“Akio,” Toji spoke, his chest rumbling with his words.

“That’s a boy name, Toji,” you turned to look at him, suspicion laced in your features. “Do you even know the gender of our baby?”

“Uh—yea. A girl, right?” he answered based on the way you reacted.

This wasn’t good. He was showing signs of a neglectful parent, just like how he did with his son; you can never imagine yourself as a single mom—and you would stop at nothing to prevent his cycle of absent parenting.

Your daughter would have parents who would do anything, even kill for her, you swore.

And Toji would take that literally.

When he first saw Minami, he had an intangible feeling in his chest, pulse thumping fast and his head grew heavy. It was like having Megumi for the first time, with another woman he loves and a daughter with her.

Toji had forgotten how tiny babies were, especially in his large hands. And the sight of this hulking man slightly crouching as he held his daughter warmed your heart: the look in his eyes spoke volume then, no one would ever dare to hurt his little girl.

When days got to months and bled to years, toddler Minami had finally grown into her character and the two of you are absolutely exhausted trying to take care of her. She was like a burning shell fired out of a circus cannon from the depths of hell, screaming when you don’t let her tear her storybooks apart and obliterating your ears when you take her toys away for throwing them at people.

It’s during moments like this where Toji imagines a life without her (sorry). You’d be spending time date nights alone usually ended with you screaming his name at the backseat of his car. And would he exchange his current life with one without Minami? Absolutely not.

It would mean losing one of his pretty girls in his arm at night, no more tea parties with mom and dad, and he wouldn’t have his personal alarm pasting those small smooches on his cheeks to wake him up (upon mommy’s orders).

He’d rather lose an eardrum or two just to have his emerald-eyed princess welcoming him home with her giggles. He’d rather the world burn than to lose Minami. His south star, the brightest of all just like her mother.

Ranma ½ (2024 TV anime) - PV1

Bow-Less Mari AU info dump time!!

Quick summary as to what this AU is: It revolves around what would happen if Muichiro and Riko died. While Muichiro's death would impact her, Riko's would be her breaking point. Mari would still have some same characteristics, only that uh... It's not the same. And also this is a Yuichiro lives instead AU

As I mentioned before, Mari is 16 around this AU. This may or may not be because so Misaki and Akio would become slayers and be Mari's tsugukos.

Mari was an empty husk when her sister died. She stopped taking care of herself and only focused on training and missions she's assigned to. It was so bad, to the point that she would frequently be sent to the butterfly mansion.

She only started to take care of herself when her aunt took her in. Numerous times, she's been caught over training herself.

Also mentioned in a previous post, Mari is a perfectionist. Well this goes to all AUs in general, but this one is more present and frequent.

Ironically, Mari wouldn't offer Misaki and Akio the same training as for her own. She knew that the training she goes through is risky and she wouldn't want them to go through all that.

The reason why I called it Bow-less Mari AU is cause the bow is basically the thing that keeps her sane and well. Riko's gift was something that meant so much to her. And a bit of a symbolism that Riko was the main root of her growth/maturity.

Even though Riko wasn't there to care for her, her (technically adopted) family was there. Unfortunately, it didn't help with her emotional/mental state but she began smiling more often with them.

The reason why Yuichiro and Mari's relationship is restrained is cause of a huge misunderstanding. Yuichiro thought Mari abandoned both him and Muichiro, and seeing Muichiro grieving over Mari's disappearance broke him.

But despite his anger, deep down, he still cares about Mari. He doesn't show it, but he feels the need to protect her as she's the only person he has left in his life.

Mari's haori is actually different in this AU! well colorwise. It more so represents evening-ish skies.

You would think Mari would be less expressive, but that wouldn't be the case. Mari is actually more emotional, but also short tempered.

Mari hates her attachment issues. She always sworn to herself not to get close to somebody but would always fail no matter what. And if they end up dying, it would worsen her hatred.

One time, during a mission; Mari wasn't able to save an older sibling from a demon attack and it devastated the younger sibling. Mari would feel immense guilt and visited the family for a while, offering her deepest apologies. She still has yet to move on from that (..Well she never moved on from any problems she has...)

Mari sleeps more often. To her, it was a way to escape the harsh reality that she's in and just stay in a headspace where everybody is all fine and dandy.

If Mari ever feels like she's not doing anything with her training, she would harm herself in any way possible as a form of punishment. This may be derived from her mother's actions towards her, only more physically.

Despite her horrible mental state, she still tries to be a good role model for her younger siblings. Surprisingly, Mari's favorite sibling is the youngest child (3 years old by this time).

