Miraculous: The Exceed Phoenix Saga - Ep. 3: Enter Sabrina Raincomprix

“What?! You’re leaving Paris?” Chloe was shocked to learn that Sabrina will be leaving for New York in a few days. “And you’re leaving me behind?”

“Sorry, Chloe. My aunt Kathryn offered me to live with her.”, replied Sabrina. “I wanted to use that as a chance to become a better person.”

“But I’m your friend! We’ve done so much together…”

“You’re no longer worthy of my friendship, Chloe. Now leave me be.”

This was when Sabrina decided to sever her friendship with Chloe, realizing what a terrible friend she was, and withdrew from her presence.

It was 6 years ago…

Present Day

With Sabrina now homesick for Paris, she decided to return home. By that point, she had grown out her hair, started wearing circular glasses, and had completely changed her wardrobe. She was more than delighted to see her father again. Then, she began to wonder about Chloe, whom she had not talked to in over 6 years.

Sabrina then went to Chloe’s place, who was anticipating her return after their little falling out. “Sabrina! I’ve been missing you for, like, ever.” Lamented Chloe.

“I never did, Chloe.”, replied Sabrina.

“Why not?” Chloe wondered. “I’ve been your friend for years.”

“Used to be my friend. Do you want to know why I decided to sever my friendship with you? Because I just realized what a terrible person you are.”

“Nonsense! I was the most popular girl in our class.”

“Don’t flaunt your ego at me, Chloe! No one else wanted to be friends with you because you’re an egotistical bitch!”

“Why are you saying all of this?”

“I’ve been wanting to rant about this for 6 whole years, Chloe. And now, I have that chance.” After this entire rant, Sabrina left Chloe with a shattered heart.

Melody, who had been observing this drama, transformed into Queen Moth. After making contact with a butterfly, she turned it into a Akuma, sensing Sabrina’s rage. “Go, my little Akuma, and evilize that angry soul.”

And sure enough, the Akuma followed Sabrina, and akumatized the fan she was holding. This allowed Queen Moth to make contact with her.

“Tsukihime, you seem to have a broken friendship. Well, how would like it you could create suffering through the power of moon. But be on the lookout for the Exceed Phoenix, my dear.”

“The moon’s power will be yours, my Queen.”

While all of this was going on, Felix was hanging out with Luka, whom he had considered to be his best friend, and Alix, whom he became close with. They were alerted to Tsukihime’s sudden arrival through his Phoenix Miraculous.

“Just when we thought our day would be Akuma-free…this happens.”, remarked Alix. “Oh well, nothing a good butt-kicking could fix.”

As Alix says this, however, daytime had become nighttime as Tsukihime makes her appearance. “Greetings, sun-dwelling peasants. I am Tsukihime, the Mistress of the Moon.”, greeted Tsukihime. “Bow before me, subjects.”

“I think you should bow before someone else, Tsukihime.”, quipped Alix. “Fluff, clockwise!”

“Icarus, wings spread!”

“Sass, scales slither!”

“If that’s what you what, Fluffytail.” Tsukihime then used her Tessen to attack Bunnyx, but she counters it using her umbrella.

“Please, I insist that you don’t call me that.”, replied Bunnyx.

Meanwhile, the Exceed Phoenix and Viperion were facing off Tsukihime’s mooks, the Lunarites, who are armed with crescent-shaped sickles. As they had figured out, the Lunarites, much like Tsukihime herself, are powered by the moon’s light.

“Well, this isn’t going to end well for you, my dear Miraculous team.” Says Tsukihime, as she charges her Tessen to incapacitate the Miraculous team. However, this didn’t end well for her as Bunnyx used her Burrow ability to knock down Tsukihime.

This backfires, as Bunnyx was knocked back by Tsukihime, who used the Wind element to shoo her away. This prompted Viperion to use Second Chance. This time, the attempt was successful. However, Tsukihime commanded her Lunarites to attack the three, not allowing them to escape.

Tornadus would later appear to give Tsukihime her Lens of Despair, with her putting it in her pocket. “I’ll save this for later.”, reasoned Tsukihime. “Just in case I run out of options.”

While the Lunarites go head-to-head against both Viperion and Bunnyx, Tornadus decides to face the Exceed Phoenix head-on, wanting to settle the score with him.

“It’s about time you and I fought once again.”, lamented Tornadus. “Morbius, Dark wings spread!”

The Dark Exceed Phoenix makes the first attack, with his good counterpart blocking his attacks, one after the other. This made him open to attack, but the Dark Exceed Phoenix started dodging those attacks without any fuss.

Without any options, Felix had to fly in order to escape, but Tornadus started chasing him down. “You’re not getting away from me, Dupain-Cheng!”

“Oh yeah? Make me, Tornadus.”, replied Felix.

What Felix did not anticipate, though, was an attack from Tsukihime, and it gave him a serious beating. This left him defenseless against Tornadus, who was able to defeat him with little effort. Despite the damage he took, Felix kept fighting, and was able to land a few hits on Tornadus. But as he continues this line of attack and taking damage, something started beeping.

“Icarus, what’s that sound?”, asked Felix.

“It’s your Energy Gauge, Felix. We’re running low on power.”, replied Icarus.

With no power left in the Gauge, Felix was forced to detransform. This left him vulnerable to attack. Taking advantage of this, Tornadus prepared to strike. But out of the blue, a yo-yo knocked the Dark Phoenix Miraculous off Tornadus’ hands.

“I heard you were in trouble, Felix.”, remarked Ladybug. “So, Alix sent me an S.O.S.”

“Marinette, I’m glad you’re here!”, replied Felix. “I need a recharge, and fast.”

