Large Muse Christmas Gifts Post

This post will have everything that my kid muses are getting for Christmas and all the details around the holiday. It includes Cole and Mayson, human childhood verse Connor, Carter, Niles, Neilos, and Ava. And then also Lana. I also include blurbs about Sarah and Hank. There will be stockings, gifts, wrapping paper choices, advent calendars, and even a Christmas eve box.

The kid’s ages: Mayson and Cole’s age are verse dependent about I went with about 11. Connor and Carter are also 11. Niles is 10. Neilos is 8. Ava is 4.

Christmas Eve Box

Hank likes to do a ‘Christmas Eve Box’ with the kids. Some type of fun snack and candy, matching family pajamas, and a game everyone can play together.

Cole and Mayson’s box is pretty much the same as Connor, Carter, Niles, Neilos, and Ava’s box. The only difference being the game the kids got to play.

Each box has some popcorn and seasonings, fun colored and flavored candy canes, hot chocolate balls, and matching Christmas pajamas. Cole and Mayson got a puzzle game called break free where it’s a race to break out of maze based handcuffs. The other kids got a game that is like air hockey but with sling shots to shot the pucks across the board. That won’t be an issue at all...

Advent Calendars

Hank does advents for all of his kids. Sarah doesn’t do any. So Lana doesn’t have one but everyone else does.

Mayson and Cole each have a candy themed calendar and also a Lego advent where they get to build something each day. And yes Mayson can eat the candy even in his android verses. He’s special like that.

All the other kids (Connor, Carter, Niles, Neilos, Ava) got one advent calendar each and it’s a cheap chocolate one. Not that they will complain. Chocolate is chocolate. Hank just couldn’t afford anything more with five kids and all the gifts he needed to buy.

Stockings

Lana’s stocking contains: A tooth brush, a loofah, a bottle of bubble bath, body spray (glittery), Lip gloss, shower gel, a hair brush, a peppermint stick, two packs of fruit snacks, 4 boxes of mini goldfish, a container of silly putty, star shaped bath bombs, Reese’s pieces in a plastic candy cane, Hershey’s kisses in a plastic candy cane, a sugar cookie flavored chocolate bar, a candy cane flavored chocolate bar.

Sarah got mostly things that Lana needed and hygiene type of things. But also got some snacks and a few pieces of candy. She was thinking practical with both the stocking and gifts.

Mayson’s stocking contains: A container of silly putty, candy cane flavored pop rocks, a mini pack of Oreos, a unicorn coloring book, glitter crayons, a rainbow shaped note book, several Christmasy pencils, a holiday themed mad libs, a mermaid themed bath bomb, a sugar cookie flavored chocolate bar, a mini box of gum balls, a new tooth brush, a would you rather game book that is themed to Christmas, a cookies and cream chocolate bar shaped like a snow man, a Recess’s candy cane filled with candies, large glow sticks, glow necklaces, a glow ball, strawberry scented bubble bath, small containers of play dough, a unicorn paddle ball and a handful of mini chocolates.

Hank likes to go over board in everything when he gives gifts. But he does likes to get things the kids need as well as things they will like. Some hygiene and bathroom things, some creative things, and a little bit okay kind of a lot of treats.

Cole’s stocking contains: Candy cane flavored pop rocks, a mini container of play dough, a space themed coloring book, cosmic colored crayons, a mad libs Christmas themed book (different than Mayson’s), a snowman shaped note book, several Christmas themed pencils a Christmas themed bath bomb, a mini package of Oreos, sugar cookie flavored chocolate bar, a space themed paddle bar,a new tooth brush, a mini box of gumballs, large chunky glow sticks, long glow stick necklaces, a would you rather book themed to Christmas (different from Mayson’s), a glow stick ball, a cookies and cream chocolate bar shaped like a snow man, a Recess’s candy cane filled with candies, blue silly putty, and a handful of mini chocolates. 

As said above, Hank goes over board with gift giving. Even stockings he does a lot and stuffs them full. He also tries to make things equal between both Cole and Mayson.

Ava’s stocking contains: A new pair of pink socks, a new tooth brush, a new hair brush, candy cane flavored pop rocks, a mini pack of Oreo cookies, a reindeer shaped chocolate, a small box of gold fish crackers, chocolate covered pretzels,a recess cane cane filled with chocolates. new gloves, a child friendly nail polish set, a unicorn pop it toy, a coloring book, some play dough, a gloved bubbles set, some fruit snacks, a mini key chain plush toy, some princess figurine toys, and a handful of mini chocolates.

