Day 11 - what makes you truly happy? Well, I don't think there's any certain one thing that sticks out among the rest, but here are a few things that put a smile on my face..... Sunshine and Summer, my right to bare arms (welcome to the gun show 😉), spending time with family, girls night with my friends, Netflix night with my boyfriend, laughing with my best friends, shiny things (like this crown), and Naps. Day 7: What are you doing to Prepare and favorite phase of competition. (Better late than never!!) In preparation, your #missglasscity has been drinking water with my itworks Greens (ask me about to get your hands on some, you'll love them), and fitting in workouts when possible....And well, as I said before, these roots ain't loyal!! So today, I made a trip to my favorite salon, Shamas Perrysburg, and had my girls Shana and Katie Rae fix me up!!! My favorite part of the competition would be the fun fashion wear, because it gives you the opportunity to show your personality and work a little extra sass on the stage!!! Day 5: A picture with your platform and community service. A platform that has always been near and dear to my heart is my platform "BeYOUtiful". It's striving to have confidence in yourself and who you are. It's not being afraid to be loud, quiet, crazy, curvy, skinny, show your freckles, admitting to liking Nickelback, etc. It's about being empowered to shine through, just the way you are. Day 3: Favorite Place of Your Home Area Although there are lots of great things to offer up here in the TOL, one of my absolute favorite places is.... The Glass Bowl!! Home to our Toledo Rocket Football Team. I've spent many hours of practice and performance in there with the RMB, and many nights cheering on our boys. Day 2: Family photo with someone else wearing your crown/sash as support! Alright. Is everyone ready for the mush? I'm a lucky girl to have support from many different places.... When people think family, of course you're first thought is the typical mom, dad, brothers, sisters, grandparents, etc. And while all those are true, my family extends out on many ends. Of course there's those blood relatives whom have been there since day 1, who have molded me and prepared me for the future, and loved me unconditionally. They give me endless support, even from afar (my closest parents are still 2 hours away) But there's a whole other category of people who don't really HAVE to put up with you but do anyway. My Bare Minerals ladies, for starters, and the Home Depot crew... AND this woman right here @rshields14 (Who also happens to work with me at Bare too!) This is one of those cases where the saying "God made us Best Friends, because our moms couldn't handle us as sisters", comes into play. No matter what curveballs life has thrown at us, we've came out stronger. We've been friends for almost a decade, and I can't even remember life without her. And they couldn't be here to put on my my royal gear, but @nickname105 and @mariah_nicholee were added to our two woman Wolfpack when we met in college and have been inseparable since. I could write a novel, but I'm pretty sure this is already falling under the tl;dr category, so.... Had a great time with these adorable little ladies and the rest of the Toledo Kindercare crew when they came and visited us at Home Depot today!! We built little pallet coasters, and it was super exciting!! And loud!! Favorite quote of the day, from sassy little Malyia, "Umm, you put MY crown on crooked." She's already ready for her crown.
