“ are you sure you’re okay? ” Y'shtaka to Saya or Soliri :D

Y’shtaka’s gentle, concerned tone was the only thing that’d gotten Soliri’s attention in over an hour. She lifted her head from her pillow, even though the movement pulled at the stiff, aching skin on her shoulders. Her nose wrinkled at the pain. She sighed and flopped back down, white-blonde hair sliding over the pillowcase that was only just managing to not smother her. 

“Sunburn...” she groaned, though her admission was completely unnecessary the moment Shtaka pulled back she sheets bunched up around her. A few days of travel through the Lochs had left the pale skinned Miqo’te as red as an apple beneath the flurry of freckles that remained from her last excursion. “Too hot for sleeves.”

Shtaka tutted at her, but smoothed a hand over her hair all the same, careful to avoid putting too much pressure on her tender pink scalp. 

“Would you rather suffer the sweat or the burn?”

Soliri took a moment, head buried, fingers curling at the corners of the pillow. The question was rhetorical for the most part, but that didn’t stop Iri from considering. She hated being sweaty. Being sweaty meant rashes, and rashes were as uncomfortable as the burn. But burns left you stiff and uncomfortable for days...

She lifted her head, but didn’t turn to look at the woman beside her. She stared straight ahead, murmured a weak, “Freckles are cute, aren’t they?” before thumping facedown into the pillow again.

Her ears twitched when Shtaka chuckled at her, and she grinned into the too-warm pillowcase.

It's okay, I'm also trying my best to not make too many alts but even just last night I made a cute cat. They don't understand it's just your destiny to make alts.

RIGHT lol some people are super talented at making amazing roe’s, colorful and beautiful au ra, some people have the gorgeous hyurs down to an art, there are of course the elegant and wondrous elezen, and some people make the greatest lala’s i’ve ever seen, i’ve just taken up to making some cats here and there >>; just a few i swear… maybe just one more |D

Randomly started drawing some miqo’tes as well. Briefly went back to FFXIV during their free play weekend. I saw a miqo’te there, and figured, why not draw this one with my own miqo’te. Random things people do at 3 or 4 in the morning.  @kapreisun

Never before had Oko ever disliked anyone quite the way she disliked this man. Everything about him seemed to irritate her, make the hair on the back of her neck stand on edge, and her palm itch with the desire to make contact with his face. He was infuriating, bad-mouthed, disrespectful, and slimy. She isn’t actually sure why she’s trying to talk to him now, perhaps out of desperate attempt to pry an apology from his smirking lips, because apparently she still thought that was going to happen.

She’d just seen him walking the streets, something compelling her to just go talk to him, seeing as she never got any closure (and really, only had just left him sitting in the midst of the street with a binding spell stuck to his feet,) and immediately, tensions flared.

Flared, apparently, to the point that Deux grew tired of listening to her yammer, as he so eloquently put it, and grabbed hold of her shoulders to force their lips together - if only to shut her up. Which, for the record, Oko did not appreciate. In the slightest.

The second he pulls away, lets go of her shoulders, her arm pulls back as far as she can let it go before coming back around, a loud, resounding smack with the force of a thousand tiny miqo’te behind it coming off his cheek as her palm meets it, anger unlike any she’d ever had before across her face.

Settling himself down upon the ground, Ganbatahr lets out a long sigh - he was tired. Not that it was anyone’s fault but his own, mind you, but he still was. Watching after a spindly Miqo’te was more work than he’d thought he’d be taking on, sweet as she was, and it left him wanting to take a damn nap. If only because he was used to being asleep more than he was awake, and being jostled from his usual rhythm was... jarring, to say the least.

But at least her personality served to bolster his, despite this tiredness inside him he still found it in him to grin, to smile, to make sure she felt safe, because really, during their initial meeting he was sure she’d felt anything but. If he could give her some peace of mind while she was here in this city, then he wouldn’t complain.

As he sits there, Sahja comes over, some flustered look upon her face as she kneels beside him (she’s so tiny, even when they sit,) and leans in to lay what is possibly the quickest kiss in the world upon his pale cheek, and then immediately apologizes - and apologizes again! She says she’d only wanted to say thank you, as if the gil she’d paid him wasn’t enough, and blushes. He’s noticed she does that a lot, over even little things.

But Dusk Mother willing, he’d never complain about that either.

Do you ever feel overwhelmed or a bit lost having so many characters? I have 10 and always feel so guilty for not playing as much on alts as I do on my main and vice versa dfkgjfdkh you are truly goals.

ahh, i swear, i’m not goals at all!! i’m so bad at sticking to one character in any game; you should see how many i have for various fandoms on pinterest. but it’s especially bad in mmos. i’m close to hitting the fifty character limit in world of warcraft. 😔

with ffxiv, i’m always finding a different npc that catches my eye or i get a glam idea that doesn’t Work for any of my current characters or i’ll get a flash of inspiration and just immediately drop everything else to make someone new. i think the biggest reason i can juggle so many at once without feeling overwhelmed is that i know from experience that they’ll always be there for me to go back to at the end of the day. 🤍

having so many ocs in a fandom where alts aren’t as encouraged can be really hard, though. i’ll admit that. wanting people to care about your ocs when you keep throwing new ones at everyone rapid fire is Rough.

buuuut!! making ocs is fun! make tons of alts, put them all in a row, and just LOVE them.