While Hank does tend to go over board with gift giving the youngest child of his, toddler Ava, did get less than the boys. Just because while she’s lil she doesn’t need that much.

Connor’s stocking contains: Winter snowy themed Cheetos, candy cane flavored pop rocks, a mini box of bubble gum, a reindeer shaped chocolate, a new pair of winter gloves, a reeses candy cane, chocolate covered pretzels, a charger for his tablet, a back scratcher, a mini pack of Oreo cookies, fruit snacks, Hershey kisses in a candy cane, candy flavored chap stick (he has a sweet tooth), a Christmas themed squishy toy, a new tooth brush, a LED light for a bathroom sink and a handful of mini chocolates. 

As the oldest in the family Connor got more things in his stocking and Hank was fully able to go over board but it was also kind of hard to buy for the pre teen. Hank tried to get the twins the same things and or just similar. There is a lot of treats and snacks because what kid wouldn’t want that? And each one also got things they need and also something to add some fun to their shared bathroom.

Carter’s stocking contains: Winter snowy themed Cheetos, candy cane flavored pop rocks, a mini box of bubble gum, a reindeer shaped chocolate, a new pair of winter gloves, a reeses candy cane, chocolate covered pretzels, a charger for his tablet, a back scratcher, a mini pack of Oreo cookies, fruit snacks, Hershey kisses in a candy cane, fruit smoothie chap stick, a Christmas themed squishy toy, a new tooth brush, a LED light for a bathroom shower, some body spray, and a handful of mini chocolates.

Again Hank tried to make the twins stockings as equal as possible. They got all the same things just variations to fit their likes.He also added some body spray to Carter’s. Carter is super into axe body spray.

Niles’ stocking contains:  A mini pack of oreos, candy cane flavored pop rocks, a mini box of gumballs, a candy cane filled of reese chocolates, chocolate covered pretzels, new socks, new gloves, a new tooth brush a Uno card game, a round blue and white pop it, a blind bag, a fidget cube, a hand bubbles toy, a reindeer shaped chocolate, some play dough, a calk art book with chalk pens, and a handful of mini chocolates.

Hank got slightly more things for the younger kids. They are still easier to buy for than the pre teens. So there is a lot of toys here but like the rest of the family he also got things they need as well.

Neilos’ stocking contains: a mini pack oreos, candy cane pop rocks, mini bubble gum box, a plastic candy cane of candies reeses of course, chocolate covered pretzels, new socks, new gloves, a blind bag, a fidget cube, a round red and blue pop it toy, a dino bubble glove, a new tooth brush, a reindeer shaped chocolate, a rubber orby squishy toy, a small pack of play dough, a gratitude coloring booking, and a handful of mini chocolates. 

Hank tried to get Niles and Neilos some similar things because while Niles is closer in age with the twins he is Neilos’ little partner in crime. Their stockings are pretty much identical with slight variations for their favorite colors and interests.

Gifts

Earlier this month Lana was told by her ‘mom’ Sarah that Santa wasn’t real. Great I know. Poor Lana is only 7. So there’s no Santa gifts. But Sarah did manage to give Lana a lot of gifts. Out of all my muses she got the most gifts. But sadly it’s all necessity. No toys. Mostly clothes, some bedding, some storage, and a book store gift card.

Lana got: new purple and pink mittens, unicorn bedding and blanket set with pillow cases, a book store gift card, four storage cubes, a gray bear scarf, a purple and pink hat, a pink jacket, two different unicorn pajama onsise one in blue one in white, a blue butterfly shirt, two pairs of pink leggings, a blue jacket, a red shirt, gold glittery slip on shoes, a gray hat, blue jeans, gray jeans, black jeans, butterfly leggings, two coats one pink and one purple, several under shirts, multiple packs of socks, multiple packs of underwear, a robe, and a girls body book as even though she is a it young Sarah does want to try to start talking about that stuff but doesn’t know how.

Hank went over board on gifts but he did take it back a bit this year than in years past. Both Mayson and Cole still believe in Santa and Hank goes along with that magic. Some of these gifts he got them will be tags as from Santa.

Cole got: Gray jeans, a new set of pajamas (onsies with robots on it), a soccer bag with special compartments for a ball and shoes, a color changing and reflective soccer ball, a space themed robe, star themed heelys, a book, a microscope with several accessories and carrying case, led color changing  lights with remote control, a new gray coat, a red plaid shirt, new socks, new pack of underwear, and a growing up book. He asked for Nerf guns and new darts. He had one and it ‘went missing’ after a few head shot incidents. Hank isn’t so sure about it but hey Santa brought it what are you gonna do? Cole got a duel nerf gun set so him and Mayson can play together, a target set with an electronic score tracker (hopefully it will cut down on how much the boys head shot each other and dad), and a super pack of a lot of darts.

