Today's Art Special is my seventh complete series in my Millet Process. The first is my oil painting followed by my drawing, thrn my conte crayon sketch, ending with Millet's original painting. I based the two drawings off of the event poster of the Millet and Modern Art Exhibit which was an earlier 1853 version of the 1857 piece I used for the oil painting. It is fitting I finished this today on the Summer Solstice as this was Millet's "Summer" paiting in his seasons set. Only one more painting left in my Millet Process! . I painted my first painting again to see my progress in my Millet Process as both Jean François Millet and Vincent van Gogh both painted and drew this picture hundreds of times. I think it turned out pretty good.
