I know war is hell (worse. Reference to famous M.A.S.H scene), but watching 'Charlie Wilson's War', which is about the Russians vs Afghanistan in 1980, and even if this was exaggerated, you KNOW it had to be based off SOME reality. Forewarning: this is some of the darkest shit I ever heard of, and it happened on a war zone somewhere.....<I am telling you: THIS IS GRAPHIC!>
1-The Russians slit the throats of their enemies kids in front of them. Some parents they kept alive as prisoners....
2-Defectors were laid up in piles, alive, like a stack of bricks, then run over by a tank!
3-They would put weaker 'distraction' land mines to PURPOSELY lure children so they would get injured, and have to be cared for by an adult/parent(s), taking that said adult/parent(s) out of the war (lessening overall troops by harming kids).
And yet the USA has never ONCE wavered in their wars where we KNOW FOR A FACT we did JUST as bad with our military AND worse (sorry, agent orange, genocide, nukes....THOSE ARE STILL WORSE).
Every day I wonder if I should get back up on the fence of 'does humanity REALLY deserve to survive? Nature and the planet does, but do we?' I have more doubts than I did as a kid....and I was BULLIED HOrrIBLY many times as a kid, so if I still had more hope when things were going much worse.....doesn't say too many good things about our present state. Part of me just wants to say 'smite all those who support any and all war. Bankers to weapon manufacturers to politicians to grunts. Let them kill each other instead of innocent people just inbetween them.'
But if there's proof of no god, it's our world today. Cuz either god isn't all powerful or doesn't exist, aka, not god, or they are powerful, and are watching us like ants with a magnifying glass and a running hose...which way to torture us?
FUCK IT! I'm going all in on war guilt. Here's two scenes from Mash that will KILL YOUR SOUL!
