all of these have been confirmed by the devs, except for those in which i clarify the opposite (ie: those that i write with a "possibly", which have probably been only suggested). if you want the source for any of these specifically let me know!

and a big shoutout to felassan for answering my question, because i started wondering if i just made up the 'pause during cutscene' thing, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out where I'd heard that lol

the relationship between solas and rook! - from what they'd said it looks like they're gonna have a fun dynamic!!! i hope that it's kind of a bad relationship but that at some points there can be some appreciation, or respect. i think they said that it could be change, depending on you

cameos!!! - we know there will be some. confirmed morrigan cameo! my bets for others are on dorian (and mae), fenris (copium), zevran (copiumx2). and maybe these are reaches but... perhaps cassandra? leliana? illario? alistair? sten? either way im looking forward to it!

they haven't talked about rook as a character much so im a little worried about that, their personal journey, their dialogue etc :')

that rook doesn't seem to have different beginnings depending on his origin :( not a huge deal but tbh i loved that about origins

can't choose multiple pronouns :( perhaps it's possible? they've explicitly said that you can go by he, she or they, but i don't think that implies multiple at the same time. it can't be that hard to program it so that it randomly changes between two or more pronouns, right? idk about game development so i dont actually know, sorry if i'm ignorant

this is suuuper nitpicky but in relation to the graphics.. i kinda wish the skins looked slightly.. different? idk how to put it, but they look kind of smooth? maybe too much? i just wish they had a little bit more texture, it kinda looks like they have a beauty filter, imo, and i think it would look better if they look slightly differently

and i have mixed feelings about how the characters are stylized overall. like... y'know, the whole "cartoony" discourse. at first i didnt like it at all, but since we've seen more im way more on board. still... i kinda feel like some things could look a bit nicer

idk how i feel about how the darkspawn look. like it's not a huge deal to me either, but... i just wish they looked different. lol. they do look a little bit goofy

and idk if i like the... veiny/nervous system looking-thing in demons either? like, i like it in theory but tbh in practice im not too sure

tbh im just happy about most things they've said and shown so far. i think a lot of these things are a good sign. also, things like the "not ea app necessary" make me inclined to believe that this is something they've had to fight for (cause you know, if ea could choose they'd do things their way) and that's something i appreciate a lot. that's why i think this and a lot of other choices and changes they've made in relation to the last game, are good signs that they've listened to our feedback in a lot of things! and i hope this reflects in the entirety of the game. i hope it's the case. idk i'm positive about this game! a little scared ofc, because i care and i want it to be as good as possible, but excited nonetheless!

What was the first Dragon Age game you played?

I started at the beginning because I think Kogi and Feather would have manifested in showers of sparkles to berate me into oblivion if I hadn't, so DAO.

2. Which Dragon Age game is your favorite so far?

DA2. Listen, I love all of those bisexual disasters (except Fenris) so damn much, and while the whole thing is a little repetitive, I always find it to be more comfortable than annoying. I'm a sucker for a good framing device with an unreliable narrator. And while I love the Warden and the Inquisitor because they are blank slates that I can create anyone off of, it's nice that Hawke has a solid, actual character for me to love.

3. Do you usually play as a warrior, mage, or rogue? Which class are you planning to try first this time around? Which subclass?

I've got one of each in my canon worldstate, but Rogue is historically my favorite, even though I find mage easiest to play. I will almost certainly make a shitty little double-daggers rogue as my first Rook because all we know of Rook so far leads me to believe that she'd be besties with my Hawke, which means Rogue Supremacy.

5. Do you typically use a preset character and name or spend hours in the character creator coming up with a custom one?

Bahahaha, I think the first time I played DAI, I was in the CC for a solid two point five hours. I will be dicking around for nine years with hair color alone.

6. Do you have your Rook(s) planned out to any degree? If so, would you share some details or ideas you have?

I will need to know the canon surnames for all the races before I can really dive into planning a Rook. I can't do anything without a name, and my name has got to jive with the surname, so that's what I'll need to start with. I can say that she will almost certainly have red hair, since all of my previous First Characters have been redheads. Gotta stick with tradition.

9. Which romance, if any, do you plan to pursue first?

I have been trying to KISS Scout LACE HARDING for TEN YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (But Davrin is making a strong case for himself by simply existing. He'll probably be second.)

