Headcanon about Mitsunari

I know most people knows him with his venomous tongue and not-so-friendly attitude, to the point that he would still call MC with some insult. But, reading his noble end and birthday event made me realize something. Once he acknowledge his feeling, he would do his best to make you happy.

He would study many books about “how to make your lover happy” and still doesn’t understand how to act when you’re being happy bubbly because he gives you special attention. From time to time, he would apologize and trying to tone down his ego, and sometimes it even impress Hideyoshi to see his retainer like that.

Most important of all, he wouldn’t call you with insult. Well, maybe he would still when he is being too embarassed and can’t take that feeling well. But it’s happen in rare occassion, less often than you used to hear before you get together. After that, he would hold your hand and squeeze it tightly, making sure you know what he means through his gesture.

He would enjoy his time with MC, wondering if this is how it feels to be in love with someone, how he would sometimes act out of character, saying things without thinking just to be with her more, to see there’s a side of him he never knows before. Despite all the good and bad times, he will cherish everything
