Around the World Part 5
Hey guys!! Welcome back to the Spooky World Tour. Where we finally leave the USA and head across the Pond.
First stop! The British Isles. Where Robin gets giddy about Titanic stuff. They do run afoul some fans as they leave Boston, but nothing seasoned vet Eddie Munson can't handle. Eddie tries out new looks as disguises that make Steve very happy and Robin and Chrissy get teased.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
~
âOh shit.â
Eddie had checked his phone for their flight number because they were getting ready to check out of one of the hotels they stayed in. It was supposed to have been haunted but considering their previous experiences, it was pretty sure bet that it actually wasnât.
So yeah, anyway. They had a problem. Well, closer to roughly fifty problems and all of them outside the hotel waiting for Eddie Munson to come out.
Steve looked up from his last minute search of the room to make sure they got everything. âWhatâs up?â
âSomeone fucking told TMZ Iâm in Boston,â Eddie hissed, âand which hotel Iâm staying at.â
âShit.â
They shared a glance and both took off at a run straight for the girlsâ room.
Eddie raised his hand to knock, but Chrissy was already opening the door.
âHow did they find out?â Steve asked, nervously twisting his fingers together.
âVickieâs looking into it,â she said, gently. âIâve hired two cars exactly the same to show up at the back of the hotel. We will get in one and four actors will get into the other and weâll play the fucking shell game with these people.â She got angrier as she spoke.
Robin came up behind her. âThat was Vickie,â she said solemnly, âshe thinks sheâs found the leak.â
Steve and Eddie shared a concerned glance.
Chrissy pulled them into the room and closed the door behind her. She stood in front of the door and crossed her arms. âWho do I have to kill?â
âNancy fucking Wheeler,â Robin huffed. âBy way of probably Mike and Dustin. Mike figures she got home early when Dustin was talking about how Steve and I must like having friends in high places that could take us on world tours.â
Steve sank to the floor in a crouch. He had told Dustin that as a trial run to see how well he could keep a secret now that he was older. And apparently the answer was not well at all.
âFuck.â
âYeah,â she continued. âNancy must have decided that since she couldnât blab about Steve and Eddieâs relationship without breaking the NDA she decided to chose violence instead.â
Eddie put one hand on his hip and lifted his shirt a little as he looked around the room. Then he spotted the potted plant. A real one for how posh the place was. He grabbed a baggie from Chrissyâs makeup bag and started filling it.
Robin frowned in confusion, but Steve and Chrissy grinned.
âHis little camouflage technique,â Chrissy explained.
Then the light bulb above Robinâs head went off. âLike that night you came to the concert!â
Eddie and Steve grinned at her.
âWe canât doing it leaving the hotel,â he said with a grin, âbecause the shell game wouldnât sell. But once weâre in the car, we dirty up our clothes and luggage to get through to the airport. Then we can use the airport lounge to shower and change.â
âSo we leave now?â Robin asked, looking at her watch.
âWe leave now.â
~
Robin knew how to change up her look. She took out makeup from Chrissyâs bag and did her makeup completely different to âRobinâ. She didnât have any of her designer clothes that she wore as Celeste Baptiste, but she knew how to glam up what she already had. Chrissy and Eddie did the homeless look, multiple layers and dirt smeared into their skin and hair.
Steve was a little harder to disguise because of his perfect cheek bones and distinct profile. Which is when Chrissy got the idea to glam Steve up too. She contoured his face and added cat-eye wingtips and glitter.
Standing next Robin, they looked like a pair of fashion models on their way to Milan, London, or even Paris.
Eddie and Chrissy split up, while Robin and Steve walked and talked like Abbadon and Celeste.
Soon they were at the airport lounge and Eddie and Chrissy made quick work of their disguises in the lounge showers.
Steve had his makeup removed, but Robin kept hers on.
âI will feel safer it being on until after the flight takes off,â she said once Eddie and Chrissy had rejoined them.
Chrissy gave her hand a squeeze. âThatâs okay. I talked to the airline representative and the pilot and they both assured me that the flight is nearly empty and we are the only ones in first class.â
Robin nodded and Steve pulled her close for a hug. He never had to experience that before. But with them traveling with Eddie, it was insane.
~
Steve had long since fallen asleep on Eddieâs shoulder. Eddie looked over across the aisle to Robin.
âWhen you guys fly is first class or...?â he asked quietly, careful to not wake either of their partners. Chrissy was on the other side of Robin, curled up into a little ball with a Hello Kitty sleep mask over her eyes as she snored softly.
Robin shook her head. âWe donât want to let people on that we might be anything other peons. Shane suggested a private jet once. But...â
âHow do you explain that the five little peons,â Eddie said with a chuckle, âShane, Simon, Steve, Spence, and Robin arenât on the same flight as the other roadies and peons?â
Robin snorted. âYeah, pretty much. Spence suggested telling people we just were all getting on a separate flight than everyone else.â She cocked her head to the side. âSteve wasnât convinced.â
Eddie winced. Steve could be really stubborn about that sort of thing. He was also the one that stood to lose the most if this shit went south, so... Eddie supposed a little bit of grace could be given.
âYou do know what the solution is, donât you?â he said with a grin. âYou hire a charter jet for everyone.â
Robin blinked at him for a moment and then grinned back. âEddie Munson, I love your brain.â
âWell thatâs all you get,â he huffed, looking down at the still sleeping Steve. He brushed a strand of hair out of Steveâs face.
âSap!â she huffed and pulled down her witchy sleep mask she got in Salem, MA and settled into her seat to sleep the rest of the flight.
Eddie pulled out the blanket they had been given and covered them both. Then under the covers linked their hands together.
Slowly he too drifted off to sleep.
~
Steve awoke with a start as the flight attendants announced that they were coming into Cobh and to please put all tray tables in an upright and locked position. He looked around and saw that everyone else was awake. Chrissy and Robin were playing games on their phones while Eddie read a book.
Steve peered around at the title. âThe Dead Zoneâ by Stephen King. He snorted. Of course his boyfriend would be reading horror on this trip. He just wasnât sure that was the right book to read considering the current political climate, but he wasnât about to police Eddieâs reading.