“You’re in luck.” Marinette then pulls out an energy orb, which allows an Arcanian Miraculous to instantly recharge. “Icarus told me about this.”

Transforming back, Felix discovered something about Tsukihime. Her plan was to turn all of Paris into her personal army. Now that he’s caught up, he had to call backup in the form of Alya and Adrien. And so, he did.

Back with Viperion and Bunnyx, while there were able to defeat the Lunarites with ease, they kept coming. They would later get help when Rena Rouge and Cat Noir arrived, and just in time since there were more Lunarites coming.

Meanwhile, both Ladybug and the Exceed Phoenix were dealing with Tornadus and Tsukihime at the same time. While they initially struggled against the two, Ladybug created a table using her Lucky Charm, and she used it to knock Tornadus out, forcing him to retreat. Meanwhile, the Exceed Phoenix shattered her crystal brooch, reverting nighttime into daytime, weakening both herself and the Lunarites.

With all her power lost, Tsukihime activates her Lens of Despair, and inserts into her fan. This allows her to evolve into the Moon Queen, regaining the power she had lost. However, Felix now knew where the Akuma was hiding.

“Sis, get everyone here. I now know where the Akuma is.” He tells Ladybug. And so, the Miraculous team gather to face off Moon Queen with everything they got, with the Exceed Phoenix acting as the coordinator.

“Tsukihime, I see you activated your Lens of Despair.”, lamented Queen Moth.

“Please, I insist that you call me the Moon Queen.”, replied the Queen.

“Very well, Moon Queen.”

This conversation gave Rena Rouge enough time to stall her using Mirage, creating a nighttime illusion and several clones, which she wiped out in mere seconds. This prompted Rena to create more illusion clones while keeping up with the Moon Queen.

While this was going on, Cat Noir used his Cataclysm to destroy the Tessen, releasing both the Akuma and the Lens of Despair. The former was de-evilized, while the latter ended up being destroyed. Later, the Miraculous Ladybug was used to repair the damage. Tsukihime then reverted back into Sabrina.

“Wait, who are you?”, asked Felix.

“I’m Sabrina Raincomprix.”, replied Sabrina. “You must be Felix Dupain-Cheng.”

“I guess so many people knew about me before I ever met them.”

“Well, you’re my brother after all.”, quipped Marinette.

Meanwhile, Queen Moth was observing their victory.

“Rats, I’ve been foiled!” Queen Moth told herself. “No matter, since Chloe has been left with a broken heart, I might as well akumatize her. Looks like a Plan B is in order.”

As the Miraculous team were bringing Sabrina home, Queen Moth created another Akuma, one she plans to use on Chloe. “There, there, Chloe. Now you will regain the power to transform people into bananas.”

End of Episode 3…

Miraculous: The Exceed Phoenix Saga - Ep. 2: No Harmony with Melody

Once the Dupain-Cheng siblings went home, Marinette was introduced to Icarus, the Metanoian of the Phoenix Miraculous. Mari herself became interested in learning about her brother’s Miraculous, after seeing him transform into the Exceed Phoenix. It is revealed to be an Arcanian Miraculous, meaning it’s not part of the main 12 Miraculous of the Miracle Box.

“So, you’re the Miraculous’ kwami?”, asked Marinette.

“Not a kwami, Marinette, but a Metanoian.”, replied Icarus. “We’re more of a fallen soul than a cosmic being, per se.”

“Ah, okay. No wonder you look different from the rest. That could also explain the sword and shield.”

“Yeah, let’s just say an Arcanian Miraculous such as the Phoenix Miraculous is built differently. They’re more like weapons than standard jewelry, since they’re built specifically for combat. Or rather, they’re jewelry that can transform into weapons.”

With Marinette now up to speed on the situation, Felix began to wonder about the new holder of the Butterfly Miraculous. “Oh yeah, about that, her name is Melody Chabert.”

Meanwhile…

As Melody was planning her next move, she suddenly got a call from Zoe Lee, her best friend back in New York. “Zoe? Why are you calling me at a time like this?”, asked Melody. “You know was in the middle of something here.”

“I was worried about you, Mel.”, replied Zoe. “You haven’t been talking to me ever since Queen Moth showed up.”

“Well, sorry about that. I just…have some personal issues going on, that’s all.”

“I’m glad that you’re okay, Mel. See you soon.”

Melody later hung up, now aware that her cover is about to be blown. “Whew, that was close.” She thought to herself. “What Zoe doesn’t realize is that I am Queen Moth, the current holder of the Butterfly Miraculous. I always thought Ladybug and co. weren’t much of a challenge…until the Exceed Phoenix showed up. With Tornadus’ help, I think I now have the opportunity to even the odds.”

The next day…

“Marinette, Felix, you have guests.”, told Sabine, their mother. Both siblings were wondering what the fuss was about. As it turns out, their guests were none other than the Couffaine siblings, Luka and Juleka, who are Viperion and Purple Tigress, respectively. The two recently found out about the new Miraculous user.

Luka was surprised to see that Marinette had an older brother. “You must be Felix Dupain-Cheng.”, pointing towards him.

“Yes, yes I am.”, replied Felix.

“So, what brings you two here?”, asked Marinette, wondering why the two are even here to begin with.

“Well, we first heard of the new hero through the news.”, replied Juleka, who became more sociable in the past 6 years, largely thanks to her girlfriend, Rose Lavilliant. “He sure looks different than the rest.”

“He calls himself the Exceed Phoenix.”, Marinette told Juleka. “Let’s just say he acts more like a warrior than the rest of us.”

