Song: For Life by EXO | @taeofspades
in the cold winter morning
and a bit lonely in the night
we’re here together
Katie’s eyes fluttered open, awakened by the distant sound of snoring coming from the living room. “Did Yoongi come home early? I thought he was spending the night at Raven’s again…” she muttered, her mind heavy with sleep as she rubbed her bleary blue-green eyes with the sleeves of her oversized hoodie.
She shook her head slightly, throwing her legs over the side of her bed as she got up to go inspect the noise. Katie began making her way slowly down the hall towards the living room, her mind still sleepily searching for answers as she approached the destination. Taehyung went home, right? she wondered, blurry images of a late-night movie marathon flashing in her mind. He must have…
The brunette girl continued shuffling towards the couch, her eyes widening in surprise as she was met with the familiar lavender highlights of a sleeping Taehyung, his right arm draped over the edge of the beige sofa. She shook her head at the sight, a look of half-confusion and half-endearment crossing her tired features.
Did we get snowed in last night? Katie thought, reaching for the remote that laid on the cushion to his left. She began flipping through the television channels, searching frantically for the weather station as the tall boy continued snoring loudly in front of her. Sure enough, her guess was correct. A red warning bar flashed across the bottom of the screen, listing off the areas of Seoul that had been hit hardest by the storm.
- Warning area 3: Gwangjin-gu. Residents are advised to be careful along busy highways and roads, due to heavy snowfall and black ice. -
Katie sighed as the automated voice read off the warning, glancing back down at Taehyung’s sleeping figure. You can’t exactly motorcycle home in a blizzard… she thought, smiling at her exhausted guest. She walked around to the other side of the couch, taking a seat next to him on the smidgen of empty space where his body didn’t cover. She pressed a warm hand to the side of his face, grinning shyly as she spoke. “Good morning, sleepy-head.” she blushed, giggling lightly.
“Do you want something to drink?”