Hank also likes to give experiences gifts something big for the family or trips one on one with him and that child. Cole’s experience gift is a day out to an indoor ropes course.

Mayson got: A rainbow unicorn robe, a sand art creation set, a unicorn over night duffel bag, a few pairs of sicks, two pink leggings, a pink hoodie, new underwear, a purple jacket, blue unicorn pajamas, a doctors play set, new dirt bike safety equipment, a fiction book, a book around growing up/puberty/emotions/and sex, and a play chiefs hat and apron. He asked for an easy bake oven and a pair of heely shoes in a specific print. He got both from Santa and also got a 3 pack refill pack for the easy bake that comes with 3 different foods.

Mayson’s experience gift from Hank is a trip to a trampoline park.

Connor got: new headphones in black, a book store gift card, a back pillow, a new shirt in blue, new black jeans, his favorite snack food in full size this is lays sour cream and onion, he also got a set of infinity flipping rings, and a preteen guide book type thing. He asked for heelys and a nerf gun set. He got a two pack of nerf guns along with darts and got blue heelys in the style he specified.

His experience gift from Hank is to an amusement park in the state. This is the same gift all kids in the family are getting. it’s a family gift.

Carter got: his favorite snack in a full size which is gold fish, a book store gift card, a preteen body guide growing up type book, a new set of headphones in blue, a back pillow in dark blue, a blue long sleeved shirt in a hoodie, a pair of black heelys, a puzzle ball, and a pair of navy dress pants. He asked for a smart watch and that is what he got. His experiences gift, like Connor’s is to an amusement park.

Niles got: his favorite snack which is crispy Ritz in cheese flavor, a book store gift card, a new pair of head phones in white, a black turtle neck, new dark jeans, a geodes exploration kit, and a pair of white and gray heelys. His asked for the heelys and also a squish mallow plush. He got a cat in pajamas. His experiences gift from Hank is once again part of a family gift that all the kids in the family is getting. A trip to an amusement park.

Neilos got: his favorite snack which is white fudge covered pretzels, a new pair of headphones in green, a book store gift card, a gray and striped shirt, a pair of light blue jeans, a fuzzy blue back pillow, a bottle rocket launching kit, and a pair of orange and black heelys. He is the only kid other than his little sister to not ask for the heelyis but since he was older enough for them Hank bought them since all the other boys were getting them. Neilos asked for a squish mallow and a dream light night light pet. He got both of these. The squish mallow is a koala in pajamas and the plush night light toy is a green triceratops.

His experiences gift from Hank is once again part of a family gift that all the kids in the family is getting. A trip to an amusement park.

Last but not least finally the last thing to cover. The youngest Anderson in select verses. A toddler Ava at age four. Ava got: some apple flavored puffed treats which she loves and she got a whole baf to herself this time its a healthier treat too as a plus, bath coloring balls that are sorta bath bomb ish, a pair of new pink head phones which are her first pair, a new hood and matching pair of leggings, a ABCs water wow book, a unicorn pillow pet, and a princess dress up set. The toddler asked for a baby alive that could really drink and wet. That is the exact baby doll she got from, of course, Santa. Her experiences gift from Hank is once again part of a family gift that all the kids in the family is getting. A trip to an amusement park.

A post about Christmas at the Andersons! Traditions, what Hank and Santa got Cole and Mayson for Christmas, all that fun stuff!

I planned on doing human kid Connor, Carter, Niles and Ava too but then I didn't. We'll see if I manage to do something before Christmas. But considering I planned to make this post on December 1st and here I am on Christmas Eve…

Traditions:

Each boy has an advent calendar that they have for the month. This year Mayson got one with rubber ducks and Cole got a dinosaur one.

On Christmas Eve the family goes around driving looking at all the holiday lights.

Also on Christmas Eve the kids get PJs and something the family can do together. This year the boys got green and white pajamas and the family gift was a few packs of playing cards as all the ones the family had are missing cards. They also got the game of life. A classic board game that they didn't have in their collection.

For wrapping paper for all the gifts, christmas eve and Christmas, Hank likes a mix of all kinds of patterns and colors. His taste in shirts can give you an idea of some of the kinds he buys. But he also buys solid prints too. The gifts from Santa are wrapped in Santa faced papers.

