Miura Debuts Two New Players' Irons Miura Golf has introduced two new irons to their MG Collection-- the CB-1008 cavityback and the MB-5005 muscleback -- for better players.

CB-1008

The CB-1008 player's cavityback is forged from a billet of soft carbon steel. It features a

CB-1008 wider sole (19mm on the 7-iron) that significantly contributes to the iron's playability and forgiveness. That weight distribution in the sole, combined with a lower center of gravity, delivers forgiveness and increased launch angles -- especially in the mid- and long irons.  "Being able to deliver the feel and performance generally only associated with a Blade iron makes the CB-1008 a naturally choice in the players' iron category," says Bill Holowaty, COO of Miura Golf.  "A wider sole and a precise distribution of weight are design characteristics which enhance the playability of this iron."  Each CB-1008 iron has a $279 MAP price.

MB-5005

By redistributing approximately 15 grams of weight from the muscleback part of the iron,

MB-5005 we modified the design of a typical blade iron -- resulting in the MB-5005. Thus, this iron looks like a blade but plays like a cavityback. It incorporates one of Miura's key design principles, "There exist subtleties with the design of the MB-5005 which have enabled the Miura family to deliver a Blade iron that plays like a Cavity Back," said Holowaty. "The redistribution of weight in the head allows for an expanded sweet spot and lower center of gravity.  The MB-5005 is also slightly longer from heel to toe, delivering a feeling of confidence to the golfer at address."

The MB-5005 is a limited edition product line in North America. Each MB-5005 iron has a $329 MAP price.

Beware of Fake Miura Heads if they are not authorized Miura dealers and not authorized to sell them they may be fake buyer beware

Recently we have had multiple inquiries from customers interested in the new Miura Genesis head PP9005, and much to our surprise they keep telling us they can buy these heads from an online distributor and get a set 5-9 & PW for just over $1200. This company is not an authorized Miura retailer, we have had problems in the Golf industry in the past with Fake heads from many of the top OEM’s. There have been ongoing problems in the OEM marketplace with fake heads that look correct but arent, they are great reproductions, that are not real. When you have a problem with these heads you wont be able to contact Miura for warranty service.

Its sad that dealers buy cheap knock offs and claim to be authorized dealers and are not. If you think you have been taken advantage of or are looking to buy a set of Miura clubs verify your dealer, its simple, Go to the Miura website and see if that dealer is on the list. If they arent on the list they cant sell Miura heads or if you have a set and are concerned because you bought them off the internet and unsure if they are real, call Miura direct give them the serial number off the 7 iron and if that head was not sold to the dealer you are purchasing them from, they may be fake.

Every season it costs legitimate dealers a lot of money to stay with a company to get updated heads and new demo heads and it is a shame that scam artist golf companies put ads up on Google to make sure they look legitimate but in all reality they are not. 

Looking to buy a set of Miura clubs, call Miura or go to there website and verify the company you are about to do business with is in fact a Miura Golf inc. distributor, dont be fooled by fly by night scam artists promising a great deal and remember “ The sweetness of a great deal never lasts as long as the bitterness of poor quality or fakes”
