I feel like I could also say so much more about Goblin, because I’ve also been considering a rewatch.

What a fun month! I made a new friend, and found a new favorite show! I was so correct about how much Japanse QL we were getting and how much we’ve gotten in the past year. Though I was disappointed in the end of Drama Shower, I’m still glad that MBS is making BL…and whatever Red Blue is (I want to watch it so bad). My love for Dynamite has only grown since I wrote that post. I need to see so much more Aungpao this year.

I think the Thai live action might be the best one for viewers, but damn is the anime still my favorite. Perfect Propose also may have been short, but that show has stuck with me. I still think about Kai giving Hiro the first good sleep he’s had in forever.

I also am so sad that MLMU wasn’t something I could enjoy. I was so amped after Cherry Magic TH and had real hope that this could also be fantastic.

Let's Talk BL: My Love Mix Up Th

Ep. 1

Welcome to my other version of crack posts! This doesn't have any screenshots sorry 😅

Also, a little spoiler warning for those who haven't watched the original Kieta Hatsukoi, I might reference it a little, but it won't be any great big reveals, just small comparisons here and there. This is for the show only, since I haven't read the manga.

I know I shouldn't be putting this right at the top (and honestly, feel free to ignore this particular point, it's entirely a personal opinion), but it's bugging me a little. In the special eps, the director as well as GemFourth have said how their characters are completely opposite to their own personalities, and how the roles were very challenging for them. They are both incredible actors, especially for their age. But, they're young, and suppressing their very personalities is hard. And it shows a bit. Not much, but sometimes, Kongthap has to frown to remain serious, Atom has to actively be hyper etc etc. It doesn't hamper the show in anyway, but it does make my eye twitch because if only they had switched roles, the boys would have soared. This is no way a criticism, I just think it would have been easier for them and the result could have been a bit more finely tuned. I do fear a little for them during the harder scenes.

Pahn is very cute and amazing and portrays Mudmee so well. (Will I have a smol crush on Mudmee just as I did on Hashimoto-chan? Yeah, probably)

The veggies scene was absolutely hilarious. They probably had to shoot that so many times 😭

This version is a little more fast-paced, me thinks, but I don't really mind

The colours are as obvious (and probably the same) as the original. (Kieta was so colour coded, even a rookie like me could see them vividly 😭👍🏼) For more about colours, I'd recommend visiting @respectthepetty

I liked how they showed the origin story of the cat (like in Cherry Magic Th).

Speaking of Cherry Magic. To be very honest, the original Japanese version of Cherry Magic wasn't very high on my favorites list, so I was a bit skeptical about the Thai remake. I was pleasantly surprised, and the Th version will always be one of my top 8 BLs. I was skeptical about MLMU for the exact opposite reason. I adore Kieta Hatsukoi. And that charm would be very hard to recreate, but I decided to wait and see. Till now, my hope remains that this'll be another Cherry Magic 😌 (maybe not that perfect, but still)

WE ARE GETTING THE DANCE SCENE IN EP 2 ITSELF WHAT-

I have nothing to say about character chemistry (it's GemFourth duh); I do have a teeny problem with the lighting/filter (I think the rooftop scenes might have been overexposed so they had to filter it or something), but after reading through the tags I realized that's not just me; the cinematography is so far so good and the characters are - it's just ep 1, mind you - well portrayed.

The unique friendship between Atom and Half is also nicely done.

HOW COULD I FORGET. The ads *vice versa war flashbacks*. It's just so hilarious. At this point, I'm just looking forward to all the ad placements. It's even more funny because GemFourth are the presenters for like 4 of them 😭😭👍🏼

[mlmu ep 11 spoilers ->] surprise au Chinzilla where Gun doesn't exist and Sound is band leader??? (or perhaps Gun does exist but he never returned to the band after Sound took over in early msp? so many questions on this universe. also raises questions about any other "multiverse" series that's mentioned Chinzilla, bc now there's 3 canon versions that they could be alluding to. OR I suppose Gun could still be bandleader but was for some reason absent from this particular performance but that seems less likely.) ANYWAY surprise Satang made my day hehe. We got Sound singing a tune he wasn't originally part of and excuse me this is also another au soundwin?????? PLS

MLMU(TH) Ep 9 Made My Cheeks Hurt **SPOILERS**

This was one of my favorite episodes so far! It was absolutely adorable!! KongAtom as casual boyfriends is everything I ever wanted! They are so, so sweet with one another and it's absolutely a joy to watch!

Half and Mudmee are also very cute and I am so proud of my girl Mudmee for getting her man! But honestly my favorite part of their story in this episode was Atom having Mudmee's back and playing a part in why Half finally got it together. Sorry, the chaotic Eraser Alliance besties have my heart!

I really like Atom and Mr. Sit's mentor-mentee relationship, too bc it's really sweet. Also seeing jealous/possessive Kongthap was really sweet. Basically this whole episode was sweetness on sweetness (with a little bit of frustration bc of Half) 😂.