He stretched and then buckled his seatbelt. He carefully folded the blanket and handed it to the flight attendant as they passed, making sure everyone was buckled in.
âThe Titanic Museum in Vegas was pretty impressive,â Robin said excitedly. âI really hope this place delivers.â
Steve chuckled at his best friend. By the nature of their trip they had to sometimes visit things in the bright light of day and it wasnât always very spooky.
Personally he thought that was a good thing. The bones in his hands needed some relief from all the grinding and squeezing the other three had been doing. Because yes, while it began as just Eddie and Robin grabbing a hold of him when he got scared, Chrissy was supposed to be there as his âgirlfriendâ there was some hand holding to be expected from her as well.
Robin was not disappointed. The Titanic stuff was everywhere. The walking tour, the pier in which the ill-fated ship embarked from, the memorial. Robin was talking a mile a minute and even their tour guide seemed impressed by her wealth of knowledge.
Eddie, Steve, and Chrissy stood in the back of the group, arms crossed, watching their friend in amusement as she gestured wildly.
âSheâs cute,â Chrissy said warmly.
âWell,â Steve said with a huff, âif your plan pans out, you can make all the kissy faces at her all you want.â
She tried to hide her giggle behind her hand, but failed miserably. âIf thatâs why I was doing it, Iâd agree with you. But after what happened in Boston, disguising Eddie means we all become anonymous.â
Steve sighed. He had been thiissss close to telling Dustin about his secret band or hell just that he was dating Eddie in general, but then he had to go bragging to Mike about how cool it was for him to have friends that would take him on world trips and have the media catch wind of that?
Getting to Logan airport had been a nightmare.
Thankfully Eddieâs camouflage trick worked and they were able to get on their flight with minimal fuss.
So now Eddie was currently dressed in clothes that would have made people think he raided Abbadonâs closet. He wore a white button up over a white tank top, large white jeans. His hair had been braided by Chrissy and Robin to look like almost dreadlocks and huge glasses that covered his eyes. He had also refrained from shaving so that further covered up his face.
He looked like a fucking runway model and Steve was absolutely going to eat him when they got back to their hotel, he looked that good.
When Robin finally paused for breath they went to lunch and took in some of the other sites, Cohb offered.
Steve nearly burst out laughing when Robin grabbed Chrissy hand to show her something and then âforgotâ to let go. Chrissy might not being taking advantage of Eddie incognito, but Robin sure the hell was.
When they finally got to the hotel, Steve grinned at Robin and whispered, âI recommend dental dams and socks to muffle the noise.â He winked and walked away as she sputtered and squawked in outrage.
About five minutes later he came back out holding a small box. He knocked on their door and when Chrissy opened it, Steve tossed her the box.
âAlways use protection, ladies,â he teased, wagging his eyebrows suggestively and then turned and walked back to the room he shared with Eddie.
Chrissy looked at the box in her hand and saw it was dental dams. âSteve, why do you even have these? Steve? Steve!â But he merely closed the door behind him.
Eddie was unbraiding the last of his braids when Steve came back. âThat better have not had been our last box, lover boy.â
Steve threw back his head and laughed. âLike I would do such a thing!â he cried, mock scandalized. âWe have three other boxes. I told the TSA agent I was going to a dental convention in Dublin.â
Eddie cackled. âBecause of course you did.â He got up and pulled Steve toward the bed. âCome on, I believe youâve been wanting to ravish me all day.â
Steve grinned, sliding his arms around his waist. âOh yeah. I get that itâs not your style, baby, but Iâm about to have a really good time peeling it off of you.â
Eddie grinned and flopped on the bed. He propped himself up on his elbows and wagged his eyebrows at Steve. Steve hurried to remove his own clothes and then crawled up on the bed.
âSo this style really does it for you, baby?â Eddie purred. âI think I could be persuaded to wear it more often.â He cocked his head to the side. âAt least on this trip.â
Steve yanked off the belt and undid the jeans, pulling out both shirts. âIâll tell you what. Letâs make a deal. I get to dress you however I want for this trip and you have full reign in the bedroom. All under the guise of keeping you under the radar.â
âSounds good, Stevie,â he said sitting up to allow Steve to remove his shirts. âI just have one caveat.â
âWhatâs that?â he asked absentmindedly, working to get Eddieâs pants off.
âThat we take pictures of all the times we managed to fool people and post a montage on social media, as âback at you bitchâ to Nancy.â
Steve stopped what he was doing and looked Eddie dead in the eye. âGod, I love you.â He ripped off the rest of Eddieâs clothes and kissed him deeply. âHell yeah, babe. I love the way you think.â
And then he proceeded to ravish Eddie as planned.

Anonymous asked: Serious question - Does this type of public fan behaviour not land the boys in troubles? [link redacted] Funny question - what will be DDâs reaction if he sees this bus? Will he feel shy or happily take pic and send to GG?
Hi Anon! âșïž
Fake, fan fiction, CPN.
Anon is talking about the bus and taxi that BXG had wrapped in GGDD graphics for the Tencent event last night.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/7baed264ca9798ab9ac869ef3f3e6d1a/7ac4ed7c3b34afec-e3/s540x810/eebeb7c7a0921e00726b21b16b19163b4d6d0e92.jpg)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/a9015519cb0c349d39b164e83d20e898/7ac4ed7c3b34afec-20/s540x810/df1ece413e991fd20f788a6e24ec46e291d9df61.jpg)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/b63892db40e538d8d065857845d709a9/7ac4ed7c3b34afec-20/s540x810/2aa3d6c73f9193a8521e4903955ff943209cdfa8.jpg)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/2c2a75e6e78f574fa076b7bf154a90a6/7ac4ed7c3b34afec-34/s540x810/a2d96399b8481fa381fc229284296df58c9ebaf0.jpg)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/418370a713a8b17b6e23dacb9958ef42/7ac4ed7c3b34afec-45/s540x810/0f02e886d676873ec9550e5363e33b8d5dfb0486.jpg)
This is something BXG do whenever there's a big event like this, especially ones there's a chance they'll both attend (these types of things are planned well in advance, long before BXG would know for sure whether GG would be attending).