10. Which location are you most excited/hoping to explore in-game?

Weisshaupt. I want to know everything about how the official organization of the Wardens works, so I know how shitty the little Fereldan outpost has been all these years.

13. What’s one thing you’ve seen confirmed so far that you’re a fan of?

Mmmm everything about the character creator--the pronouns and body shapes and lighting and just... everything about it.

14. What’s one thing you’ve seen confirmed so far that you’re NOT a fan of?

mmmmmmrrrrrggggggg Ghilan'nain.

15. Do you have any unpopular opinions about DAV so far?

The character trailer was a blast and made me infinitely more excited for the game than anything else we've seen, I didn't think it was ""too MCU"" or ""quippy"" or whatever, I thought it was perfect Varric content and I loved it.

16. What’s one crack theory you subscribe to (yours or someone else’s)?

Sandal will show up at some point, possibly in the Black City, because he's actually massively important and possibly the Maker in disguise.

17. Are you interested in all the lore and speculation or do you focus more on the games and stories themselves?

Yes? To me, a lot of the lore is in the stories and the stories are about the lore, so they go together. I'm not the most speculative--I just want to know, I don't want to guess!--so I'm bouncing off the walls waiting for the actual game to drop so I can just go nuts. And I'm always really here for the characters, so that's what I'm most interested in.

18. Which aspect of fandom are you most looking forward to? (e.g. reading/writing fic, the bounty of gorgeous art, getting to know new people, etc.)

NEW ART SO MUCH NEW ART god bless every fanartist in this fandom, I cannoooottt waaaaiiiittt!! There is already so much amazing stuff in the tags, I can't wait until there's even more!!! I want to see everyone's Rooks, all of them, I cannot wait. Also I have not written fanfic in years, but if anything is going to get me to write some, it will be Dragon Age, so it will be great to get back into that, hopefully.

19. Are you planning to replay any of the previous games, watch Dragon Age: Absolution, or read any of the books/comics/short stories, or are there other games you want to play in the meantime?

Uh, Kogi and I watched the gameplay trailer and about ten minutes after we finished, I'd plugged DAI into the PS4 and booted everything up. So. Yes. I'm also finally reading Tevinter Nights after sitting on it for two years. AND I'm making my best friend play all three games from the beginning so she can join us in DA hell, we are deeply enjoying Origins rn. It's great. I am fully in the soup and there I shall remain until DAV appears.

 1 - How did you get into Dragon Age?

I don’t quite remember the timeline now, but I know I played Mass Effect first, which I got into from a book about video games. Then I kinda hopped over.

7 - Favorite DA:O backstory?

First of all [screams about how cool it is as a game mechanic to start out in different origins and how they influence how you view basically everything else in the game. Like, you might try to be objective about Duncan, but you’re always going to feel some kinda way depending on how he “saved” you.] 

The one that is nearest and dearest to my heart is the Mage origin. It’s the first one I played, and my Amell is basically my favorite child of my OCs. Just a fantastic example of a monkey’s paw wish for “I want to go out and do great things.” You are so fully unprepared to go travel the world and convince people to fight a war for you. :))

Besides that… probably Cousland. My Cousland dude only got about as far as Lothering, but…  the setup of meeting everyone and then the wham of the betrayal? And the lingering fear of letting the wrong people know who you really are, that the people who came for your family could still be trying to find you? And where is my brother??? Yeah, that’s a classic. 8 - Preferred class overall?

I am mage all the way, mostly for two reasons:

38 - Funniest moment in the games?

I haven’t actually romanced Bull myself, but the scene where your advisors walk in on you made me CRY laughing. Josephine ascending. Bull, reclining casually: “CULLEN, HOW’S IT GOIN.” Cassandra just being irritated. “Do you see this??” “NO.” It’s so good. 54 - Fluffiest headcanon ever?

When Fenris is trying to get back to making things up with Astrid Hawke, long before they ever get back around to talking about it, he starts gently reaching out to touch or hold her hand when he can tell she’s upset. He’s usually got those spiky gauntlets on so it’s not really about the touch so much as I’m here. I get it.

99 - Where would you live (Fereldan, Orlais, Free Marches etc?)

I know Kirkwall was falling to pieces, but it’s also where I felt the most at home, so Free Marches I guess!

100 - Circle, Templar, Chantry, Guard, Seeker, Inquisition, or none?

