Stars: Our characters under the stars together

    ❝Come on.❞

          ❝Where are we going?❞

     ❝You’ll see. We’re almost there.❞

They weren’t going anywhere fancy. Merely a clearing in the woods, one where was no trees blocking the view of the sky. At night she often found herself coming out here to be left undisturbed, so that she could gaze up at the stars like she used too when she was back in Florida. It wasn’t the same but sometimes she pretended that it was, that she wasn’t here in Mystic Falls but rather on the warm sunny beaches in Orlando just after the sun had set and watching as the stars began to fill up the darkening sky. Then she’d open her eyes and remember that she was here, and all that had changed since. 

     ❝I wanted to be a star once.❞

She found herself admitting as she laid out on the ground, looking at the last bit of light leave the sky. To this day she still remembered the moment well, how she wished for death to take her, to find herself up among the stars alongside her parents where her mother had told her she would be when she died. All she had wanted was to join her family up there, and although she had met death, she had awoken on the other side of it to become what she was now. Yet she didn’t tell him that bit, there was some things she found herself telling him more than she usually told others, and maybe that had to do with the fact she felt oddly calm and relaxed around him. 

As the moon and the stars filled the sky, it wasn’t their shine that had her attention, for out of the corner out of her eye, she had noticed that he had begun to glow. Never before had she seen anything like it or really anyone like him. To say she was in awe was putting it lightly. What would happen if she touched him? No.. she couldn't do that. It was enough just to lay here and marvel in the moment of it, take it all in. Wait was that creepy? Should she say something?

     ❝You’re incredible. I mean - what you’re doing is incredible. Wow…❞
