Sorting out shenanigans part.2 ! Finding some South Park fanarts in my binders made me really nostalgic so I went back on the SP French Amino where I used to post random shit XD like fanfics (Either ship related or my OCs inserted in the SP universe), fanarts (Mainly ships and inserting my OCs again XD) All that with a terrible English- (because yes the platform was French but I clearly prefer English in my drawings XD) and, surprisingly : Translations ! Back then I started translating "In a Mirror, Festively" by Synapticfirefly in French (never finished tho T🔻T) and "Mirroverse" related comics by @sleepyeule ! You were a great inspiration for me at the time and my love for Kyman... Cartman in general- was greatly influenced by you XD so yeah, thank you so much for your art ! Since the very first time I drew the Mirroverse and now I have improved so much in my art and I guess I couldn't have done it without your indirect help- anyway that's getting way too emotional, have these desastrous teens as a bonus and- byyyyye stay kind and creative everyone!

4. Is kyle a hypocrite? 

YES wtf this shouldn’t be a question this is fact. Like this ain’t up to opinion, this is baked into the show. (s6) He lectures to open air about the immorality of sensationalizing conditions and deformities yet within 5 minutes does not hesitate to guilt Butters into faking a condition worth sensationalizing just so he Stan and Cartman can golf. (s16) Butters’ breakdown abt Kyle “ You just think you know everything, don't you Kyle?! Every little thing you gotta shoot your mouth off like you're the frickin' expert!” that’s so raw dude. It’s so real. These are the only two moments that pop off the top of my head but I’m certain there are more examples of Kyle bein a hypocrite. Not only is he a hypocrite, he can be a self righteous asshole.

Nooo nuh uh nope I can’t answer that in confidence. The careers I’d tailor to these lil dudes are based on where their characters are at the moment and within a season’s notice Mattrey’ll be out here taking these characters into different directions and evolving them and it’d wipe my hard work off the table 😭

Ceo vs Repairman Cartman was Cartman’s definitive future 10+ years ago. Rabbi vs Homeless are the more likely futures Cartman faces now. Absolutely no one saw Kenny becoming a nobel prize winning scientist and philanthropist yet here we are.

As much as I love speculating based on what canon gives us, I gotta give this to Trey and wipe my hands clean.

It could be wrong, could be wrong (But it should've been right) by grossalien - this follows tweek and craig’s povs but it is a kyman fic. basically tweek and craig accidentally become the last straw that ruined kyle and cartman’s first date and cartman haruhi suzumiya’s himself and everyone around him into a time loop until the date goes well. only tweek and craig are aware of the loop and are forced to make the date go well if they want to leave the time loop. it’s rlly good and rlly funny. // 19,843, 6/6 chapters

in a mirror, festively by synapticfirefly- this is a basic rec in the fandom but it rlly is just too good. it’s the perfect mix of funny and smut and genuinely heartfelt with a surprising emphasis on facebook relationship status(?) 😭 it’s a mirrorverse au where cartman is a little bitch who just wants to do his holiday charities and everyone around him is absolutely batshit evil, esp kyle who just wants him to come to his hanukkah party. // 36,337, 10/10 chapters

put out the fire on us by i_already_forgot - i don’t like to recommend unfinished fics bc i don’t wanna get someone disappointed but this fic is genuinely too good to not be recommended. kyle and cartman get pranked by clyde and they accidentally get handcuffed, fall down a waterfall and get stranded in the woods 🤷‍♀️ it’s funnier if i don’t elaborate. they gotta survive and make it out and their friendship develops and it’s so cute and i love it. if op ever posts another chapter i will be jumping up and down. // 139,167, 11/? chapters

if i were honest with you by creamdream98 - imma be fr, this is my fave kyman fic ever. probbo one of my fave fics of all time. i starting reading it from the first chapter and i was SEATEDD for every update. it’s a regular high school au but sum abt it is just so endearing and sweet and makes you root for eric and kyle. like the kiss scene made me audibly cheer out loud. basically cartman is a freak and bc he’s in love with kyle draws weird drawings of him in his notebook AT SCHOOL (i would NEVERRR). stan catches him one day and makes a deal with him that if cartman helps him get wendy, he’ll help cartman get kyle. it’s adorable i’ve reread it like 10 times. highly recommend if you’re into that sorta thing. // 150,655, 19/19 chapters