Circle if I gotta. Aequitarian with strong Libertarian leanings.

1. Race:

-I could be really boring and just stick with human but I honestly think I’d be like half Qunari half elf maybe? Like if you made a qunari shorter and a twink. Horns would probably be the ones that go straight back.

2. Class/Specialization:

-While I’d love to do magic I just don’t think I would have it (probably also wouldn’t be a good mix lol volatile emotions and magic=big problems). SO I’d be a rogue. I’ve always been silent enough to just “appear” behind someone and accidentally freak people out plus I really really like knives. idk they’re really cool. Specialization oof probably tempest because I’m not good at crafting things and with tempest you can at least feel like you’re using magic.

3. Your homeland?

- Probably Ostwick just cause there aren’t too many Qunari out in Ferelden and at least the Free Marches have seen Qunari before.

4. Your family?

-Father would be Qunari tal vashoth who broke free and set up his own bakery out in Ostwick. Mother would be a city elf who’s good at working in the forge. Would have a little sister who’s probably going to be a minstrel. Also kind of estranged from them all, like they write but he wouldn’t want to worry them with his travels. Theres also another sibling but we don’t talk about him ever :)

5. Who were you before?

-Before Inquisition? Probably just on his own trying to forge his own path. An aspiring author who can’t think of anything to write so he takes up odd jobs here and there. Sometimes hes a merc, other times he’s making bread, then sometimes he’s giving tattoos. He was never really someone important. 8. Your opinion on other races?

-Humans he thinks are alright, they’re quick to judge based off of looks and can either be huge assholes or pretty chill. City elves are treated horribly and they need a break, someone to speak up for them. Dalish elves stay secluded and he understands why. They’re fierce warriors though and he respects the hell out of them. Surface Dwarves are usually pretty chill, a fun crowd that could drink you under the table if you try. The Carta suck ass but you just don’t get involved with them. He’s never met the dwarves from Orzamar so he has no opinion. With Qunari usually Tal Vashoth are chill, there are assholes who just want blood and murder but that isn’t just limited to Qunari hes met plenty of humans just like that. He didn’t meet a Qunari that was actually part of the Qun until Iron Bull and at first he was honestly terrified. You hear so many stories of what they do that it leaves you scared which doesn’t help when you already have paranoia and ptsd. (don’t worry eventually he and bull become really good friends)

11. Where would you hang out in Skyhold?

Honestly? Either the library or his quarters. He’s got a lot of social anxiety and he likes quiet so he’d end up making his own little section in the library where he can just read or draw or write, and if its a really bad day he just stays in his quarters until he’s needed13. What armor would you wear?-Oof most of the armor for Rogues is pretty ugly in my opinion. I’ll tell you what this boy would be caught in, black pants and leather boots, he’d be wearing like a black and green flannel shirt with some leather bracers on his arms and like fingerless leather gloves for his hands (they’d also be compressing both wrists cause boy got shitty wrists). He’d also have a leather jacket and a scarf around his neck. (also he wears glasses or else he’s blind as shit for distance stuff)14. What would your room look like?

-Honestly its pretty bare bones. Maybe a few bookshelves that barely hold any books. A few trinkets like a mabari figurine or some crafts his family made for him. The rest would just be his wardrobe, knives and writing/drawing supplies. His bed would be simple, big enough to hold two people but no more. Theres about three blankets on the bed, the bed is always made and he sleeps on top of that and grabs a spare blanket to cover himself at night. He also has a bunch of pillows. The rest of it is a dog bed and a bunch of dog toys for his mabari mutt.15. Who would be your friends at Skyhold?

-I’d like to say he’d be good friends with Varric, Sera, Dorian, Bull, and Cole, maybe Cullen too. It takes a while for everyone to warm up, but the gays get along really fast so he gravitates to them initially and then Varric is like the dad friend and he likes to write too so there are plenty of late nights with the Inquisitor just info dumping about story ideas and character ideas with Varric and its fun. With Cole he was initially a little scared of the spirit but then it turns into a really great friendship and he’d think of Cole as a brother. Plus Cole is great for helping him calm down when he’s having a panic attack. 16. Would you have any friends outside of the Inquisition?

