the constant mentions of fire to paint the idea of the reader’s passion for suguru and the mention of changing the white flag metaphorically raised by geto, white a color usually associated with purity and innocence, peace and surrender (also white hot current also a great reference for fire and such) turned into the black of lust by the reader, sinful and dark, tainting it, it’s like in the first part how the reader’s love (obsession) tainted them like black ink spreading and now it has tainted suguru, an epitome of grace and pure love (especially towards his family) turning him into an accomplice in this twisted fantasy created by reader, filled to the rim with the darkest of emotions; lust, fear, shame and obsession.
