Peanut🥜💬 Alrighty pals ... I was tagged by @jester_the_minischnauzer n @dogsagainstbaths to join the September’s #dabfunday and it’s gonna be several days! We just learned about this AWESOME celebration in honor of a mama from Puerto Rico who kept her 5 pups alive & healthy by learning to peel and eat bananas!🍌🙌🏼❤️ Through Sunday, Sept 22, join the pawty by posting a pic of you with a banana. 🙊Every post = $1 to @thesatoproject which rescued @millie_time_5 & her pups. MILLIE HAS AN ANNOUNCEMENT!!! 🍌🍌🍌 She looooves bananas- AND- she loves them so much that we decided to do a fundraiser for her rescue in honor of bananas! 🍌 Here’s why: The 2 year anniversary of when Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico is one week from today, on Friday September 20. Millie was likely abandoned by her family because of the hurricane, and was found 6 months later by @thesatoproject 🇵🇷 She was a #satostrong mama stray (Sato is PR slang for stray dog) caring for her litter of 5 puppies. One of the ways in which we and friends from PR think she survived so well on her own, and was able to keep her pups so well fed/nursed, was because she learned to open and eat the bananas that are all over the island. Her 1 month old pups were all well fed and cared for chunky monkeys. 🐒 🍌 SO- in honor of her love of bananas (and our love for them for keeping her and her pups alive) we wanted to ask you all to post a picture or video of your dog (or donkey, or cat, or turtle...) eating (or attempting to eat, or photoshopped, or with a fake banana, or an epic fail) and use the hashtag #milliegoesbananas and tag us!!
