dear ebay sellers please stop referring to mlp toys as "well loved and cared for" i beg of you it makes my already bad "attaching human emotion and feeling onto toys and plushies" thing even worse than it already is-

can we all agree that tinsil hair is by far the worst trait and ugliest part of any mlp figure no matter the generation. WHERE NOT ONLY it cannot br styled properly but it is completely butt ugly and makes the hair feel cheap even if the hair quality feels good?

sorry purist collectors. that is getting cut out IMMIDIATELY

Hey does anyone know, or know someone who knows, anything about selling vintage MLP figures? I know this is suuuper random and out of context for my account - I dont know much about MLP or really have any interest in it - But I found some vintage MLP figures at an antique store a while back and, intrigued, asked someone about them and turns out one of them is a really rare limited run figure - The long hair Caribbean Delight figure from gen 3 I think, and while her hair is frizzy and she has some pink marks and smudges on her, the person I was talking to think that they should be removeable and fixable with the right tools - I am living in a college dorm and dont have the supplies needed myself, but I am a college student and need money so i figured i'd see if anyone knew the best way to go about selling her. Theres no listings for her online at all - she's rare - so I don't even know where to start. Bc she's not in perfect condition (physically in good condition, just the smudges and frizzy hair) of course I'm not expecting Peak Price for her but anything helps.

If anyone has any info that might help or is interested in her please dm me shes been sitting in my desk drawer for like a month now Pic of the pony:

G4 Talking Princess Celestia (2010, pink)

she's a little raggedy on account of 1. childhood stuff (read: dragging all my ponies through the dirt because they were having "horse fun" outside and drawing on them) alongside 2. being chewed to bits by a dog, the latter being why she's missing a horn and the former being why her hair, despite having been recently brushed/braided, is still an absolute mess (seriously, what did i do to her? she has like, dry chunks of brownish gunk in some of her knots, is that ancient dirt or what?)

however, despite this:

she still lights up and talks! it took a bit to get her to say each phrase for the video (they seem to play randomly? as noted by the looping of a few)

speaking of, i've been meaning to get the later release (white celestia) as well as all the limited edition light up/talking ponies (chrysalis/nightmare moon/cadence/the ponymania talking celestia/twilight sparkle) so- stay tuned for that, since G4s are incredibly cheap on ebay - i'll probably have the whole collection by christmas, if the MM hoodie i want isn't taking most of the budget there lol

honestly whenever i buy mlp toys from thrift stores or ebay and such i just cant bring myself to brush the hair if its already been styled by its previous owner.

it feels like their passion for mlp lives on through the way they styled/customized their merch, or that its almost like a strange form of interaction with this random person ive never actually met, just because i now get to enjoy the way in which they styled some ponies hair before.

these toys and plushies were very well taken care of by their previous owners and i am not taking that away from them xP