Stockings:

In some houses Santa fills stockings with things like new toothbrushes. But not in the Anderson house. It's all goodies in here. They are wrapped in the same Santa paper as the big gifts under the tree. While the kids do get some candy 'Santa' likes to avoid sugary treats since Cole is diabetic and Mayson is an android.

He tries to keep things even between the kids with slight differences based on their likes. Peeking out of the top of each stocking is a new plush friend.

Mayson's stocking:

Gifts:

Hank likes to keep the numbers even between the boys' gifts. But the types will vary based on their needs, wants, and interests.

He tries not to spoil his kids but likes to buy gifts for people. Kids on Christmas morning really warm his heart. To help him control himself he not only gets what the boys asked for or would like but also an array of things they need and educational items. Things more than just toys. Creative items, things to do together, books, clothes, blankets, etc. But there's still fun to be had!

Mayson's Gifts:

A new bike! A normal bicycle unlike Maysons which is basically a motorcycle.. His bike is black blue and white. And of course he got a new set of safety gear in blue to go with it. Helmet is the big one but also got elbow, knee and wrist braces. Cole needed a new bike he outgrew his old one.

✎ + Haley vs. Aurora!Aubrey

send me ✎ + prompt & i’ll write you a 3-5 sentence (lol imagine) drabble.

Stepping outside was like stepping onto the battlefield. The ‘warriors of light’ as Aurora liked to call them were waiting but they had no idea the storm that was heading their way. They weren’t all blessed with magic powers, but they had some of the greatest fighters, the most brilliant minds, and some damn good team work. Most important of all, they had each other. For the strength of the wolf was always the pack.

While the others began to engage in their own individual battles, Haley stood before the image of her older sister. It felt all sorts of wrong that she would be forced to duke it out with her own blood but Astrid was right. It could only be her, she was a Bennett. They were evenly matched in power and if Haley could wear her out enough, they could figure out how to eradicate this evil bitch from Aubrey.

“Boy, you have to be a special kind of stupid to go after a Bennett,” she muses as they size one another up. “The name inspires respect for a reason and you’ve spat in the face of that. Now you’re going to pay for it when I kick your ass straight back to the pit from whence you came.”

“You’ve got your facts wrong. It was your mother who spat in the face of such a powerhouse name,” Aurora argues. “She went the same way of the Rolland’s by sleeping with the enemy. Now the bloodline is tainted.”

A flash of amber shone in Haley’s eyes as she dared to speak of her mother like that. And her father for that matter. She didn’t know their story or their character. “The only thing tainted is your backwards ass view of the world,” she snaps back. “Now how about you shut the hell up so I can show you how massively you’ve fucked up.”

Aurora just chuckled. “With pleasure.”

As Haley readies herself for a magic heavy battle, Aurora wastes no time conjuring up fire in her palm and sending a ball of flames hurdling toward her. Just barely avoiding it hitting square to the face, it grazes the side of her cheek as she cries out from the burn. A second was rapidly speeding toward her but she quickly threw her arms out in front of her and blasted the fireball, the flames burning out and dying.

Barely taking a moment to recover, she launches into her next move. Finding a rock nearby, it levitates up into the air as she pulls her arm back as if she were pitching a ball and fires it forward. Aurora was quick to deflect though, closing her fist as the rock exploded into smaller fragments before hitting the target and littered the ground. Summoning up more, she sent a flurry of them raining down on her, two or three catching her in the face as the rest were blown apart in the air.

While Aurora dealt with her mini-meteor shower, Haley pulls her hands back preparing to send forward another blast of power. That was when a sudden pain started to prickle in her head and she knew exactly what that was even having never experienced it. Crying out in pain, she fell to her knees clutching her throbbing head earning a triumphant smirk from Aurora. The headache was growing increasingly more agonizing when it suddenly stopped. The smile fell from Aurora’s lips then as she kept trying to crank it up to no avail.

Haley, recovering from the brain attack, looks to her left where she found Connor was muttering under his breath some sort of counter-attack to shield her from it. Briefly meeting his gaze, she turned her attention back to Aurora as she got back to her feet. Throwing one arm forward and then the next, she fired forces of concetrated energy to hit her opponant. One smacks square in the chest sending her tumbling back a few feet. She manages to block the second with a wave of her hand. 

