Update:

It’s 4:00 am and I’m on my way to the next airport, my last week of being in the states after being here for 4 months is hitting me pretty hard, I’m sad. I’m sad because my ‘adventure of a lifetime’ has come to an end. In sad because I have made some incredible friends and have reconfirmed some older ones. I’m scared because this kind of opertunity will probably never happen again if I don’t take this job offer I was given. I’m scared because I have actually made a connection out here that’s going to end up with me being hurt. I’m scared because I have no plan for the rest of my life. Im scared but I’m happy. Im happy because I get to see the smile on my mums face when she sees me for the first time in months. I’m happy because I get to cuddle with my cats. I’m happy because I get to reconnect properly with my best friend, the only one from my past I need back. I’m happy because I get to sleep in my own fucking bed finally. I’m happy because I want to go home I’m excited. I’m excited to finally be able to drive soon. I’m excited to actually think about my future, in a real way and not a ‘let’s make a 5 year plan kids’ way like back in school. I’m excited to be able to watch the people around me grow and develop into actual adults. I’m excited to go on a full night out with the lads. I’m excited to actually start my life.

The house feels so lonely and empty without you greeting me at the door, or snuggling on the couch. Mr. Zoe was one in a million who survived an F5 tornado when first found at 5 weeks old. He went missing once for 6 weeks one winter in Alabama and was found. He survived 2 months of tube feeding to make a full recovery. He has moved with us 6 times, including a move across the country. He also made it through his first wild fire evacuation last year while living in Cali. He didn’t care where he was as long as he was with his people.
