I've known Merrick Kaufmann aka Suite Ava going on 3 years now. The kid has a major hard on for music. Its the sort of passion rarely seen by the normal musician. He has done his fair share of ventures around the music Genres but has finally come to his newly found comfort zone, in hip-hop. 

I've been hanging out with rappers and hip-hop artists since I was 15, do to one of my best and oldest friends Nas Briseno aka Thesis Himself. Nas is also known for being the producer and owner over at Ninth Year Music Productions. Also oddly enough, as a white kid from the Suburbs of the Twin Cities I fit in pretty well. So lets just say I've seen a good chunk of the different styles and personalities that come with the genre. Though the glue that bonded us all together was our common passion for our craft & music. 

The point of what I am trying to get at is that out of all my years listening, producing and just hanging out in the rap genre I have never experienced the same stature Suite Ava has. Not gonna lie, when I first met the guy I was pretty unsure of him and I thought he seemed like just another white kid trying to get into the rap game bc its the cool thing to do... I was wrong, really really wrong.

I've gotten to know him better over the years and the kid has passion for his craft. He is one of his own harshest critics when it comes to his tracks and the quality of work that he puts out. Which makes for an interesting progression within his music. He is still young and has a lot of life left to live and experience but for now he is writing what is on his mind and whats in his heart... Something I find commendable with any artist.

I know personally there aren't that many people reading my blogs... or hell probably no one is reading it but, if you for some reason have stumbled upon my blog and have just read this article do me a huge favor and click on the link to Suite Ava's soundcloud take a listen, download the tracks, share the music and just enjoy the hard work this kid has put into his tracks. Hopefully with more support, Suite Ava will have the motivation to keep going and perusing his dreams with his music career. Because I for one would love to see where his tracks are going to take him.
