LOCATION: Near the stage at Midnight Mirage CLOSED for @samarmando
After finally deciding that since he'd put in the effort to go to Midnight Mirage he might as well go in, Kai had figured it would be best if he tried to fly under the radar. There were people who would likely want to talk to him about things he would really rather not talk about, and he wanted to do all he could to avoid that. But, as he made his way through the crowd, trying to get to the bar, he spotted Sam and he felt his heart sink. He hadn't seen him since the day he'd left Kai's apartment, and hadn't had any communication with him since their texts a few days ago. Part of him wanted to go over and talk to him, but he really didn't know what to say. So, he decided that for now it would be best to just keep his distance.
After getting to the bar and ordering a drink, Kai downed the liquid in one shot, then turned to make his way back through the crowd of people to find somewhere out of the way to sit. However, as he turned, he bumped right into Sam. For a moment, he was stunned, and it took him a moment to even form a single word. "Hi." He said, then almost immediately kicked himself for it. "Uh, sorry, I should really watch where I'm going."

LOCATION: Just off the dance floor at Midnight Mirage CLOSED for @mystycfics (Anitta)
It had been a successful night and Atlas was happy for Noah that the re-opening had drawn such a good crowd. It had been a long time since Atlas had been to a party like this, and even though he had spent a lot of time making sure the staff that he had supplied for the night were doing okay, he was still enjoying himself. Having just returned from a quick trip to The Nouveau Table to grab a couple of things that were running low, Atlas spotted his older sister just shy of the dance floor. "It feels almost criminal that you're not out there showing them all how it's really done." He said, motioning towards where people were dancing. "How is it that you've found yourself simply standing and watching from the sidelines?"

LOCATION: Near the stage at Midnight Mirage CLOSED for @mystycfics (Willow)
Ria was on her way backstage to start getting ready for their set when she spotted Willow nearby. "Well, shit, how could I ever want anyone else in my bed when you're here looking like this?" She said, reaching out and run her fingertips over the fabric of Willow's dress. "You look amazing, more than amazing. God, I have such a hot best friend." Pulling Willow into a hug, Ria smiled as she let her go again. "You're gonna watch the set, right? Please tell me you are."

LOCATION: Banks's place CLOSED for @glitchfms (Banks)
When Banks had asked Eden to help him with his outfit for the masquerade at Midnight Mirage, she'd jumped at the chance. The idea that Banks had sounded amazing, and she wanted to do what she could to help him pull it together. So, on the day of the event, a few hours before things were set to start, she'd made her way over to his place with everything she thought she would need to pull the look together. "You really don't have any colour in this closet at all, do you?" She asked as she sifted through his clothes.

LOCATION: Somewhere near the bar at Midnight Mirage CLOSED for @counterfcits (Arden)
Kai had been absent from work for the better part of a week, maybe two, and he was hoping to avoid anyone who might've noticed. He lingered around the bar, keeping an eye out for people who he knew would ask questions that he didn't really want to answer. When he spotted Arden, he was about to make a beeline for the door, but then had to stop himself because she had definitely already seen him. So, instead, he stayed where he was standing, waiting with a drink in hand for her to make her way over to him.

LOCATION: The dance floor at Midnight Mirage CLOSED for @fadedstarsfms (Adelaide)
Atlas was pleased with how the evening had been going so far. It was Noah's event, but Atlas still had some skin in the game since Nouveau Table had been tasked with providing the food for the reopening. So, he'd spent most of the night thus far making sure the few staff members he'd signed up to help out had everything under control, checking that all of the food was up to standard, and making sure that people were having a good time. Finally, he found himself some free time, and that's when he spotted his younger sister. "Addie, I must say you don't look nearly as monstrous as normal. Would you care to dance with me? Or is Rowen nearby waiting to swoop you up?"

LOCATION: Near the bar at Midnight Mirage CLOSED for @ravensrevcnge (Aspen)
Ria was starting the evening with a drink. She'd left Sam somewhere across the room to go and get them something, but on her way towards the bar she spotted Aspen and knew she had to go over and say hello to them. "Hey, you. You look dapper as hell." She greeted them with a smile, giving them a once over. "You're kind putting the rest of us to shame, which is rude as hell, so you're lucky I love you." Ria teased, nudging their arm playfully. "You're gonna save me a dance later, right? We could recreate that epic dance number we did at prom. Think you still remember all the moves? I think this party could use a couple of professionals like us to show 'em how it's done."

