i got into new musicians mostly so i could actually attend concerts but they never come to my city so whats the point

i simply don’t know why fines from things like parking tickets, etc, are not percentage (based on income) rather than dollar based

if i get a parking ticket in downtown boston and it costs me 35$, and it costs Jeff Bezos 35$ that doesn’t make any sense

but if i make minimum wage in massachusetts (15$/hour) if i work full time that’s 0.0012% of my income.

that doesn’t sound like a lot, sure, but if jeff bezos gets the same parking ticket, and he has to pay 0.0012% of His income for him to be impacted the same way, his parking ticket should cost 199,200,000$.

*i am aware this is his net worth and not his income but i am not changing any of the math