-No. He’s shit at making friends and tends to stay alone than try to make friends. It has a lot to do with his trauma, being told that he was never going to have friends that he wasn’t worth it, so he just doesn’t try. Whenever he was with a group for an extended period of time they would get friendly but he’d never really keep in contact and so no friends. Well he has one, his mabari mutt Mahogany or Huggy for short, but he’s with the Inquisitor so it doesn’t really count. 17. Who wouldn’t you get along with?

-While I love Cassandra and Vivienne’s characters I don’t think I’d actually get along with them. I’m not religious and I don’t like acting all important, so as Inquisitor this boy would probably be Vivienne’s worst nightmare of just dressing in flannel when he’s at Skyhold and Cassandra’s because he doesn’t support the Templars and doesn’t give a shit about the Chantry or the Divine (not in a rude way but he just doesn’t care about it). I think he’d try to be polite at least but I don’t think they’d get along. 18. Who would you romance?

-Mmmm that’s a really hard decision for me because Im stuck between choosing Bull or Dorian. They both have amazing qualities and I love them both so much, but I think just because being a Qunari the inquisitor would be initially more hesitant about being around Bull I’d go with Dorian. Dorian and the Inquisitor would have a lot of personal hurt that they could help each other with and spend a lot of time just cuddling and talking through the night. The inquisitor would get very protective of Dorian during battles and probably get a little self sacraficey. 23. What would be on your tombstone in the fade (What are you afraid of)?

-Honestly? its a toss up between himself and dying alone

(◡‿◡✿) 1. favourite game in the series ok... i don’t know if you already figured it out but my total fave is dao. why? maybe is the nostalgic feelings this game gives me or... i played it so many mcfucking times that i just get this hollow feeling inside my chest when i haven’t played it for weeks... idk. the trespasser dlc was spectacular too and gave my lavellan a lot of personality (what i thought the dai base game lacked, bc it made me feel like my inquisitor was an empty shell with no personality, solas’ romance save the dai base game to me tbqh). but... you can create such complex personalities in dao for your warden, and the relationships are so so realistic. i think (dao) is neat lmao. 

2. how did you discover dragon age? before being a dragon age fan i was a dark souls fan; i breath dark souls, i read dark souls, i ate dark souls, i was quite obsessed with dark souls, and before dark souls i was an obsessed skyrim fan (oNLY SKYRIM, not the previous games ashdgjasdgh) and with skyrim that was the first time i made video game oc's, like... they had such complex personalities and i cannot make complex character now... aNYWAY i'm getting carried away: i knew dragon age bc dai was being lunched and ALL the people i followed reblogged stuff about dai, and then i bought dao and loved it!!

(tho briala was whitewashed lmao) 12. favourite DLCs? obviously: awakening and trespasser. these two dlc's were mcfUCKING AMAZING. i mean, with dao i expected the same quality of the base game, but trespasser was such an excelent and good experience, it gave a lot of insight to our inquisitors and also: sOOULASSSSS, so yep! i mainly lOVED trespasser and i hope weekes guides the team to make a game at least as good as this dlc! (tho, if ea is a greedy bintch this time [as always lol] it doesn't matter how many times the bioware time tries, ea will force them to do a shitty game :/) 13. things that annoy you how viv, anders and sera are written, i mean, i loved anders the first time i played da2 but his personality is obviously written to annoy the fuck outta you, tho i loved how he expressed his ideals freely (tho sometimes he even seemed too traidtional to me about topics like blood magic :/), but sera and viv were a lil harder to befriend and like, and i still don't like much viv, but i love her as a character, y'kno 14. orlais or ferelden? tbh, if i gotta live in one of those two places i would choose ferelden by fAR. but, now, if we're talking about which is more interesting; orlais. 15. templars or mages? like @/blckwall said: all templars are bastards :). i would love if thedas had independent magic schools, that there were no higher representatives or charges, that every village or city had its own magic school, and the crown would be the responsable of manage its needs. i haven't thought much about this so my thoughts are quite vague :/ 16. if you have multiple characters, are they in different/parallel universes or in the same one? they're from different universes, tho i'd love the idea of all of them being in the same universe, but some worlds states are incompatible with others. 17. what did you name your pets? (mabari, summoned animals, mounts, etc) in dao: barkspawn (i'm extremelly predictable, sorry u_u') 18. have you installed any mods? all my dragon age games are modded as fUCK. i mean, i think dao is the most heavy modded game i have?? How often do you write?

