though citlali loved the night before, dancing in the club, drinking until dawn, and cheering lando on after he convinced the club into letting him dj, the late mornings spent dazing in and out while being held by lando were incomparably better.

lando stirred, still half asleep, and softly asked, "are you cold, lali?"

"yeah, a little." she responded.

he rose from the bed and headed to the linen closet just outside their room. returning with yet another blanket, he crawled back into bed and wrapped it around the two of them, placing his warm hands over her cold ones.

she hummed in delight, snuggling back into him, and soon drifted to sleep once again.

as citlali woke from her warm slumber, she turned around to check if lando had woken up, only to be surprised by the empty right side of the bed.

glancing around the dim room, citlali sat up, trying to clear her foggy mind and recall whether lando had a media day today or not.

she was sure he hadn't.

just as she slipped out of bed to search for Lando, the door began to sway open. lando, using his elbow to open the door, entered with a small thermal mug in each hand.

"goodmorning, lali. i made us some hot cocoa." he said, smiling so gently that citlali could cry at the sight before her.

"lando...” she said, completely enamored, just as she felt the first time she saw him years ago.

he placed the cups on the bedside table before taking her into his arms and giving her the softest of kisses. lando was always so gentle with her, making sure she always knew that he cherished her beyond time.

he smiled, "Iali, it's the first snowfall of the season today."

her eyes lit up, "today? what!!"

lando nodded his head, "yes! i've set out a beanie and mittens for you. get your coat, and we can go out."

"you're too good, lando." she said, peppering kisses on his cheek before rushing to her closet to grab one. she stumbled into her bathroom, attempting to brush her teeth and slip into her coat simultaneously.

meanwhile, lando brought the mugs down to the kitchen, where he used the spare time to prepare quick pb & js.

lali rushed down stairs, sliding the beanie onto her head, “okay, lando, i'm ready! are you?"

lando turned around, humming, "mhm.”

the two enjoyed their sandwiches and sipped on their cocoa as they made their way out to the front yard.

citlali's eyes sparkled as the snow fell upon their beanies. she thought lando looked so pretty with snowflakes falling over him.

citlali sank to her knees, gathering snow into small, lumpy piles. after creating two, she stacked them on top of each other. she turned to lando and asked, "isn't she lovely?"

lando nodded, “yes, of course. though, she’s missing a friend.”

“really?”

lando mirrored her previous actions, creating yet another lumpy snowman right beside hers.

“look at them. they’re definitely in love.” lando confirmed.

“right! look at her little blush.” lali said, gently carving blush lines into the snowman's cheeks.

"and," lando said, stumbling through the snow to grab a stick with leaves. he returned and placed it behind his snowman's back, "-he's ready to surprise her with a very romantic, one-of-a-kind, leaf bouquet."

“oh, how cute!” lali smiled

they continued to enjoy the snow, creating little scenarios with their snow people. although lando initially wanted to name them kirk and kirkette, inspired by the odd, but fascinating, character from the show they had rewatched countless times, they eventually decided on luke and lorelai.