One bus and a taxi is actually pretty low-key compared to some of the things BXG have done in the past. It's not unusual for them to do multiple buses, digital billboards, etc. and they even lit up the entire exterior of the arena with BXG graphics/slogans for Weibo Night a couple years ago.
Solos love to make it seem like turtles behavior is risky or dangerous, but I find that notion totally ridiculous. These are fan materials and all in good fun. Bystanders will immediately recognize it as such, and are unlikely to take it too seriously or get offended.
At the end of the day, GG and DD are the only ones with any power to put a stop to these things and they haven't, so I think that says everything we need to know. I've talked about that a bit in the past.
So, Anon, not to worry.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/f54a0a0f1ee09fd2430fe6de6b7a7e7b/7ac4ed7c3b34afec-8d/s540x810/dcd1ddf8603a85e7d47ad980a64736c94de0521b.jpg)
As for GG and DD's reaction to things like this, there has been some discussion of that in LRLG rumors in the past. I'm especially thinking of the light banners at Tencent 2020. You can read more about that event here.
Fake rumors are fake rumors, but I think it's a pretty safe bet that they and their teams find these things amusing and heart-warming. There are plenty of examples but here are just a few:
Back during DDU they filmed a segment where DD was driving with the other DDU brothers in the car. DD was driving by a group of BXG and honked at them (some were clowning that the pattern of his honking sounded like BJYXSZD because he was doing 7 fast honks, taking a pause and then 7 again).
One year for DD's birthday BXG hired a digital billboard truck to drive around the Hunan TV building all day (where DD was filming DDU). The truck was decked out in BXG graphics and with a loudspeaker blaring GG's voice from the BTS yelling "HAPPY BIRTHDAY WANG YIBO", and there were fan repos of DD, the other hosts and Hunan TV employees laughing and taking pictures.
GG was seen smiling at BXG balloons during his visit to Milan.
When DD was in LA his car was driving by a group of BXG who were standing on the streetcorner holding balloons and chanting BJYXSZD, and DD's assistant was filmed laughing and taking photos/video from inside the car.
There are countless examples of GG and DD appearing to look at and react to BJYX light banners and headbands.
I'm sure there are many more examples I could add, but you get the general idea. I think it only makes sense that GG and DD would find these things mostly cute, and appreciate the support.
Related posts:
Thread about GGDD and the supertopics. Original post here.
What turtles might mean to GGDD
Do you think they're aware of how fans interpret things?
Do you think GG and DD enjoy BXG fan works?
Can I also add that I found this light banner from last night's event especially hilarious:

"We will be landing in approximately three hours, Mrs Fiore."
It was the evening of the 22nd of December and the flight attendant had just quietly informed her employer's wife of their journey's status.
"Thank you," Nicola replied with a smile before turning her attention towards the sleeping man beside her.
Gio's private jet was flying over the Atlantic Ocean, its luxurious interiors dimmed to help ease the couple into a restful sleep. But while her husband slept soundly, Nicola struggled to do the same.
But this wasn't the first time.
Since finding out that Gio had not seen his family for over five years, Nicola had been carrying that guilt everywhere she'd go. And every single day since, she had wanted to right that wrong. Racking her brain for weeks, she eventually came up with a nearly perfect plan â Christmas. What better gift is there than to be with your family for Christmas?
And so, Nicola planned their holiday meticulously.
Days before their flight, Nicola had told Gio that they were going on a holiday destination to celebrate their first Christmas as husband and wife. And though she arranged for all that, she also added a slight â but very necessary â secret detour.
Her real gift.
***
"Nic?"
Nicola took a second longer to respond, unable to tear her eyes off the Rolls Royce that was driving her husband away.
"Are you sure about this?*"
"Yes," Nicola replied without hesitation before finally turning to look her brother in the eye. Lorenzo had driven all the way from Milan to Laglio just to pick up his little sister. There was nobody else she trusted to help carry out her plan but him.
Only when the car she hired for her husband was completely out of view did Nicola climb into Lorenzo's. With a heavy heart, to sit there was all she could do not to cry. This was the first time she'd been apart from Gio since they'd gotten back together, and if truth be told, she had half the mind to ask her brother to turn the car around.
But she resisted every urge to do so, wanting nothing more than to reunite Gio with his family. Even just for the holidays. And if that meant biting the bullet, she'd do it. For him. Anything for him.
It was high time that Gio got to go home. And to ensure everyone's safety, she had to go back to hers.
***
Nicola spent the next few days with her father and brother in Milan, celebrating the holiday the best she could. Though she missed her husband dearly, she couldn't show any signs that would cause suspicion. Thankfully, Antonio Zanetta seemed happy enough to have both his children home for the holidays that he didn't seem too displeased when Nicola informed him that she needed to 'fly back to London' early for a school project that couldn't wait â a simple enough lie that would get her to Gio sooner. There was no way she was going to miss her first Christmas with her husband.
Unfortunately, Christmas dinner at her house took longer than expected, but thankfully Lorenzo had a need for speed that a usual hour and a half to Laglio was reduced to forty minutes. With barely an hour left to the day, Nicola finally found herself in Gio's room. And just like that, she was transported back six years ago when he would sometimes sneak her in.
Looking around, the room seemed empty. But his sister, Vienna, had told her that he'd retired early, so where could he be?
Nicola didn't have to wonder long. One step into the heart of the room and there she saw him, standing in his balcony smoking. With a glass of whisky in one hand and his phone in the other, he seemed busy, texting. For a moment, she said nothing, merely watching him. Until finally, he put his phone to his ear, and her familiar ringtone rang in her hand, his name flashing across the screen.
"Buon Natale, tesoro mio..." Nicola murmured, her voice carrying itself only the balcony, catching her husband's attention. "I'm sorry I'm so late, Iâ..."
Gio's lips had captured hers in a heated kiss before she could even get the rest of her words out. Three days. They were apart for just three days. But one breath of his kiss made it feel like it had been an eternity three times over.
"Never again..." Gio demanded, pleaded, as he tightened his embrace and swept her off her feet. It took three large strides for him to get to his bed, leaving a trail of their clothes in his wake. He needed no words to explain his pain further. She knew of that pain all too well.