As all of this was going on, a thief by the name of Jean-Michel was on the run from the police, which was led by Roger Raincomprix. He was in a state of fear, and was outnumbered. Luckily, he had help in the most unlikely of places.

Melody had transformed into Queen Moth during this time. This was because she was ready to akumatize him, creating the Akuma she could use on him. “His fear is beginning to cloud his judgement, and it seems he has run of options. Fly, my little Akuma, and evilize him!”

Meanwhile, as the cops prepare to take him in, the Akuma flies in and corrupts the jewel necklace Jean-Michel was holding.

“Hello, Jewelman, I am Queen Moth. I know you want to steal all the jewelry in the world. Well, that changes now, because you can turn anyone into jewels. Oh, and just one more thing. Take down Ladybug, Chat Noir, and the new hero, the Exceed Phoenix.”

“At your service, Queen Moth.” Jean-Michel then became Jewelman, a supervillain based on Arsene Lupin. This allowed him to turn the police into jewelry, allowing him to escape.

Back in the bakery, the Phoenix Miraculous started beeping. Luka began to wonder what was going on. It was then that Felix let his tongue slip. “Yes, I am the Exceed Phoenix.” He tells this to both Luka and Juleka.

“Really? That’s actually pretty cool.”, replied Luka. “But what’s up with that beeping?”

“I didn’t realize this until Icarus told me about it. It’s beeping because it just detected a Akuma. It means Queen Moth has recently akumatized someone.”

That’s when Marinette checked her phone and first heard of Jewelman. “I mean, he’s right. Look at the news. Jewelman’s on the loose!”

Once they head out, Marinette hands both Luka and Juleka their respective Miraculous; the Snake and Tiger. Once she did, the four of them head out.

Meanwhile, as Jewelman continues to hunt for treasure, Tornadus approached him, giving him a special device. “Jewelman, this is your Lens of Despair. Use this to assist yourself in combat.”

Once Jewelman activates his Lens of Despair, he gained his own foot soldiers, the Jewel Eyes, that could help him in battle. “Thanks for the gift, whoever you are.”, thanked Jewelman.

“You can call me Tornadus.”, replied Tornadus. “I will only be observing the fight, for I cannot interfere until necessary.”

Once Jewelman and Tornadus part ways, that’s when the former encountered the Miraculous team. “Ah, the people of the hour themselves, the Miraculous team. Go away, I don’t have time to play your silly games.”

“We’re not afraid of you, Jewelman.” So says Luka. “You ready, guys?”

“We’re ready, Luka.”, replied Juleka.

“Sass, Scales slither!”

“Roarr, Stripes on!”

“Tikki, Spots on!”

“Icarus, Wings spread!”

The four heroes are now ready to take on Jewelman, but not before he summoned his Jewel Eyes army. “Jewel Eyes, get them!”

As the Jewel Eyes charge at them, Purple Tigress began to somersault at her opponents while she whips out her bolasto shatter their jewel-shaped heads. With the mooks now blinded, Ladybug used her yo-yo to trip the Jewel Eyes.

Meanwhile, the Exceed Phoenix and Viperion were battling Jewelman, only for the latter to summon more Jewel Eyes. This led to Viperion getting ambushed by the Jewel Eyes, with no way out.

“Only one way out of this. Second Chance!” Luka slides the head of the Snake Miraculous, allowing him go to back to that point in time. This time he tells the Exceed Phoenix to shatter the Jewel Eyes’ heads, which he does so. This distraction allowed Jewelman to escape, but the Exceed Phoenix began to chase after him, using his wings to fly.

However, Jewelman was trying his best to outrun him, even though he’s merely hopping from building to building. “Face it, Exceed Phoenix, you can’t catch me!”, retorted Jewelman. As he does this, he turns every Parisian into jewelry into his collection.

Meanwhile, as the Jewel Eyes were quickly defeated, both Queen Moth and Tornadus decide to step out of the shadows and confront the Miraculous team directly. “This will be so fun…”, remarked Queen Moth. As Ladybug, Viperion, and Purple Tigress prepare to face the two, Tornadus gives Queen Moth the Lens of Despair, allowing her to summon 3 other villains. She decides to summon Volpina, Darkblade, and Riposte.

“Interesting choices there, my Queen.”, remarked Tornadus.

“This is the best way I can confront my opponents, Tornadus.”, replied Queen Moth.

The 3 villains begin to attack Viperion, Purple Tigress, and Ladybug, with Queen Moth assisting them in battle. Tornadus would later join in on the battle, transforming into the Dark Exceed Phoenix.

As Jewelman continues to be chase down by the Exceed Phoenix, the entire situation had caught the attention of Kagami Tsurugi, who wanted to help the new hero in town, so it was a good thing she already has the Dragon Miraculous.

“Longg, bring the storm!”

Jewelman was then cornered by Ryuko, who was promptly greeted by a swarm of Jewel Eyes. However, Ryuko used the Wind Dragon to escape them. “Where’s Ladybug when you need her?” She told herself.

The Exceed Phoenix arrived, meeting Ryuko for the first time. “My sister is fighting something else.” He replied. “But I’m glad you’re here to help.” As the fight continues, Ryuko used the Water Dragon to subdue Jewelman, allowing the Exceed Phoenix to snatch the jewel necklace from him. Later, Ryuko uses Thunder Dragon to destroy his Lens of Despair.

As the fight continues, Ladybug uses her latest Lucky Charm: a pair of kunais. She uses this to subdue Volpina’s illusions. Later, she creates a boomerang that Purple Tigress can use to disarm Darkblade. Once all 3 villains were defeated, both Queen Moth and Tornadus decided to retreat. “I will see you again, Ladybug.” She told Ladybug as she escapes.