Kongthap flirting with Atom in front of his friends, Atom being all blushy, Atom getting over his fears and getting an idea of what he wants to do in the future all because he didn't want to ruin Kong's birthday... I really enjoyed everything about this episode.

Just finished Vol 2 of "My Love Mix-Up" and oh god someone please help Aoki. He is just a baby disaster bisexual who needs an older and wiser bisexual to help him out. He thought he could sit on top of a climbing frame all day and reach zen clarity that he could simply choose to never fall in love again and then 1 hour later Ida said he was happy for him for doing well on the quiz and baby fell head first all over again.

He needs those Braincells. He can't keep falling like this! Aida you're meant to CATCH your friends when they escape the fire, not throw them into the frying pan!

At least Ida has finally realised he likes Aoki back but by god did he take his sweet time about it... and will probably take EVEN MORE TIME. Especially as he is all .exe stopped working around Aoki falling asleep on his shoulder.

MLMU(TH) Ep8 Was... Interesting... **SPOILERS**

Ya'll can probably tell by the tone of the title, but this episode kinda disappointed me. It was still cute, don't get me wrong. Just very, very frustrating to watch. Ya'll know I love Atom to death, but why was he so mad?! I guess kudos to the writing for realistic-ness(?) because it very much feels like a young, inexperienced couple, but come on!! I was so annoyed with Atom in this ep.

Also that kiss... again, cute af, but slightly disappointing. The lead in was promising but then they literally just showed their faces smushed together and that's it 😂. Again, I think it's pretty realistic cuz neither of them would know how to fr kiss (I mean... look at Gem in the behind the scenes of MSP ep12, he didn't even know the difference bt a kiss and a peck). I just think we as a fanbase may have gotten a little too hyped for it to just be that.

I had to watch the Mudmee scenes on x2 speed bc of the second hand embarrassment, but even so, Half and Mudmee are absolutely adorable. Half is such a sweetheart but he's so oblivious it's insane. Also someone needs to teach Mudmee's friends about stereotypes and how harmful they can be. Just saying.

Anyways, even though I didn't enjoy this episode as much, it was still enjoyable and cute (seriously G4 are such cuties, they may need to be studied). I just hope that these communication issues are done with (even tho I know they're not) cuz it's so extremely frustrating. Still, looking forward to next week's episode, I can't believe we're already 2/3rds of the way through the show 🥹

In Summary: this episode was ultimately cute but also kinda disappointing.

MLMU(TH) EP 11 Killed Me. FR This Time. **Spoilers**

They killed me. I'm dead.

I'm still sat here processing 5 mins after finishing the episode. That last kiss, in particular, was absolute perfection. So cute. Ugh.

I am not ready to say goodbye 😭 esp with that preview, I have a feeling I'm in for a rollercoaster of a finale! I'm gonna miss my babies KongAtom so much!! 😭 😭 😭

Let's Talk BL: My Love Mix Up Th

Ep. 2

Welcome back! (I'm the one from the long We Are posts hehe-)

A little spoiler warning for those who haven't watched the original Kieta Hatsukoi, will reference it a little, but it won't be any great big reveals, just small comparisons here and there. This is for the show only, since I haven't read the manga.

Firstly, I'd noticed this in the first ep itself, but forgot to mention, Atom and Kongthap use rao/nai. It's a little old fashioned and often used between lovers. So I'm yet to understand why it's replacing the usual guu/mueng among classmates and friends in thai BL. To make it more polite? To make more Japanese? Hmm...

That look (when they were practicing the show scene) really backfired on poor Atom 😭 Also, Kongthap's oblivious "How do you know? Have I ever smiled at you?" cracked me up right down the middle 😭😂

When he came down the stairs in the traditional scene, Atom was totally, definitely, 100% checking him out.

If it's one thing that Thai BL never fails at is making anything and everything a musical 😭 I mean, yeah, Cinderella is originally a musical, but three (3) whole songs in the span of 10 minutes is to much, even for GMMTV.

I did really love that dance scene though. I mean... the cinematography, the choreography, the chemistry, they all fit just right.

Now, a small little... it's not a critique exactly, just an observation and entirely a personal observation. Please feel free to ignore this.

In Kieta, it was decided at the rehearsal itself that Aoki would play Cinderella. In MLMU, they changed it, and Atom jumping in at the last moment was a little more impromptu and showed how far he'd go for his friend someone he likes. But, I didn't really like how everyone shot him down when he offered to take Mudmee's place.

And after the show was over, when those boys tried to tease Aoki, he got flustered and himself said "how can it be possible-" and went offensive in order to defend himself, even after Ida shot the idiots (derogatory) down. Here, Atom kept denying until Kongthap stepped in, and then reassured Thap that he wasn't uncomfortable, or angry at him. I liked this.