"Never," Nicola promised her beloved, "ever again."

Julien had taken Hennig upstairs for the meal theyâd agreed on, and he couldnât have asked for a better time to do it. The American agent acting as a stewardess had been tied up in some passenger drama or another, and the Russians seemed quietly preoccupiedâJulien had picked out the words âItalyâ and âMilan.â Not hard to do, even though he didnât speak a lick of Russian.
Julien could make an educated guess that theyâd run into the cardinals. That meant the cardinals were likewise focused on the Russians, and no one was paying attention to the mechanic they were all probably here for in the first place. The way Julien figured it, as long as he stayed out of the crossfire, he was home free.
âI hope you like lemon,â Hennig said, sliding into the booth and passing Julien a danish wrapped in paper. âThey were all out of cherry.â
âYouâre very kind,â Julien said. He had no intention of eating just now, but he would absolutely take the danish with him when he disembarked at the next stop. He hadnât lied about being peckish.
Two cups of coffee sat on the table between them, as well as both of their briefcases and Hennigâs sandwichâsome sort of monstrosity involving onions and herring. Hennig had returned from the counter with their food too quickly for Julien to dissolve any poison in his cup, but that was fine. The longer they sat here, the more opportunities would present themselves. Julien had been having a remarkably lucky day so far when it came to flying under the radar, and he saw no reason why his luck shouldnât continue.
âI never asked where you were staying in Milan,â he said to Hennig, leaning back in his seat. Hennigâs answers tended to devolve into long-winded stories; pretending to listen would give Julien an opportunity to take a glance around the dining car to see who the potential witnesses to Hennigâs death would be.
âOh,â Hennig said. âWell, in the letter I received about the conference, it said Iâd be accommodated on-site, whatever that means. But Iâve been to Milan on some business in the past, and I very much enjoyedââ
Julien fixed a polite smile on his face, and let his eyes wander about the room. Surprisingly few passengers were here for lunch. It was still early, he supposed. There was a young couple playing a spirited game of cards, a woman reading by herself, a person with unnaturally orange hair chatting to two young boys while they inhaled crisps and ignored the sandwiches on the table in front of them. No one to worry about, at first glanceâthough Julien found his eyes returning, surreptitiously, to the two boys. They were strangely quiet for kids.
âAnd you?â Hennig asked. âWhere will you be staying?â
Julien blinked, refocused his attention, and smiled. âI have an aunt in Bergamo. Iâll be staying at her house and driving in for the conference.â
âAn Italian aunt? I thought you were from Canada.â
âAh, even my immediate family is scattered to the four winds. Aunt Lil was just luckier than most. One impulsive marriage to an Italian sailor on holiday in Nova Scotia, and the rest was history.â Julien left his mouth running, nearly on autopilot, as the gears in his mind turned. He never dealt with children in his line of workârarely were they ever so unpopular that an assassin was required. Barring, of course, the obvious exception. Central wished they had hired him to assassinate those British princes.
The operation to install a Canadian agent on the throne of England wasnât one Julien had been a part of, but everyone who was anyone in the Intelligence Office knew about it. It helped that Vannier-Vanier liked to brag about the Queen being in his pocket. Julien had always thought of Hemisphere Canadaâs head as a slimy old man who put women he wanted indebted to him in positions of power, and this had cinched that impression. Still, news had spread quickly in Intelligence that the transition of power hadnât gone as smoothly as hoped.
Now they had a botch job on their hands: a bad frame-up of the regent or underground socialists or something, and last Julien had heard, the princes had fled across the Channel. It was all over the international papers.Â
Hennigâs eyes went wide. âHow romantic!â
âWell, itâs certainly convenient,â Julien said. He did not historically have much sense for the romantic; his strength lay more in jobs where he could slide into the position of friend or confidante. Lillian had told him before, repeatedly, that he was the worst sheâd ever seen at seducing targets. After one ill-fated incident with a crime familyâs son in QuĂ©bec that had nearly gotten Julien shot to ribbons, she made sure those sorts of jobs didnât cross his desk anymore.
âWhat about the rest of your family?â Hennig asked. âWhere have they scattered?â
âI have a sister in Ontarioâthatâs in Canada. And another one in America. A brother in America, too,â Julien said, reaching for his cup of coffee and taking a long, slow sip. Hennig would never know if he was lying or telling the truth, so he did a mix of both to satisfy his own amusement. âMy parentsââ
He stopped short. It couldnât be, right? The adult sitting with the two boys was yammering on in German, the boys nodding along as they picked through their sandwiches, noses crinkled. Neither of them said a thing, even though they picked the cheese out of their sandwiches with regal disdain. Normal kids would have complained, Julien was pretty sure. The adult with the orange hair kept talking about nothing, running through everything there was to do and see in Switzerland, while the kids rolled their eyes. The younger one at least picked up the sandwich, but ultimately, neither of them took a bite.
The ages were right. The timeline was right. It was possible. The international papers might have been reporting that the British princes had crossed the Channel, but intel was only as good as its source. And if these were the British princes laying low on an economy class train from Göttingen to Milan, the one thing they would be sure to do was keep their poncey little accents out of their mouths.
âAre you alright?â Hennig asked him, quicker than Julien could recover from the shock of what he now heavily suspected.
Julien nodded, made a show of coughing, and set his cup back in its saucer. âCoffee was hotter than I thought it was. You might want to wait to try yours.â
âOh, thank you,â Hennig said. âYou know, my wife once choked on a herring boneââ
Julien looked out the window. The sun was beginning to dip behind the mountains, and he could see the interior of the dining car reflected in the glass, including the two boys and theirâguardian? Maybe kidnapper was closer. This could be a ransom grab. Whoever they were, they were reallyâŠsomething to look at. They were scruffy and orange enough to stand out. Julien wasnât aware of a single Hemisphere office as sloppy as this. Not even Spain, God save them.
