     The thieves knew what jobs he pulled for the most part. They knew he either did big heists or he turned tricks. Easy way to get cash between bigger jobs, he thought. It wasn’t going as well as he thought it would, so he got a ‘manager’ for a while. Friend of a friend of the thieves guild. 

     This ‘manager’ was an ass. Pretty notorious for it in the business too. Figured because Remy asked for a little help it meant he owned him. Meant that the kid owed him a debt, and that debt would be his already somewhat shaken mental state. Plus 60% of the cut. After about a year of sticking with it, Remy’s had quite enough thank you very fucking much. He quit. Easily intimidating with his abilities, despite being called a freak. He didn’t care. Better than continuing with that.

     It’s been about a month since then, and he’s got it all planned out. The guy owns this condo uptown, and has really terrible security. Gotta watch out in New Orleans. Never know what kind of people you can find in the alleyways. 

     Remy stalks through the place, easily concealed in shadow and easily bypassing lock after lock. A pack on his back full of files, just enough to put the guy away once the cops show up. Though he has to wait for the guy to get home first before calling the fuzz. Gives him time to grab any extra cash or valuables he finds around.

     Should be a nice, easy, satisfying job.

In the safety of an alley, Hira faded back into sight as she let herself slide down the wall. The job had gone smoothly enough, all things considered - save the chunk of metal currently lodged in her shoulder. It’d be simple if it had gone through cleanly, but she could feel it there past the throbbing pain. 

From her jacket she pulled out a first aid kit. Practically useless in this situation, but the gauze would stop the bleeding at least. She bit back a pained hiss as she reached back to wedge the fabric between the wall and her injury. 

That done, she tucked the kit away and took out her cellphone; a cheap disposable bit of plastic with no apps or data, but harder to track. Punching in the number, she settled in to wait.