The Exceed Phoenix then returned with Jewelman’s necklace and shatters it, releasing the Akuma. Ladybug uses her yo-yo to capture the Akuma and de-evilizes it. She then uses the boomerang to create a Miraculous Ladybug and repair the damage that had been done to Paris. Ryuko later meets up with the rest of the team.

Meanwhile, Jean-Michel returns to normal, and turns himself in once the police had arrived, having accepted his defeat.

After the battle had passed, Marinette and Felix say goodbye to Luka and Juleka as they were talking to Kagami. “Yeah, let’s just say I arrived at the last minute.” She told both Felix and Marinette.

“You really did, but at least you helped us defeat Jewelman.”, replied Marinette.

“As for you, Felix, I think you have a long journey ahead of you as the Exceed Phoenix.”, remarked Kagami.

“Thanks, Kagami. I needed that.”, replied Felix.

“Anyway, I need to go. Bye, guys.”

“Bye, Kagami.”

As they were walking home, Felix began to wonder about his sister’s role as Guardian of the Miracle Box. “So, Mari, how’s that whole Guardian thing going on for you?”

“Being the Guardian of the Miracle Box isn’t easy, Felix.”, replied Marinette. “But it will be worth it in the end.”

Meanwhile, Melody was detransforming and making a run for it, but this ultimately backfires, as she runs into Zoe. “Mel, what’s going on?”, asked Zoe.

“Uh, nothing…”, replied Mel.

“Are you sure nothing suspicious is going on here?”

“Nope, not at all…”

“Oh, okay. I just want to make sure you’re safe.” After that, Zoe and Mel part ways, with the latter breathing a sigh of relief.

“Whew, and I thought my was cover was going to be blown.” She thought to herself. “Looks like I’m going to need a different approach.”

Post-Timeskip Miraculous superheroes - Part 1

So, for The Exceed Phoenix Saga, I had a few ideas lying around for redesigns for the Miraculous team in this story. Without further ado, here are my suggestions.

Ladybug

I'd say her redesigned would be based on the Picrew that I shared here not too long ago. Not much to say there.

Cat Noir

Same with Ladybug, as his redesign is also based on the Picrew from long ago.

Rena Rouge

In all honestly, I don't know.

Carapace

I also don't know what Carapace would look like in my story.

Ryuko

I'd say she would be based on the Ryuko art that @zoe-oneesama did just recently.

Viperion

This has less to do with the base Viperion Suit but rather his power-up form, Viperion Mebius. Having just mentioned that, that form would probably include a metallic green into his colors.

Polymouse

The redesign would probably include some black into the mix.

Vesperia

Vesperia's suit would probably become a bit more Ultraman-like, more specifically her redesign is based on Ultraman Cosmos' Luna Form.

Pegasus

Much like with Bunnyx, his costume would remain the same. However, I did imagine him wearing an alternate version of the Ultimate Aegis.

King Monkey

I was thinking a more monk-like appearance.

Miraculous: The Exceed Phoenix Saga - Ep. 4: A Rock and a Banana

Shortly after Tsukihime’s defeat, Queen Moth created another Akuma, one she could use on Chloe Bourgeois. “That broken heart shall be mine! Go, my little Akuma, and evilize her!” With the Akuma going after Chloe, Queen Moth decided to go after it, but she had to detransform in order to do so.

Once the Akuma reached Chloe’s place, it Akumatized the hat she was wearing. “What’s going on?”, asked Chloe.

“Hello, Queen Banana. I am Queen Moth.”, replied Queen Moth. “I heard that your heart had been shattered in so many pieces. Well, I’m giving back your powers so that you gain revenge on Ladybug and Cat Noir.”

“Don’t worry, they’ll know I’m coming.”

“Oh, and one more thing: Keep your guard up for the Exceed Phoenix.”

Shortly after the battle with Tsukihime, Felix began to wonder about Sabrina. “Yeah, about that. Sabrina is Chloe’s best friend, but their friendship began to fracture after she left for New York.” Marinette explained. “It got worse after she came back.”

“How do you know all of this?”, asked Felix.

“Oh, Zoe told me all about it.”, replied Marinette. “She and Chloe are half-sisters.”

“Okay then.”

As they were talking, the Phoenix Miraculous started detecting a Akuma. “Just when I’m done with Queen Moth, I get another one.”, quipped Felix.

“Let me guess, another Akuma?”, asked Marinette.

“Yep.”, replied Felix. “And it’s just right after we defeated Tsukihime. Something tells me this is Queen Moth’s Plan B.”

“I’ll call Adrien, then we’ll deal with the villain once we catch up to you.”

“Deal.”

And so, Marinette did. Meanwhile, Felix had transformed ahead of time in order to find Queen Banana, except he did not know where Chloe’s place was. While all of this was taking place, Queen Banana was given by Tornadus her Lens of Despair. This allowed her to summon Banana Boom-Boom, her sentimonster, an unusual thing that the Lens could do.

Much like last time, Queen Banana started turning people into bananas, laughing maniacally as she does so. This prompted the arrival of the Exceed Phoenix, who immediately started attacking. Lucky for him, the shield can deflect all kinds of attacks.

“Banana Boom-Boom, attack him!”, commanded Queen Banana.

The Exceed Phoenix was way too fast for Banana Boom-Boom to keep up with. But when he had caught up to him, Banana Boom-Boom grabbed him by the legs, and threw him to the ground.

“Oh, so you want to fight dirty, huh?”, remarked Felix. “Guess what? I can rival your strength, too.”

“Element Change! Ignis to Terra!”