I try to write whenever I can, preferably every day (having all my stuff on google docs makes it super easy, I can at least jot something down to refine later whenever I get an idea), but I don’t push myself too much. I got burnt out creatively last year and didn’t write for.... about seven months until I got into my current fandom.

Do you have a routine for writing?

Mmmm weekday writing tends to be minimal (usually typed on my phone when taking a break from work or at lunch), weekend writing is a lot of rereading, fact checking, and bouncing ideas off people to maintain continuity (especially in my AUs that have multiple stories and connect with other peoples’ works). If the weather is rainy, I’m usually super productive and write during the day, but most of my writing happens at night. 

I usually handwrite snippets when I’m at the laundromat each week, as a way to kind of just focus on writing without getting distracted, and it’s helped immensely whenever I feel blocked. What’s your favourite kinks/tropes/pairing?

Oooh um, I love writing quieter, softer romances. Couples who are slightly awkward around people, but that can let down their walls around each other are my thing. soft kisses/gestures of affection, forehead kisses, and the pairing just absorbing/basking in each others’ presence. I usually write older couples, and a lot lately have been het (though I do often headcanon one or both or more of said couple/pairing/etc to not be entirely straight)

Do you have a favorite fic of yours?

Currently, my favorite might be there’s a hunger within these wounded hearts simply because I’m still playing a lot in that au and it has a lot of my personal headcanons for backstories of the main pairing and I’m getting the chance to explore a lot of interesting ideas in it for Alice and Matthew (thank you, Leah, for writing AMKOL and prodding me to start this!) Your fic with the most kudos?

The Five Times Cassandra Caught Varric, And The One Time She Didn’t (which is adorable because I love this story and the challenge it brought me, plus Myranda’s one of my favorite Inquisitors) Anything you don’t like about your writing?

I feel like I can’t really do action all that well? I mean, it might just take more practice, but a lot of the times what’s going on in my mind doesn’t always translate the same way onto the page, but I’m working on it. I also don’t like that some characters are hard for me to grasp when writing. I write in 3rd person, often changing perspectives from character to character, and some characters are just hard for me to get their voice right (I’m looking at you, Dr. Lucien Blake!) Now something you do like?

My dialogue/banter! I love writing couples who can bandy witty words back and forth, or just simply tease each other in good fun. I also like describing the surroundings in fic, my 100/Sense8 AU gives me plenty of opportunities to do this since the characters are all experiencing and seeing new things and sights and sensations (like Abby seeing and feeling snow for the first time on Earth)

40 Questions - Meme for Shippers

So @bethanyactually was doing these yesterday, and I wanted to answer them all, so I am! I’ll do a couple then put the rest under a cut so you all don’t get a wall of text. :D (I’ve actually had this open in a word document for about a week, so it’s way later than I intended to post hahahaha whoops)

1.  Talk about the first ship you ever had. OH MAN. My wee shipper heart! I think (think!) the first one I ever had was the couple from Today’s Special? That kids show where the mannequin came to life and they were obviously in love with eachother.

2.  Talk about three of the most important ships throughout your life. Oooo in my life? Well…. Snape/Hermione was one that I shipped for YEARS as a teen (I still ship them but don’t actively read about them). Bulma/Vegeta from DBZ really got me into fandom as a youngling. Inquisitor/Cullen is so important to me too, because of the impact that Dragon Age Inquisition had on me.

3.  What’s your current OTP? But how do I pick just one? Right this second I have tabs open for stories to read with Bellamy/Clarke, from The 100. And also Jyn/Cassian from Rogue One. And a couple random Inquisitor/Cullen stories and Steve/Bucky ones.

4.  What’s your current NOTP? Um….. There isn’t a lot I don’t ship, really….. Hm…. Haha - Voldemort/Hermione. I don’t know what was happening in the internet last week but wow. Ooooo wait I thought of one! Ron/Hermione. Nope, don’t like it.

5.  Do you have any poly ships? Damn you, Leverage, but you made me ship it. So hard. SO HARD.

6.  How do you feel about love triangles? While I’m pretty much over them right now, done right I don’t necessarily dislike them. Sometimes. Really though, at this point in my reading/shipping life, a love triangle seems like such a contrived plot point that I just want it to go away.

