Re animating this shot with the objetive of copying the exquisite work of flying bark studio.
Tumblr media
Thought I really wanna say, now that I recreated this shot I can appreciate that the timing and movement is great, actually.
The only thing that was missing to achieve the flying bark spark ✨ was adding perspective to the face and the torso.

What is your beef with adult bluey fans though? I'm kinda confused. People seem really worked up about them but I don't see how it's any different than adult mlp fans or sesame street fans
I have a few issues with the concept of adult Bluey fans, I don't hate or even dislike anyone particularly just because of what they enjoy, I mostly just think it's super corny how a lot of them seem to act like it's a gift from God that's curing all of their childhood trauma and mental illness. Like. It's a show for pre-schoolers. It's not that deep.
Now, I'm a nanny, and before that I did a lot of babysitting in high school. I've seen my fair share of children's television. I've seen MLP and Sesame Street and even a couple episodes of Bluey. But I never actually sit and watch them in my own time, only ever when I have a kid I need to keep entertained, and these shows will sometimes make me look up from whatever I'm doing and give a little chuckle. In my free time I tend to seek out stuff actually made for adults because I find it much more stimulating I guess.
Now, since those were the two examples you gave those are what I'm going to compare it to.
MLP, for starters, has a higher age demographic, it's not a show for preschoolers, it's for older kids to probably preteens. As such, it's a more mature show while still being age appropriate, it has more mature plot lines and more mature humor, which makes me as an adult enjoy it more. It's been a long time since I've watched any of Friendship Is Magic but I do remember specifically the few episodes of Bluey that I've seen, I just found it really boring and immature. Because it's a show for preschoolers the main characters are preschool aged, which makes it much harder for me to relate to them as I would with the characters of MLP who are pretty young but still ambiguously aged enough that I can find myself relating to them. So when adults with seemingly adult problems are relating to preschool aged characters with preschool problems, it just puts me off you know?
Now on the other hand with Sesame Street, Bluey could never and will never be on the same plane as Sesame Street. I don't enjoy that show so much for the plot or whatever but for the artistry that goes into it. Now I'm biased because I'm a huge Muppet fan but Bluey is just another animated kids show, that's all it is and all it'll ever be. Sesame Street, especially before it started overusing 3D animation in the 00s, is visually dynamic, switching between live action and animation (even experimental animation and filmmaking), it is filled with gorgeous puppets puppeteered by the best performers in the industry, and constantly has really cool guest stars (see my tag about John Leguizamo in the op).
Oh and I guess in the op I also compared it to Thomas and Friends, I mostly just enjoy that show for how many literally train wrecks happen on the regular in it. Sodor truly is the Spiders Georg of derailments.
All of that to say, I don't really have beef with adult Bluey fans, I just think they're really corny for being so invested in a preschool show that I personally find to be mediocre when there's much better shows out there.