"Maybe. Or, maybe I'm just trying to make sure that you know there's always a place for you at Nouveau if things don't work out here. But, because I could never admit to that, I suppose we'll never really know." Atlas chuckled, shaking his head. He wasn't really out here trying to poach Noah's staff, he would never do that. But, he'd been really impressed with the work that he'd seen Maia do for the event, so he'd be a fool to not at least put the feelers out there. "Well, coming from you, I will happily take the praise."
He looked over in her direction briefly as she spoke. "That certainly sounds ominous. If you did want to talk about it, I've been told I'm a particularly good listener. I think it comes from having grown up with sisters." Growing up, Atlas had been more sensitive to things than his father would've liked, but that had never been something that worried him. Once they were both in the car, Atlas started the engine and pulled away from the curb. "Well, I don't see why we can't take the scenic route." He said with a grin, turning the car away from downtown and towards the outer suburbs.
"So you're saying I'm special then?" Maia said with a smirk and a raise of her eyebrows, he certainly knew how to make a woman feel special. But she smiled, knowing full well that he was a lot older than anyone could ever imagine. "Well I think you deserve the praise and much more."
She shrugged slightly, not even knowing where to begin. "Honestly not as much as I hoped but you definitely don't need to hear about all that." Because after all Maia didn't even want to think about it. She was actively trying not to think about it. When they got to the car her eyes widened, trying to not let her jaw drop at how nice of a car it was. She gladly got in the passenger seat and quickly tried to admired the car before Atlas got in. Always appreciating the finest things in life. "I live in an apartment on main street downtown. But honestly I'm in no hurry to get home."

LOCATION: Near the dance floor at Midnight Mirage CLOSED for @counterfcits (Lennon)
"You look absolutely beautiful!" Eden said as she approached Lennon. She didn't know the other woman well yet, but they had been acquainted thanks to Arthur. "I love your dress, and your shoes! The sparkles are amazing." She smiled widely as she took in Lennon's appearance. "Are you having a good night so far? I'm sure you have a bunch of people lined up wanting to ask you for a dance. I imagine more than a few people will be leaving tonight with broken hearts."

LOCATION: Outside Midnight Mirage CLOSED for @ravensrevcnge (Kara)
He wasn't sure why he'd come. Well, maybe he did, but he didn't want to admit it to himself. Kai hadn't been himself lately, he'd made a lot of bad decisions, he'd done bad things, he'd hurt people he cared about. And he didn't know how to fix any of it. Part of him wondered if he even wanted to. It would be so much easier to just give into the dark urges that the Dark Magic gave him. But he was hesitant. Standing outside of Midnight Mirage, he wondered if he should actually go inside. There were going to be people in there that he would be better off avoiding. But, he was already there. So, instead of making a decision, he stalled, waiting just outside the entrance, dark eyes searching for answers in the sky. When he heard someone approach, he pulled his attention back to the present, eyes landing on Kara. "Well, well, Detective. You scrub up nice."

"I'm no rockstar, I'm just the singer." Ria shrugged, though there was a slight smugness to her tone. When she was on stage, she really did feel like a rockstar, like that was the place where she belonged the most. On stage, all that mattered was performing. She didn't have to worry about her responsibilities, she could be be. And she loved that. It was her favourite feeling in the world. "Oh, I knew it. You're always working some angle, aren't you?" She laughed, shaking her head. "I'm afraid you've got some stiff competition. Carlos made me a sandwich today without me even having to ask. So, you've got to try and top that somehow."
Ria shrugged her shoulders and nodding her head knowingly. "Not a chance. Someone has to keep you humble. Who else will you listen to if not me? Huh? No one." Reaching out, she patted his cheek softly when he stopped rubbing it. Things were always easy with Asher, and that was something that Ria had always appreciated. He didn't mind her nagging, and when she was bossy. When she'd taken on the role as his big sister, he'd embraced it. He would always be family, and she loved him like he was her blood.
Between her dress and her heels, Ria was having a hard time not falling over, so she hoped that Asher was prepared to keep her on her feet as they danced. The glamour of the evening was a little out of her comfort zone, but she was always up for feeling like she had things together. "You're so right. There's nothing wrong with pretending for just one night." She agreed, nodding her head. "They're not gonna know what hit them."
She let Asher lead the way, holding onto him carefully for balance. The second he started dancing, Ria couldn't stop laughing. He'd always been in tune with music, and that showed in the way he moved. She did her best to keep up, but she couldn't come close to matching him. Still, she let him take the lead, letting him spin and dip and move as he wanted, just glad that she could be a part of this with him.
Asher grinned at Ria’s teasing, the familiarity of it warming him up. “Hey, I’m just making sure you know how much of a rockstar you are,” he replied with a playful wink. “But now that you mention it, maybe I am trying to butter you up for something. Could be a favor, or maybe I’m just working on securing my spot as your favorite little brother.”
He let out a dramatic gasp when she pinched his cheek. “Wow, and here I thought you were gonna let me bask in all the compliments tonight. But nah, you gotta knock me down a peg, huh?” His smile widened as he rubbed his cheek for effect, enjoying the banter.
Her comment about glamour being overrated made Asher nod. “Totally. Half of this is just pretending we’ve got it all figured out.” He gave her hand a gentle squeeze as she took it, feeling that sense of unspoken support between them. “But for tonight, let’s pretend we’re the most glamorous people here. Come on, let’s show these people what real style looks like.”
Asher guided Ria onto the dance floor with a confident ease, his steps fluid and natural as the music pulsed around them. He didn’t hesitate once they found their space; his body moved instinctively to the rhythm, and it was clear he was in his element. Every motion was smooth, controlled, and effortless—spins, footwork, and subtle dips all woven together with the grace of someone who knew exactly how to let the music take over.
He playfully matched Ria’s energy, twirling her lightly and keeping the atmosphere light and fun. When the beat picked up, Asher’s moves became more intricate—sharp turns and spins that showcased his skill without showing off. He made sure to keep Ria involved, catching her in moments of connection with easy smiles and laughter, guiding her through the flow like they’d been dance partners for years.