7.  How do you feel about RPF? It makes me really uncomfortable, and I don’t read it. Fictional characters are wonderful to write about, but real people are actually real people and there is a line there, I think. (Though, when I was but a young teen, a couple friends and I were deep DEEP into writing Hanson RPF – I think we wrote that they moved in next door? It spawned and epic and ultimately weirdly tragic tale.)

8.  Have you ever shipped yourself with a character? Have I ever introduced you to my fictional husband, Ser Cullen Stanton Rutherford? (Though honestly, I actually ship myself more with the Iron Bull, because I can’t play through his romance in game.)

9.  Do you have many ships that never got together at all? Yesssssss so many. Betty/Jughead (I haven’t thought of them in so long, thanks Riverdale), let’s not even get into Stiles/Derek, are Clarke/Bellamy actually together? I don’t know, I think most of my ships are not canon. I tend to like those almost more in fandom, because romances that happen on screen have already happened! It’s a weird feeling.  

10.  Do you ship any characters that have never met? No, I can’t think of any?

11.  Talk about your favorite first kiss. Ooooo Veronica and Logan. They have an A+ first kiss.

12.  Have you ever been disappointed when your ship finally got together? Well, most of my ships don’t…

13.  Has a ship ever broken your heart? YES. Elizabeth and Will in Pirates of the Caribbean. The ending of the first trilogy, where they can only be together for one day every 10 years was SO UNSATISFYING I can’t actually watch the movies again.

14.  How do you feel about will they/won’t they? Uggggg. I don’t mind a bit of tension about the relationship, but if it’s dragged on too long I lose interest, and frankly think the relationship becomes unhealthy. Pining is great, pining for years is awkward. (See: Bones)

15.  Have you ever “shipped at first sight”? Yes, pretty much always.

16.  Talk about a ship you initially disliked. I would say probably my OT3 from Leverage, just because I didn’t want an OT3 in my life LOL.

17.  Talk about a pairing you’ve stopped shipping romantically. When I was reading the first Mistborn book, I initially shipped Vin and Kelsier together. However as the book progressed, they fell into more of a father/daughter relationship which suited the characters perfectly.

18.  Talk about a moment which made you question an entire ship. I’m sure there is something but I’m drawing a blank, friends. A BLANK. I guess the entire Civil War arc made me question all my Steve/Tony feels?

19.  Have you ever shipped something despite yourself? Well, I am normally not into poly relationships, but then ALONG CAME LEVERAGE AND HERE WE ARE. Lordie. The three of them are just so in love. I really didn’t want anything to do with The 100 as a show either, but I slipped and fell in thanks to the fanfiction LOL.

20.  Talk about a ship you feel alone in shipping. Lassiter/Shawn from Psych. I mean. Clearly they love eachother. But there just isn’t a whole lot of fanfiction! One day, maybe!

21.  Is there a ship you just don’t get, but have nothing against? Scott/Stiles, I think. I really love them as brothers, and have a hard time moving past that!

22.  Which of your ships have the best chemistry? Steve/Bucky, probably. Sterek is a close second too!

23.  Which of your ships deserve better writing? All have good writing, I think, but I think the Jack/Phryne ship needs more. Much more. Because I love them and I need it :D (Actually, more is basically what I want for all fandoms ever, because I’m just so greedy LOL)

24.  Do you mostly ship canon pairings? No, I think I ship the ones that never really happen the most!

25.  Have you ever shipped a pairing before you even started watching the show/movie simply because of gifs and graphics or similar? I have never had the slightest desire to watch The 100, but I ship Bellamy/Clarke so hard. I also started watching Teen Wolf solely because of the quality Sterek fandom of the time.

26.  Have you noticed a pattern in your shipping? Is there a romantic dynamic you’re more drawn to? I love enemies to lovers, I love “OOOPS I caught a feeling what do I do”, I love an age difference (only in fiction kids, only in fiction), I love sass and pining. I love a long, drawn out story where both of the idiots think the other doesn’t have any romantic feelings. Oh, and coffee shop AUs. Classic.

27.  Is there a ship you’ve shipped for most of your life? Not really, though Snape/Hermione is probably the longest running one.

28.  Does shipping come easily to you? As easy as breathing. I love love! Show me two people with the slightest degree of feelings and BAM I have probably shipped it.

29.  Do you need to ship something to really enjoy a movie/book/tv show/comic? No, but it certainly helps! And frankly, unless it is a piece of entertainment with only one person I am probably going to find the ship hiding in it.