Changing into Exceed Phoenix Terra, Felix decided to beat the Sentimonster at its own game, using the power of the Earth. “Come get some!”, taunted Felix.

Meanwhile, Ladybug and Cat Noir transformed and took on Queen Banana, although it didn’t come without struggle. For one, the banana that she wielded originally has been upgraded into a bow gun, meaning she could turn people into bananas much faster. As for Banana Boom-Boom, the bananas on his belt now have the destructive power of a hand-grenade, and carries with him an axe.

While this puts the Exceed Phoenix at a disadvantage, he had to find a way to knock the axe away from him. This was easier said than done, as Banana Boom-Boom was constantly holding his axe. However, thanks to the power of the Earth, the Exceed Phoenix was able to knock the axe away from him.

“Defenseless without your axe? Tough luck.” The Exceed Phoenix then created a cluster of rocks that surround Banana Boom-Boom, and then proceeds to destroy said cluster. This prompted Banana Boom-Boom to punch him, but the Exceed Phoenix blocked it, climbed on top of him, jumped, and drop kicked him.

“How’s that for damage?”, quipped Felix.

Back with Ladybug and Cat Noir, they’re at a standstill. By that point, Cat Noir had been turned into a banana. This forced Ladybug to use her Lucky Charm, which granted her a sword and shield, much like the Phoenix Miraculous, but they couldn’t combine.

This allowed Ladybug to last much longer in combat, but with a bit of struggle. Running out of options, she hid behind a wall and called Zoe. “Uh, Zoe, we have a bit of a problem…” She tells Zoe.

“I know, Marinette, we’ve dealt with her before.”, replied Zoe. “But I’m coming anyway. It’s Chloe you’re dealing with, and I need to help you.”

With Zoe on her way, Marinette had to change her strategy, and she began to wonder where Felix is. “Where are you, Felix?” She thought to herself.

Meanwhile, the Exceed Phoenix started wrestling with Banana Boom-Boom, with the former grabbing the latter by the waist and flipped him on his lid. “Looks like you need to call your Queen if you want to survive.”

Enraged, Banana Boom-Boom rammed the Exceed Phoenix to a nearby building, but the latter survived. This was what prompted the Exceed Phoenix to use Terra’s special ability: the Gravity Hammer.

The gravity surrounding Banana Boom-Boom became highly pressurized, and it constantly felt like he’s been constantly pushed to the ground. This provided enough time for Vesperia to show up and immobilize him using Venom.

“You must be Vesperia.”, remarked the Exceed Phoenix. “Did my sister call you?”

“Yep.”, replied Vesperia. “Anyway, we need to go and help her.”

Both the Exceed Phoenix and Vesperia were able to back up Ladybug once they arrived. Running out of options, Queen Banana activated her Lens of Despair and inserted it into her bowgun. This turns Banana Boom-Boom into a mech-suit, and the bowgun into a gatling gun. This became the Mech-Banana.

With this newfound power, Queen Banana was able to overpower the three. But since the Exceed Phoenix was still in his Terra form, he was able to fight back. Then he began to wonder if he could combine his powers with that of other Miraculous.

“Yes, it’s possible.”, replied Icarus.

“Alright, then.”, remarked Felix. “Icarus! Pollen! Soul Unison!”

Using the combined powers of the Bee and the Earth, the Exceed Phoenix was able to both immobilize Queen Banana and heavily damaged the Mech-Banana. And since Terra has high defense, the Exceed Phoenix was able to deflect Queen Banana’s shots.

“How is he deflecting my shots?”, lamented Queen Banana.

The Exceed Phoenix then used both the Gravity Hammer and Venom on the Mech-Banana, and in no time flat, he was able to immobilize the Mech-Banana. But before he could destroy the hat containing the Akuma, his Energy Gauge went off.

“You do the honors, Vesperia.” The Exceed Phoenix tells Vesperia. “I don’t have enough juice left.”

“Will do.”

Vesperia then destroyed the hat, releasing the Akuma. Marinette then prepared her yo-yo, ready to catch the Akuma.

“Time to be de-evilized!”

Once the Akuma was de-evilized, the Miraculous Ladybug was activated, and everything was repaired, and Cat Noir was reverted back to normal. Chloe was then escorted back home.

After they detransformed, Felix started to suffer from fatigue. Zoe and Marinette had to carry him back home.

“Hey, Felix. Are you okay?”, asked Marinette.

“I’m fine, I’m probably just drained.”, replied Felix. “Probably what happens when you use up your Energy Gauge.”

The next day…

Following the battle with Queen Banana, Sabrina decided to visit Chloe, mainly to seek closure. This was after Zoe convinced her to let go of her rage towards Chloe, saying that people have the capacity to change. Afterwards, Zoe showed her to Chloe’s room.

“Hey, Chloe. Sorry I acted the way I did.” Sabrina tells Chloe.

“Sorry for being a terrible friend.”, replied Chloe. “I guess I let my status and ego get the better of me.”

“Huh, so we’re both even.”, remarked Sabrina.

“I guess so.”

Meanwhile, Felix was still recovering from his fatigue from the previous day. It felt weird since his Miraculous isn’t damaged. It most likely had something to do with Exceed Phoenix Terra, the form he had recently acquired.

“I believe you’re not used to the Elemental powers.”, remarked Icarus.

“Yeah, I suppose that’s the case.”, replied Felix.

As they continue walking, Felix, without warning, ended up fainting. While the entire crowd looks on, not doing anything to help Felix, a red-headed woman came to his rescue and carried him away from the crowd. “Don’t worry, Felix, I’ll keep you safe.”, assured the woman.