Advancing on her while she recovered, Aurora was quicker; clenching her fist and pulling down. Some vines swiftly dropped down from a tree near Haley, surprising her as the bottoms wrapped firmly around her ankles and yanked her up into the air with a shout. She was left dangling there upside down as Aurora found her footing again and hit her with a force of power that swung her so hard, the vines snapped and she hit the ground hard several feet away. Her body ached from the impact, but she was quick to deflect a second attack as she righted herself again.

It continued like that for some time. The two women hurling spells and using nature against one another in the ultimate battle. After being blasted off her feet and hitting the ground again, Haley rolled over with a groan. Her bones ached to their very core, blood pouring from her nose and her ears. She was growing tired, but she persisted. She had to because this was Aubrey. Her sister was trapped inside somewhere and she needed to be saved.

Climbing back to her feet slowly with some effort, Haley limped as she faced Aurora again as the other woman didn’t appear nearly as worn out. There was something smug and sadistic in the way she smiled then; like she felt she had already won. Aurora’s arms shot forward again then, sending out a huge blast of power toward her as Haley did the same, the two forces of Bennett magic meeting in the middle.

It was a struggle for dominance then. Haley kept her arms out concentrating all her power and energy on shoving the force of it back toward her. More blood began dripping from her nose and ears in protest of the straining. She was starting to slip and Aurora was winning. Then something incredible happened as Noah came up beside her, apparently leading an army.

“You’ve got this, baby,” a voice said from her other side.

Looking over, Haley recognized an older woman she’d seen many times in her mother’s old pictures. “Great Grams,” she murmurs in complete awe as Sheila smiles and nods once. It wasn’t just her either, it was a bunch of them. An army of Bennett ancestors had come to back her up and save Aubrey. “But how?”

“The Prince,” Great Grams answered, needing no more explanation than that. They’d been summoned by Tristan. “The Bennett line stands behind you, Haley. So you focus on beating that energy back and teaching that old bag a lesson ‘bout messing with a Bennett witch.”

With a nod, Haley was strength and determination renewed as she shot her arms forward again and sent the build up of energy back toward Aurora. There was some visible strain on her end too now as sweat beaded on Aubrey’s forehead, but she too persisted as the two women gave it their all.

Somewhere to her left, she heard Connor shouting something to her. Briefly glancing his way, she caught something that sounded like ‘get the necklace’. Then it hit her: the necklace. A small nod that she understood him, she strained harder and gave a giant push forward and it was Aurora who slipped. The energy shot back toward her, the brunt of it knocking the necklace straight off her neck and the remaining sending Aurora falling back onto the ground.

Her energy spent with that, Haley collapsed to her knees exhausted as Anikaia stepped in then, picking up the necklace off the ground as she began to taunt Aurora, who looked completely horrified for someone who had been so confident in her ‘godly power’ before. There was a very loud scream then, one from Anikaia and another from Aurora as a blinding bright light followed by billowing black smoke came from the necklace as it exploded on impact.

Aurora collapsed to her knees now, but the eyes that met hers shortly afterward were most certainly Aubrey’s.

“Hales?”

“Aubrey.”

The sisters smiled at one another tiredly and then the world went dark as both passed out.

He’s a bit clueless. Connor has knowledge on the fact that human woman menstruate but that’s it. He just knows it happens but doesn’t know anything about them. And besides, despite becoming deviant and being in a relationship, it never crosses his mind.

His scanners would pick up traces of blood coming from you and he would panic and stare at her with worry and confusion. Were you injured? If you were hurt why didn’t you say anything to him?

He will pull you aside and ask if you’re alright. You’re not sure why he’s suddenly so concerned. Your questioning gaze prompts him to say that his scanners told him you were bleeding. Goes on a mini rant about how if you’re hurt you should him straight away to receive medical attention.

You can’t help but to laugh causing him to stop rambling instantly. Why were you laughing? He didn’t find the fact that you could be injured very funny.

Gets a bit embarrassed when you tell him that you’re just on your period and that he doesn’t need to worry. *Insert gif of him saying “oh”*

My top 10 games of 2018

Disclaimer: If a game isn’t on here i didn’t play it or watch it or care about it at all.