accidentally deleted this one bc i'm silly n goofy, but honestly, anon, i'm just not that intimately familiar with kyman on the whole. i have done a creek recs list and feel i could do a fairly comprehensive sampling of "alltweek" fics. i also still have a good grasp on style and k2 from having shipped them back in the late 00s and reading a decent amount this time around as well. for kyman, however, i lack the level of engagement and sense of the tropes and trends that make me confident in making recs lists, if that makes sense

i've encountered a few works i found compelling and would recommend to those interested in kyman (and I believe most of these lean more towards top kyle just fyi—not sure which dynamics you prefer), but you'd definitely do better to ask a kyman instead of a creek blog 💖

so my first time reading kyman (aside from the hollycomb kyman fics, and the side kyman in this applecrumbledore endgame style fic) was while beta'ing for my friend pregnantzombie, and i recommend all of her writing. her characterizations are always on point and she's so funny and talented. this SFW oneshot for the kyman zine drew me in in particular. she has tons of excellent creek as well

i got a wonderful kyman fill on the dreamwidth south park kink meme from @rainbowconvection, then checked out their other works and found the characterization and humor consistently superb (good, thoughtful characterization is the main thing that pulls me in). kyle convincing himself he's saving the world by being with cartman in I'm a Good Person was so funny and real to me

i really like @basu-shokikita's dynamics, and dug this pre-relationship kyman timeloop fic with established creek, and especially loved Two is company, three is a crowd which is established kyman with deranged butters and cuck kyle (my beloveds 🥺). her stenny is also very cute and i'm excited to read more

really enjoyed this anon sadomaso discovery fic that i found through a fanart @drabesacraben made for it. the good doctor has also rec'd the mirror verse series which i haven't gotten to yet (honestly been struggling to read longfic these days in general) but i trust the doctor

Hi 💜 weird question, but have you ever received hate messages for watching south park? like oh my god, this show promotes fascism, blah blah blah. Or because you ship kyman? i mean, it's no secret that people often think that if you like something problematic you automatically are horrible person.

actually anon, I got my first “kys” comment in my recent married kyman ask this morning and I did a double take bc like, I’ve had this blog for nearly a year and i’ve been so passionately vocal about kyman that I’m surprised i’m barely getting hate for it now. I have lost a chunk of followers on my main blogs for liking kyman, and I had a whole Internal Thing about that, but my mutuals/connections to my industry never unfollowed me?? They either like my stuff and geek w/ me, or don’t care. So i learned the ppl’s who’s opinions I truly value agree w/ me or have simply agreed to disagree, and we stay vibing.

I can’t control how strangers perceive me for liking Kyman. If it means I get called untrue things, well, I know who I am and I’ll just let my content/reblogs/ takes speak for themselves. If they want to waste their energy getting upset over it, that’s their choice. A poor one, frankly. That time could be better spent on more productive things. Why come after me? I’ve already lost by default— I’m a south park shipper. Can’t make a comeback for that, man.

I talked about the dangerous black/white nature of the internet especially in regards to south park/cartman, but I’ll elaborate on one thing: South Park isn’t for everyone. It’s not for anyone at all. It’s the brain child of Matt and Trey, and the crew who’ve been there since day one and know these raunchy kids in and out. Some can handle Sp’s darker humor, toilet humor, approach in storytelling, political stance, and some can’t. Just, use discretion y’all.

~*~*~*~*~*~ Windshield wipers quickly attempted to remove any of the heavy, puffy snow that was currently obscuring Kyle’s vision of the road. Or at least, what the redhead could make out of the road that was being swallowed by the winter’s darkness and unforgiving snowfall. The high beams of his sedan would only display more white, white snow. Whatever was playing through the speakers was barely audible as Kyle turned down the radio to see better. 