He raised his coffee cup to his lips carefully, nodding along with whatever Hennig was saying now.Â
Julien was itching to get another look at the pictures of Percival and Gawain in the Hemisphere database. He was, in theory, supposed to be keeping an eye out for these two. He had no idea who the other person with them was, but he didnât need a dossier to know they were irritating at best, and bad news at worst. All he needed to draw that conclusion was the fact that they caught sight of Julien looking their way in the window, held his gaze coolly for a moment, and winked at him.
A sensation on his wrist drew Julienâs attention back to the table. Hennig was tapping him.
âAhâsorry,â Julien said, shaking his head as if to clear it. âI was distracted.â
âLost in the mountains,â Hennig joked. âI thought Iâd have to send a search party.â
âNo, no. Not necessary. What were you saying?â He couldnât kill Hennig now. Not in front of the princes and a complete wildcard who was either kidnapping them for ransom or smuggling them across the continent for some other reason. Lillian was going to be getting an earful during their next call; she should have known about this. Was Canadaâs intelligence no better than the Neues Deutschland?
Hennig brightened further, taking a large bite of his disgusting sandwich. âI was wondering whether you intend to leave Italy after the conference, or stay in the country for some time.â
âLeave,â Julien said, fighting the urge to massage his temples. Good God, he wanted to leave. At least the Russians and cardinals were still occupied with each other; he could keep Hennig up here for as long as he liked, and hope the princes would eventually go somewhere else.
The thunder of hasty footsteps on the metal platform between cars proved him immediately wrong. Julien saw the princesâ guardian jump and turn in their seat and decided to follow suit, tensing in anticipation of a hasty exit. The Russians liked their large guns, and the cardinals carried pistols, but he himself was not packing. If any of them decided to simply eliminate him as an obstacle in their way to Hennig, he could only do so much.
âIs someone running?â Hennig asked, alarmed. âDo you think thereâs an emergency?â
âItâs probably nothing to worry about,â Julien lied. If the wild card agent with the princes was worried, he was also going to be worried. That seemed like the safest play. âThough maybe we should go back to our seats?â
He was half-standing from his seat, danish in hand, when the door on the far side of the dining car opened with a loud bang. It was the stewardess, the American that the other Hemisphere agents aboard had taken no notice of. Julien supposed he ought to pretend to be just as oblivious.
âWhatâs the hurry?â he asked her.
The stewardess didnât answer. One of her arms was occupied behind her back. Julien only realized why when her obscured hand appeared again, gripping a small, black pistol with a silencer attached to the muzzle. Julien expected her to say something. She didnât. The gun went off with less hesitation than he would have thought, especially around civiliansâmaybe there really was something to the Americans being sloppy agents who went in guns blazing. He was still thinking this when the bullet struck him in the throat.

what has been happening in the world of motorsports?
there is a massive list under the cut, so although i already deleted a lot of it which was not that relevant or important, open on your own risk (key topic of each is in bold)
Guenther Steiner became the official F1 Ambassador of Miami GP this year
Silverstone GP announced their line up for the music show during the race weekend (truthfully i only heard about Olly Murs), Miami GP did the same btw with Ed Sheeran headlining the show (or at least being the only one I know)
Williams repaired the chassis (that can add up to 7 kgs) and managed to fit on Logan's car being only 100 grams heavier. They donât expect to have a new chassis ready till Miami.
Alpine and RB are other two teams confirmed not to have spare chassis (Bruno Famin said it during the team principalsâ press conference and Mekies said they need to see if Daniel is doing bad or if there is something wrong with the car, so they will wait till China for a new chassis and give it to Daniel first).
the problem that Max experienced in Australia was not directly related to BREMS brake system aka the same brand that already started an investigation to Charles' brake issue in Bahrain, our comm the gossiper he is, said that this one is on the Red Bull crew and the way they assembled the right rear brake duct
There have been some rumours coming from New Zealand media that Daniel Ricciardo has been given an ultimatum to start performing in next two races otherwise he could get replaced by Liam Lawson, looks like that was either started by a source close to Liam to put pressure on Daniel or it has been an incorrect translation/misinterpretation of what Helmut Marko said
Marko confirmed that Ayumu Iwasa will be replacing Daniel in FP1 in Japan (Ayumu is a Japanese driver in Red Bull junior academy who drove in F2 last year and changed over to Super Formula this year), Yuki also hinted at this in the post race interview in Australia but then stopped himself, saying he is not allowed to share that yet
But concerning Daniel, while Marko demented the quote about two races left to prove himself, he didn't rule out the possibility of Daniel being replaced mid-season
Honda opened up a new base for their engines in the UK
Toto Wolff told Fox News Australia more details of how Lewis announced his move to Ferrari to him over a coffee and how he warned Lewis to look closely at Mercedes rear wing because that's a perspective he will have starting with the new season
David Sanchez hired for McLaren at the end of last season from Ferrari has been fired (or âleaves the team after mutual agreement from both sides about his misalignmentâ). They didn't agree on his job position, so he leaves after 3 months. Emanuele Pirro also left McLaren from the role of head of McLarenâs junior academy (there was no apparent reason for this stated, like in Davidâs case) after one year only.
It seems like Charles will be opening an ice cream parlour LEC in Milan. Press con / grand opening is supposed to be around 10th/11th April, so thatâs when we will learn more pieces of information, probably. So far we know it will be with Federico Grom and Guido Martinetti, who founded an ice cream shop chain in Italy.
Maxâs chief mechanic Lee Stephenson will be working for Sauber from now on as he ended his journey with Red Bull after Australia.
Toto Wolff spoke again about the replacement of Lewis in Mercedes in 2025 and mentioned he wants to get it sorted around the summer and reminded that Max is on his shortlist. There are rumours about most of Mercedes employees being interested in getting Max in the team and into the ambassador role for them. Also, a side note: Toto originally wasnât meant to be at this GP but changed plans last minute for unknown reasons.
Liberty Media bought MotoGP commercial rights (for a similar amount as they did with F1: 4,2 billion Euro). The championship is in a similar position where F1 was, and they want to try to put more spotlight on it and bring the fans like they did with F1.
Honda is opening a new engine factory in the UK in preparation for the Aston Martin partnership starting with 2026.
A Japanese billionaire built a private circuit for 180 mil Euro, and it was Herman Tilkeâs team who designed it (it is only available for teams of prestigious Magarigawa club).