Miraculous: The Exceed Phoenix Saga - Ep. 1: The Phoenix's Rebirth

After a series of back and forths between him and his grandmother, Gina Dupain, Felix Dupain-Cheng decides to move to Paris to be with the rest of his family, which includes his younger sister, Marinette. As he packs his bags, he found a picture of both himself and Marinette from when they were kids, putting it in his backpack. Felix later said his goodbye to his grandmother before boarding the bus.

A few hours later…

After a while, Felix arrived at his parents’ bakery, greeting both his parents and his younger sister. “Hey, Felix. Nice to meet you after so many years.”, greeted Marinette.

“I know; It just feels so weird being here with you guys.”, remarked Felix. “Especially since I’ve been out of your life for years.”

Marinette and Felix then brought the latter’s bags to the former’s room, which made Felix more welcome. “So, ready to meet my friends tomorrow?”, asked Marinette. He says yes.

Several days later, Felix is introduced to Adrien Agreste, who remarked that he shares his name with his cousin. Later, he would be introduced to Marinette’s best friend, Alya Cesaire, who is smitten with him. “Don’t even think about it, Alya.”, remarked Marinette.

Meanwhile, Alix Kubdel, who was skating all the way to the bakery, had informed the gang that the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris had been robbed. However, it had been 6 or so years since Hawk Moth was defeated. By that point, Gabriel Agreste had surrendered both the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculous to Marinette. Naturally, Marinette was confused as to why someone would rob the museum when the Akumas, and to an extension the Amok, have become less of a threat. This was unless the Butterfly Miraculous had been stolen yet again, which as it turns out, it was.

It had been stolen by Melody Chabert, a model hailing from New York, and she wanted revenge for all the people that have wronged her. And she turned Gabriel into The Collector in order to rob the museum, which had some of the finest paintings in the world. Naturally, Marinette and company spring into action.

“Mari, where are you going?”, asked Felix.

“Oh, nothing…”, replied Marinette, having to hide her secret from her older brother. This comment increased his suspicion that she was Ladybug. And so, he went after them.

Later, as The Collector leaves the museum, he is immediately confronted by Ladybug, Cat Noir, Rena Rouge, and Bunnyx, having transformed ahead of time. While all of this was going on, a mysterious figure was observing from the shadows, waiting for the perfect time to strike. As the fight begins, Ladybug was able to dodge The Collector’s attacks, and Rena Rouge used her illusions to disarm him. This allowed the mysterious figure to use his Miraculous to enhance his powers, but it came at a cost.

Rather than using negative emotions, the Miraculous gave The Collector the power of Darkness. And it turned him into an Arcearius, a kaijin from the glory days of the Arcanian Kingdom. With this newfound power, he rechristens himself as the Lupin Arcearius, giving the Miraculous team a hard time.

Meanwhile, as Felix was on his way to the museum, he found a stone egg, which contained a very peculiar bracelet in the shape of a bird. It was able to sense the Miraculous team in danger, allowing Felix to hear his sister’s plead for help. And so, without hesitation, puts the bracelet on, his eyes begin to glow, and is greeted by its Metanoian, Icarus.

“Greetings, master. I am Icarus.” He introduced himself.

“Hi, Icarus, I’m Felix, and I need your help.” He pleaded. Icarus the sensed the Miraculous team in danger, knowing they’re about to meet their end.

“I see you want to help your fellow Miraculous users. Well then, I shall give you, its power!”

The stone coating began to break, and Felix was teleported to the museum. Meanwhile, as the Miraculous team began to struggle against the Lupin Arcearius, the latter began to charge his magnum. “Alas, it was nice knowing you...”

Just as he fired the magnum, the blast was immediately deflected by Felix, having arrived just in time, whose bracelet became the Phoenix Miraculous, based on the sword and shield. With Icarus by his side, Felix grabbed the handle, pulled out the sword, and yelled out “Icarus, wings spread!” Light engulfs his entire body, with Icarus creating the armor.

Everyone was in awe at what they saw. Felix Dupain-Cheng became the Exceed Phoenix, a hero who was once thought to be a legend, as he was never mentioned in the Miraculous spellbook. But it didn’t matter to the Lupin Arcearius, he was next on his hit list. But the Exceed Phoenix prove to evenly match him, largely due to the Phoenix Miraculous not being part of the main 12.

Due to his aggressive fighting style, the Exceed Phoenix is able to beat the Lupin Arcearius with ease, even more so with the Miraculous team aiding him. With the Lupin Arcearius now weakened, the Exceed Phoenix unleashed his finishing attack, the Burning Phoenix Crash, creating an energy projection of a phoenix and charging at his opponent, destroying the darkness and purifying the Akuma in the progress.

Gabriel is now freed from the Akuma’s influence, and was instructed to go to safety. This was when the mysterious figure reveals himself to be Tornadus, a warrior of unknown origins. He transforms by raising his sword and yelling “Morbius, wings spread!”, becoming the Dark Exceed Phoenix.

“Wait, Icarus, who is this guy?”, asked Felix.

“His name is Tornadus, and he’s the wielder of the Dark Phoenix Miraculous.”, replied Icarus.

Despite his best efforts, the Dark Exceed Phoenix was able to beat his good counterpart at his own game. However, this gave him the opportunity to summon Icarus, allowing him to gain a physical form and fight alongside him. And so, both the Exceed Phoenix and Icarus were able to fight back, and were able to defeat him. Tornadus brushed this off and escapes. Both parties wanted to know why he did this, but Tornadus himself says he has morals.