LOCATION: Near the edge of the dance floor at Midnight Mirage CLOSED for @deadmanstoefm
Atlas hadn't keep as close track of the Moretti descendants as Adelaide had, but he'd spent enough time talking about them with her to recognise Thomas almost immediately. One of the current descendants of the Moretti-Ravenlock line, his own distant kin. He couldn't help but to go up and at least introduce himself, even if the man didn't know who he was. "Great night tonight, isn't it?" He asked as he walked up next to Thomas, holding out a beer for him before taking a sip of his own. "I don't know that we've met. I'm Atlas Moretti. Glad you could make it to the party, it's sure to be a fun one."

LOCATION: At the bar at Midnight Mirage CLOSED for @nathanielwolfsong
After the first half of Ghost Under Oath's set, Ria had headed towards the bar to get herself a drink. Water, only water. Technically she was working, so she wanted to keep a clear head. When she saw Nathan, she went up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder, then appeared next to him on the opposite side. "You clean up good. I'm impressed. I don't think I've seen you this dressed up in years." She teased, nudging him gently. "You having a good time? Don't think I didn't noticed you weren't front and center during the set. I'm only mildly hurt."

LOCATION: Outside Eden's house before going to Midnight Mirage CLOSED for @mourningreveries (Arthur)
After helping Banks get ready, Eden had hurried back to her house so that she could get herself all ready for the evening. She was beyond excited that instead of just running into Arthur there, they were actually going together. Though she wasn't sure that it would technically be classed as a date, she was certainly treating it like one, and she was excited to spend the evening with him.
Once she was dressed, she put the final touches on her hair and makeup before making sure that she could fit everything she needed in the purse that she'd bought to match her dress. Hearing a knock on the door, her eyes darted in the direction of the entrance to her small house. She took a quick breath to steady her jittered, grabbed her mask and headed to the door. Opening the door, she walked down the steps towards Arthur. "Hi!" She greeted him enthusiastically. "You look so handsome!"

Beau's comments made Eden smile because she knew that he really meant what he said. Beau had a kind heart, she'd always known that, and that was why she cherished their friendship so much. In Beau, Eden felt like she had someone who understood her in a way that other people didn't. Her kindness was often mistaken for weakness, but Beau had never made her feel that way. "He makes me feel very special. More special than I've felt in a long time."
In the past, Eden had been unlucky in the romance department, and she was finally starting to feel like her luck was changing. And it seemed that she wasn't the only one. Beau was the happiest that she had ever seen him, and she hoped that luck would continue for the both of them.
When Beau squeezed her hand, Eden let out a soft laugh and followed him to the dance floor. "Let's show them how it's done, Wolfsong." She said in agreement, nodding her head as she started moving with him to the music. With anyone else, Eden might've felt uncomfortable, out of place, but with Beau she felt completely at ease. He was a good friend, she trusted him, and she was glad that they could share a dance together like this.
She giggled as he spun her around, easily falling into step with him, almost as if she was able to know what he was going to do next. It was easy, and it was fun, and Eden was genuinely enjoying herself. For the first time in a long time, it felt like almost everything was perfect, that everything was happening as it should. She wanted to hold onto that for as long as she could.
"I knew you would. You've always been a man of your word." She smiled up at him, gratitude and fondness in her expression. They way they moved, it was as if they'd practiced. It was nice to be able to enjoy this moment with her friend, and Eden couldn't stop smiling.
Beau's grin widened at Eden’s words, nodding along. "Well, he’s a lucky guy too. You deserve someone who makes you feel special." He said it with an easy warmth, fully believing it. Seeing her happy made him feel good, especially knowing she hadn’t always had that kind of support around her.
"You’re right. We definitely do deserve it." Beau’s tone was full of agreement, but with a little bit of pride for both of them. He could tell Eden really meant it, and it made him glad to hear her recognize that about herself.
When she took his hand, Beau squeezed her hand lightly as they stepped towards the dance floor. "Let's show these people how it’s done, Monroe." Beau led Eden to the dance floor with a confident, easy smile, gently guiding her into a comfortable rhythm. The music was soft, and the sway of their movements matched it perfectly. He held her hand lightly in his, the other resting just above her waist, keeping the motion slow and simple, just like he promised.
Their steps were relaxed, not trying to impress anyone but simply enjoying the moment together. Beau’s tall frame moved fluidly, guiding Eden with subtle shifts of his body. Every now and then, he’d give her a playful twirl, nothing too fancy, but enough to bring a laugh out of him. The lighting on the dance floor cast a warm glow around them, and Beau couldn’t help but chuckle as they found their easy rhythm.
"See? Told you I’d go easy on you," he teased with a grin, their movements synchronized like they’d done this a hundred times before. Beau could feel the simple joy of the moment, no pressure, just two friends enjoying a dance under the soft, ambient lights.
