I cannot be the only one who thought they would make a sickass band while watching MK Legends: Cage Match!

I hate that they are just jobbers there, but I LOVE their rockstar desings!

🎹 Sareena definitely has my favourite design! Her outfit is so pretty and messy curls fit her so well and they were so much fun to make!

🎸 And y'all know I'm a curly Jataaka believer so I brought the queen's crown back! Her outfit fits the vibes I usually give her so I dig it!

🥁 Kia's hair was pretty fun so I kept it, and her outfit though simple was so stylish, I really like it!

And I know Cage Match set up Sareena to be the the main lead, and that's cool and she was pretty badass, buuuuuuut, I think even Sareena herself will agree Jataaka is the true main lead of this band! 👑

I wanted to try a different style, I hope y'all like it!

I feel like Quan Chi should be more powerful than he already is in canon. Not so much as I think he has potential (though I'm sure many others will disagree) but more on so I want it to be so that it would take a bunch of fighters to take him down. Don't get me wrong me wrong I love Scorpion and Hanzo definitely deserved to put that bastard down after everything he put him though but I also think there are a bunch of other characters who deserve to get a punch in. Like Kuai Liang since Quan Chi is not only repsonsible for getting his brother killed but also put a hit on his own head and turned his brother into a violent slave. Or Sareena since she was force to do his bidding for years and turned the only person who ever showed him kindness into another servant sort of as a slap to the face for her. Heck depending on the continuity or any possible au ideas, a bunch of people should be allowed to tag team on him for what he done. MK1 Ashrah was a slave to Quan Chi for years and was forced to see her sisters be the same. Bi Han was , just like Hanzo, stripped of his humanity and made into a monster for his doing and depending how you look at it Kia and Jataaka all deserve freedom from him. I don't know, personally I just want Hanzo, Kuai, Sareena, Bi Han, Kia, Jataaka, and Ashrah all team up to form an alliance and proceed to jump Quan Chi and make him pay for what he did to them and the only reason I could see them forcing an alliance besides mutual hatred and close relation with each other is if Quan Chi was incredible powerful and need a bunch of fighters to take it down. Who knows maybe NRS will see this post and use the ideas as some sort of else world story. Or maybe somebody will make a au out of this. ( Heck maybe I'll put this in my own au(once I'm done actually fleshing it out and actually started writing stories in it( seriously somebody help me I'm so fucking lost and clueless)))

Sareena convinces Jatakka and Kia to join her rock band and they have a happy life in Earthrealm. They form a band named: Sisters of Light

Johnny hooks them up with a record label and they become wildly famous.

Jatakka is on the drums and Kia plays Bass.

Ashrah wasn’t a fan of it at first but she is happy for her little sisters.

imagine Kia, not understanding Sareena and Bi-Han being besties, but once she meets Kuai Liang and gets unconsciously impressed by his cutie vibes and wants to become his bestie, but Bi and Sareena, noticing that, turn on their black cat energy and are like, “don’t ever touch this cinnamon roll.”

(I actually love Kia, so that’s why random thoughts take over my mind lmao)

Mirror Kia and Mirror Jataaka Bio

Two demons who were born in the first plane. Their communities were among the first which Shinnok was able to reason with to bring chance to the Netherrealm, which led to them living a life different to that of most in the Netherrealm from a very young age. Having grown up inspired by the Brotherhood’s ideals, they eventually decided to join their ranks as warriors, to protect their lifestyle from those who wanted to threaten it and bring change to their realm.

During their training they got to know each other, as well as some of their best friends, like Sareena and Ashrah. The bond they formed during those years led to both of them falling in love and eventually marrying, to their joy and that of all their loved ones.

As time passed, Kia and Jataaka remained dedicated to their cause, fighting against menaces such as the Followers of Lucifer with the help of their Brotherhood friends. They also tried to comfort Sareena and Ashrah with their worries all they could, but, unlike their friends, they just didn’t know what was growing up having to deal with the harsh conditions of their realm. They couldn’t understand their wish for their whole realm to change its ways, how Sareena especially was impatient for it to happen. They could never have guessed those feelings would have led to their friends changing their ways.

When they were offered to join Cetrion’s side alongside Ashrah and Sareena, they didn’t think twice before rejecting, and begged for their comrades to reconsider. What they aimed to do, forcing others to follow their ways, was against the Brotherhood's ideals, and wasn’t even going to bring real change from their point of view. Unfortunately, they didn’t succeed.

Kia and Jataaka now are forced to fight their friends and the rest of Cetrion’s followers, desperately hoping they will manage to make them reconsider their path and stop what they are doing before it’s too late.

The dynamics between the members of the Brotherhood of Shadow will be different from canon. For example: Shinnok and Quan Chi are besties :3 Sareena, Kia and Jataaka are besties too (slowburn friendship) and the three of them are frenemies with Quan Chi.

Quan Chi paced throughout the massive library, thinking to himself. How could he have lost Ashrah, Sareena, and Ermac? He turned to his remaining bodyguards Kia and Jataaka.

"I have a rather important task for the two of you," Quan Chi stated. "It concerns your traitorous sisters Ashrah and Sareena."

One night, I had this idea for Ashrah's (and Kia's, Jataka's and Sareena's) mother. I just wanted to sketch her out to the best of my ability. The 2nd picture is... I dunno. I was just imagining Liu Kang talking to her somehow... (idk if he has the power to enter that level of the Netherrealm, though I imagine him doing it via astral projection or something like that.)