Because Riko died, Mari's kindness is less...shown, at least towards others. She still remains as the harsh and blunt Mari that she was when she was younger. Although like always, it's a facade to appear stronger. That facade fades when she's around the people she's close to. (Ex. Hiyori)

Unlike original AU Mari, she doesn't know how to cook/clean... But she knows how to do her make-up.

Mari often uses her family name (Minami, the family where she was adopted in) as an advantage for her missions. Frequently, she goes to cities for her missions.

A more detailed explanation for the above. The Minami name was a powerful name, and despite Mari still being referred to as “Kaizumi-sama” and such, she’s legally a Minami.

Funnily enough, Mari is a fashionable girl in this AU. (mainly for her missions AHAHFHDSDHFH)

Mari only lives on to serve her purpose as a demon slayer. If demons were fully eliminated or she ends up retiring, she would kill herself, ultimately deciding her time was up.

Everyone, thank you very much for coming to the opening performance of Star Troupe "ME AND MY GIRL". I am Minami Maito of Senka troupe of Takarazuka Revue.

The world of "ME AND MY GIRL" is a happy production illustrated by different kinds of love. We hope that the audience could enjoy "ME AND MY GIRL" dearly created by 40 members, including [the director] Miki (Akio)-sensei, the staff members, our star troupe members and myself. And for you to be happy, we will cherish every time, and devote our hearts into this.

Working with everyone today, and supporting each other, we'll be all together in this, so please look forward to us before the closing performance comes. Thank you so much today."

Everyone, thank you very much for coming to the closing performance of Star Troupe "ME AND MY GIRL". I am Minami Maito of Senka troupe of Takarazuka Revue.

First of all, I'm very happy that we could finish the closing performance safely, that with everyone’s love and support we could finish the performances, and the days I've been spending with this company of performers and with everyone is firmly imprinted in my heart.

In the past days, many people have come to the theatre to watch us, to guide us, to give us warm rounds of applause and to laugh a lot. and the audience has loved and created this performance together with us until today, so I am sincerely grateful for that.

I will remember all that I have learnt in “ME AND MY GIRL” and devote all of my body and soul to continue delivering the love, joy and happiness to those who love Takarazuka Revue. So I ask for your support in the future as well.

Ari: And this time, I performed with Minami-san. You're always so kind, considering things around you. You're so kind a person and there’s too many things you helped me with and I learnt from. Thank you.

MariYui fans finally gets food after a month or less

Mari was doing her usual activity and training her two tsugukos (her cousins to he specific)

They decided to go eat somewhere else near the town that’s closest to the cloud mansion. And after leaving, it started raining, and much to their displeasure, none of them brought an umbrella since they didn’t expect the sudden rain.

With Mari’s sister instincts kicking in, she would take off her haori and hand to Akio since Misaki already has one herself; but Misaki insisted that she would use Mari’s haori while Akio uses her own. Mari just shrugged it off and complied to her wishes.

She would watch the two race each other back to the cloud mansion, and Mari just casually walked there, despite the rain becoming heavier and heavier each minute. She always likes the feeling of the rain.

All of a sudden, she noticed that she didn’t feel the droplets of the rain touching her, despite that it was still raining. Turning around, she notices Yuichiro, covering her (and himself) with the umbrella he’s holding.

Mari would decline his help, reassuring that she’d be fine; but Yuichiro was persistent, telling the brunette that she’d get sick, which she didn’t take his warning too seriously and walked away, telling Yuichiro that her immunity system is high so she’s less likely to get sick.

Aaand of course, the ravenette wasn’t having it and quickly catches up to her and held her wrist with one hand while the other was still holding onto the umbrella.

…And after back and forth of Mari and Yuichiro bickering a little (mostly Mari), Yuichiro was able to convince Mari to let him accompany her to the cloud mansion.

After arriving there; the Minami siblings were waiting infront of the door for Mari and when they noticed Yuichiro accompanied Mari

“What is seaweed head doing here?”

Aaand that offended Yuichiro and Mari had to restrain him from literally yelling at a child….

I considered making a full list of possible castings but decided against it both because certain characters would have to share VAs for story reasons, and because it's just way harder for me to pick that sort of thing than themes lol.

....that said, As for the rest:

The Tzitzimitl don's really have any speaking lines but even if they did I don't really see them as what I'm hearing while looking at Minori Suzuki's roles. They're basically a walking apocalypse in the context of the story, like the Kali from lostbelt 4.

I can see Hosoya for Cortez, but I was actually thinking Akio Otsuka!

For Cipactli, yours is actually a really good pick listening through, but I already know for certain the perfect pick for them would be Fumiko Orikasa.

And then lastly, for in-joke reasons, Cabrakan would be Takuya Matsumoto
