"Is that Y/N in your phone case, Mingi? 👀" A curious fan's question popped up, causing Mingi's heart to skip a beat. He quickly diverted attention, smoothly transitioning to showcasing some photos he had taken earlier, hoping to deflect any further inquiries about your relationship. But the lingering fear of their secret being exposed lingered, casting a shadow over his facade of composure.

In the aftermath of the live stream revelation, a few hours had passed, and stress gripped your every thought as you dialed Mingi's number. Your heart raced with anticipation as the phone rang, the weight of the situation pressing down on you.

"Mingi, we need to talk," you finally managed, your voice trembling with emotion as you confronted him about the viral video.

He answered after a couple of rings, his voice tense but filled with concern. "Y/N, are you okay? I've been waiting for your call."

Taking a deep breath, you explained the flood of messages and reactions you'd received from fans. "It's everywhere, Mingi. We need to address this."

Mingi sighed heavily on the other end, a mixture of frustration and resignation in his tone. "I know, it's overwhelming. But we can get through this together, Y/N."

Silence hung between you for a moment, the weight of the situation settling heavily on your shoulders until Mingi spoke up again, attempting to lighten the mood. "Hey, at least we won't have to worry about secret dates anymore, right? Silver lining?"

His attempt at humor caught you off guard, and despite the gravity of the situation, you couldn't help but chuckle. "Yeah, I guess that's one way to look at it."

Feeling a sense of relief in the midst of the chaos, you continued talking, sharing your concerns and fears with Mingi. His reassuring words and unwavering support helped ease the tension, reminding you that you weren't alone in this.

"As long as we have each other, we'll be okay," Mingi said softly, his voice filled with sincerity.

i want to record the realization of a dream. last saturday, Ateez performed in São Paulo, the group's first time in Brazil and the group's first concert in a stadium. Ateez took 30k people to Allianz Parque! i have no words to describe how special this day was for me, how special it was to be in their presence. Some things made sense in my life during the show, my connection with Ateez goes beyond admiration. Ateez, thank you for being who you are and how you are. Seonghwa has such a good presence, he's so wonderful. Yunho is so delicate, he was looking like an angel. Yeosang is so energetic and so lively. Hongjoong is without explanation... the energy he has is unreal.

Wooyoung is a sweetheart, he looked a little shy but he was so happy. Mingi and San? ahhh... i cried a lot. they are my bias, San comforts me while Mingi pulls me out. they are wonderful, energetic, lively. San is beautiful, he has a sculptural body hahaha i can't measure Mingi, he's perfect. Jongho is not present on the tour due to a knee problem, he is sorely missed. i cried in all Jongho's lines while he sang, there were 30k of people screaming his name and screaming that they loved him! Ateez promised to come back to Brazil and i will be there for sure.

I am not a ballad girl, so i knew i wouldn't like this song (the only slower ateez song I listen to is mist, but mist is a literal masterpiece)

their vocals are amazing tho, so 07/10 for the talent

this song was such a flashback to bouncy era like this is outlaw lost sister

why are they singing like that in the bridge¿ (heard someone saying they were moaning and now I can't unhear it)

overall it's just a good song, but nothing spectacular like the other songs in the album, so it gets overshadowed easily

SORA: THE 1st MINI ALBUM (2021)

On August 24th, at 6 p.m KST, SORA released her debut mini-album as a soloist "SORA: THE 1st MINI ALBUM" along with the music video for the title track "BOCA". Previously, "SCREAM" had been unveiled as a pre-release music video.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

The promotions on variety shows lasted three weeks, one week for each song: the first one for 'SCREAM', the second one for 'After the bloom (alone)' and the third one for 'BOCA'.

SORA acumulated a total of three wins for her solo debut.

PHYSICAL SALES: 121,505 copies sold in the first week. 304,584 copies sold in the first month (South Korea only).

NOTES & COMMENTS:

The three songs of this mini-album were written by SORA herself. In three tracks, she talks about her own experiences not only regarding her personal life but also refering to the industry.

SORA about "SCREAM": "When I wrote this song, I did it thinking about malicious comments us idols receive constantly. Most of the time we pretend to be just fine, but then we found ourselves on a breaking point due to all the pain we feel."

SORA about "After the bloom (alone)": "Oof... this song has been acumulating dust on my computer since our debut as ATEEZ, it reflects the way I've felt in that time and personal struggles I've experienced. It reflects how scared I was about becoming an adult, I had to face a world and an industry I didn't know. I was scared to lose myself in the process of achieving my dreams. (...) It's a really personal song, and if some of you relate to it... I just want to remind you that the only person that would always be there for you is yourself, no one else.

"After the bloom (alone) BONUS COMMENT!: "I know the lyrics say 'I'm better own my own' and that doesn't mean I'm leaving ATEEZ! So before you start... don't."

SORA about "BOCA": "This track is 'SCREAM's sister. It also talks about haters and malicious comments thrown at us made by people who have empty hearts. It has an important message behind it and I hope people can listen to it and also understand that we are people as well, made of skin, bones, hearts and souls just like you."

SORA wanted people to empathize with idols, that's the reason why she wrote "BOCA" and "SCREAM".

ATEEZ's members Hongjoong and Mingi produced the three songs that integrate this mini-album along with SORA herself, BUDDY, EDEN, LEEZ, OLIV, Ollounder and Peperoni.

The lyrics of those three songs were written by SORA and SORA only.

Her debut was more succesful that she thought it would be, and it was all thanks to ATINY's.

The mini-album wasn't that popular in South Korea but it certainly was in South America. Countries like Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Brazil were the ones that adquired more copies worldwide.
