Because I want it to be able to be enjoyed by as many as possible, I tried to make the questions fairly easy, but please let me know if you'd like a harder version, or simply more things like this too. MAMAMOO AT MMA 2019

While i am extremely happy for BTS, i am disappointed for what happened to Mamamoo. These girls have been mistreated in so many ways and it pisses me off both as a human and as a fan, i don't think that anybody would have liked what happened if they were in their place. These talented women were told to perform before rookie groups and when it was their moment to step on stage they could perform only for 4 minutes (while other groups were allowed to perform for a longer span of time). I am happy that they shaded the award show, i am losing respect for every award show honestly..., they are managed badly, organization is nowhere to be found, they don't treat everybody equaly..., i am sick and tired of groups being mocked by these award shows, this needs to stop, where is the seriousness?, awards are not stupid games, you know?, consequently the management of the show should be perfect and carefuly taken care of, with this being said i'll add one more thing: Mamamoo has performed spectacularly anyways, even with only 4 minutes, this fact demonstrates that they are extremely talented and that they deserve to be treated like the queens that they are.

MMA Mamamoo Tea:

I'm late to the party but-

MMA needs to sack the freaking production team or whoever who agreed to cut Mamamoo's performance down by sooo much. The performance distribution isn't JUST unfair but also seems superrrr intentional. As if it was a personal attack to Mamamoo???

Rookie groups had 10-15min, how could you only give a senior & well-favored group like Mamamoo only 7min?! This injustice is so unprofessionally biased and wrong in so many ways. They should really rethink their working ways before they piss off even more groups in the future. One day, nobody would even want to perform for them. Ha.

usually around this time of the year i’d slowly start getting excited for the MMAs and MAMA and the gayos. yes i know it’s july, i fucking love the end of the year celebrations okay? december is such an exciting month because of these shows. everyone goes all out with their performances and everyone of note in the industry is there, it almost feels like a yearly “state of kpop” kinda thing (with some notable exceptions). and the strange shit they sometimes do for the gayos. like that awful bts christmas carol medley at gayo daejeon last year?? amazing. and the collabs! it’s the only time of year we get intergroup collabs! i’m still reeling from hwasa and chungha dancing to mi gente. and i love the reaction shots of all the groups dancing to and hyping up the other performances.

but this year they might not happen at all or if they do it’ll be some weird studio show without any cheers and fanchants where they all sing into the camera and have to fake being hyped. :/

i mean obviously it’s good that they don’t happen like they usually do, i don’t want people to be put at risk just so that i can see my kpop girls and boys dance. but let me just be a little sad for a minute, about not having this to look forward to this year. :(

Melon Music Awards 2019

My OPINION:

The MMAs are usually my favourite music award show in KPop but this year it was a little bit weird. No YG Artists, no SM Artists ... I loved a lot of the performances, especially ITZY, Mamamoo and BTS, Heize und Chungha were great too. But there were hardly any 3rd Gen Idols there To the performences:

TXT: They didn’t deserve so much time as rookie group (sorry). BigHit put a lot of Budget in their performance and it was really good, but how did they get so much time.

ITZY: Loved every bit of it, especially the intro and the outfits.

Mamamoo: What the fuck, melon? They were the second biggest act. They charted really well this year and they were the biggest female act Melon had (yeah, even bigger than Chungha) and they had such a short stage. Maybe they had to leave afterwards but I don’t know.

BTS: Still too much. Melon is an important award show for BTS because it’s where they won their first daesang(?): I loved the RM Solo and it was very nostalgic to see Boy IN love. Dionysus stage was great but a little all over the place and why they needed the horses? and the cowboy outfits by the back up dancers were so out of place??? I loved the N.O. dancebreak, also very nostalgic for any BTS fans but the performance was like five minutes too long and it would have been better if they were more coherensive with it.

All in all good stages and a good award show, but it felt more like BTS and friends. Mamamoo should have had a longer stage and TXT stage was too much for rookies (in my opinion).
