sharing some info on the rick and minnie divorce arc im working on rn

not so much happens but its a huge step in the healing of their relationship and trust

sort of a timeline:

(minnie returns -> shaky introduction to the family -> things become normalized, everyone starts getting comfortable -> bombshell of CFC information -> minnie goes to stay with BP -> dramatic stuff happens -> rick and minnie begin seeing dr wong together -> minnie comes home and they try to make it work 👍)

#rick and morty oc #rick sanchez/oc #text post #info #rick #minnie #fun little side thing that happens bc of all this is it affects ricks relationship w birdperson too #in multiple bad ways lol #so #minnies natural caretaking tendencies while living with bp lead her to becoming a mother figure to birddaughter #and they sort of resemble this faux family unit from the outside #and rick while in a bad place accuses bp of trying to steal his wife #which is not true #but bp does genuinely love having minnie around (bc he missed her) but also to help with birddaughter #and they have fostered a way healthier and more balanced and trustworthy #relationship with each other than rick has had with either of them #so ricks just butthurt and jealous #but also....#this strengthened relationship has to reckon with the fact that rick is the one who took minnie away from bp #(and squanchy and everyone else lol)#for all those years in the first place #so theres some forgiving that has to happen b4 anyone can move on #they do end up working it out but as you can imagine it is tough and takes a while #i love writing i wish i could do it with my own ocs lol 🙃#my stuff