Kyle thanked God that he was almost at his destination: his parents’ house. 

Well, in all honesty, the redhead was far more excited to be off the roads during this atrocious weather than to actually be staying at his childhood house for two weeks. Chanukah would begin tomorrow evening, and like every year since Kyle moved out his parents’ to Denver for his job, the redhead found himself making the two hour drive to reunite with his family. 

He didn’t have any other reason to return to South Park other than for the holidays. Once high school ended, all of the kids Kyle spent the last twelve years with began new journeys away from the little town of South Park–whether it was Wendy Testaburger leaving to attend Harvard; Jimmy Valmer hosting his own comedy show in California and so on. Kyle was pretty sure one of the only kids he grew up with that ended up staying in South Park was Butters Stotch. Which wasn’t too shocking. Kyle himself landed a job right after he finished college as an editor to a newspaper in Denver, allowing him to settle in the city as a young adult.

Kyle barely manages to spot the familiar wooden sign that reads “SOUTH PARK” in boring, bold black letters through the flurry of snow. His pale finger swipes up his phone screen as he closes out of the now useless GPS that was navigating him for the last two hours. He knows exactly which roads to take from here, yet again thanking God that South Park was dead at this hour as the redhead rolled through stop signs to reach his parents’ house as fast as he could. 

Just two more streets, Kyle thought to himself, eager to get out this damn weather. He approached the final stop sign that turned on to his parents’ street and stopped just enough to–

Kyle’s thin body flings slightly forward as his seat belt catches him, “Oh, fuck me.” His eyes look to the rearview mirror to see the accident he had just caused: the front right side of an SUV was smashed into the ass of his little sedan. The driver’s side door of the SUV flung open as he saw a heavier man step out with his hands on his head, inspecting the damage. 

Kyle quickly undid his seatbelt and got out of the car as he heard the other man furiously cried out, “What the fuck!? You didn’t even stop at the stop sign, shit for brains!”

“I know, I’m sorry this is totally–” the red head stopped mid sentence as his eyes focused on the irritable man in front of him. There was no mistaking it: the voice, the stature of the man, and that goddamn light blue hat.

“Wait, Cartman?” Kyle asked. The figure across from him ceased his look-over of his damaged vehicle and swiftly turned to face the taller man.

“Kyle?” the brunet pronounced the redhead’s name the same way he’s always said Kyle; the last syllable sounding like ‘al’ instead of ‘le.’ “Of course, only someone as stupid as you would fucking roll a stop sign like that! How in the fuck have you made it this far in life? Does your stupid ass even have insurance?” 

“Oh, please, shut up, I’m fucking sorry,” Kyle spat back. Despite the many years Kyle and Eric had not seen each other, they fell back easily into their usual dynamic. “If anything, I should be the one asking if you have insurance. You’re the type to think it’s a waste of money.”

Eric threw his thick arms in the air and then directed them towards the scene of the accident, “You’re here to ruin Christmas aren’t you? First you fuck up my car, next you’re going to break into someone’s house and steal their Christmas decorations–”

“Shut up!” Kyle interrupted the heavier boy’s tangent. “First of all, I’m here for Chanukah, not Christmas. Second of all, we’ll get your stupid fat-mobile fixed before Christmas,” Eric shot the redhead a nasty look when he heard ‘fat-mobile’ but let the taller man continue on. “Listen, it’s super late and I’m sure you just want to get home too. Is your car drivable?”

The pudgy brunet wordlessly turned on his heel and stepped back into his vehicle, situating himself before slowly reversing his car from the back end of the schmushed sedan. To Kyle’s relief, the SUV was still drivable, but had a destroyed right headlight and the front bumper was holding on for dear life. 

“Fuck you, Kyle,” Eric called out from the window. 

“Yes, yes, fuck me,” Kyle sighed and approached the driver’s side. “Listen, let’s go home for the night and we can call our insurance companies tomorrow and see where we can get our cars fixed up. I might as well treat you to some breakfast since this is my fault.”