There was a rumour in the media a few days ago that Aston Martin approached Adrian Newey with a huge financial offer in Jeddah and are just waiting for the answer, however Mike Krack said to media in Suzuka that is not the case and they are happy with their team so they didnât even need to make any offers in the first place. (Although the rumour has been reported by pretty reliable sources that said it was Lawrence Stroll himself who approached him.)
There was a slight change in the rules concerning tyres for this year and that caused the lack of running in FP2. There was a rule that if Friday sessions are declared as wet, the teams have a selection of 5 intermediate tyre sets and 2 wet ones. However, there used to be a rule of additional intermediate set of tyres being available for Friday if it rained, which would then have to be given back to Pirelli, but that rule isnât applied this year. This is why teams decided to save tyres for Sunday, in case they are needed (and they will be according to some weather predictions).
Australian GP saw the most fans over the weekend in their history, the official numbers state 452 thousand of fans.
in Australia: Checo had a tear off stuck in his car, Lewisâ issue was reliability concern and the damage to the engine was terminal so he had to take a new one, Fernando was handed an after race 20s penalty for the incident with George, Este was another one with a tear off issue
After Ben Sulayem was cleared of the allegations of trying to mess up with the race results or the accreditation of individual circuits, he came out to say they are despicable moves against him, just trying to discredit him. In support, the US group of FIA club members wrote an open letter than they stand behind him, that he has their support in the decisions and also that they suggest to take legal action against people who were the ones to complain to the ethic committee.
Seb has been vocal over the last days to promote a new drink Perple (but he spoke about a lot of current f1 topics). Speaking of potential comeback, Porsche apparently postponed the announcement of their Le Mans lineup (was meant to be on 28th March) and he named the car he tested with, so there is a high possibility of him driving. He covered 118 laps, and I didnât find any times comparison but there is a report that they were impressive.
FIA Prize Giving for 2024 will be held in Kigali in Rwanda on 13th December this season â first time ever for this country.
Pierre started a new line of his own merch with his own face on it from karting days and there has been quite some talk about that move copying Lewisâ significant merch (I like to shit on Pierre but personal opinion: this is really NOT that deep and Lewis doesnât actually have a trademark for this kind of merch). Yuki is releasing new line too and there is a lot of blue color which I appreciate. Guyanu made a partnership line with Lululemon. Lewis was a face of latest issue of GQ and ate that photoshoot.
Valtteri mentioned he is in talks with Audi for a contract beyond this season and more importantly he spoke about the pit stop issues and warned fans they will struggle with this issue for a while still, because they need both time and funds to fix it so expect multiple other races like this.
BBC spoke to close victim of Horner case. She can't speak about it during the investigation, is angry and scared and feels silenced. Multiple sources approached her to see if she would like to sell her story and make money on it, but she refused because she doesnât want fame, just justice. She will also go to the employment tribunal.
Kimi Antonelli will be testing W12 on 16th April (and later test W13 to get a feeling of the "good" car first).
Daily Mail reports Mercedes will be partnering with Adidas (instead of Puma and Tommy Hilfiger) to design their merch and race wear.
F1 now has a multiyear partnership with Playseat to provide official racing simulators
Charles made a new road safety campaign
Itâs Oscarâs birthday today!
The Las Vegas GP report showed its economic influence etc. but also weak spots like infrastructure
Logan Sargeantâs docu named Racing the Odds came out on ESPN
Teams are being restricted from how much behind-the-scenes content they can show and itâs all related to Liberty Media and Drive to Survive, because Netflix wants a monopole over the exclusive content.
I saw a lot of talk after Australia about team orders with the main point about McLarenâs ones that they ordered Lando to be let in front, because he was on fresher tyres and could catch up with Charles. McLarenâs TP Andrea Stella came out and said it is not the case and they wanted to avoid the drivers crashing into each other and losing the valuable double points and podium
Lando Norris was on Chicken Shop Date. I donât understand the significance of it but a lot of news sites I like to check reported it, so I figured out it may be a big deal in the world of people who have social media outside of Tumblr?
We have a few returning faces: Masi was in the Australian GP paddock and Binotto is rumored to visit the paddock for Japanese GP and Felipe Massa was at an FE race while suing F1 which seems a bit strange.

A man has been arrested after eight died and 14 were injured in Serbia's second mass shooting in a week.
The attack occurred shortly after midnight near a village some 60km (37 miles) south of Belgrade when the shooter opened fire from a moving car.
He was arrested in the early hours of Friday morning after "an extensive search", the interior ministry said.
It comes after a boy killed nine people at a Belgrade school on Wednesday, Serbia's worst shooting in years.
President Aleksander Vucic pledged the "practical disarmament" of the country, as he announced a list of new security measures intended to improve gun control on Friday morning.
The suspect - who has only been identified by his initials UB - was detained near the city of Kragujevac, the interior ministry said.
The arrest followed an extensive manhunt, which local media reported involved over 600 police officers. He was eventually found hiding at his grandfather's house, Serbian broadcaster RTS reported.
Early on Friday morning, Serbian media said that special police forces had arrived at the villages of Mladenovac and Dubona, where the latest shooting occurred.
Photos from the scene showed police officers stopping cars at checkpoints as they tried to find the gunman. A helicopter, drones and multiple police patrols were also used.
Reports on local media say the suspect - who the interior ministry said was born in 2002 - started firing at people with an automatic weapon after having an argument with a police officer in a park in Dubona on Thursday evening.
Milan ProkiÄ, a Dubona resident, told Radio Belgrade 1 he heard shots near his house: "It's sad, regrettable, we locked ourselves in our home so [the shots] wouldn't come to us."
The man is then said to have proceeded to shoot people from a car, killing at least eight people and wounding many more.
All injured people admitted to hospital were born after the year 2000, RTS reported.
Two people aged 21 and 23 were operated on, but remain in critical condition.
Speaking at a news conference after the attack on Friday, Serbia's president said the suspect had been wearing a T-shirt with neo-Nazi symbols, but no further details were given.
President Vucic called the shooting "an attack on us all" and announced a host of new security measures, including a plan to hire 1,200 new police officers.
