Laughing at something the person she was talking to said Helena couldn’t help but feel so free. She always loved bonfire night back in the UK but she’d never really done anything like this before. Taking a sip of her drink she smiled and looked round her “I always loved the smell of a bonfire! That don’t sound odd, does it ?” She asked them. The fire popped crackled as people’s shadows seemed to almost be dancing in the light from the fire.

What is SakuWriMo?

If you’re reading this, you’re probably wondering what this event is, right? To those of you who know, NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month, is a time of year dedicated to writers of all skill levels to challenge themselves to write 50k for an original work during the entire month of November. It’s a pretty daunting challenge, thing being, not everyone has an original work or is interested in creating something original. So, what’s SakuWriMo? Like NaNoWriMo, SakuWriMo--or, Sakura Writing Month--will be a prospective event dedicated to writing Sakura-centric or Multisaku works. The difference is, of course, that the premise will be somewhat different. Centered on fanfic instead of an original work, it could be anywhere between writing 50k of oneshots for the month, 50k towards something entirely new, 50k for however many fics, 50k in collaboration on a work with friends, 50k on something already in existence you want to focus on solely--the sky’s the limit. 

Essentially, we want to create and encourage Sakura fanfic writers everywhere! (Though, non-writers are welcome to join, as you’ll see!)
