The smell of summer, the music of the time, the taste of cooking

Control

There is always imprecision in life

Moving too fast and missing some of the finer points

It usually doesn't matter

But somehow there are those moments when there is complete control

In thought, in execution, in feeling

And it is so gratifying

Because everything else is so unpredictable

Why is it so difficult to find that "spark"?

That passions that's supposedly leads me to a happy career?

The infinite opportunity out there makes it feel impossible

Finding that one thing that fixates my mind and can be considered "work"

Treat your peers as peers not superiors

They're people just like you

They make mistakes, they have their ups, they have their downs

Do not treat them as authority!

You have as much power as they do

You have the same ability to make a change

You can take responsibility.

You just need to stand up and stop being afraid.

All that's really needed to stop pushing it away Is to take it step by step No need to try and take it all at once Focus on a single task And maybe you'll move forward.

The joys of theatre!  There was a torrent of emotions Laughter, despair, joy Each a new world to fall into A new story to live And in a way there was a feeling of regret The richness lost from opportunities past Those times I could have forgot my troubles

Looming Closer

I see you looming in the distance Lack of sleep, terrible performance, lost time but that's okay because I don't have to mind you I can dawdle my thumbs and stare at a light The same light that is supposed to keep you at bay The tool that fends you off also blinds me Please stop coming closer, it makes me nervous Because then you force me to stare at the light even more