He also announced a ban on new gun permits, tougher penalties for illegal weapons possession and psychological checks of gun owners. He said the new laws would result in the "practical disarmament" of Serbia.
On Wednesday, a thirteen-year-old boy shot dead eight fellow pupils at his school in Belgrade, as well as a security guard. It prompted the Serbian government to propose tighter restrictions of gun ownership.
NBA basketball player Luka Doncic said he would pay for the funerals of all nine people killed in Wednesday's shooting, and for grief counselling for classmates and staff.
Mass shootings are extremely rare in Serbia, which has very strict gun laws, but gun ownership in the country is among the highest in Europe.
The western Balkans are awash with illegal weapons following wars and unrest in the 1990s. In 2019, it was estimated that there are 39.1 firearms per 100 people in Serbia - the third highest in the world, behind the US and Montenegro.

Headline: Bristol: Where the Housing Crisis Bites Harder Than a Vegan Piranha.
A Masochist's Guide to Britain's Most Expensive (and Eccentric) City Outside London, Where Endless Protests Mingle with Artisanal Bread and Your Council Tax Buys You...Well, We're Not Quite Sure, yet.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/7ff32aca8ee1ef871c7e3dd39b89de01/14184ca453e07dec-24/s540x810/ae0b3048e2a7e3e128f85e7e3a8466699a620cf9.jpg)
Bristol: A Jewel in the Crown of Chaos (and Masochism)
Ah, Bristol! A city of captivating contrasts, where the bohemian spirit wrestles with eye-watering house prices, and the aroma of freshly baked artisanal bread mingles with the lingering scent of âKill the Billâ protesters. It's the UK's most expensive city outside of London, they say, a dubious honour that comes with a unique blend of charm and exasperation. So, without further ado, welcome to Bristol, a guide for the masochistic at heart.
Housing: Where Dreams Go to Die (Slowly and Painfully)
Forget those idyllic visions of owning a quaint Victorian terrace. In Bristol, you'll be lucky to afford a shoebox-sized flat with a landlord who considers basic plumbing an optional extra. Space is a luxury, but hey, who needs it when you can pay a premium for the privilege of living in a "vibrant" community? Just try not to think about the crippling mortgage or rent payments, or you may find yourself in the queue for psychiatric intervention, and, if you manage to get an appointment before you die of old age, go treat yourself!
Protests: A Spectator Sport (and Participatory Bloodsport?)
Bristol is a hotbed of activism, where every cause, no matter how obscure, finds its voice. From Extinction Rebellion's theatrical stunts to the perennial "Kill the Bill" demonstrations and everything in between (Palestine, banning cars, banning cyclists â you name it), there's never a dull moment. Just be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as you'll likely be doing a lot of marching (or running from riot police). It's a great way to meet new people, get some exercise, and feel like you're making a difference, even if you're not quite sure what the difference is. And who knows, you might even witness a bit of "excitement" as tensions boil over. A little murder and mayhem keeps things interesting, right? (Just try to avoid being a participant.)
Green Dreams, Red Tape Nightmares (and Bin Collection Fiascos)
Our esteemed Green Council has blessed us with a cornucopia of innovative policies, such as pedestrianising the entire city centre and banning private cars (except for those belonging to council members, of course). Commuting has become a thrilling adventure, where you can test your fitness by cycling up, and downhill for miles on a railway path, where the latest fashions in Lycra attempt to put Paris and Milan to shame and fail miserably. Or try your luck with the notoriously unreliable public transport. And don't even get us started on the bin collections. Schemes galore, but they can't even manage the basics.
Crime: A Touch of Gritty Realism (and Occasional Mayhem)
While Bristol boasts a thriving arts scene, it also has a darker side. Stabbings, shootings, and the occasional riot add a touch of "excitement" to everyday life. But don't worry, the police are on it... eventually. They're just a bit outnumbered.
Council Tax: Where Does It All Go? (Certainly Not Here)
We pay a hefty sum for the privilege of living in this urban paradise, but it's hard to see where all that money goes. The streets are littered with potholes, the parks are overgrown, and the libraries are closed. But hey, at least our council is committed to funding "inclusive" art projects and hiring diversity consultants. Priorities, people, priorities!
Oh, and forgive me for not giving a full and proper mention to cyclists.
Clad in Lycra so bright it could guide ships at sea, they pedal with the righteous fury of a Tour de France contender, even when navigating a shared-use path. Their expressions, a mix of grim determination and smug superiority, suggest they're single-handedly saving the planet, one aggressively claimed metre of cycle path at a time. Meanwhile, pedestrians and other users scatter like startled pigeons, desperately trying to avoid becoming roadkill on the altar of sustainable transport.
Meanwhile, in a hipster suburb of the city centre, a coffee shop awaits its next customer with the trepidation of yet another demanding protagonist.
He, or she approaches the coffee shop counter, not with a plea for caffeine sustenance, but with an air of eco-conscious determination. "I require," they intone, their voice resonating with the gravitas of a seasoned climate activist addressing the UN General Assembly, "a decaf double-shot soy latte. Organic, fair trade, of course. And make sure it's organic, fair-trade, and shade-grown â wouldn't want to contribute to the destruction of the rainforest canopy, now would we? And," a dramatic pause, "absolutely no disposable cup."
A subtle nod towards one's own reusable bamboo cup follows, a silent yet potent reminder of one's commitment to reducing waste. A gentle sigh escapes one's lips as the barista, bless their soul, fumbles with the soy milk carton. "And please," one adds, "ensure the soy is non-GMO and locally sourced. We must support our local farmers, after all. Even if we are only in Bristol, where the closest thing to a rainforest is Leigh Woods"
The barista, a young individual whose weary eyes suggest a familiarity with the daily grind (both literal and metaphorical), nods wearily. They reach for a compostable cup, crafted from the sustainably harvested tears of a responsibly raised bamboo shoot.
"Hold," our protagonist commands, raising a hand adorned with rings made from recycled bullet casings. "Is this cup actually compostable? I need certification. Independent verification. Peer-reviewed studies on its biodegradability. I will not contribute to the microplastic crisis! Think of the plankton!"