30.  Name a couple of fandoms in which you have no ships. Ahahahahahahahhaha it’s possible that one doesn’t exist but TRY ME INTERNET.

31.  Talk about one of your favorite headcanons for a ship you love. It’s not really a headcannon per se, but I’ve read a lot of fanfics where Jyn/Cassian share a bed before they really admit their feelings and I love itttttt.

37.  Do you have a favorite trope and/or AU for your OTP? Coffeeshop AUs are just the best I think. A long slow burn and enemies to lovers is also great.

38.  Do you like and use ship names? I think the only one I really use is Sterek, the rest of them are name/name.

39.  Is there a fictional relationship you’d really want for yourself? Mmmm nah. I mean, I love my husband a lot, and frankly, we put our favorite characters through some shit!

40.  If you could change one thing about your OTP, what would that be? Hahahah I don’t have an OTP – the closest I can get is sometimes an OTP within a fandom lol. Let’s see. I think across the board I would like to see more producers/writers who love the fandom actually DO something with that information. Less queerbaiting and actually making it canon, for a start (looking at you, Teen Wolf). If there are some unattached people that are loudly and enthusiastically paired together, why not try it out? Sometimes the writers have a different path in mind, and I get that, but so often in shows it’s to draw out the tension or to just ignore it entirely. And please, stop the love triangles.

How old are they? 17 during the Sith Inquisitor prologue, 20 by the time she makes Darth.

What gender are they? MMhnuh... girl-adjacent

What is their romantic/sexual orientation? It’s Complicated. Not much in the way of gender preference beyond being warier around men than she is around non-men (she’s pretty much always got her guard up, though, so the difference is actually pretty minor), not much in the way of sexual attraction either.

How tall are they? 5′3

What do they look like? Short n curvy, warm brown skin, long black hair. She cuts it at several points, but it grows back pretty fast.

What are their defining features? Pronounced aquiline nose, bright orange/amber eyes, high cheekbones.

Does their name have a meaning? Meant as a nod to the author of Divine Comedy, and about a year later I found out that it can also refer to “a tempo of moderate speed.” Pronounced like this and means either gift or tithe in Zabraki, depending on which syllable you stress.

What family do they have? She isn’t in contact with her biological family - halfway assumes that they died, mostly doesn’t care. About a year after she becomes a Darth, Fene and Mako help her track her parents down, and the reunion goes... well, about as well as you’d expect.

Do they have a good relationship with their family? No.

If not, why not? Her parents (Balmorran farm boy who Wanted To See The Galaxy and ex-Mandalorian ex-con) left her with her father’s extended family when she was around six, and she was on the streets of Sobrik by the time she was eight. Wartime food shortages are a bad time to be saddled with a child you don’t really want.

Where do they live? She moves around more than she’d like, but home is a compound on Korriban.

Is it a safe place? About as safe as anywhere is for someone who’s made as many enemies as she has.

Are they poor, middle-class or wealthy? Pretty wealthy.

Do they look up to anyone? Hmmmm... once she got high enough up on the food chain to learn what actually happened, she admired Exal Kressh. There are a lot of times when she thinks that going out in a blaze of glory would be a much better option than her long game of espionage and power struggles. At least she wouldn’t have to keep wondering.

Who is their best friend? Fene.

Do they have any enemies? Sixty percent of the Sith Empire, on a good day.

Who is the person they hate most in the world? Hrrhm. Generally speaking, probably Vitiate, because he’s the one who’s responsible for creating the empire that ground her home into dust and sold her like chattel, but he’s pretty distant, so it’s more of an abstract hatred. Probably Darth Thanaton, both because he makes no secret of his contempt for her origins, and because she can’t get a good foothold in his Sphere.

Do they have any love/hate relationships? O R R O

Have they ever fallen in love? ... Kind of? She’s sort of in love with Orro, and it’s not exactly romantic, but it’s not exactly platonic either. She also ends up romancing Arcann (would've romanced Vaylin if you weren’t railroaded into killing her), because I like the symmetry of Terrible Murder-Cyborgs Who Are Only Mostly Redeemed Trying To Become Better People Together.

Who is the person they love the most in the world? Orro.

Does that person love them back? Yes, but Orro is also a loved-I-not-honor-more Colonel in the Grand Army of the Republic, and has tried to capture/kill her on multiple occasions. An’Dante kind of knows that she was right to, which only makes things worse between them.