10) Detroit: Become human. Fuck it, honestly it got something out of me, the gameplay is literally as dull and as predictable as david cage games have always been but the multiple paths did genuinely interest me, and Connor as a character was genuinely one of my favorites in any video game, i absolutely acknowledge all the flaws the game has, but even beyond that, it did get a good enough reaction from me to keep it just barely on this list

9) Super Smash Bros. Ultimate This is a given, if you have played smash, its on your top 10 games of the year, i'm only putting it this low to get it out of the way. fantastic fucking game will never stop playing until the next one

8)Celeste Celeste is this...rarity. i'm putting it on my list, having never played the game myself. yes, i haven't touched the game at all, and yet despite that, i've watched numerous playthroughs, countless speedruns, listened to the OST quite a number of times. the art direction and style, the platforming puzzles, the sense of accomplishment people get from finally getting past those tricky puzzles, just observing this game was one of the biggest treats i've ever had this year, and it'd no doubt be higher on this list had i actually played it, but i HAVE to give celeste the respect and recognition it deserves. i feel like i'd be doing the game a disservice not to.

7) Starlink: Battle for atlas Definitely a game that you can argue against for being on this list, but i have a massive bias towards space combat. like fuck if that one space section from halo reach had its own entire game i'd fucking play that for ages. Starlink's biggest strength is its characters, having some of the best character dialog i've seen from a game in a long time, constantly making me laugh, smile, and just enjoy my time overall. the gameplay holds up too....even if the starlink system is a bit scummy for people who aren't ready to shill out for the rest of the figures and models. (ps buy the digital version you skip all that) Starlink's biggest weakness was definitely the repetition degradation, but even despite that, i had a bundle of fun with this game this year and i'd love to get more space combat games like this

6) God of War This was probably the most all around solid game this year. EVERYTHING about it is solid, from the combat, to the visuals, the story and the voice acting, it all keeps you sucked in and wanting to play more and its ONLY until the later parts of the game where you might notice a few cracks in the progression and difficulty, but as a whole, this game was absolutely worth all the hype it got and i honestly can't wait to see where this series goes next

5) Dragon Ball FighterZ The best fighting game of the year, Dragon ball fighterZ is what happens when you take one of the most popular franchises on the planet and hand the rights to it off to a development team of incredibly talented people who are also fans themselves. the visuals are probably the best i've seen in a fighting game ever, from the animatations, the cinematics, to the incredible attention to detail in referencing the source material. the gameplay, as a 3v3 assist fighter, is the most fun i've had in a fighting games since UMvC3, with the combos all being incredibly fun to figure out and pull out in a real match. like everything, i hold reservations on the incredibly bland story mode that only offers anything substantial in cutscenes and nothing else, but otherwise, DBFZ was far and away  the best fighting games released this year

4) Spyro: Reignited This one is cheating, as the games packed in this trilogy came out a long time ago, but its clear that just like the N-sane trilogy, the passion and care to recreated and reimagine these old games cannot be understated. i never personally played the spyro trilogy back in the day, so getting the opportunity to do so here was a treat, the games are fantastic and even though just like crash, there are some archaic dumb design decisions still in place, the core design of everything to this day holds up as a hole, and i'm glad these older games and franchises are getting a chance to rise up once again

3) Marvel's Spiderman i'll admit, I don't actually own this game, but i did recently get the chance to mess around with it for a few hours, and all though that few hours was nowhere near the ability to truly give the game its full due, god FUCKING DAMN was those few hours incredibly fun. i thought i was over the arkham asylum styled combat, but the spiderman twist to the combat refreshed that joy i got back in the batman days, and the web swinging oh GOD the web swinging was SO satisfying, it feels wrong to put the game so high up having only played a portion of it, but honestly? everyhting felt so impressive i have to give the credit for at least the first few hours cause damn was it good

2) Night in the woods This game was not released originally in 2018, i am aware, but fuck you i played it this year and it got its nintendo switch port this year so nyeh ;PNight in the woods FUCKED me up. this game is more or less all story, its like a visual novel with the occasional mini game here or there, but instead of clicking to progress you kinda just, wander around where you need to go, and that just makes the game all the more better, because its both yours, and mae's story in that aspect. and oh man speaking of story, ever wanted to have feels pulled from you you never thought possible? fuck you play this game jesus H christ its so good ahhhhhhh

1) Monster Hunter World I think of all the games released this year, you could argue MHW isn't the best with probably some of the more notable things people hate in games being a part of it, but honestly? i can't deny it, MHW was the game i had THE most fun with, the grinding felt completely irrelevant because DOING the grind was playing the game, and the game was stupidly fun, the story, while nothing special, helped push along a sense of progression to the played that felt much needed from previous games, many of the things from previous MH games that were very complicated (many for no real reason) were toned down and became easier to understand while still retaining much of the pleasure of figuring the systems out. the variety of monsters may not be as good as previous titles, but the monster that are here, and the free updates that kept adding more monsters meant more content to come and more to enjoy of this overall fantastic fucking game. so good i bought it twice