As the barista diligently prepares the beverage, one's gaze drifts towards the disposable cups lining the shelves, a symbol of the environmental catastrophe that is mass consumption. A mental note is made to write a strongly worded letter to the boss, urging them to switch to exclusively biodegradable cups made from recycled seaweed.
A hush falls over the café. All eyes are on the unfolding drama. A nearby customer, clutching a suspiciously large Frappuccino, nervously shuffles their feet.
The barista, now visibly sweating, frantically consults a laminated chart detailing the cup's eco-credentials. "It's⊠it's made from⊠uh⊠plant-based materials," they stammer.
"Plant-based!" our protagonist exclaims, their voice dripping with scorn. "Which plants? Were they ethically sourced? Did they have sentience? What's their carbon footprint? I need to see the supply chain! I need to know the name of the farmer who lovingly nurtured these plant fibres! I demand transparency!"
The tension in the room is palpable. A single, ethically sourced, locally roasted coffee bean rolls across the floor, the sound amplified in the sudden silence.
Finally, after what feels like an eternity, the barista produces a certificate, stamped with the logo of the "Global Association for the Ethical Treatment of Flora and Fauna."Â Our protagonist scrutinises it with a magnifying glass fashioned from recycled ocean plastic.
"Hmm," they murmur, a hint of suspicion lingering in their voice. "Iâll need to run my own independent tests. I have a portable spectrometer in my hemp satchel."
Finally, the moment arrives. The decaf double-shot soy latte, a beacon of eco-consciousness in a world drowning in plastic straws and non-recyclable coffee pods. One accepts the cup with a gracious smile, a silent pat on the back for a job well done in the fight against climate change.
The latte is eventually deemed acceptable, after a thorough interrogation of its constituent parts. Our hero accepts the beverage, but not before lecturing the barista on the evils of single-use lids (even the compostable ones).
And so, another small victory is won in the ongoing war against environmental destruction.
One latte at a time, the world is being saved, or at least, thoroughly scrutinised. One can only hope that the barista, after this ordeal, will seek therapy, perhaps paid for with the ethically sourced tips from a grateful, if slightly intimidated, clientele. The sheer audacity of this single purchase, this eco-battle waged over a caffeinated beverage, reverberates through the very fabric of society. It is a microcosm of the larger struggle, a symbol of the righteous indignation of the environmentally conscious, a beacon of hope in a world drowning in plastic and despair, a⊠well, itâs a latte. But a very important latte. A latte that probably cost more than my eco-friendly pack of bamboo loo rolls. Bamboo saved from the ravages of an overfed panda at London Zoo (don't even get me started on Zoo's, by the way!). A latte that Iâm pretty sure just judged me. And you know what? Itâs probably right to judge me. I haven't even recycled my aura today.
In a society where sipping a latte is a political statement, one must ensure their beverage aligns with their values. After all, what's the point of saving the planet if you can't Instagram a picture of your reusable bamboo cup while doing it?
So, there you have it - a glimpse into the joys of living in Bristol. It's a city where you can experience the best (and worst) of urban life, all for the price of a small fortune, your sanity, and maybe a bit of personal safety. But hey, at least it's never boring. And who knows, maybe one day, things will get better. But don't hold your breath.

Car Rentals Milan Airport
Milan Airport, officially known as Milan Malpensa Airport, is one of the busiest airports in Italy. One of the best ways to explore Milan and its surroundings is by renting a car from the airport.
Car rental companies at Milan Airport
There are several car rental companies operating at Milan airport, including international car rental brands like Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, and Sixt. Additionally, there are some local operators to choose from. Most of these car rental companies have their offices inside the Terminal.

Requirements for renting a car at Milan airport
Before renting a vehicle, there are requirements you should meet to be eligible. You must have a valid driving license and passport or ID card. Minimum hiring age is 21 and you should have held your license for at least two years. You will also need a credit card. Most car rental companies may require an international driver's license if your license is not in English and/or not issued in the EU. Make sure you read the terms and conditions for any restrictions and be aware of any extra charges.
Car models and prices
You can choose from a wide range of vehicle types at Milan airport. Depending on your budget and the number of passengers, you can rent economy cars, mid-size cars, or SUVs. Be sure to check the car's specifications before renting it to ensure it meets your requirements. Prices for renting a car at Milan airport depend on many factors, including the type of car, the rental duration, and the time of year.

Driving in Milan
Milan is a bustling city with heavy traffic congestion. It is highly recommended to use a GPS or a map to avoid getting lost in the many narrow streets. Be prepared to pay tolls when driving on the highway, and always ensure you have enough fuel in the tank. It is also worth noting that Milan enforces restricted traffic zones (ZTL) and operates a congestion charge area called "Area B," which only allows low emissions vehicles, so be sure to check with the rental company when renting your car if there are pre-paid options available that may be useful for you.
Renting a car at Milan airport is an excellent way to explore the city and its environs. With several car rental companies to choose from, you'll be able to pick the ideal car that suits your requirements and budget. With a little bit of planning and care, you can make the most of your time in Milan with a rental car.

Hereâs what you need to know about taking a Taxi Milan Airport to Lake Como.
Choosing Your Airport
Milan is served by two main airports: Malpensa (MXP) and Linate (LIN). Both airports offer access to Lake Como, but your choice might influence your travel time and taxi fare. Malpensa, being the larger international airport, is located further away, approximately 80 kilometers from Lake Como. Linate is closer, about 65 kilometers southeast of Lake Como. Depending on your arrival airport, you can expect the taxi ride to Lake Como to take between 60 to 90 minutes.
Taxi Services at Milan Airports
Upon landing, youâll find that both airports have well-organized taxi ranks located outside the arrivals terminals. These taxis are licensed and metered, ensuring that the fare you pay is regulated and fair. The standard taxis are usually comfortable sedans equipped to handle up to four passengers, although larger vehicles can be arranged if youâre traveling with more people or extra luggage.
It's advisable to use only the official taxi services to avoid overcharges. Look for taxis that clearly display the official city signage and ask about the estimated fare to Lake Como before beginning your journey.
Pre-booking Your Taxi