So... one for one, I guess. They changed a scene I already liked in Kieta to one that makes squint my eyes and something that bugged me a little into something I like now.

Okay, MLMU(TH) May Just Be the Cutest Thing Ever!!! [Ep5]

Guys ep5 is my new favorite!!!! It killed me with its cuteness!!!! 🫠 (Spoilers incoming btw)

My baby Atom is actually the cutest. I still have beef with Kong from ep1 saying that Atom isn't a tiny little cutie patootie bc literally every episode proves him wrong!

Kong and Half letting Atom sleep in between them was actually the cutest thing also. And then Half pretending to get a stomach ache so Kong and Atom wouldn't get in trouble. And then Kong holding Atom like that. Perfection, I love it!

I feel so bad for Mudmee and Atom btw 😭, poor babies were trying but just kept failing 😂. And when (Pahn) Mudmee accidentally hit (Fourth) Atom, I almost died laughing. And I also replayed it like a million times. Judge all you want, it was just so cute!

Our four mains trying to be scary monsters was so funny! Atom looked so so handsome, not scary. Half was just shirtless and Mudmee looked insane 😂. Kong was a panda! If any of them tried to scare me, esp Atom, I'd just take my chances 😏. (What is my acearo ass talking about? lol)

I was so proud of my baby Atom when he did the zipline (and so was Kong 🥹)! Like look at my baby overcoming his fears for his man!

The confession scene was just everything and Kongthap officially asking Atom to go out 🥰. I died fr. But I will say I hated when the fireflies came in bc they were just so fake. But oh well Kong and Atom's cuteness made up for it all the way!

I'm honestly scared after next week's preview, but still I can't wait!

I CAN'T BELIEVE MLMU(TH) IS OVER!!! 😭😭😭 **SPOILERS**

Guys, this finale was everything.

Seriously, there was not one thing I disliked about the whole episode other than the fact that it's the last one. It didn't feel too rushed and was a perfect ending, imo.

Fourth's acting though... literally unreal. He's so amazing istg. Fourth is my top GMM actor atm, I feel like he embodies characters and expresses their emotions so well. The coming out scenes were just suburb in every way, shape, and form.

Half and Mudmee are ofc adorable as always. I don't really have much to say about them, though. I enjoyed them and their story was a nice parter to KongAtom's. I was a tiny bit more impressed with Pahn's performance but Chokun did awesome as well. I'm looking forward to seeing them in future projects.

KongAtom are everything to me. They are so adorable and sweet and they complement one another so well! They also just love each other so much and are so endeared by one another that it was just such a joy to watch their story!

Gemini and Fourth have done it again! I'm always so, so impressed with their acting and the way they portray their characters and what they're going through so perfectly. They work so well together and have such great, natural chemistry and I really, really hope that they continue to pair together for a long time (as long as they want to ofc)! I'm still hoping for a more serious plot with them as the main couple, so let's manifest for 2025!!!

Anyways, I can't believe this show is over! It's the first one I've watched all the way through while it was airing since Bad Buddy, and I loved it so much!! My Fridays were always so brightened by MLMU and now idk what I'm gonna do in the mornings! 😂

Thanks to the cast and crew for such an amazing, beautiful, sweet, pure show!!! I can tell everyone had so much fun filming and I hope they were all pleased by the results cuz I know I was!!!

If I End Up With Heart Issues, I'm Blaming It On MLMU(TH) Ep7!!! **SPOILERS**

Guys I died and came back to life so many times this episode it's not even a joke anymore. Kongthap and Atom... are perfection.

No but frfr I loved this episode so much! It might be my favorite so far! I hated seeing my babies so sad tho so I don't think I can bring myself to give it that title 😂 (Kindof a sidenote but Fourth's acting is the top of topteir for me, his sad face made me want to throw my laptop across the room.)

This episode is the perfect depiction of teenagers in their first real relationship though! Like they both just want the best for each other but their not communicating the ways they want to go about it. They're both such green flags and I love them sm! ❤️

Shoutout to my girl Mudmee, she's getting her man! They're so cute and the perfect side couple! ALSO speaking of Mudmee, I loved all the Mudmee and Atom scenes in this episode but esp when she comforted Atom without even asking what was wrong 🥹 my favorite besties!

I was very pleasantly surprised by Mr Annop (though I did have a feeling where it was going, ppl who had seen KH or read the novel made me so nervous 😅), and I'm so glad that him and his partner could help out Atom. He needed that so bad!

GUYS THEY'RE OFFICIALLY BOYFRIENDS, I AM SO HAPPY!!! Kongthap asked Atom to be his bf in the most beautiful way, I cannot handle it!

Okay, I'm gonna stop here because I feel like I could write a whole essay on this episode. Just know I'm totally in love with the show and KongAtom and I believe GeminiFourth are playing these roles so unbelievably well!!!
