Before he could open it, he turned to you. 

The moment, Andy had told you those words, you felt sick to your stomach. But of course you didnt want to embarrass him, so you said yes.

      The car drove up into an unmarked road. You noticed that it was at another house, that was just as big as the one that you were living in. Andy pulled up into the driveway and parked the car. You watched, as Andy got out of the car and ran around the vehicle and to your side. The door opened and he helped you out. One of the housekeepers came out and went to fetch your luggage. Andy led you to the front of the house and he opened the door. House lit up, and a small smile formed. You took in the beauty that was in the large cabin. 

But it was shortly lived, when Andy place his hand against your back and wrapped his arms around you. 

“This is our home for the next month sweetheart.” Andy whispered into the shell of your ear. You turned towards him and frowned. 

“What do you mean?” You asked. Andy smiled and cupped your face into his hands. 

“Our home for the next month or so.” He told you. 

You watched as his hands slid down to your shoulders and he bent down to your neck. He inhaled your scent and let out a primal growl against your mating gland. 

You knew what was coming next. You tried to fight it off, even if you were an omega. Your mother always told you, that even if you find an Alpha, you need to stand your ground. That’s what you did, but it was soon fading away. 

Andy carried you, towards the upstairs and towards the bedroom. Kicking the door open, Andy placed you down. You turned around and to see Andy, growling. 

“Present for me.” Andy said, walking towards you and placed his large hands onto your shoulders. He slipped off the strap of your dress. 

“Present to me Omgea.” Andy repeated again. You felt the chilling voice going down your body. 

Slowly, you unzipped your dress and let it fall to the ground. You then took a step back and laid down the bed. Spreading your legs, your scent lingered and he let out a growl.

You laid flat on the bed, on your side, with your back facing Andy. Tears came pouring down your face, as you felt Andy move and he placed his arms around you. You raised your hand, and it fell down onto your neck. Fresh teeth mark on your mating gland. 

You felt his hand travel down your stomach and he placed a kiss onto your neck.

“Soon, my wife. Soon.” Andy told you, and he licked your mark. 

And you new life now, with his powerful Alpha Don starts now.

Summary: Steve and Bucky remember; they remember when omegas were common and not a myth. Though they’re in their late 40’s, early 50’s, and more silver than not, they remember.

They were gone for decades, the world was made up of only alphas and betas, no omegas to fill the void between the designations. There were no more omegas, and all hope was lost at getting them back.

Until a mysterious woman who is discovered to be an omega, from an alternate reality. She’s found hiding in an abandoned building, thrown from one reality to the next to save her life from the bleak state of the world she comes from.

maybe reader’s ex comes looking for her, finds her at Hard Deck?

I got you!

Your head felt like it was being split in two, you felt pain shooting up from your brainstem like a wicked fog until every inch of your brain was melded into one thick layer of searing agony.

And he stood there in the makeshift parking lot with a scowl on his face and his piercing eyes. He was waiting for you while you stood firm on the bottom step of the bar, knowing full well that eyes were on you from inside. The usual crowd, the men and women you’ve come to know while you were here, some more obvious than others.

Rooster and Vida, the two who were coupled together and inseparable, his hand on her back while she bit her tongue. It wasn’t her battle to face, it was yours, but seeing your cheating ex after he destroyed you it had pissed her off to no end.

He was back, declaring that he was going to take you home because he felt like he owned you. There was never a wedding, there wasn’t even a full engagement.

And he…he chose to break you when he brought another woman into your bed.

“Get your ass down here-“

“No!” You cut him off, your mind turning to mush. “I already said no!”

“Dammit, Y/N!” He raised his voice and even over the music you knew Jake was watching you, listening for the moment he needed to step in.

“Get your ass in the vehicle, right now!” Your ex-fiancé was now a brute and maybe he had always been one, or maybe it was a new symptom.

“I’m not going-“

“Your mama said you moved across the country. Why’d you do that, huh? Why’d you move so far from me?”

“Don’t make me fucking drag you-“

“I’m not going back! I’m not going back to you, and I’m not going back home!” You denied him, you denied him again and again.

In your denial, you had left yourself open. He stalked toward you and ripped you down the steps with such force that your legs gave way. You fought against him and felt the crack of flesh on flesh, the sting immediate.

One minute he was angry, the next he was soft after he let you fall and reached for you again.

You cupped your cheek, vision blurring and your eyes watering. You stumbled to your feet, hands bruised and cut from the pebbles and the small stones on the makeshift gravel road. You stumbled again, shock running through you and it took you a moment to hear the eery quiet of the bar, there was no music, and the weight of watchful eyes was more intense.

You could hear chairs scraping across the wooden floor, it cut through like a knife, and the door opened with a heavy thud. You knew who was there, you knew that Jake Seresin was standing on the edge of the door with a seething anger in his veins.

“Come back inside.” Vida had called for you, stuck and blocked from your ex’s view by Rooster. “Sweetie, come back inside.”

“Get in the fucking vehicle! You’re going home!” He screamed, he took another step toward you before strong, heavy footsteps came down the stairs and crunched gravel beneath them.

“Darlin’,” that soft and smooth voice came as he came to pass you, unafraid of your ex or his rage, “go back inside.”

“Jake-“

“I’m not asking.” He looked back at you, his eyes locking on your own. “Go back inside, darlin’.”

You turned, coerced by his voice and the soft demand that meant safety and security. You were met by Vida and Penny, the two of them stealing you away into the bar and a wall of pilots sealing off the entrance.

From behind you you could hear Rooster speak. “Hangman, you good?”

“Yeah, Rooster. I’m good.” He still had that cocky twang, but there was an air of severity in his voice. “We’re just gonna have a little talk.”

“I’ll get some ice.” Penny left you to walk around the bar, moving quickly while Vida you to sit by a table, one that was isolated from the rest.

“Shit, Y/N-“ she paused when you waved her off and raised your head, your cheek already feeling swollen and sore.