Have they ever hurt or lost anyone? She kind of hurts people as a career, but specifically, she stabbed Orro in the back with her own vibroknife, and Orro has, understandably, never really trusted her again.

Are they a good shoulder to cry on? ... kind of? She’s a good listener, and the kind of friend who offers to strangle your ex with their own intestines.

Are they well liked? Not.... really? She has a sizeable power base, but that’s more a consequence of shared goals and her own political acumen (blackmail. so much blackmail.)

How do they handle being complimented? Reasonably well? As long as it’s coming from someone she trusts, she’ll be a bit surprised at first, but thank them sincerely. She likes being praised by everyone - there’s part of her that was even vying for Harkun’s favor - but if someone like Darth Mortis were to compliment her cunning, her response would be a sneering “How would you recognize cunning if you saw it?”

Are they an affectionate person? Not really. She has a very small number of people she cares about, and sees them... pretty rarely. Even then, she’s had some remarkably harsh object lessons about showing affection, and it’s only gotten more dangerous for people to know who she cares about.

Are they very driven? She would’ve died a very long time ago if she wasn’t.

Are they very political? She’s literally wiped out entire family lines over politics, so yeah.

What kind of state is the world that they live in? Cosmic tug-of-war between corrupt ineffective bureaucracy and totalitarian fascist theocracy.

What are the world leaders like? She’s one of them, and the fact that she’s one of the better ones is... really all that needs to be said on the matter.

Does the character worry about their place in society? Constantly. She’s a former slave who’s currently playing half the Dark Council off against the other half, and if just about anyone catches on to what she’s trying to do, the best thing she can hope for is execution-by-vivisection.

If they could change one thing, what would it be? Convince Orro to join her.

Do they like themselves? ... Not really? There are things she’s quite arrogant about, but she doesn’t think that she’s a good person. A necessary person, sure, but that’s not the same thing.

Are they a good person? Not remotely.

Are they very forgiving? No.

Do they believe in destiny? Sometimes she’s afraid that she does. Fairly standard prophetangst over the ontological implications of foreknowledge.

Are they trustworthy? No.

Are they a good liar? Yes. She has to be.

How do they react to criticism? Poorly. She’s arrogant, bitchy, and has a chip on her shoulder the size of the Magellanic Cloud.

What is their moral alignment? Neutral Evil.

Can they fight? Yes, but she’s more of an assassin than a brawler.

Would they ever purposefully hurt someone? Greatest Hits of the horrible things she’s done to other people’s bodies include:

Boiling eyes with lightning

Force-choking to the point of death and/or permanent brain injury

Decapitation

Smothering with own lung tissue

Stabbing out eyes with broken pieces of finger bones

Have they ever been seriously injured? Mmmm. Aside from the Force Ghost-backlash, an infected burn/brand nearly killed her when she was about twelve.

Do they know first aid? Not... really. She can cauterize wounds with her lightsaber, but that’s about it. She’s shit at force healing, too.

Do they have any other survival skills? Not as far as, like, wilderness survival is concerned. She knows some of the basics of putting up camp, and she could probably survive in the deserts on Korriban for... maybe a week, without outside assistance. Maybe a bit longer, depending on how much she could draw on the Force.

Are they a fast learner? She’s had to be.

How intelligent are they? Pretty intelligent. She’s fluent in multiple languages, well-read (esp. for someone who was illiterate for the first 17 years of her life), and good at long-term strategy to the point that she can outplay men several times her age in espionage.

What is the school system like? The Korriban Academy was pretty awful. Remember the scene from Ender’s Game, where Graff singles Ender out as a target for like. petty cruelty and isolation. That, but the students are actively encouraged to kill each other.

What is their job? On paper, her job is overseeing the Assassin’s Pyramid. In practice, her power base also includes significant fractions of Military Strategy (mostly to keep tabs on Orro, shhhh), Sith Philosophy (useful for keeping her reformist tendencies on the down-low and painting rivals as heretics), and Imperial Intelligence.

Do they enjoy their job? Kind of. Even if she tells herself that it’s for the greater good, she knows that she’s complicit in some horrible things. Still, the intellectual challenge of it, and the ability to blindside Sith traditionalists with her cunning because no-one thinks that a simple slave could outplay them... there’s a thrill to it.
