GETTING OFF ON THE NEXT "BUS STOP" WITH MARILYN MONROE FOR A HALLOWEEN ESCAPADE...
----------------HOWEVER-------------------
ROLL ON BABY ...
AND THE BEAT GOES ON
Bus Stop is a 1956 American romantic comedy-drama film directed by Joshua Logan.
Unlike most of Monroe's films, Bus Stop is neither a full-fledged comedy nor a musical, but rather a dramatic piece; it was the first film she appeared in after studying at the Actors Studio in New York. Monroe does, however, sing one song: "That Old Black Magic" by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer.
Bus Stop is based on the 1955 play of the same name (which in turn was expanded from an earlier, one-act play titled People in the Wind) by William Inge. The inspiration for the play came from people Inge met in Tonganoxie, Kansas.

As Anderson relates, “My biggest inspiration for the story was to show how us humans are constantly ruining relationships over the smallest things. This is something everyone’s done so I wanted to encapsulate it in a very contained fable. It ends up being a pretty universal thing people can connect to.”

REBLOGS:-1- SHORT FILM: URBANCE (2015) DUST -2-ILUSTRATOR Aubrey Beardsley: Withered Spring -3- Luaral and Hardy LIBERTY (1929) -4-Mojave Moon (1996) Angelina Jolie (1196)
SHORT FILM
“Urbance” is a captivating sci-fi short film that combines Japanese anime and video game influences with a Western urban flair. Directed by Joël Dos Reis Viegas and Sébastien Larroudé, this 8-minute animated film is set in a future where sex is deadly due to an invasive corporation’s rule. Here are the key points: Plot Summary: In a dystopian world, sex means death, and interaction between men and women is strictly regulated. The action centers around an underground nightclub where lost teenagers organize electrifying dance battles and drink illegal N-DORFIN. Organizers try to keep the parties secret from 24/7 surveillance, but the threat of violent intervention from “Mediators,” high-tech corporate police, is constant. Visual Flair: The animation style is gorgeously slick, inspired by anime and Western urban aesthetics. The multi-racial cast and edgy fusion of gangs, drugs, and sex add to its uniqueness. Potential for Cult Status: While not perfect, “Urbance” demands attention due to its ambitious vision and execution. Originally designed as a pilot, it raised over $200,000 Canadian dollars through a successful Kickstarter campaign. Two video games based on the “Urbance” universe are now in development. (AI Copilot) Urbance is a French-Canadian anime project-series created and written by Joel Dos Reis Viegas. On September 22, 2014, the project started off as a Kickstarter campaign targeted to a 16+ gay audience. On November 6, 2014, the project was successfully funded. The first episode premiered in The Pit on the official site on September 24, 2015 and was only available for backers. It was officially released to the public on March 2, 2016. Aubrey Beardsley’s illustration “Withered Spring” was created in the Art Nouveau style. It depicts a female portrait and is inspired by a true story. Unfortunately, the specific details of the story behind this illustration are not readily available. Beardsley’s black ink drawings often explored the grotesque, decadent, and erotic, making his work instantly recognizable (AI Copilot)
Aubrey Vincent Beardsley (21 August 1872 – 16 March 1898) was an English illustrator and author. His black ink drawings were influenced by Japanese woodcuts, and depicted the grotesque, the decadent, and the erotic. He was a leading figure in the aesthetic movement which also included Oscar Wilde and James McNeill Whistler. Beardsley's contribution to the development of the Art Nouveau and poster styles was significant despite his early death from tuberculosis. He is one of the important Modern Style figures.
