ravi hello!!! i wanted to ask bc u are the second resident orv expert i know, which version would u recommend reading first?? the novel or the webcomic?? hope you're having a lovely lovely day!!!
HSSNMAKAKAKA YOU MIGHT READ ORV??? LITERALLY SHAKING ITS SO GOOD. STORY OF ALL TIME. AND THIS ASK SINGLEHANDEDLY IMPROVED MY DAY
Okay so! The comic is in progress (about 20% done? so comic will not be finished for another like 7+ years lol), meanwhile the novel is complete (and imo, a must)!
The comic might be good to read first as an intro, and would def help with visuals because the novel doesn't describe character appearances much (not that they look the same as they do in my head). It's really accurate to the novel, save for some minor details (which is due to the fact that the authors are revising the novel, so comic is based off revisions, which are mostly just minor details)
If you read the comic and then start the novel, def start from the beginning! The mc's narration is great and you'll get a lot more from the text because orv works best as a written story
Tldr; comic good as an intro, but novel is a necessity because it's better for the nature of the story and also its complete
(Also I'd say download an epub of the novel here since there isn't a true english translation and this is the best in terms of translation quality)