A small smile formed on the brunet’s face, “Well, you know I’d never turn down free food. Meet me at Tweek Bros. at nine tomorrow morning,” his chubby hand shifted the gears from park to drive, “and try not to cause any accidents on the way there, shit for brains.”

And with that, the brunet stepped on the gas and left a frustrated Kyle by himself again. He stomped towards his smashed sedan, sliding into the driver’s seat and slamming the door behind him. 

“Out of all the people in this forsaken town, I just had to get into an accident with Eric fucking Cartman!”

Hi hello yes it's me, speaking directly to you all from the afterlife ooooo

Just kidding, I'm not a ghost BUT I am putting this up because uh... I wanna start group roleplaying South Park again. Explanation time. Long story short I went on a group rp break about a month ago due to my mental health because I was stressed with a lot going on in my personal life. Then during that break I lost a few group rp buds and now I want to get back into it and... Can't. Because I lost everyone.

Sooooo if you'd be interested in group rping South Park with others from here, shoot down a comment or send me a DM and I can hand out my discord user (or you type yours whichever works best for you) and we can go from there.

I'm only really decent at playing Kyle and Clyde so I've taken them. Eric, Kenny, Jimmy, Tweek and Tolkien have also been taken but everyone else would basically be up for grabs in it unless stated otherwise. And before shipping wars end up starting I will say this. I am a multishipper. I ship a lot of the ships. So yes I am fine with a lot of ships. I am a Kyman shipper first and foremost and have been for years now, but that doesn't mean I hate any others. So respect my ship opinions and yours will be too. If you wanna ship my muses with anyone I'll most likely agree to it unless it makes me uncomfortable (which is honestly really rare)

I am mainly semi-lit but I try mirroring as best as I possibly can so no need to worry there either.

omg i 100% agree, kyle absolutely embodies the "i can fix them" mentality, esp with ALL of his crushes so far (except nichole) which is def an interesting pattern.

the kyle-cartman dynamic is my absolute favourite in the show simply because they both unstoppable forces trying to embody everything the other isnt, to the point where they actually start mirroring the behaviours they hate the most (kyle becoming more of an asshole and cartman becoming a jew). they absolutely bring out the worst in each other (e.g covid special) but they're both so attached to each other, whether it's cartman's need for attention and entertainment, or kyle's need to be the "good" guy and fix cartman.

imo i enjoy a platonic kyman dynamic but i would absolutely HATE if romantic kyman became canon in the show. idm kyman in fanworks and stuff because cartman has infinite room to grow and become a better person to the point where romantic relations can be an option. however, in the show there's little to no room for him to develop as a character with his rep as the asshole, meaning the dynamic stays horribly toxic.

in essence, it's a fun ship to play around with but definitely not one i'd like to see actually happen in the show

Now for Cartman it's obvious he's got something for Kyle but I'm curious, why do you think that Kyle's got something too?

THANK YOU FOR ASKING! i forgot i even made that post. i dont think his feelings resemble cartman's much at all, like i dont think, in the traditional sense, they come from a ROMANTIC place. because i'll be real with yall. cartman is like, IN LOVE with kyle lmao. that's definitely not the case with kyle, however.. i think kyle has this weird compulsion to fix or even just change cartman on a fundamental level. kyle's feelings really go past just "hating" cartman and wanting nothing to do with him, because somehow he has a very hard time cutting him out of his life. like.. not because it's physically impossible but there's some weird mental block keeping him from doing so.

i would say he's less attached to cartman for who he is and more attached to what he represents for him. he gets off on being superior to someone, of course, and i think we have good reason to believe cartman is like a longterm fix-it project for him. because why does he still keep having faith in him? like in casa bonita or jewpacabra? and many other examples im not listing? obviously it can also just be chalked up to "kyle is a better person than cartman" but in a lot of ways kyle is treating cartman no differently than he treats everyone else he forms a fixation on. he wanted to save leslie, he wanted to save heidi, even rebecca, and he sure does want to save cartman too!