After all of this, the Miraculous team reunite, but Carapace, Rena Rouge, and Bunnyx had to leave, leaving just the main three. “I know who the both of you are…” Felix told both Ladybug and Cat Noir, much to their surprise. Detransforming in front of one another, it was at that point that Felix knew that Marinette was Ladybug.

“Felix, how did you know who I am?”, asked Marinette.

“Mari, you don’t look a whole lot different when you’re Ladybug.”, replied Felix. “That’s why I was able to deduce who you are.”

This baffled both Marinette and Adrien, as the Miraculous magically disguises their identities. But they all seem to brush this off, as they return to the bakery. Meanwhile, Melody Chabert, the current Butterfly Miraculous holder, was observing from afar, trying to maintain composure. “So, I’ve been defeated by the new guy. Well, this wouldn’t bode well for me.”

She would later be met by Tornadus, who wanted to fight the Exceed Phoenix in a one-on-one without compromise. “I see you want to fight the Exceed Phoenix, Ms. Chabert.”, remarked Tornadus.

“Why are you asking me, and who are you anyway?”, asked Melody. “How do you know who I am?”

“I am Tornadus, and I want to train you against the Exceed Phoenix.”, replied Tornadus. “I was able to sense the presence of the Butterfly Miraculous because of you.”

“Oh really? Could you help me to fight against the Miraculous team?”

“Deal.” They shake hands, joining forces against the Exceed Phoenix and the Miraculous team.

Primary Miraculous: Albino Crow

Alter-Ego: Seraphis

Elaina Couric is a Metahuman (half-human, half-Metanoian) who is the cousin of Melody Chabert, the former holder of the Butterfly Miraculous. Initially, she was a shy, neurotic, and cold-hearted person. However, after being saved by the United Heroez, and discovering her Metahuman heritage, found the Albino Crow Miraculous and became Seraphis.

She would later pass her powers, and ultimately the Albino Crow Miraculous, to Aurore Beaureal, becoming her Metanoian partner and transforming Aurore into Seraphina.

Miraculous: The Exceed Phoenix Saga - Ep. 5: Fire Meets Water

While Felix was still in a coma, he had a dream from his own point of view. He saw the death and destruction surrounding him. All of this was going on when suddenly, a familiar sounding voice called him out.

“Fight me, Kincade, and we’ll end their suffering!”, proclaimed Tornadus.

Felix began to wonder to himself. “Who’s Kincade?” He thought to himself. Still, he had to fight Tornadus, and he did, albeit sustaining a lot of injuries. With no other options left, and seeing Tornadus weakened by the attacks made, Felix forces himself to strike Tornadus, with the latter doing the same thing. Once this happens, both parties collapsed.

Once this happens, Felix woke up from his coma. To his surprise, he was not in his own house. “Where am I?” He asked himself. Then, the woman who rescued him earlier entered the room with a cup of tea.

“Oh, you’re awake.”, replied the woman. “I was fixing up some tea while you were asleep.”

Immediately Felix recognized her face and red hair. “Wait a minute, aren’t you Mme. Caline Bustier?”, asked Felix.

“Yeah, and I know for a fact that your Marinette’s older brother.”, replied Mme. Bustier. “Then again, I know that your sister is Ladybug.”

“I guess I’m not the only one who knew about that.”

Once Felix recovered from his fatigue, he and Mme. Bustier went to the balcony of her house. This is where the latter asked Felix if he is the Exceed Phoenix.

“I have the Miraculous to prove it, Mme. Bustier.”, replied Felix. “And I have a long way to go before I could call myself a hero.”

“You sure do, Felix. You sure do.”

Meanwhile, Marinette became worried about Felix and wondered if he’s okay. This was what prompted her to call him through Mme. Bustier.

“Hello, Marinette.”, answered Mme. Bustier. “Yes, Felix is in my house. You’re looking for him?”

“Tell Mari I’m coming.”, replied Felix.

As she does so, Felix ended up transforming and immediately flew off to the Patisserie. But not before he said goodbye to Mme. Bustier. “Thanks for saving me back there, Mme. Bustier.”

“You’re welcome, Felix.”

Meanwhile, Tornadus, being heavily injured in his last battle with the Exceed Phoenix, created a Lens of Despair as a contingency plan, in case Queen Moth creates a Akuma, but since both Tsukihime and Queen Banana were unable to succeed in defeating the Miraculous team, he became curious as to how the Lens would function without the Akuma. That’s where he spotted Le Chien Kim, the wielder of the Monkey Miraculous.

“He’s an interesting looking fellow.”, remarked Tornadus. “He’ll be the guinea pig I need for this experiment.”

“Master, are you sure this is going to work?”, asked Morbius. “You’ve never done this before.”

“It doesn’t hurt to try, Morbius.”

Tornadus then made contact with Kim by sending his Lens of Despair in the form of a black feather. Tempted by the darkness, Kim was forced to activate his Lens of Despair.

“That’s it, Kim, give in to the darkness…”, coerced Tornadus. “With it, you can become stronger.”

Kim ultimately gave into the darkness, and activated the Lens. The Lens gave him power over fire, much like the Exceed Phoenix. Tornadus then christened him as Firebrander, the Lord of Flames. With this newfound power, Firebrander tested out his powers on unsuspecting Parisians, wanting to lure the Exceed Phoenix out.

“Come out here, Exceed Phoenix! I know you’re out there!”, proclaimed Firebrander. “This city will be reduced to ashes if you don’t come here!”

As Felix was flying to the Patisserie, the Phoenix Miraculous alerted him to Firebrander’s rampage. Naturally, he called up Marinette and Adrien. But since Adrien wasn’t able to answer his call, he instead contacted the Couffaine siblings.

