Look like big goat-men. They know I’m inside, and they want to finish me off.” “Why?” Kabru asked, his forehead creasing in confusion. “I told you, I’m a level 5--” Mithrun started to say, but apparently he realized repeating himself wasn’t going to help, and he heaved a huge frustrated sigh. “I work for Santa Claus. They want to stop us from bringing joy to the world.” “Santa’s not real,” Kabru said, feeling a little bit hysterical. “You’re applying pressure to a stab wound on an elf,” Mithrun replied. “Santa’s real. He writes my paychecks.”

plain sailing weather - personally my Absolute favorite. it's rather short and yet somehow way too many passages in this fic drove me insane

running in circles - multi-chapter slow burn where they're stuck in a time loop magic❤️ still ongoing⛷️ i like how the author made sense of the time loop mechanics, and how mithrun rationalized his feelings here

good and perilous - wakamisu is IN so it's an instant romcom for me. this has been a fun read!! ⚠️ misukabu dynamics inside

in another life, - another wakamisu mishaps. still ongoing

defined by the absence - almost a dialogue-less character study, i like the writing style here

and then i go and spoil it - probably a more accurate portrayal but i can't bear mithrun to have said what he said💔

Kabru gets an elf for Christmas, and the foreseeable future as well.

"I don't dilly-dally when I know what I want," Mithrun said. "Dilly-dally," Kabru echoed the words with a helpless, fond grin. The way Mithrun spoke was quickly becoming deeply endearing to him. It reminded him of how people talked in movies that took place in the past where everyone was called "my lord." "Pussy-foot?" Mithrun offered in replacement, arching a brow at Kabru quizzically, and Kabru giggled, quickly covering his mouth with one hand at the not-very-macho sound that had just escaped him. "…I don't like to waste time," Mithrun said with a huff, rolling his eyes as he unbuttoned his cloak, and dramatically shrugged it off, letting it flutter away to the floor. His hat was already gone, but Kabru wasn't sure when and where it had come off the elf's head. "No, no, I like the way you talk. I liked dilly-dally," Kabru insisted from between his fingers, his face hurting from how hard he was smiling. "Pussy-foot is good too. It's… old-fashioned. Cute."