Once he does this, Marinette joined up with the Couffaine siblings, and they were able to help Felix beat Firebrander at their own game. However, as Felix began to realize, Firebrander was created without a Akuma present. This meant that Firebrander was a creation of the Dark Exceed Phoenix, rather than that of Queen Moth.

“Yeah, I think we’re screwed.”, quipped Viperion. “Unless we could put out the fires he’s starting.”

“Too bad for you, because Paris will become nothing but ashes!”

As the fight got more and more intense, the Exceed Phoenix recalled that you need to fight fire with water. Once Firebrander found him, he dodged the attack, diving into the river in the process. This allowed him to absorb the energy of the water. After he does this, he emerged from the river, ready to fight him.

“I know you’re looking for me, Firebrander.”, remarked the Exceed Phoenix. “Well, here I am.”

“Ah, the Exceed Phoenix. I can’t wait to destroy you.”, proclaimed Firebrander.

“Not until I douse your flames first.”, replied the Exceed Phoenix. “Element Change! Ignis to Aqua!”

The Exceed Phoenix knew that Firebrander’s weakness was water, this was why he had to dive into the river and absorb the energy of the water. It was needed to create Exceed Phoenix Aqua.

The first thing Felix did was to douse the flames Firebrander created. There’s was one problem: Much like Exceed Phoenix Terra, Aqua lacks the ability to fly. This forces the Exceed Phoenix to rely on his agility. While Firebrander would constantly throw fireballs at him, the Exceed Phoenix countered by using the Splash Bomb, Aqua’s special attack.

Later, the Exceed Phoenix then doused the larger flames with the Mega Splash Bomb, a bigger version of a Splash Bomb. Ladybug then created a Lucky Charm, which was a massive fire extinguisher. This allowed her to douse plenty of flames left by Firebrander.

As the Exceed Phoenix and Firebrander continue to fight, the former managed to weaken him using a Splash Bomb. This line of attack continues with Water Whips and Aqua Chains. Firebrander became so weak that he ended up stabbing himself with the Lens of Despair, turning him into a massive Kaiju.

This forced the Miraculous team to change their strategy, which involved Purple Tigress, since she has the power of Clout. However, Firebrander needed to be weakened first before she could use it. It got harder for them since he became a Kaiju, which is much stronger than his human form.

This didn’t stop the Exceed Phoenix from being able to put a stop to Firebrander’s reign of terror. Since he’s still in Aqua form, he’s still able to weaken Firebrander even in his Kaiju form, but he has to do it fast, as his Energy Gauge could go off at any minute. However, Ladybug was willing to help him.

“Don’t worry, we’ll take him down together.”, assured Ladybug.

“Thanks, sis.”, replied the Exceed Phoenix.

Once Firebrander was able to reach the Eiffel Tower, both Viperion and Purple Tigress were able to distract him long enough for Ladybug and the Exceed Phoenix to douse his flames, weakening him in the process. This allows Purple Tigress to execute Clout, which was powerful enough to destroy the Lens of Despair, freeing Kim from the darkness.

“You alright, Kim?”, asked Viperion.

“Yeah, I’m good.”, replied Kim. “Who’s the new guy?”

“Oh, that’s the Exceed Phoenix.”, replied Marinette.

“Nice to meet you.”

“Oh, thanks.”, remarked the Exceed Phoenix. “Anyway, I have to go.”

Later, the Miraculous Ladybug was activated, and the damage done by Firebrander was fixed.

Several hours later…

Felix decided to chill by the park near his home, along with talking to Icarus about the strange dream that he had.

“Oh, what you just told me was a war that happened thousands of years ago.”, replied Icarus. “Don’t worry, Felix, you’ll find out soon enough.”

“I sure will, but I was more curious as to why Tornadus called me Kincade.”

Their conversation was interrupted by the arrival of the Celestial Guardian, Su-Han, who had been living in Paris since Hawk Moth’s defeat 6 years ago.

“You must be the Exceed Phoenix, right?”, asked Su-Han.

“Yes, I am.”, replied Felix. “Also, who are you?”

“I am Su-Han, the Celestial Guardian.”, answered Su-Han. “I’m surprised Marinette never told you about me.”

“That’s because I never asked her about it.”

“Wait, aren’t you, her brother?”

“Older brother, to be specific.”

“Anyway, you have to listen to me very clearly. I foresee a dark force that could one day destroy everything that stands in its way. It is referred to many as the Radical Destruction Bringer, so you must be careful, as it could reemerge at any moment.”

“Alright, Su-Han. I’ll keep watch.”

Once Su-Han departs, Felix began to ask question regarding the Radical Destruction Bringer. Icarus sighs, as he couldn’t answer all of his questions at once. After this, they decided to go home.

Meanwhile, near the alleyway, Tornadus was visited by Queen Moth, who became aware of what he did.

“So, you created a Lens of Despair without a Akuma, I see.”, commented Queen Moth.

“Yes, but that’s only because Tsukihime and Queen Banana had failed.”, replied Tornadus. “I wanted to know how it would function without a Akuma.”

“Interesting thought there, Tornadus.”

“And I just realized I never saw you without the mask, Ms. Chabert.”

“So, you really want to know what I look like behind the mask, huh?” And with that, she detransformed, revealing her identity in front of Tornadus. “After this, I insist that you call me Melody.”

“Whatever you say…Melody.”

So, about Sabrina. Once I found out she would be wielding the Dog Miraculous, I was forced to find a way to change my plans. You see, in The Exceed Phoenix Saga, I intended Sabrina to wield the Swan Miraculous, and later she would use the Wyvern Miraculous. But those plans could change at any given time.
